Loved the beef and chicken empenadas!

Very good food at good prices. The sides are fresh and delicious. We had roast chicken. We’ll be back to try other dishes.

Great place to eat chicken Milanese delicious, fried plantains good appetizer and the potato and pork soup was yummy.

I eat here almost everyday... Totally love this place and the staff that runs it.. not one issue or complaint, ever.

This will sound like an exaggeration but it isn't. Ordered 1/2 chicken with red beans and rice sides. Chicken was way over cooked, dry AND had no flavor. The rice was basic, plain white rice. The red beans were OK but nothing special. However after I bit into something in the beans, a chicken rib bone I think, I gave up on all of it.

It was closed before the scheduled hour. We drove 15 minutes for restaurant to be closed real early. We ate at neighboring restaurant which was very good.

Did a pick up order. The Steak sandwich was really really good and whatever bread they used was really good too. Empanadas were good but nothing special in my opinion, however I wasn't a huge fan of the dip, which seemed to be just sour cream. Calamari was decent but I wouldn't pay $11 for it again. Overall, pretty nifty little spot.

I've been a customer here since 2005. They kindly remember me which is nice. Best part is the food which is much better than the unassuming strip mall location. You just have to try them.

We've been here multiple times, ordered different choices from the menu every time & never disappointed. The server is always so friendly & accommodating. My friend says he's been to many Peruvian restaurants & none are as good as this one. This place is so underrated!! Hope we can spread the word so others can understand how fresh food tastes🙂

I am Peruvian and I took 4 tamales to take away $8 each expensive for a tamale with bad taste, too much maseca and it looked like a greasy puree OMG if this is how the tamale is, what will the rest be like?

This place is great. I drive by it so many times but never stopped in. That all changed this morning! I met a colleague there for breakfast and it didn't disappoint at all. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our table was even changed without us requesting because the owner felt like we'd be more comfortable at a bigger table. He was right about that. We got some coffee and it came out so quick and it was definitely hot and fresh I had the shrimp and spinach omelet with rice and sausage links. It was so good. I never thought to have rice with breakfast but it worked. Definitely delicious. Now I need to make it a point to go back for lunch or dinner and check out other menu items. Fast and friendly service with delicious food. What more could you ask for?!?

Ropa Vieja was dry and had no sauce. I was surprised that it was done with brisket, which is fine but the flavor was not like typical Ropa Vieja. There were very little tomato and onion in it as well.

This is a nice hidden gem in the Gaithersburg area. The food is great and the service is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend it.

Love this little place! Food and service are excellent. Not much of a drink selection (canned/bottled sodas & iced teas; there were some beer in their fridge), but that didn't both us one bit. The Inka Chicken was moist delicious and went well with the yuca and fried plantains. The Ropa Vieja was just as delicious and partnered perfectly with the rice, black beans and also came with the fried plantains. Food servings were very generous. We were full but we really wanted to try their Bananas Tres Leches and their Alfajores - - we were so happy we did! The tres leches wasn't too banana-ey, which was great for me. We can't wait to come back and try their other dishes!

The Nibbler has the best Peruvian food in Gaithersburg. The service is excellent, and the black bean soup is highly recommended.

I came in and didn’t see rotisserie chicken. I said that there wasn’t rotisserie chicken so i didn’t want to stay, but my girlfriend found it and pointed it out to me on the menu. The entire conversation took place directly in front of the waitress who took our drink order and immediately after opening our drinks said there was no rotisserie chicken available. For a Peruvian restaurant not to have it available is ridiculous, but to knowingly hide the fact until after opening our drinks was nearly criminal. Never trust this place.

This is carryout from ordering online with Door Dash. (hint to all restaurants, get online, I like to read the menus and the ease of communication) I’d been wanting to try The Nibbler for years. I was not disappointed. I got 1/4 dark meat chicken plus, plantains and yucca. Oh yes, flan. Big delicious flan done well. The prices are still very reasonable. If I come again I’ll try the steaks. Very humble little restaurant (from what I could see) the chicken was charcoal grilled. Large pieces of chicken too. No tiny chickens here. Did I mention their green sauce? Not too spicy, Its a yummy dipping sauce. Restaurants that stay around for years. There’s a reason why they do

This is a Peruvian restaurant but it also has German food on the menu. I heard about the German food by reading about it in a Google review. The Rahm Schnitzel with mushrooms and gravy is wonderful and the spatzle was some of the best I have ever had. We went back and the second time was just as good. The fried fish plate was overcooked but still enjoyable. I was happy to see that they have unsweetened iced tea. Our server was very accommodating and efficient. Prices are fair considering you are getting veal. Everything is made to order. If you like German food and live in MoCo this is really your only option and it’s a good one.

