Very welcoming from the moment we walked in. The young man working the counter was patient, kind and informative. He showed us all the food available and served us generously. The best Jamaican spot in town by far. Definitely coming back

Anytime I am in the Lakeland area visiting my mom I take her to Nyammins to enjoy some Jamaican dishes she doesn’t normally cook at home, like Oxtail or Curry goat. The food is the best of all the Jamaican restaurants we have tried in the area. My mom raves about the Oxtail and the soursop juice made fresh everyday. She looks forward to going to Nyammins whenever I visit.

We flew in from Boston and google-searched for a good restaurant in Lakeland. Nyammins Kitchen had a 4.8. WELL DESERVED. Very clean, excellent wholesome food and delicious healthy drinks (I had carrot/ginger). There are only two tables for eat-in, but while we ate there we saw a stream of happy take-out customers. Nice people, excellent food and a ONE-LOVE vibe.

From the parking lot, i smelled the food, upon walk in, the gentleman kindly greeted me and explained the menu, he was very helpful. I got 2 large curry goat rice and Peas one Greens and one cabbage. Beef Patty's and a few of the seamoss drinks. Everything was amazing, flavorful, balanced, the greens tender, The plate was hardy. Best money spent today. I have to say the best Jamaican food in Lakeland so far. And I've tried many they have my business.

This is my go to for authentic Jamaican food. Always clean. Food always fresh. The juices are great too.

Huge portions at fair prices, friendly fast and most importantly , DELICIOUS. Large can easily feed 2 people.

The food was great. The customer service was stellar. My sister and I was visiting from Orlando for my spring graduation from SEU. Back home we had never experienced an even balanced with food and customer both being amazing. Thank you again for your beautiful hospitality. In fact, a regular who was in front of us in the line offered to pay our lunch. Very unexpected...overall great experience, great food. God is good

Small joint serving up some really good Caribbean island food to go. The lady that owns the place very personal and friendly. Parking is limited. But the food is really good.

First of many visits to come. Purchased the medium Jerk Pasta dish which provided ample portions and it was perfectly seasoned! Mrs. Natalie and Giovanni were very personable and attentive to me the entire time while dining in. As I stated earlier, I will be returning soon and often!

Owners were friendly and inviting. The food was so flavorful and delicious. They give a good serving. I have food for day. Definitely worth the price.

I have reviewed alot of food establishments. Nyammins Kitchen and Grill has the best tasting meal I've even had. First I had a sampling of their curry goat and chicken. Both were amazing, but I was interested in the ox tail. The owner made me a plate of ox tail, rice / beans and collard greens. The ox was perfectly cooked and it fell off the bone. The rice and beans along with the gravy off the ox tail mixed together wonderfully. The greens were perfect, not overly salty. I will definitely be making continued visits here. 10/10.

Their food was pretty good especially their fried chicken. That was pretty good. The only comment would be their rice and beans. It was pretty bland like plain rice. But overall it was good. The fried chicken was pretty impressive.

This restaurant popped up while I was searching up a location in the lakeland area. I looked at the reviews and what they offer and to see if it was a place my friends and I could stop and eat at....let me tell you I'm so glad we did eat here. The oxtails were one of the best I've ever had. So flavorful and Giovanni was so great with helping my friends pick out our food options. So friendly and the customer service was on point 👌🏾. You won't be disappointed. Next time I'm in the area, I'm definitely making a stop here again! Thanks again Giovanni.

Visiting from out of state, I managed to talk my folks into trying dinner at Nyammin's. They were not disappointed! Dad had the steamed fish, Mom had the brown stew chicken. The man assured me that my dad, with his allergy to red meat, is totally safe getting any of the chicken or fish dishes as everything is prepared separately. I ordered the ox tail and he kept all our sides separate from that, so my Dad would be safe trying everything he could eat. We got boiled banana, yellow yam and sweet plantain. It was all so good, and the folks running the place were great, very friendly and helpful with making up our minds. The man even gave us a couple pieces of cornbread to go with our coffee in the morning. My only regret is I won't be here long enough to try everything else! Haile I recommend!

Traveled 40 minutes for this. arrived 5 minutes before closing. Food was hot and fresh I got the ox tails and cabbage, the food is amazing. Everything seasoned to perfection with love and care. Definitely my go-2 place now. I have 3 restaurants in my town that serve oxtails and I still will travel the 40 minutes every time for nyammins.

