Absolutely amazing food. Our group all got different dishes and every one was well loved. I got the kallaya with Lebanese ice tea and it was some of the best food I've had. Best falafels and grape leaves I've ever had too (as someone who doesn't like them). Portions are VERY generous and the prices are very reasonable. Owner was super friendly and attentive, has a good sense of humor and made sure to check in to see everything was ok. The restaurant is away from the main tourist areas so it was quiet and relaxed, but still close enough to walk to if you're in any of the nearby hotels. If I was a local, I would've become a regular.

I decided to check this place out because the reviews were so good. Unfortunately, I was majorly disappointed. The rice and chicken kabob were incredibly dry. It was a total letdown.

We arrived and were so hungry but wanted to light lunch- found Olive and were so pleased with the options. The chicken shawarma was delicious and the tabouli and hummus with feta was amazing!! The seasoning and flavors were unique and memorable. The service was great and our server was very attentive and joyful. He made us feel welcome and at home. The Lebanese tea was also outstanding. Definitely a place to where we will return.

I would highly recommend this place. Service is lightning-fast, and the food is delicious. We tried Falafel( from fresh dough and not the frozen ones), cucumber yogurt, Zatar bread ( a must-try), and red lentil soup. All the food was very tasty.

I will never eat salad the same way again. 😊

I’m really surprised at the quality of the food this visit. The pita bread turned into hard cardboard once we brought our carry out back to the hotel. Probably will not go back.

A wonderful little cafe with absolutely perfect Mediterranean dishes. This is a great counterpoint to a lot of the unhealthy food in New Orleans. It tastes wonderful and is quite good for you.

Stopped here for a quick lunch, and it did not disappoint! Atmosphere is modern, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious! I got the Sauteed Veggie Sandwich, and my husband got the Gyro Sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Also, the Lebanese Tea was delicious and refreshing.

Olive was amazing food and great service. Hani was an excellent host who was only surpassed by the delicious food.

Not only was the food so delicious, the service was exceptional. The owner served us, sat with us and generously provided us with sample tasting. Of all the meals we had in NOLA in a 5 day period, this restaurant was the best. I only wish we found it on day 1, rather than our last day of our trip. Eat at Olive! If you are in New Orleans, eating here is highly recommended. Just out of the hustle and bustle but barely a 1km walk from Bourbon Street. Delicious clean food and freshly prepared. Nice service. When you stand outside, you cannot imagine how delicious the food here is. I say go for it!

Snagged dinner with family. The chicken shawarma was delicious! Someone had the lamb burger and said it was delicious. Service was top notch. Highly recommend.

The food came out quickly and was great. I had the red lentil soup and the shakshouka. Both dishes were very tasty. My daughter had the lamb chops and the babaghanous. We enjoyed the food.

Best Med Style food in a long while.

Great Lebneh and other healthy Mediterranean dishes. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing and they would only do take out. It is a very casual place, but the food was good.

Kabob meat can be a gamble, but it's excellent here. I had the chicken and lamb. Everyone else's meals were very good too. Great service and very reasonable prices. Best meal so far. Glad we came.

Well I was hoping my visit would not show up on my timeline as I would feel obliged to leave a review....and it's my first negative review ever. Upon entering I asked if the owner/chef was Lebanese as they advertise themselves as that kind of restaurant...after getting an evasive reply I asked if the shoarma can be as original as possible and not some bland American version...no reply either and after asking if it can be prepared with as much garlic as possible the shocking reply was " we don't make garlic here". Ordered the food anyway...well the root beer tasted like bleach for which I can (and will..I am fair) blame the local water supply.... Then the shoarma/shawarma (whichever version you please ) arrived it was expected..bland bland bland.. the pita bread was good...the salad that came on the plate was well seasoned...don't care for hummus so dont know and the meat was just meat....no sauce offered or served either..... Hate to say it but the Rabbit food on the plate was the best tasting part. Service was weird after my initial questions he offered to change the fountain drink after tasting the bleach taste so need to give him that..... Atmosphere could be decent with more people (or are they not there because of the food??) So disappointing as after a 14hr drive I wanted a nice little surprise, but this was a dud squared.

I visited on a weekday evening and lucked up on a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and chose one of the booths. Service started out good but was nonexistent once more customers came. We started with the Lebanese tea. Ehh, it was okay but we’ve had better. I ordered the Half and Half Shawarma with chicken and gyro, hummus and a greek salad. It was pretty good and had some interesting flavors. The other guest had the lamb chops which were so tiny. Also the accompanying rice was dry. I’m glad I had the chance to try Olive but the tiny lamb chops and less than stellar service was a turnoff.

What a great place. We ordered the fried cheese and the family schwarma. Wow. Everything was beyond great! Can not tell you how good this place is.

My coworker picked this location and she couldn't have chosen better. We split the Legna which was fantastic. I had the Shakshuka and it was phenomenal. Also, the prices were fantastic. New Orleans is crawling with inflated prices but Olive bucked that trend. Excellent food, generous quantities, all at affordable prices. Definitely give this place a try!

