Food was so good it didn’t make it home I had the Asian blazin salmon and the smothered wings it was all so fresh and hot looked so beautiful and I can’t wait to come back for more forgot to take pictures and I tried every side available everything was worth it I felt extremely comforted and loved leaving after eating here

Spectacular food and great friendly atmosphere. Got it to go but I ended up staying to finish. Everything was amazing food was hot and fresh!

I finally got to try Ola's Southern Cuisine 2 after hearing so much about it on Instagram, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious—10 out of 10. The Chi Chi wings were fried to perfection, exactly how I love my wings—crispy and full of flavor. The sauce was simply amazing. And the Mac & Cheese? The bomb! I enjoyed it so much that I ordered two servings and even took some to go. The atmosphere and friendly customer service really sealed the deal, leaving a lasting impression. I'm so glad I stopped by, and I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in Knoxville.

Words can not begin to describe how incredible this place was to discover. The owner is a wonderful person, very nice and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything was made to order, with each meal and sides well seasoned, and they make sure you will get your fill with more than generous servings. I cannot wait to go back again, the cornbread is a must try.

Man I tell you!!!! We just left from there and couldn’t wait to get home to eat this food. It’s hands down amazing. Flavorful and fresh. Great chief for sure and amazing service. Yall better go try them out. It’s worth every penny. I never had oxtails before but when I tasted it, it was worth the wait. But this salmon is everything.

Since moving to Knoxville, this is one of my go to places. Love the food and the atmosphere.

REAL Southern food. Gravy with DEPTH not just salt! FRIED OAKRA WITH FLAVORRRR!!! GREENS were PERFECT. Haven't stopped craving MORE!! Husband and I came here for anniversary meal and didn't realize what we have been missing out on. Great food made by very nice, sweet family! GET ONE OF EVERYTHING!!

Food was amazing!! The crunch and seasoning on the catfish was perfection!!! The mac n cheese and yams were definitely hittin!! Oh and I can't forget the cornbread and angel egg. Everything was so delicious! We got there close to closing and the chef still accommodated our order and the food was definitely still made with the same love as if it was made right at opening. If you haven't had Olas yet you are missing out!!

Great soul food, great people, great service, and a chill atmosphere. They also had their 100 perfect food and health inspector score proudly displayed in the front which I can respect. Very underrated and hidden spot that is a must-stop for anyone passing thru or even for locals that haven't discovered it yet.

This is one of Knoxville's little hidden treasures. The food is legit. The portions are huge. Prices reasonable. I'll definitely be back. The weekend menu also looks awesome.

This was such an AMAZING EXPERIENCE for my birthday! Everything and I do mean everything was great, from the atmosphere, service, conversations and food. The story behind this place is beautiful and I am thankful to have ran across Ola's Southern Cuisine....I know she looking at you all from the Heavens and is so proud. Blessings to you all.

Please close down, because that's the worse food ever in life!!! To think that my son drove 2 hours plus to get that nasty food, is so sad... We would NEVER EVER PATRONIZE Ola's Nasty Cuisine Again!!

Coming from Charlotte, this is the BEST spot for Southern food in Knoxville!! Amazing food! Chef has great energy! We coming back at least every other month

If you love good food. Great fried chicken and a tasty waffle. This place does it for you. They were so popular this week, we didn't get to try some of their specials due to demand, but my friend and I have already made plans to come back when they have additional stock. The atmosphere was nice, and felt like it was two steps away from being a dance party. It was a great vibe with the throwback music playing. They were kind and welcoming. It was like meeting cool neighbors you didn't realize you had. I highly recommend for the food alone. Everything else was icing!

I just left ola’s today and they food is so amazing and everything was seasoned perfectly and nothing over seasoned and I love everything about Ola’s they customer service was everything and also nice relaxing music very clean I had the best experience ever if you never had Ola’s you need to run not walk best food in Knoxville😊❤️

Boom! Bam! 💥 I'm mad that I JUST found out about this little soul food restaurant. Best greens on the planet, tasty fried wings, loved the mac and cheese, sweet cornbread, yams (like soufflé)! It will be a regular spot for me and my friends. I'm scared to tell y'all about this joint!

This business was hired to cater a graduation party over the weekend and they did a piss poor job. They over cooked out catfish I thought it was chicken tenders, puréed our sweet potatoes, cooked out greens in vinegar. To add to a dissatisfying experience they tried to gaslight us & downplay our experience. Now I haven’t visited the location but as far as catering goes maybe you should just stick to in person dining.

