Food is good don’t get me wrong but do yourself a favor and give yourself over an hour of time if you want to eat here. Not usually one to leave reviews but I ordered jerk pork and rice and peas and waited 45 minutes for my plate. I could cook the stuff myself for a group of 10 in less time. So much for my hour lunch break that job provides, ridiculous wait time

My first time trying and I ordered the stewed chicken with Mac n cheese & cornbread. The chicken was so tender and full of flavor, the Mac n cheese & the rice & beans were good but it was very dry and the cornbread was very good. I ordered beef patties but wasn't able to get them because they weren't ready when I got there, I waited a good 20-30 mins and they still wasn't ready so I just had them give me 2 more sides. I will definitely be eating there again 💕

Stoped by the restaurant while I was in Mount Dora for the day. I tried the curried goat and it was very tasty. The sweet cornbread was the best we’ve had. I wish I ordered more. I’ll definitely stop by whenever I’m in Mount Dora again. Next time I’ll visit earlier so I can try the soup.

First time trying was not so great. Curry chicken was dry and a bit overcooked. Macaroni was not so pleasant tasting and the collard greens were very salty. Rice and peas were okay. I had to ask for a refund as I could not enjoy my plate. They were slightly rude and made remarks but I did not say anything back. Cook claimed half of food was eaten which was not true. They issued a refund. I will not return here again.

This place has the nastiest customer service I have experienced in quite some time. They are very short and often time outright rude! I had the phone slammed in my ear for asking if there was any fresh made chicken! If you are looking for a calm hospitable place to get get food..THIS IS NOT IT!

Don't waste your time, you order something and after approximately 1 hour you go to pick it up and they don't have what you ordered, (why didn't they cancel my order?!) And not to mention the mess they had there when I went to get the order. JUST NO

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the owner, who engaged me in a delightful conversation about New York and the restaurant itself. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was phenomenal! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and I couldn't help but call my husband to share my excitement. I ended up ordering him the jerk chicken, and when I picked it up. Back home an hour away, my husband and I both agreed that Night Owl serves some of the best Jamaican food we've ever had in Florida. The flavors were authentic and unforgettable. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend Night Owl to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. I’m new to the area and I’ve had plenty of back-home (jamacian) food! Restaurants, friends, my family cooking, or myself. But the food from this restaurant was amazing. The beef pattie and coco bread was top tier! It nuh dry. The oxtail was tender and season up real nice! The rice! Tuh! Mi dun nuh who cook it, but let mi tell yuh! It was perfect. Not a single clump in it and it nuh hard. You can definitely tell they take their time cooking. The restaurant tidy, and is complimented with music and the dining area and restrooms are well kept. Aside from this, the customer service is great, and even the cooks in the kitchen greet you when dem walk by they don’t rish you to check your order prior to leaving. They’re very kind and the food is very good. I will definitely be back again. May the Lord continue to bless your business and bring peace to your establishment. Amen.

This was my first time eating here and the food was AMAZING! I ordered the lunch special curry chicken with white rice and macaroni and cheese. I didn’t even make it out of the parking lot before my plate was half finished. The service was great and they helped me choice the right thing, everyone there was so helpful and friendly. 10/10

My husband and I were treated to this place and we enjoyed the experience. The food was amazingly seasoned and the amount of 1 dinner was enough for two meals. The environment was clean and accommodating. We definitely recommend.

This is very good jerk chicken. Half a chicken, rice and beans(not peas), collards and plantains for $14.00. Very generous portions, easily enough for two good eaters. When I picked up my order, I knew there was a lot of food in the box. I ate at the Ocho Ríos Jerk Center a couple weeks ago. Night Owl is just as good, maybe better. Night Owl is definitely a better value than Ochos Ríos Jerk Center.

It's definitely not jerk chicken, once you remove the skin it is just plain NO flava. My husband is Jamaican and I've been there several times. What a disappointment.

My post got to keep it real. The food wasn't as good as it used to be my oxtail wasn't as tender as back in the days rice and beans no juice on them collards greens could've been more tender also get rid of the sweet cornbread I like to eat my greens with the cornbread the sweet stuff to tender no hold to it.

Arrive hungry! The portions are generous; enough for two meals. I had the jerk pork, collards, rice with peas, and mac & cheese. The sauce was very spicy but there was also a sweet sauce. Nothing fancy here, but modest places usually have the best food, and fair prices.

FANTASTIC Jamaican food! We feel So BLESSED to have decided to treat ourselves to some jerk chicken from the Night Owl today—it was truly the best we’ve ever had (and the hub has been to Jamaica and eaten it there multiple times)! Delicious collard greens (which I normally don’t get to eat due to the pork, but these were flavored with turkey). We tried two different BBQ sauces with our jerk chicken—the King and the sweet—and loved them both. He ordered the inexpensive lunch special and I pigged out with the plate—HUGE!—and have a full portion left over for later. Highly recommend this small and unpretentious place that makes Jamaican food right outta this World! ⚫️🟡🟢

By far the best oxtails I've had in my life! It was close to closing time and they didn't have enough plantains for a full order so they charged me for exactly what they had. Honest and nice people. Definitely going back.

Ordered oxtail dinner with greens and friend chicken with sweet cornbread and Night Owl is hands down the best Caribbean Cuisine. You can taste the love and the culture with every bite. Not the place to go when on a diet! The price are low and the portions are over filling and the flavor way too good to the point of non stop eating. My favorite is the weekend special Goat Soup, the best I've ever tasted, the fresh steam vegies like Okra or Colar Green, Coenbread, Oxtail, Jerk Chicken and Pork are best to none and let's not forget the Sweet Potato Pie. I recommend this place to anyone with a good appetite.

I went to Night Owl what I considered late for fresh food; I googled Jamaican food near me & they close at 10:00. I get there about 9:30 & after ordering “what was left from menu”, the fellow comes out to my car to address not being able to fill order & he catered to my friend’s request for stew chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, green beans & corn bread & there was enough oxtail for a small order for me…Both meals were so DELICIOUS THAT I WILL MAKE THIS MY FAVORITE go-to restaurant for Jamaican cuisine. 👍🏼♥️👌🏼

I moved up here from Miami, which means I was looking for some authentic Caribbean cuisine. Tried the food here and it did not let me down. Very happy to have found it, and is now bookmarked as one of my go to restaurants in Lake County!

We FINALLY tried Night Owl for dinner tonight and OH WOW. We’ve been missing out. The jerk chicken is incredible. Our son practically inhaled the stewed turkey and the sweet cornbread... I ate it all and didn’t share. Thank you so much! If we could give you 100/5 stars, we would! We’re absolutely adding you to our regular take-out rotation!

By far the best Jamaican restaurant in lake county period! Food is fantastic and the customer service is excellent. The guy taking your order name is Nitro and he knows exactly what he is doing and always try and find a way to save you money. Make sure you try the oxtail and be sure to get the cornbread 🔥. Lastly, they have a very affordable lunch special for only $6.99 from 11am to 3pm Tuesday through Friday take advantage of that Jerk Chicken its excellent. Overall I love this place and I promise they will not let you down!

Delicious food. Fantastic prices. Huge portions. Wonderful flavors full of Caribbean flair, the Jerk chicken was by far my favorite and we tried one of everything on the lunch menu. The lunch menu was amazingly priced at just $7 for an overflowing to go container. Definitely recommend grabbing some food to go.