Palestine Food is great, falafel on point!

The lamb sandwich was one of the best meals I had while in NOLA. I will come back for it every time. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very warm, and the owner is one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet. I wish I would’ve come here earlier in my trip. You don’t want to miss having a meal here while you’re in NOLA.

Found this place randomly while visiting from out of town, and omg I’m so happy I did! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the service we received from Rafat was 10/10. He was the only one serving, cashing everyone out, AND bussing tables and did it all with a smile. Not once did he rush us or look stressed out. We got a beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, hummus, and fattoush salad and seriously 10/10. Oh, and I’m middle eastern so I’m a tough critic. The hospitality…the food…I will definitely go back next time I’m in NOLA! THANK YOU RAFAT!!!!

I went there because I am quite fond of Lebanese cuisine, with a special penchant for lamb. Their was even too good, without that typical strong flavour, and very tender. Lebanese tea was excellent, in my opinion. Service was quick and attentive

I am all up for not overeating, but when I order a platter I do expect to have a little more than this. The vegetarian platter contains two, yes two, falafel balls. Maybe three tablespoons of tabouleh, two flatbreads and a whole lot of hummus that fills most of the plate. Voor $13 this is not enough. I felt a bit tricked to be honest, and the food was not exceptional.

This was my first visit to Olive Restaurant on Carondelet Street. When I first walked in I was a bit nervous about the crowd and finding a spot to sit. This was unfounded as these guys really work quickly. With very friendly service they took my order and seated me. I see why they are so busy. The Shawarma and Gyros were delicious and with the salad and pita I could barely eat it all. This is a great Mediterranean restaurant.

The food was excellent. I enjoyed the hummus, salad, chicken, and kafta kabob. The quality of the food, reasonable prices, and awesome service were impressive, especially given how busy they were. My only complaint is that the place needs a good cleaning—sticky tables and floors are a pet peeve of mine.

Have had Lebanese food in Lebanon and almost all over the world. This small eatry serves , one the best tasting Lebanese food, with friendly staff. Choices are limited. Otherwise, i would rate it very high.

My friends and I ate here based on the high reviews and Olive did not disappoint. We had decided on two apps, hummus, and halloumi - both were perfect. The lamb kabob was tender and perfectly cooked, the hummus (which is also a side with many meals) was smooth, one friend had the veggie platter, the other had the two meat platter, and we shared to try as much as possible. We followed everything with dessert and Turkish coffee. The total came in around $90 - well worth it. I will return.

Hard to say which dish was my favorite. Kallaya was so flavorful and the hummus so smooth. We came early dinner Sunday and the vibe was mellow and easy.

We went on a Tuesday early evening so it was slow. Food came quickly and was delicious. I loved the stuffed grape leaves, the hummus was perfect and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. The server was funny and joked with my kiddos. Would definitely come back here again.

Olive is a total gem! Of course there is delicious food all over NOLA, but if you're in the mood for Mediterranean, this is your spot!! I usually like to try lots of different things on the menu, but once I had the gyro plate that's all I ordered the next three times I went there of the course of two weeks! The owners and staff are friendly, atmosphere is great, and if I didn't already make it clear, the food is AMAZING!!

We ate dinner here during Jazz Fest and loved it. It was busy but the food arrived fast and fresh. Our favorites were the lamb chops and the hummus with lamb and beef. We also liked the fried cheese and the salad dressing in the salad. The prices are reasonable considering the inflation going on.

I really enjoyed this place! It was a long day of walking in the sun. I had the falafel plates with hummus with rice. I loved the iced tea!!! My husband had the gyro and rice. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures. This place was nice to get away from the French Quarter without being far. I recommend it!

Exceptional Palestinian restaurant in the heart of New Orleans. If you’re looking for a break from Cajun and friend food, this is it. The hummus, baba ganoush, and lubne were some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The kids had the chicken kebab plate and it was a hit. The owner is so kind and welcoming.

Great food at a good price, big portions. It was fairly quiet but we went at 4pm. We had the gyro plays. Hummus is amazing! I would recommend.

This is the best Mediterranean food I've had. Coming from California, I often eat top rated Mediterranean food and Olive truly set a new standard. Every dish we had was more flavorful and tasty than expected. I'd highly recommend this.

After eating many heavy meals, we were excited to find a restaurant offering some lighter fare. We walked 25 minutes from our hotel only to find a handwritten note on the door saying they were closed for a holiday. I fully support a business closing for a personal holiday, but this should be relayed to the customer. Nowhere on their website did they say they would be closed this specific day. This is very poor customer service

Outstanding Mediterranean food. Schwarma gyro meat is super fresh, chicken meat flavorful, rice is delicious, pita bread fresh, tahini perfect, hummus outstanding. I appreciate how hard they work here. Thank you for not taking bad shortcuts. Been to many Mediterranean places where the gyro meat is old and chewy, the rice flavorless, the pita bread from a box, even had rotten tahini once. Not here!

The hummus is to die for! Honestly. Never had such silky smooth, delicious hummus! Will definitely be going back!