Excellent food, Better than Excellent services. Our food was outstanding. We played connect four while we waited for our food for great atmosphere. So good we are going back on the weekend to try of few of their weekend specials. I also LOVE they are local, and family owned.

Amazing food, people and experience. I’ve gone back over 5 times since my first try and never disappointed. Dining here wasn’t just eating, it was an amazing experience. From the Red Capet walk to the karaoke. This is a top tier place to eat with great vibes, owners and food.

Food looked great but tasted terrible. Very bland and certain things were either overcooked or undercooked, no consistency whatsoever. Won’t be back and would not recommend.

Outrageous!!! The graduation catered food that was picked up from this establishment was unacceptable and inedible due to the quality and visible presentation! The customer service is lacking in every way concerning this business owner who has shown herself to embellish a lie when a significant amount of money was spent to support her business, but this treatment by her unwilling to rectify her error and reduced herself to lying and name calling instead. DO NOT EAT HERE, THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE JUST LIKE THE OWNER!

I love food and can find the good in anything. Unfortunately, I cannot say I was completely satisfied with the food catered for my baby cousin’s graduation party. She was so excited to have food catered for us so we didn’t have to do anything but enjoy our time together. Our family is full of amazing cooks and we honestly could have each made a dish for a better experience. To add insult to injury, my family has communicated their issues with the restaurant yet have been told that they were not being truthful about our experience.

They catered my daughters college Graduation dinner this pass weekend 5/17/2024 and it was HORRIBLE. Fish looked like chicken tenders, fried chicken was dry, greens taste as if someone poured a carton of salt, we asked for yams but got the soup version and the Mac/ cheese was burnt and dry. The person that picked it up for our family didn't looked at it before she left just assume it was alright and tipped $80. We couldn't make it right because it was to late and the damage was already done. Why have you reached out to someone that didn't pay you? You should be contacting me. Contact me you have my information. GEEZ. No Recommendations from our Family.😡🤬. Why are you lying? My daughter posted the invoice. What will be the reason for me to lie about your business Why did you contact the UT Basketball player and his Mother if you had not done business with me. I have the IG posts from your correspondence. Your customer service explains why your Food was Horrible. The issue is the quality of your food not the discounts and how you made accommodations for our family because of a UT Basketball player and his Mother.We didn't ask for your discounts nor your accommodations. We wanted the same quality of food that you cater to UT Knoxville.

I attended my cousin's graduation this past weekend 5/17/24. My cousin chose Ola's Southern cuisine to cater. The food experience was not what I expected for southern cuisine. The greens lack flavor, the Mac & cheese was dry and overcooked, the chicken was subpar & the yams were pureed. The restaurant came as a recommendation from a fellow student at UT Knox and friend of our family.... The invoice my family paid ($600+) was in lieu of any discounts given because of the recommendation...but appears that the discounts extended to the quality of food as well. Sadly this was my first and last food experience with this restaurant.

Finally able to try this food and it was fan-freakin-tastic. Smothered Chicken with yams and potato wedges and then the fried catfish and potato wedges. Excellent flavor and crispness on the fish and potatoes. The gravy on the chicken was phenomenal and the yams tasted like pumpkin pie. Highly recommend, but food is made to order, so hang out and listen to soul music while waiting for your soul food!

The best catfish I've had in years. My companion about licked their plate clean. Great tunes playing. Very friendly staff. The food is made to order, so expect to wait for it. Well worth the wait. If you are ANYWHERE nearby, make the time to go eat here. A special thank you to Chef Blaac. That man is making his family proud with his cookin'. His friendliness and welcoming demeanor can't be beat. Yes, we will be eating here more.

This is a one of a kind place and experience. You come here to have your socks knocked off!! Family owned all black folk, nicest people I’ve ever met. There homemade butter they use on the seas food is to die for. I like dipping my sweet cornbread in it as it gives the perfect bite. Highly recommend you get the cornbread on the side! It’s the shrimp for me!! Only 22$ you get a whole plate of food. Most of the time I eye it and I think I’m not gonna finish this all, and I do because it’s that Dang Goood!!!!

Traveled from kingsport to try this venue based on word of mouth. My family was not disappointed. It's a small venue but the staff greeted and treated us warmly which made us feel right at home. The best part was the food.....outstanding! We tried everything from the fried chicken wings, fried lobster tail, seafood boil, shrimp and grits, to the best sides( mac and cheese, collard greens) I've had in a long time at a restaurant. The chef even brought us some samples of food we didn't order to try. I usually don't offer reviews but if you want great food at a reasonable cost you want to give this revue a try. Well worth the 80 mile trip and we will be back.