Everything I got here was cooked perfectly. And it smelled so clean. Service with a smile to top it off. Such a nice, hidden little place.

All I have to say is LOMO!!! The food is delicious tucked away in a small strip mall in Gaithersburg. The women in there are extremely nice... service is descent... food delicious 😋... Peruvian food done well feel like your eating out of there kitchen in a restaurant setting ... I typically carry out ... but have been meaning to dine in

The food is very good, I had been near this restaurant many times but had not entered, very good food, your chef prepares it for you and you see him do his magic, the old clothes are very good, the papa a la huancaina is exquisite muy rica la comida,había estado muchas veces cerca de este restaurante pero no había entrado,muy buena comida,su chef se la prepara y usted lo ve hacer su magia,la ropa vieja muy buena,la papa a la huancaina exquisita

I live far away now. I used to go weekly when my son was younger. When the original chef/owner. My son now lives in California and still remember our dinner when he was 6 years old thru his teen years.

Stopped in here on a whim while our child was tumbling at Maryland Twisters Gaithersburg down the street. Food was awesome! Staff was friendly and attentive.

Been going for over 20 years and love it. The Ropa Viejo is great, as is their green sauce. Their fish specials are also always delicious.

My wife and I ordered food for pickup. We had a lomo saltado, ají de gallina, the calamari, empanadas de pollo and some alfajores. We were delighted with the food, the way it was packaged and most importantly- the way it tasted. We will come back for more, delicious Peruvian food!

I work very close to this lovely little spot, and a large amount of my coworkers stop at this shopping center(and this restaurant in particular) for breakfast etc before we start our day. The friendly staff, the food being amazingly delicious combined with large portions at a reasonable price has made me a customer for life. There was one thing in particular that has made me a repeat customer (besides the amazing food). After my first visit, I returned the next day to get their awesome food again. What blew me away was this very simple thing: They remembered my name. That's the kind of small details that make this restaurant such a special place in my eyes

The food was quite good -- good recommendations from staff. I like hidden gems like this one ! We hadn't been for a few years, but we will be back more often!

Cute little spot that is beautifully decorated. The food is very good and my 4 year old grandson tried the llapangachos. His choices for supper are either pizza or hotdogs so this was amazing to see him enjoy the tastes from around the world. Definitely will stop back as the lady working there was very friendly and we would like to try some other dishes too.

Very good perivian food very nice place to go eat with the family. At least my service was good when I went to the nibbler and the waiter was very polite to me although the place is kind of old and it it's also kind dirty but overall very nice place to eat out with the family

This place is small but has a great atmosphere. We loved the details on the painted wall murals. The Service was fast and courteous. Everyone enjoyed their food, we got a variety of things.

Had lunch here last weekend. The place looks like a no frills cafe, the atmosphere is basic but surprisingly has it delicious dishes. We had a starter of fat pancakes, made with potatoes and stuffed with cheese, served a side of avocado and a few sauces. One seemed like a cilantro Verde sauce, the other was a a light mustard based sauce. The food is supposed to be Peruvian but there are hints of Phillipino flavors as my dish had a peanut sauce. My friend is a regular and knew what was best to order. He said the pork and beef were the signature dishes..I opted for the stew with beef, pork, potatoes and peanut sauce. His beef dish was definitely superiora to mine and was priced at $18.95, whereas my stew was $13.95. I had food envy as his was served with plaintains..if you go here, try the potato pancakes but stick with the two house signature dishes.

With a name like “The Nibbler” you know it’s gotta be good, right? Well, this authentic Peruvian restaurant does not fail to deliver in terms of quality food. The whole place is really fantastic. Everything on the menu is wonderful and the service is always excellent. I love the Nibbler and highly recommend this restaurant to lots and lots of people. Don’t miss it.

The people were pleasant and very nice. The food was disappointing. I've had much better. They get 3 stars because they're so kind. If I was grading the food alone I'd give 1 star. I've had much better Peruvian food from other places.

I go there frequently. Food is always tasty. The pasta with beef is my favorite - good with or without the sauce.

I had the Carapulcra, and it wasn't terrible, but it was kind of bland and it wasn't cooked traditionally. It's a difficult dish to make around here, so I was surprised they even had it. My husband had the steak sandwich and he liked it. The place is cute and it has a nice mural.
