We enjoyed a fantastic meal with great service. Good time had by all.

I'll be brief, the food and presentation were spectacular, with large portions and magical taste combinations on every plate. The service was friendly, informative, helpful and non-intrusive. The drinks and bartender service were GREAT! The atmosphere of happy diners and the theatre of the open kitchen made this a wonderful, delicious dining experience. The quality of the food and service were superb!!! I'm just sorry that I live 5 hours away and only visit when on vacation...next year, I may eat there every night of the week....the food is that good!!! And it was great talking with Matt after dinner about his world-class restaurant.

Absolutely phenomenal meal at One Coastal. The menu reads beautifully and delivers in taste even better. Farm to table uses seasonal ingredients to fit and flare around perfectly cooked proteins. I actually went to post this back in early spring when my drink included “toasted parking lot rosemary”-because yes they grow herbs on their parking lot. We went back last week and had an amazing heirloom tomato gazpacho, excellent salad using local peaches, a succulent flank steak with amazing sauces, a cacio e Pepe that was better than Italy’s l, their signature Berkshire Porkchop and a cornmeal crusted catfish with beautiful accompaniment Desserts were equally uniques and well balanced The menu is fairly small so if you have a picky eater maybe leave them home.

Wonderful little restaurant with a five star award winning chef. The drinks and menu changes regularly but they never disappoint. The pepper pasta can be done as an appetizer and it's a trip to heaven!

Very cool dining experience being able to see the chefs make your food not too far away. As a person who usually goes for a more casual meal, this place felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant. Everything tasted so good and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in the United States, hands down

Food and drink were simply fabulous. Service was kind, but disappointing; it did not match the quality of the chef's and bar tender's fine preparations. We appreciated the intimate dining room, but not the terrible ventilation system. By the end of our meal we were both hot and felt like there was a lack of oxygen or fresh air. As much as we enjoyed experiencing Chef's creations, we will not return to this venue.

We dine out frequently and my expectations were high from a JB finalist. Loved the crab/asparagus appetizer. The catfish entree was good but the rice was plain. Loved the white bean ragout/fennel salad with the Tuna entree but I thought that the tuna slices were cut a bit thick. Service was okay. I had to catch my server's eye each time we needed something.

Probably the best restaurant in Delaware, because it's one of the best restaurants anywhere. Truly committed to local food and the farm to table experience. Worth the trip from anywhere. Highly recommend the tuna crudo and bread service.

Enjoyed a spectacular dining experience at One Coastal last night. Not only was my ahi tuna beautifully presented, but the preparation was amazing! We always enjoyed Matt Kern’s meals at Heirloom in Lewes, where his Culinary Institute of America knowledge was so apparent; so now are delighted to see his expertise at his own restaurant. Likewise the service was impeccable.

Wow, I can’t help but think this is the best dining experience in Delaware. Matt has taken a dream and made it happen, the food and whole dining experience is incredible, Ryan behind the bar is unmatched. Selfishly, I shouldn’t say this because now everybody will start flooding in, but kudos to what Matt created! BTW , Matt’s Wife is pretty incredible too!

The chef is highly rated and makes awesome meals. A little small inside but that keeps quality high, in my opinion.

Stellar dining experience with One Coastal. Probably the best "team service" we've ever experience at a restaurant. They had two servers plus a bartender on staff that night, and everyone came and went from our table with the perfect touch of service. Food was perfection. We did the cheese board, tuna crudo, caccio e pepe (MUST TRY THIS), and the pork (also amazing). The carrot cake desert was out of this world too. It was our anniversary and were treated to a champagne toast, which is a nice surprise. They even decanted the wine! 10/10 must-go. Worth making the trip to the beach just for this restaurant. Congrats to Matt as well on the 2024 James Beard finalist nod.

I had such a great experience here! I sat by myself at the bar, and bartender Billy went above and beyond. He gave me time, made great recommendations, and provided an amazing 2+ hour experience where I got to enjoy the food and conversation with those around me. Owners Karen and Chef Matt both provided an ample amount of time talking with their patrons, and Matt provided some excellent suggestions of other local restaurants for me to try since I am big on quality food. I had the fluke crudo with salsa matcha, grapefruit, mint, etc. I am not a grapefruit fan but the flavor profile of all these ingredients had me devouring and thoroughly enjoying every bite. I followed the crudo with the pork chop. Holy. Stinkin. Moly. WOWWWWW! I loved everything about this…and I rarely eat pork. Again Billy made great recommendations! I will definitely be returning!

Great food, great drinks, great prices.