This place.......THIS PLACE!!! I live an hour and a half away and drive from my home to get some phenomenal home cooking. I haven't had a single bad thing off this menu yet. Everything is so flavourful and I've even tried things I wouldn't normally eat and have been wowed everytime. The owners are so engaging and friendly. If they have a minute they will talk to you and even offer suggestions and bring a little sample of items. If I lived closer I'd eat there regularly. You won't be disappointed eating here. Friday nights they have parties and it's a great time of music, people, and food.

I can't believe we haven't tried Ola's Southern Cuisine2 before now. Don't let the location and minimal signage fool you, this little place has BIG FLAVOR!

Delicious food. Grits and shrimp, catfish and fried okra are beyond good. The yams are divine. Presentation and taste rock!!

The food was amaaaaaazzzziiinggg. The fried chicken wing were seasoned to perfection. The shrimp and grits wasn't funny like other places and the shrimp was cooked just right. The plate presentation was cool too. I looked up black owned places in TikTok and it led me right to Ola's. That app saved my appetite and my day because box chain restaurants was not the move while on vacation.

Food was amazing! Fried chicken was the best! Definitely will be back when visiting Knoxville.

Found Ola's Southern Cuisine while searching Google map for something else in the area. Don't remember what I was looking for but doesn't matter, because whatever it was pales in comparison to Ola's. Love Charleston style shrimp & grits--Ola's were phenomenal! Both slightly spicy ?blackened? shrimp & creamy lightly cheddared grits were equal stars of dish-- each would be stand-alone delicious. Together, they complemented perfectly. For dessert, red velvet waffle, with a light sweet sauce that didn't compete & allowed the red velvet to shine, was delightful & plenty for two. Meal was wonderful surprise ending to a hot July summer day! Looking forward to more meals from this South Knoxville jewel-- phyllis m

Really great soul food, made by folks who are into it and care deeply. Very well-seasoned, and the fried foods were light, crispy, and not oily. We loved it, and will be coming back for more!

Me and my partner were on vacation from New York, got hungry and seen this restaurant. Best food we had out here in Knoxville. As soon as you walk in you instantly get treated like family , it was such an heart warming experience. You can taste the experience with every bite. It was made with so much love and intention. The flavors were on point , chi chi wings were recommended and they did not disappoint. Never had fried okra before and the bar is set so high after getting that and the mac and cheese on the side. The fried lobster was delicious, cornbread, and angel egg … you simply can’t go wrong eating here. We will definitely come back next time we pass through Knoxville, and looking forward to seeing our picture on the wall. Thank you for a wonderful experience. 🙌

Food is packed with that good soulful flavor. It would be hard to reccomend a change to anything. I had the Smotherly Love with okra and greens. The chicken was tender, rice was fluffy and the gravy was rich. Very nice inside, good vibes and jazz/R&b playing, real easy listening. Everyone was super nice, wait for food was around 10ish minutes maybe? It was perfect. Great experience!!

Olas is the place to be for great southern soul food. Excellent fried catfish. The corn bread is amazing. The jerk wings are on point. They are doing mac’n’cheese the right way. If you are in the area you HAVE to come here. The food and Chef are top notch. You will not be disappointed.

Sometimes when you walk into a place for the first time you just know you picked a winner! My wife and I have been traveling the country and are always looking for new local spots to try, this place did not disappoint. We walked in and it felt like we walked into our own family's home (although after leaving we do feel like family). We both ordered the catfish with mac & cheese, okra, and cornbread. Everything was made to order and was delicious! Chef let us try the Smotherly Love Chicken, a recipe he learned from his grandma. All I can say is wow!! OMG!!! My husband and I was going there for dinner Thursday and they were closing in 15 minutes. We didn't give up we returned on Friday. Baaaaby when I say, why didn't someone share this Gem with me before now. I ordered the Red Velvet waffle, but they had an event and sold out. Buuuttt, Chef Blac and his amazing wife made me the best waffle I have EVER tasted in my life...Banana Pudding!! And them Chi-Chi wings are CHI-CHI-AMAZING. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Go check them out you want be disappointed

Love love LOVE Ola's!! The best shrimp and grits east of Charleston. The smotherly love chicken is amazing, and don't even get me started on the fried okra!!! Chef Blaac and Uganda are precious and make you feel like family. Food is my love language, and I always feel it at Ola's!!!