First time going here and I was not disappointed. I've had jerk chicken at other spots before but went with the oxtail this time and WOW! I came at a perfect time, as they just brought out a fresh batch. Oxtail with the rice/beans and the cabbage. The order comes with those two side unless you want plain white rice or the greens instead. Added the plantains and a side of Mac and cheese along with a mango moss drink. Oxtail was cooked near perfect, meat was tender, packed with flavor. A generous serving for the meal as well. Rice and beans were also nicely seasoned. She asked if I wanted the gravy from the Oxtail and of course I said yes and she put a few scoops over the rice. Highly recommend. The cabbage was pretty good too. Not overly tangy or spicy. Plantains were as good as any other spot. Enjoyed the Mac and cheese too and the mango moss drink. The drink wasn't as ponent with the mango with a hint of sweetness. Very refreshing.

Love the service, I had the Rasta pasta and a portion of chicken soup. The Christmas fruit cake really took me by surprise, it was extremely tasty

Honestly I am very impressed. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and the food is very flavorful. The beef patty could have used a smidge more filling but the crust was perfectly flakey. They live to their reputation. When I saw them at a 4.8 star, I can say they earned it.

Unexpectedly super clean and sanitary, with a very modern yet authentic old-school Jamaican ambience. Geovaughni is a consummate professional for such a young man. Very amiable without overdoing it. The food is 100% Jamaican flavor, and the portions are generous. I enjoyed the food, but the conversation with both Geo, his Mom and a quick hello to the crew made this an experience worth repeating. If you're on the fence about trying Jamaican food, or if you find yourself driving by, do yourself a favor and stop, get out and enjoy Jamaican hospitality in an oasis of its own making.

Best Jamaican food I've had in years and the staff was great!!

Being born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and now living in the states I can truly say when I get home sick or just want some authentic food from home this is my favorite place to eat the food is cooked to perfection, the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly, the restaurant is very well maintained and clean, the staff are Cordial and accommodating. I would definitely recommend the curry chicken and the fried chicken. However, if you are new to Jamaican Cuisine and you are feeling adventurous. You should definitely try the Curry goat, this restaurant does it right. Overall, I'd recommend this establishment to anyone who loves good tasting authentic food.

I Literally Just Left Nyammins Like 20 Minutes Ago, The Young Man That Took My Order Was Respectful, And Extremely Cute. I Said I'd Let Him Know If The Food Is Good & It Is! This Was My First Time Coming To Nyammins and The Place Is Clean, The Food Was Fresh and Each Item Has Its Own Flavor. I Got a Large Curry Chicken With Macaroni, White Rice, Cabbage and Corn Bread. I'm Not Even a Fan Of Macaroni But Theres Is Really Good!

Jamaican food was absolutely amazing. Yhr oxtail was tender and delicious. I am not a fan of collard greens but I must say their colorful greens were delicious. I will back there for sure when the area.

My husband and I decided to try out a new place for dinner today and it was the best decision! Customer service was amazing, they made my husband call me so they can go through all the options with me of what they have available. Food is delicious, especially the plantains and the portions are huge! Whatever they put in the Mac and cheese I’ve never had in a Mac and cheese before and it’s probably the best one I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place.

This place is the bomb. Tried the ox tail dish and the goat curry. Both were tender and extremely well flavored. Their homemade juice drinks are excellent. Try the pineapple ginger or the mango sea moss or carrot ginger homemade juice, drinks. The Jamaican version of an empanada was great, and so were the collatds. Mac & cheese was also homemade with big macaronis.

Best Jamaican restaurant in town. Healthy delicious food. Top shelf customer service, staff super polite and courteous. Keep up the excellent 👏 service.

Recently moved to Lakeland and I finally found the best Jamaican food in this area, I like to try everything and this place has not failed me yet, from the oxtails, curry goat, jerk chicken, akee and salt fish, PASTA is Fire, shrimp and Rasta pasta *cooked to order and worth the wait, yall the best manish water get the cornbread with it IYKYK, kids love the fried chicken, Mac and cheese and homemade beef patty(made fresh daily), my sides are the rice and peas cabbage or greens. The portions are plentiful and the price is right, if you like sea moss the mango and strawberry are my favorite and yes she makes dessert please try her red velvet cheese cake OMG sooo good ok so I saved the best for last the professional, friendly atmosphere, clean facility and good vibes as soon as you step in the door, I know I’m family when I come here, just all around good experience every time I come.

