My daughter found this little gem, and I'm glad she did! Only a 5 mile drive from my house. Marana doesn't have many places to brag about, so this place is a blessing to our town. The first time I went, I didn't know what to expect. I thought it was going to be a smaller than it is, it's not the usual large winery that you'll find in California, or even in Sonoita, in our beautiful state of AZ., it perfectly sized for Marana! The grounds are beautiful, unfortunately, its too hot to sit outside in the summer, (not their fault, they can't control our weather) its super nice from fall through the end of spring. The grounds are beautiful, and in their own way have a romantic southwest atmosphere. It can also be the perfect setting for a proposal, girls get together, adult birthday 'pre-gathering' spot, and just a place to grab a relaxing glass of wine with a friend if you only have an hour to meet. We haven't met the owners, but the manager (Alessia) is very friendly, and nice and the staff is very knowledgeable!! We recently met the newest member of their team Linda, a beautiful young lady with lots of travel experience and an amazing knowledge of wines that you would not expect from someone so young. She is bubbly, and a great conversationalist! Never had a bad experience there. Now, you should know, that the Charcuterie boards are boxed, but they are a good size, it's not Italy folks, and they are optional, they are not included in the price of the wine tasting. So don't let that throw you or put you off. Their wines are unfiltered, and don't have the added nitrates and preservatives that cause allergies or "flushing" maybe only a certain age of woman know what I'm talking about! : ) I love a great glass of RED wine that doesn't cause flushing. Everyone points to me and says "you look like a violet, Violet"! It's not fun at that point, which is why I love Old Pueblo Cellars because their wines are natural, nitrate and sulfite-free!. Go and enjoy some great wine with great friends and if you're looking for a wine club to join, they have that available for you also, at a very reasonable price!!!!! I let all "out of towner's" know about OPC, because it is so random and a great atmosphere to sit back, relax and enjoy. Also, inevitably you will strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger because the wine tastings include other fun individuals just like you!!! Every time we go, we meet a stranger that leaves as a friend!!!

On a blistering Tucson summer day, we decided to explore a local winery in Tucson. Keith made reservations, with the owner, for the 2pm tasting. The owner, Roger, welcomed us at the entrance and told us we could "go right in." Once we got to the tasting room however, we were told we had to wait outside until the noon tasting was finished, despite 6 open bar seats. We are finally allowed in to the tasting room, but need to queue up because they have to take the payment. They have one payment processing machine. The female hostess informed us that we'd be sitting outside. It's 107F with 68% humidity. It's not comfortable outside submerged in a pool. We should have been told that we were going to be seated outside upon making the reservation. We had 2 gals tell us we could have their reservation because they were cancelling, and the hostess didn't budge. We're outside. We left. I saw Roger on the way out and told him, as he was the one who took the call. There's no way to pay online, choose your seats. There's no mention that you may be seated outside. I don't mind being outside when its my choice (and not summer). The hostess was rude. The process is chaos. It's an absolute debacle. They need to get it together. If I wanted to sit outside and drink wine, I'd have stayed home. We'll never return.

This is a great little winery just north of Tucson. The vineyards are very nice and the location is beautiful. They’ve set it up very nicely. The wine tasting was fun and informative with our hostess. The wines themselves were very good and I certainly enjoyed the peach slushy! 👍😎

What a great experience for north side of Tucson!! A little hidden gem! Stop in for a glass of wine and buy a bottle or two of amazing wine! Or make a reservation for wine tasting ($18 per person) and hang out with the fabulous Alessia! So much knowledge and great personality that just made the entire time a delight! Met some great people that came from all over AZ to try the wine (I was the only one local!) and it did not dissapoint! Everybody bought some bottles to home to enjoy (can I mention how neat the bottle decor is?! ). After the tasting my friend and we enjoyed a glass of the Super Tucson and walked around the vineyard and found a little spot to sit in shade to chat. Can’t wait to go back. And I hope Alexis’s is there when we do. Had such a great time with her!

