Would have given it a 0 but google wouldn't let me. Staff not friendly. Hostess only one that smiled and seated us. We felt like we were bothering them by walking in . No other staff acknowledged us and just ignored us. It still had over 2 hours before closing, so we weren't coming in late or anything. We were seated and given menus. My daughter said hello to one waitress and she ignored us and walked off. Sat at table for few minutes and were never greeted or asked about drinks or anything. We ended up leaving because we felt ignored and unwelcomed. We went down road to a different restaurant. Will never go back.

Overall the experience for our group was very good. Excellent value. Plenty of food portions. I had the chopped steak mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a roll. Kaye had the shrimp with Cole slaw, steak fries and hush puppies. Both were good and well cooked.

Food was good. Well the chicken livers were good and came out hot but fries were awful. Service was okay.

I had the spaghetti that was really watery. I will say it was much better reheated the next day. The sale was really good. The wait was kinda longer than I expected for just salad and spaghetti. The young guy that waited on me was really good. They do not have a salad bar.

The menu pictures are a little outdated. The lunch special is now $8 but was wonderful. Both my wife and I ordered chicken livers. They were so AMAZING! Fresh and made to order. They were hands down the best I've ever had. I had Fried okra and steak frys. Also cooked to order and came with a roll. My wife had the potato salad and carrot salad. Both were homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious 😋. The service was great. Although the restaurant is old. It was very clean. I plan on going back soon and taking my mother there. She will be so impressed. Oh, they no longer have a buffet at all. I live in Murfreesboro, but it's just a 30-minute drive for me and so well worth it.

Our waitress was super friendly and the food was okay.. but the prices were good, overall good value. The place has some history to it it has been there for a long time, very big and spacious, but somewhat dated.

My 4 stars are mostly due to the discontinued salad bar and blue cheese dressing. I had my heart set on their blue cheese but was informed they had stopped making the dressing! My husband said his meal was delicious. Their steak and shish kabob are wonderful!!! If you did not frequent Oaks when they had the salad bar or not a fan of blue cheese, then you will love it!!

Spent a night in Manchester to see the Paul Thorn Band at The Caverns and needed a place for supper before the show. This was the first time I had been to The Oak in about 30 years. I had forgotten how good it was. our server was friendly and attentive. The food was prepared to perfection. Oh my stars! The food was amazing and the prices were very reasonable too! I had a Greek salad and a 8oz sirloin with a baked potato and roll. The sirloin was cooked just the exact way I like it and tender. I didn't even need steak sauce! My husband had the shisk kabob and I had a bite of it and oh my!
