Excellent Food and Service. Great flavor in all dishes I have tried and some fantastic juice as well. Always friendly and welcoming when you arrive.

I am a new customer as of this week, and I’ve been twice already. Nola Nica has so many positives: great and friendly service, great food, and a very clean restaurant. Nola Nica has a lifelong customer! I ordered the taquitos with rice and beans and then the lunch special: quesadilla and fries. *The entrance can be hard to spot from the street. Look for the Royal Blue awning.

One of the best burgers ever! I ordered the Nola Nica buger on separate occasions, and it was top rated as expected every time. Hidden in a corporate type building but amazing environment once inside the resurant. Wish they would open outside of lunch hours so I could come back more often! Don't pass this place, its worth traveling for!

Every so often in life, you run across people who are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. These people were meant to make the best food possible, with excellent sourcing of ingredients, and the most kind and welcoming service. If you are by the airport in New Orleans, why suffer anything less? It's a 12 hr drive from my house, and I am considering the trip.

Food was excellent, very humble service with tons of gratitude, and a nice cozy place. It was a little difficult to find for a first timer, but it was definitely worth searching for!

This is my favorite place to eat in the Nola area hands down. From their warm, authentic hospitality to the freshness of the food…you can just tell these people love what they do! They literally have the best burger in NOLA!! My husband and I came one day for burgers and they were sold out so the chef, Carlos, offered to whip us up something. When I tell you, it was delicious…I just can’t!! It was so good. They are so sweet. I can’t recommend them enough!!! God bless Nola Nica because they sure bless me!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️

I've been waiting to try this place, and boy was I in for a wonderful treat! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Korean BBQ taco special. 2 chicken, 1 pork and 1 beef with street corn and their rice. Absolutely delicious. I savored each bite to allow the flavor palette to dance over my taste buds. I will definitely be back. The melon juice was a delicious drink as well. I just wish they were closer to where I live, but whenever work takes me out that way I'll be there to eat! Bring your friends, they will thank you. Service is quick and friendly!!

One of the best lunches I’ve had in a months. This was my first time trying Nicaraguan food and it was amazing. I’m gluten intolerant and that was no issue at all. I had the Chancho frito, and the pork was extremely good. I really liked the rice and beans but the plantains were so flavorful. The sauces that went with the plantains and pork were perfect balance of zest and balance. The juice wasn't too sweet and very refreshing! The staff were so friendly/helpful and the prices were so good I felt guilty. 5 stars easily

Everyone is so friendly. The address on google is not right. It’s on 120 mallard street in a building with blue canopy. Had to call to find out the address. Food and passion fruit lemonade was amazing.

First class place. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. It's kind of tucked away inside an office building but it's not hard to find. The food was delicious! I don't know much about Nicaraguan cuisine, but I got the Pollo al Carbon plate and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

El plátano maduro estuvo delicioso, lo demás no me gusto para nada, sentí que bote mi dinero, la ensalada no tenía ácido (no se si se les olvidó o así la hacen) la carne súper dura, en resumen he comido comida nicaragüense y definitivamente ha sido deliciosa. Me extraño ver que estaba tan bien calificado no se si cambiaron de cocinero o que pero no me gusto para nada, definitivamente no volveria.

The food was incredible, something different with great flavors. Couldn't finish everything. Huge portion. New location was hard to locate, but worth the find. Definitely going back!!!

This place is excellent! I have been coming here a minimum of once a week, usually 2 or 3 times a week, for a year and a half. The staff is amazing and nice and the food is off the chain. I've tried almost all of the specials and I have yet to have anything bad and I have never been disappointed. Even if you order the same thing over and over it does not get boring. Eating here is always the highlight of my day.

Excellent steak torta. Fries were on point. I also had the jalapeño yuca cakes, which were tasty but not spicy at all. Fried queso was burnt. This was a great meal overall a gem for Kenner.

First time here was an amazing experience. I was a little apprehensive because I didn't understand the menu but everything was explained to me. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Edit: Ate here several times again for lunch and as always, the food is perfect and the service is excellent. It's such a treat to come here and eat.

Chef Carlos is the best! (OK everyone is great!) Get the Nica burger! My favorite! Everything I've had was always on point and delicious! And if you don't care for cilantro... Just let them know! They will accommodate. I'm lucky because I work right near them but wherever you are just stop by and get breakfast, lunch, or dinner to go!

Nola Nica is a dream come true for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their food. The only reason I give it 4 stars is cuz they are NEVER OPEN!!! They don't communicate schedules so it's imposible or a gamble to actually see if you can find them open which can be hard when you live far from Kenner.

It’s rare that a restaurant can completely satisfy me. A friend of ours recommended this place to us. I went in with high hopes and really no expectations. But I left fully satisfied. The food, the staff, everything, excellent. If you haven’t tried this place then it needs to go to the top of your list.

Those taquitos got me on another plane of existence. They messed up by making them too good because I legit haven't tasted any of their other food.

I've seen this place on Door Dash a million times and I now pass it everyday on my commute so I finally gave it a try and WOW! I had the chicken taquitos and a side of plantains and it was delicious. The counter staff woman was also a sweetheart! As of 9/25/20 their menu is not fully up to date online so just beware if you have your heart set on something and it is not on the menu in person (aka me today with the empanada). Nonetheless I plan to go back and try everything on the menu because supporting LOCAL IS MY JAM and so is their food!

I got the Fritanga. It is so much food and all so well done. The yucca was the best I had ever had. It virtually melted in my mouth. The texture was great and the tasty quite wonderful. It was definitely the highlight. But, everything else was good too. Carne asada, chancho frito, tajadas fritas, plstano frito, etc. Go look up the menu, the Fritanga can feed two, but I ate over a few hours, going back and forth between working and snacking.

Great hospitality, and a menu full of tasty and fun items, made this a great place to stop in for a bite.

I absolutely love this restaurant, it reminds me of my mom's cooking. I highly recommend the Fritanga, as it is a sample platter of just about everything that you would get in a traditional Nicaraguan meal. The portion sizes in quality of the food that you get for what you pay for is definitely a great value. Carlos, the chef and owner, is very nice and welcomes his guests here. The next time I'm in this area, I am definitely gonna start eating here more often.

NolaNica is a welcomed change and now on my list of "go to" places. While located farther than I typically like to travel (on Airline past the airport), it was definitely worth the drive. I was nervous about being able to find the restaurant, but I was easily able to spot it from the road. The interior is small, but very nicely put together. The service was awesome! The guy (possibly the owner) that took my order was great in offering suggestions. He also was happy to answer any questions we had. After ordering, we received our food really quick. I had the NolaNica Burger. OMG! Best burger ever! It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth, with so many textures and moving parts. It came with fries and they were equally good! I don't typically eat burgers, but this burger has defied the odds. I wanted to try the Nacatamal, but they unfortunately had run out. We arrived around 5pm, so Mental Note: Get there earlier next time! The other guest had the taquitos, which came with rice/beans and coleslaw. I loved the coleslaw, but it may take some getting use to for others.

Very reasonable prices for delicious, authentic food from our home country, Managua, Nicaragua! Must have the delicious Carne Azada. The Quesillo is also delicious and another “must have” menu item. The owner is very attentive and courteous, a rare trait in today’s restaurants. You will not be hungry and broke after a meal! I strongly recommend it.