I went on Thursday for the first time. I waited a few days to see if I would not be as bothered but I still am. The ambience is really nice. However, the woman working at the bar basically insulting me. I mentioned I was moving out of the area and when I told her where, she spent several moments telling me I was moving to a horrible place. A little while later, she was going to start in again but I told her to stop. Even if I wasn’t leaving the area, I wouldn’t go back. I don’t need to pay to be insulted To answer Roger’s question about how was the wine, it was fine/good. I understand you can’t control conversations but I still can’t see myself going back based on the employee

A beautiful cool oasis in the desert! I was among a group of 5 ladies that attended a wine tasting at Old Pueblo Cellars a few days ago. What a treat! The tasting was wonderful and I have to say that even though I found a couple of favorites, I really liked every single wine that we sampled. Our hostess Alessia was very knowledgeable, a great teacher and we really enjoyed her sense of humor! It was such a relaxing and fun vibe. I can't stop raving about it to all my friends and family. What a great little winery inside and out! The grounds are beautiful with the grape vines beside. The inside is quaint and neatly decorated. We enjoyed our group wine tasting and learning about the wines. Our favorites were the Malbec and Tempranillo. Alessia did a fantastic job and was a hoot! She and her husband were so easy to visit with prior to our tasting and other peoples arrival. We will definitely be back when we are in Marana! Check this winery out if you haven’t been, it’s a gem!

A must try if you’re in the Tucson area!

Very kind people, the vineyard is small but beautiful with a good scenery of the grapes and the desert landscape! The staff I interacted with was very kind and open to telling me the history of the place along with any questions I had. I picked up a bottle of their Tempranillo wine for $41 including tax. ($39 w/o taxes) The wine tastes amazing, with a lot of very distinct profiles. The wine can't be held on to age, as it has no added sulfates in it and must be stored in a cool place like the fridge for up to a year. I highly recommend to book a tasting before making a purchase of any bottle, as these bottles are not cheap per say. I would definitely visit and buy again. (There is an 'airbnb' house that is available to be booked as well, it's behind the vines with nice dedicated walkways.) Thanks!

Set in a surprisingly charming location, this winery is a true gem that defies expectations. The ambiance is serene, the surroundings are pristine, and the entire establishment is exceptionally well-maintained. The staff, without exception, is not only friendly but also delightfully entertaining. During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner – a genuinely nice and humble individual with a fantastic sense of humor. Their authenticity adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. The winery operates seven days a week, offering three tastings daily at 12 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM. Reservations are a must, but the effort is well worth it. For just $15, you can indulge in a delightful tasting of five exceptional wines. We were so impressed that we couldn't resist taking two bottles home, and we're already planning our return. If you find yourself in the area and have a penchant for wineries, this is the place to be. Make your reservation today – you won't want to miss out.

We happened upon this place on a recent visit to Tucson. I have to say that the grounds and the overall atmosphere are absolutely beautiful! Our favorite wine was the Tempranilla. However, the reason I was not able to give the place 5 stars was due to the behavior of the host. Everything seemed to be going well and we were enjoying a nice time away from our hectic, day-to-day lives until the host found out I am a teacher. She then started commenting on how bad teachers are as she referenced various tik-tok videos that were clearly taken out of context. When I tried to turn away from her and ignore her, she turned to the couple sitting next to us and started to rant even more loudly to the point where I was no longer able to carry on my conversation with my husband. What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable time turned into massive discomfort. Everyone has a right to their political beliefs and ideas, but there are times when it is inappropriate to force others to listen to them. This actually happened 3 weeks ago, and I wasn't going to leave a review, but after speaking with a few people who encouraged me to speak my mind, I decided to do so. I just don't want anyone else's good time to be affected by this rude behavior. In my previous version, I guess it was not clear that when I am referring to the host, I'm referring the lady who served the wine and explained the wine making process. She works there.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience! We ended up here after other plans in the Tuscan area fell through and we googled “wineries near us”. I called, and the man on the phone, Roger, was very helpful and said that normal tastings were 12, 2 and 4 I believe. It is the summer, and the off season here, so he told us to head on over (we would get there at 3:30) and they would help us out! The facility is beautiful and obviously time was spent landscaping and on the interior design. My mom and I were the only 2 people there at that time, and the bartender (or sommelier) was more than personable! Alessia (I believe her name was) was super chatty and really made us feel welcome. She could have poured our wine and kept to herself, but she really took time to talk with us and provide a fantastic experience! We did their wine tasting, brought a bottle home, and my mom bought earrings that they had for sale! We live about 2 hours away, but would definitely recommend stopping in here if you are in the area!

My Fiance and I found this gem randomly and we're so glad we did! Just a short drive into the countryside of Tucson and you'll find yourself in the most beautiful, private feeling vineyard around. The grounds are absolutely stunning, there's a on-site house you can rent to get a full experience of living at a vinyard (how cool!), and there's plenty of parking as well. They do accept walk ins but it's best to make an appointment. Our Sommelier was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine tasting was outstanding! We loved learning about the wines and Roger's story about how this vineyard came to be. If you're in Tucson, be sure to add this stop to your list. You won't regret it!