The food was delicious. We had the rolls with honey butter, salad, steak with small potatoes, and pasta. Had the dessert pie with lemon and wine. The pie was good but the crust was hard and did not seem home made. Service was very good. Thought the prices for the meals were expensive. The salad and rolls were extra and were not included with the meal.

What an amazing meal. Steak as well as Pork Chop dish were out of this world. Loved Ryan bed the bar. Will be back soon!

Phenomenal. From start to finish. Matt and his team are true artists. Absolutely incredible.

The potato and leek soup was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. Poured table side, into an exquisitely garnished bowl, the presentation was second only to the flavor. The pork chop - to die for.

The food is fabulous, farm-to-table, local ingredients highlighted, innovative cooking , great staff. BUT, and this is a big but. After going multiple times:the kitchen is beyond inadequately ventilated, as in you come home stinking like you've been standing over the stoves for hours yourself. Have to strip down shower and wash every stitch of clothing. Twice had to take coats to dry cleaner. It's no fun dressing up to go out and coming home smelling like a short order cook. I really wish they would fix this.

Looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading awarded Best Regional Chef! The cocktails and desserts look good, and Im not into sweets...more the savory... THANK YOU !!! Glad to read you dont allow dogs inside the restaurant! I am allergic to dogs. To read someone ask for a boycott because he cant go a few hours without his pet is spiteful and nasty. As a person who is allergic to dogs Im sick of seeing them in hotels and restaurants...Dogs were not created to be lead around like children. Unless a person is alone or blind there is no such thing as a service animal!!! Scott, Did you even stop to think of the liability you put on the restaurant if your snappy dog bites someone?

My wife and I had a great dinner here which included friendly service and delicious fare.

Food was very good but took a very long time to make for a party of 4. Drinks were very good.

3 out of 4 entries were cold. Scallops,Steak and Duck COLD. The scallops plate was half empty. Took forever to get the food. VERY disappointed for $200.00 plus tip and we don't drink

What a amazing meal from start to finish. Everything just tasted like the season (fall). Desserts were killer! Service and atmosphere were perfect for our date night. We are looking forward to going back again soon.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant for the first time last month. We eat out a lot and look for variety, fresh ingredients, fantastic presentation and preparation (good service is nice too!). This restaurant has all of those. The menu contains items not typical at other restaurants in town which is great. Craft apps, mains and drinks at a reasonable price. You can tell that team (from top to bottom) really cares about their passion. The food was prepared well and the combination of items was splendid. As a foodie that was raised by professional chefs and good cooks, my only suggestion is to cut back on salt. A little salt is fine. But my meal, while awesome, was borderline inedible due to high salt. My guest's meal was fine.

This little spot in Fenwick is to die for! The food, drinks, and service was fantastic! My husband and I are thrilled to have a new dinner spot. We got the beef tartare, scallops, pork chop, and chocolate pumpkin dessert!

Phenomenal. Foodie heaven. When they took the time to discuss each menu item, you knew it was going to be good. They didn't disappoint. From the crafted cocktails to the interplay of complex flavors of Dinner to the varied textures of dessert, it was amazing. The manager, waiter, bartender, chef to sous chef/pastry chef each played a part in our masterpiece dinner. Even the less daring among our group who had pepper and cheese pasta was amazed by its simple complexity. My new favorite restaurant and well priced as well. BRAVO

All I can say is WOW. Everything is extraordinary. From the cocktails, appetizers main course and dessert. Out of this world. We will be regulars.

Somehow missed this gem for years! Their food is spectacular, no other way to say it. The tartare was one of the best I've ever had. The drink menu is very fun/different and I think between our family we tried every single one! All were great and unique. It might be a little pricey (compared to local eats) but it is VERY worth it.

The food was some of the best I've had, certainly in the area. Expensive but outstanding.

Congratulations to Matt & Karen Kerns of One Coastal restaurant! We had dinner there last night and it was by far the most delicious meal we have had this season! The flavors were magical in your mouth! The service was so pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. The cocktails were creative and refreshing! We certainly appreciate your craft and look forward to supporting One Coastal!

The food is AMAZING!! Every employee is friendly and amazing at their particular job. It is on the pricey side, BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! I had the Shrimp and Polenta, it was the BEST Polenta I have ever tasted. My bf had the Pork Chop entree.. honestly 2 people could have shared it. The pork chop was huge. The presentation of all dishes was beautiful. The chef should be very proud of himself and the dishes he serves.