Looking for a place for lunch on the way to Orlando and this came up in the Google search. What an amazing find! The jerk chicken was the best I've ever had, mac & cheese delicious and callaloo was a real treat. Portions were more than enough for lunch and prices very reasonable.

Delicious! Wonderful experience. The fresh fish (red snapper) escovitch, veggies, rice and beans, greens, and patty (Jamaican empanada) were all excellent! Friendly and helpful service, too. Patient to answer questions about the traditional Jamaican preparation.

The food was delicious and fresh. I enjoyed the juices, pineapple ginger, and the strawberry seamoss was also refreshing.

Had a great meal at Nyammins Kitchen and Grill earlier today. We had ackee and saltfish and fired chicken meals, which were both very delicious. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait for my next visit.

I got jerk chicken with collard greens and mac n’ cheese, it was so delicious! Full of great flavor in every bite, and they definitely give you your moneys worth! I will for sure come back here again

I'm sorry, but I have not visited this location 3 weeks ago. I only went there when they first opened, months ago. If someone is using my card or name, please report them to the authorities. I would also like to know the actual date that the visit was done. This is very important to my privacy. This is the second location that has said I was at the restaurant and I have not been there.

I order from them weekly and the food is always consistent and very tasty. I also really appreciate the fact that they have a seal on their takeout containers for the delivery which tells me they care about their patrons. I've had their goat curry, chicken curry, stew chicken, and the jerk chicken and every item was delicious even down to the cornbread. it's definitely not a restaurant where you would be afraid to try something on their menu. It's hard to find a restaurant that can cook great food consistently but they have outdone themselves. Bless up

Food is fabulous. Wonderful folks that own/work/cook. Great experience every time. They always remember you. This time we ordered Jerk Pork (DELICIOUS!) & Curry Shrimp (my favorite). Sides were cabbage, rice and beans. And when they have them, their greens are scrumptious!

Being new to Lakeland, our family was in search of a good Jamaican restaurant, and we found it! The owners were so friendly and helpful. We ordered oxtails, curry goat and brown stewed chicken. Prices are a bit high, but worth it. You get huge portions and everything is so very flavorful! They were all out of mac & cheese and their beef patties, so those will be next. Their desserts and juices are also homemade and the pineapple ginger juice and red velvet cake is amazing!

Oh my gawwd did I locate the best Jamaican place. 🤤 I was looking for a new place to try and Nyammins did not disappoint! I’ve tried different places around central Florida but there’s no doubt this is by far my favorite! When you arrive you will be greeted by the sweetest of souls, Geovaughni. Since it was my first time there I went with his recommendation and he even gave me a sample to try before hand. He wanted to make sure I would enjoy every bit of my first meal with them. You can tell they put love into every bite and are passionate about their service. Everyone is so beautifully inviting, friendly, and it just feels like home. I enjoyed the curry goat with rice & beans, Mac n cheese, cornbread, plantains (not pictured), and the pineapple & ginger drink. There was more than enough to bring home too! The portions are definitely shareable, as everything pictured is there smallest size (medium/half portion on menu). There’s so much flavor in every bite! Do not pass on the cornbread either. Trust me you’ll probably want two! It’s slightly sweet and goes wonderfully with this dish. 10/10 recommend this amazing place! Stop in, share a plate with a loved one or keep for left overs for later on. I can’t wait to go back and try something new! 🤤 Also parking is around back at the light on Martin Luther King Jr Ave! I love trying new places to eat. When this place came across my google search for places to eat near me and I noticed I had never heard of it. I immediately went to google to check out their reviews. I agree with several of the reviews. Giovanni was absolutely the best to have had the pleasure to meet. I tried to call in my order and he suggested I come in to see what I might like. When I got there he was so pleasant and showed me all the food and even gave me a sample. The food is very flavorful and the portions are large. I tried the Goat curry and I dont eat bread but because everyone bragged on the cornbread I decided to get a piece. It was so good, it had a nice sweet flavor to it and not dry. The veggies on the side had nice crunch even considering that the food is already made. I cannot wait to go back and try the next dish :) Support Local!
