From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm and attentive service, my server was Angel, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every piece of sushi was crafted with precision and care, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each course felt like a journey through different tastes and textures. The chef’s expertise truly shone through every dish, making it a memorable culinary experience. I had OMA and my husband had OMAKAI deluxe. The ambiance was also fantastic—calm, cozy, and with a refined simplicity that allowed the focus to remain on the food. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate meal.

I’m very late with my review but firstly Joselyne C was amazing! I felt like I was her friend that she invited to try new food, she was very knowledgeable and she made us feel so at home and excited to come back. As for the food, drinks and the atmosphere 10 10 10! I enjoyed it, my mom who joined me loved it and we’ll be back. Oh and dessert!!!! A wonderful experience each time. The happy hour is such a steal - with sashimi, nigiri, and hand rolls priced between $5-$6. All of the fish is extremely fresh, and each bite melts in your mouth.

I love this little transitional sushi restaurant. Astrid took great care of me during my solo lunch. I didn’t have to wait for any courses and she paced my lunch well. Definitely running it back!!!

The ambiance of the restaurant and the service were fine. However, as someone with extensive experience in various types of raw seafood, I was quite surprised by the meal. The main issue was that the sushi was made with long-grain white rice instead of traditional sticky sushi rice, causing it to fall apart when dipped into soy sauce. Also, most of the sashimi and sushi were pre-pickled in ponzu or soy sauce, making it difficult to appreciate the natural flavor of the fish.

Miurell provided outstanding service and made the whole dining experience amazing with her kindness and professionalism. She went above and beyond to explain every single serving from the 15 course chef’s choice experience.

Omakai is one of a kind! Here in Miami, we are swamped with many options for sushi but none compare to this restaurant. Our server Angel provided us an experience. My husband and I were there to celebrate my birthday and he made sure to show us a great time. The quality of fish makes each carefully curated dish stand out. Thank you Angel and Omakai for a memorable birthday dinner!

This is not good sushi, it is not Japanese. Fish had no taste which indicate farm fish, tasted slimy, fish was not cut in straight lines which indicates being by a less than sharp not sushi knife which effects taste. Fish cut too thick with organ marmalade on top of some of it which turns into a full orange into the mouth which I have never ever experienced in any sushi place anywhere. Overall was a terrible experience and we had to stop the food after a few pieces, pay and leave.

Lovely experience - high quality for the reasonable price. Angel my main server was super kind and welcoming as were the rest of the staff. Nice that it is slightly past the main heavy foot traffic bit bc it is a nice peaceful oasis.

Let's talk about our server, Joselyne. She was absolutely amazing. When she mentioned that it was only her 3rd day on the job, we were blown away. Her professionalism and knowledge were truly impressive. And the food? All I can say is OMG. You absolutely have to experience it for yourself.

We sometimes ordered delivery and this was second time to dine in the restaurant. It’s been a long time since our last visit so we were a bit anxious about the food quality but it went beyond our expectations! We enjoyed so much! We loved blue crab rolls and salmon belly a lot🍣

I visited OMAKAI on Valentine’s Day which as we all know is a chaotic day for restaurants and may not always result in the best experience. This wasn’t the case! There was a preset Omakase menu for the day, the courses were perfectly timed between entrees and the service was exceptional. I made no prior reservations and the team worked well to accommodate me without interfering with anyone else’s reservations. I was shocked at the reasonable price. Dining in Miami you will find Omakase style dining can come with a large price and add Valentine’s Day to the mix and you’re doubled in price. Omakai kept their price humble and this only enhanced my experience and exceeded my expectations. I will certainly be back.

One of the top sushi places I’ve had. Also it was my first time having wagyu tarar and it was so delicious! My boyfriend took me here as a surprise because he knows how much i love sushi even though he’s not a big fan. The waiter was kind enough to make him feel comfortable and offer him some alternatives.

First visit to any Omakai location. It felt inviting from the moment I crossed the threshold and my eyes connected Troy and his staff. I was promptly seated with my party at the VIP table near the back. We were offered a complimentary sample of a new sake varietal, it was very pleasing to my palette. Francisco our server greeted us warningly and gave us a great over view of the offerings. The dishes were amazing and the customer service felt Michi. Please check it out and ask for Troy.
