Great evening with Captain Randy. My kids keep talking about the trip.

I booked a tubing trip for myself and my two older children with the Pontoon Man on Viator. Randy was professional and courteous, and to our delight, he spent the next hour letting us catch as many waves as we could. He was so nice, and my kids (and I) had a blast on the tube. Thanks, Randy!

We had the best day with Captain Randy! He jam packed 5 fun events in four hours to make it a morning to remember! We will be back next year to do it again!

Captain Randy gave our group of 9 an unforgettable experience! We were able to experience all there is to offer boating the OBX Sound. We went to crab island, saw dolphins, went fishing, tubing and ended the trip pulling crab pots. Captain Randy emphasized safety and was so patient with the six kids we had on board. This is our second trip with OBX Pontoon Man and we wouldn’t choose to go with anyone else!

This was my family’s second year with Captain Randy. Is definitely the highlight of our trip! Whether its the hermit crabs on Pelican Island, spotting and cruising right next to dolphins (we especially loved seeing the babies), always getting fish on the line for us to reel in, fetching crabs from the pots, or his great personal stories about the area, sailing with Captain Randy is one of our family’s favorite experiences! Can not wait until next year’s trip!

The boat was in great shape and had everything we needed. He also made sure we knew some places to check out before we pushed off. We will absolutely book again when we go back out next year!

Had an excellent experience renting a pontoon on 6/28/24 from the pontoon man. He was ready to launch us before we arrived, provided a solid level of instructions and insight on the best places to go near by to have a great time. He let us know if we see the dolphin charter boat keep close if you want to see some dolphins, as luck would have it we found them and a pack 10 dolphins swimming close by. Made for a great trip. I’d come back to rent from the obx pontoon man every time we return to obx

Book the sunset cruise, you won't regret it! We saw so many dolphins, went to Manteo, through Priate's Cove Marina and topped it off with a perfect sunset. We saw other boats packed with people and we had a private boat with tons of space. 100% worth the price.

Captain Randy has a winning formula with the four hour tour. We had three teens to entertain and this trip hit multiple check boxes. Dolphins, eagles, osprey, pelicans, hermit crabs. Fishing and crabbing. Tubing. And a great orientation to the region with a waterside view of the islands.

Jaime Moore is the greatest. Wonderful airboat tour with a great combination of historical, natural, and cultural knowledge and stories. 100% recommended this adventure. Oh yeah, we saw about 20 dolphins!

DON’T GPS ADDRESS! Captan Randy is a regular guy who has a couple of boats he rents out. The pontoon we rented was in decent shape and functional. He made us a deal for 2 hours and we took it.

Captain Randy is a super nice guy. Easy to book. Boat was in great shape, Brand new cushions and canopy. We just wanted to spend a few hours out on the water so we just rented the boat, but he does tours too!

We rented a pontoon trip for our family. Randy was knowlegeable and a great captain. We enjoyed talking to him and the trip was beautiful. Highly recommend it!! Thank you Randy for a great night!!

It was an absolute thrill to spend half a day out on the Sound as well as in the marshland waterways. Very peaceful and tranquil. We would definitely do this again!

Our family will definitely recommend, and be using Randy’s services for all our vacations! When the rain moved in Randy was more than helpful with accommodating us. He was very responsive, and answered all our questions.

Cheapest boat rental in OBX. The boats are old as hell but they work. It was $400 for four hours. The back in the drivers seat was broke but you could still sit. The floor was really worn and the seats were ripped. Ugliest boat I’ve seen, but we had a great time and the boat worked just fine.

We booked for a tubing ride for the family. Randy gave us a great time. We met up and he took us to a great spot within the Sound and we all took turns getting on the tubing. He's go fast or slow, depending on what we asked for. He was awesome.

Randy was fantastic! He truly enjoys what he does and it shows! We had a group of 7 and 2 of those were kids and he was amazing with them!!! Highly recommend. We have been coming to the OBX for almost 8 years and this was AMAZING! Thanks again Randy!

My family and I rented a pontoon boat on 8-9-23. The whole experience was incredible! Randy couldn't be more helpful the weather was great and the family loved it!! I highly recommend OBX pontoon!

Randy was excellent to deal with and very accommodating as we needed to change our original booking date. His rates are excellent compared to others. Only negative and reason not a 5-star is that the captains seat back was broken and therefore a bit uncomfortable. He indicated that this will be repaired for next season.

We had a wonderful time renting Pontoonman's boat. He was punctual, helpful with instructions, got us going quickly, and gave us some excellent pointers on where to go, Would definitely recommend to a friend or fellow traveler!

We had an 11 person group (7 adults and 4 kids). We all agreed this was the highlight of our trip to OBX. Captain Randy was amazing with the kids. If I could give more stars, I would. We did it all - dolphin tour, explore a private island, fishing, crabbing and tubing. Great family adventure!

Captain Randy is fantastic! 2nd year we’ve gone with him. He’s great with families and the kids too! Very knowledgeable of the waters and area, keeps everyone entertained. Fish, crab, dolphin watch, tube, hermit crab island, we did it all yesterday comfortably with 7 (4 adults & 3 kids) and we kept the crab too! Highly Recommend!

Amazing sunset cruise. Saw lots of dolphins!

We had a great day out on the water with our family of five. We booked the four hour tour for one of the kids’ birthdays and it was a huge hit! The kids (11, 14, 16) got to fish, saw a dolphin or two, explored tons of hermit crabs and little fish on an island, saw a zillion water birds of all types, and helped with the crabs from the pots. Then they went tubing! We took about 25 crabs home to steam. Captain Randy showed us a good time and kept us safe. It’s worth it!

It was a pleasure using the Poonton Man in OBX. It was the highlight of our trip and was a perfect experience. We cruised around, caught a couple crabs and were even able to stop off at a small little beach for my kids. All had a blast. I highly recommend his business.

We have taken the half day tour with Captain Randy the last four years. It is always the highlight of our week on the OBX.

Great experience. Our group had ages 5 up to 65 and all enjoyed the trip, which included dolphins right next to our boat, exploring Pelican Island, fishing, and catching several dozen crabs. It was a bit pricey for our group of 11 but it was well worth it. Would recommend!

My family and I took a 2 hour trip with Captain Randy today, Memorial Day 2022, and we had a great time. We saw dolphins, 2 of my kids caught a few fish and we caught some crabs. He provided a lot of information about local activities and was super knowledgeable. We plan to book again when in OBX. You should too.

We booked Randy for a bachelorette trip and it was the best time! Randy was super flexible (as the weather forecast was constantly changing) and he was super knowledgeable about the area, we felt like we got 3 tours in 1! Had a gorgeous day. So cool for the kids to see hermit crabs in the wild. Got some nice driftwood as a souvenir, and around a dozen crabs. Mr Randy was very nice and friendly. No masks required!!!

Had a wonderful time on Randy's pontoon boat. We had his son Skyler join us as a guide and it was a ton of fun exploring the sound and Oregon Inlet. We saw hermit crabs, we fished, we swam, we saw dolphins and my daughters and nieces and nephew had a blast. We will be back next year.

It was an excellent experience from crabbing to fishing to tubing and we got very close to dolphins and he was generous enough to let us keep the crabs to cook and eat

Loved our trip. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We went to an island to see the hermit crabs, toured the shorelines, tuned, and went crabbing. Can’t beat the price and the experience!!

Had 3hrs with 7 kids, all of which had a blast. We were able to go tubing, find hermit crabs, catch some fish, and get some crabs!