The food was out of this world, absolutely mind blowing. Shrimp and grits is on so many menus but don’t skip this one if it’s around while you’re there. The sweetest, freshest shrimp I’ve had probably ever. The polenta cake was crispy on the outside but smooth, rich and almost fluffy on the inside. Apps were perfect too, local ocean city tuna so soft and fresh I could have cried. I cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful meal. Started with a Smokey Old Fashioned. Good but a little too sweet. Chicken liver pate for an appetiser. Very tasty. Could have fed an army. Followed by Aged Flank Steak. Perfectly cooked medium rare. Loved the potatoes latkes. Ended with a beautiful Corn pavlova. The kitchen was open and we were able to discuss our meal with the chef. Loved that. Unfortunately the room was very full and very noisy but did not detract from a wonderful meal. Go and enjoy.

Hands down the most well prepared food in the DE/MD beach area. High high quality ingredients- scallops and tuna both excellent. Tuna crudo in the top dishes I have ever had. Scallops sweet and the size of sand dollars.

This is an amazing restaurant ! Every aspect of the dining experience was superb. The chef is obviously passionate about food & using local ingredients. Don’t miss a chance to try this!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I have been to Little Inn of Washington and other high end restaurants and the food at One Coastal stands with them.

Hard to find a better restaurant in the area. My wife and I really do a lot of traveling and love to experience good quality restaurants. One coastal is certainly one of our favorites (not just locally). Every time we're in the area we make a point to stop. The staff here is incredible. They make what is already amazing food, even better. Highly recommend for your beach date night.

Wonderful restaurant. Food and service were great! Highly recommend the maple butter rolls. Only thing that I’d recommend to make this place better is to carry bottled still and sparkling water.

This restaurant is wonderful. The food, service and ambience are all great. I always have the field greens salad, which is unique and fabulous. Last night we had the tuna and flounder entrees, and they were delicious. I hope we can continue to get in! When a place is hopping on a Thursday night in April in Fenwick, as One Coastal was last night, it’s only going to get more popular!

Very cozy restaurant with delicious food. You do need reservations so book ahead. If you don't you might get lucky and can sit outside. The food is delicious I especially loved the fresh seafood. The tuna crudo was delicious as well as the cacio and pepe. Overall you can't go wrong going here.

My husband and I appreciate that the menu this year is still outstanding but much more approachable. It was hard to choose as everything looked incredibly appealing. We ended up sharing a beet salad which was large and outstanding. My husband said the tuna was maybe the best he had ever had. My shrimp was delicious…but oh the polenta and sauce ! Amazing. Have already made reservations to return!

An absolutely incredible experience! Every single thing we tasted was delicious, perfectly executed, and delivered with passion. The flavors popped, the ingredients were fresh, and the platings were inventive! My wife and I were so grateful that we found this hidden gem among the myriad of beach town options. If you're fortunate enough to live locally, we are envious of your opportunity to enjoy One Coastal on a regular basis. For those of us from out of town, it's One place that you do NOT want to miss out on!

Went for my birthday dinner on a recommendation. I must say, this place exceeded expectations. We had local tuna, beef tartare, New Jersey scallops, and the flank steak with some cocktails. Everything was exceptionally delicious, presented well, served in a timely manor, and served well by the staff. Restaurant had a great vibe, very clean, and staffed well with polite and happy people. We will be returning. Thank you!

Welcoming little upscale restaurant with open kitchen, efficient service, and local, seasonal dishes. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to try some of the perfectly cooked fish and imaginative vegetable sides. Enjoy top notch food in a casual atmosphere.

I can’t say enough good things. The food and service could not have been better. Ryan, Bill, and Jess took amazing care of us. Every dish we tried from the innovative farm to table menu was outstanding. Will absolutely be back.

We came here for my 30th birthday and we couldn’t have been more impressed! We’re from Middlesex so it was barely a 7 minute drive from South Bethany. I’m so, so glad we found One Coastal. The manager/host was incredibly lovely and brought us complimentary champagne when she knew it was a birthday. (I feel just awful I can’t remember her name). Amber our waitress was wonderful. We got the flank steak and cacio e pepe and both were amazing. The gin cocktail was incredible and we ended our meal with espresso martinis that were perfect. The food, staff and vibe was perfect and We cannot Wait to come back with our family! Was lovely to feel special on my birthday. So nice to have such a gem nearby!!!

This is the best restaurant in Delaware. The personal touches to the menu, the drinks, and the atmosphere really show through. I felt like family and will return to enjoy more local, foraged and farmed fare. Do not miss this gem!

Ryan and Jess were a delight! Highly recommend the chicken and biscuits ... It's not what you think. Delicious pate, mustard, apple butter on fresh warm biscuits. Just thinking about it is making me think about going back. Love their local, sustainable, thoughtful and delicious menu.
