Located pretty much on the corner of Route 1 and Duval Street, this place is in a great location. About a 7-10 minute walk to the waterfront area and other popular bars, this area is relatively quiet at night. From the moment you walk into the front office, you can tell this place is well managed. Everything is clean, neat, and well-appointed. Every staff member we met always daid hello and was smiling. The building is a typical 50s motor lodge layout, with the pool in the center and the rooms surrounding it, making almost every room pool side. The rooms aren't as big as one would find in a quality hotel, but enough space to feel comfortable. Our room was pristine. Everything appeared to be in like new condition and very clean. Quality soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotion were in pump bottles, at the sink, and in the shower. Also, in the room is a full-size ironing board, a large safe, kureig coffee machine, and refrigerator. The continental breakfast is one of the best I've seen. Bagels, breads, English muffins, Danish, muffins, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit salad, as well as fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and a variety of juices. I'm sure I'm missing something, so much food! The on-site martini bar is small, with maybe 6 stools at a curved bar. It seems to be a popular place, as it is packed with people every evening. We did get drinks one day while lounging poolside. They were definitely worth the price. We will definitely return here if we travel back to Key West again. It's the little things that make this place great. White tablecloths on the outdoor tables for breakfast, putting candles on all the poolside tables as dusk, and the staff. Plenty of staff, always willing to answer a question or help if they can.

Seriously, 5 star all around! The staff is super friendly, and helpful in every way. Honestly, if most hotels Inns and Resorts could treat people the way they do here, vacationing would always be amazing! We booked this place on a chance from what we saw online. I'm so happy we decided to come here. Adults only, quiet and quaint. If I have to find a negative, it would only be that since we are right off Duvall street, you may hear an occasional car drive down the side street. But that is also one of the positive attributes. Think about it, you are basically right on Duval Street and it's quiet! They have a bar on location right off the pole and hot tub. The drinks are perfect! They have a happy hour, and a continental breakfast included. Don't have a second thought about this place, book it!

My wife and I absolutely love this hotel. Rooms are extremely clean. Staff is wonderful. Continental breakfast is surprisingly decent. The pool is very nice and well kept. The location is great, being on Duval at the beginning of the 1,000 block, with plenty of food and drink options being within a block or two.

Last minute trip, during spring break and GM Trudy took the time to find a room and accommodate our dates. Upon arrival, front desk was prompt and so very friendly. Check in was easy and while the quick walk to the room we enjoyed the amazing and clean property. Onsite pool bar was clean and staff, Rose and Chris were personable and very interactive. Great drink SELECTION. Kat, at the front desk assisted us with booking a golf cart and had it delivered directly to property, so we didn't have to take the time from our vacation in doing it. Morning breakfasts with Janae and Tina was a great way to start the day. Best continental breakfast on the island, hands down- what a selection. The pool vibe with great music and the adult only property was a really great bonus. This Inn had a resort VIBE in the heart of KW. Happy hour drink specials and small bites was a great way to begin our nightly adventures. Right on Duval, so easy access everywhere- but set back so quiet enough to forget that you are right on Duval. Really a GEM. thank you to the entire staff for making my 50th a special vacation.

The people at Orchid Key Inn are simply the best and do everything possible to ensure you have a great stay. We just returned from our 2nd visit at Orchid Key Inn and they haven't missed a beat. Reception, (Kat and Rodolpho) were so kind and treated us so well. Jana in the quaint restaurant is wonderful and thoughtful. Alex in the bar is a hoot. The rooms are immaculate and location if perfect. Wonderful time again and we can't wait to return soon.

Love it! Just returned from our five day stay. I am used to larger resorts and was hesitant because it's small in comparison. It's perfect. It is absolutely spotless and the staff work tirelessly to clean the facility and to ensure the guest are happy. The pool and the bar were perfect. The location Cannot be beat! A short walk to everything you need. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go again!

We were so impressed with this lovely hotel- beautiful grounds, rooms and tucked back a bit from Duval Street (which I loved!) A long overdue vacation- so happy we chose OKI!

Kat worked at the front desk...and she is awesome. We asked for recommendations for places to eat based on our dietary restrictions and she was on point with all. Additionally, she and all the other staff members we encountered were super nice and courteous. They made our stay at the Inn very pleasant. We would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

We just stayed the last week here. I absolutely 100% recommend this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and kept very clean. The staff is beyond amazing. Alex and Chris and Trudy along with everyone else were so darn nice. It’s a small property and they care about their guests. Trudy even went to hunt for my air pods that I lost. Customer service is top notch. We will definitely stay here when we return to Key West.

One of my favorite places to stay in Key West. The Orchid Key Inn is super convenient, right at the middle of Duval Street. The rooms and pool are kept immaculate. The staff is extra friendly and accommodating. This small hotel really exceeded all of our expectations.

Loved it! If you want a smaller more intimate hotel, this is it. Rooms are remodeled and great. Bar at night and the continental breakfast was as good as I've had any where else. And nothing personal parents, this is adults only. Highly recommend.

We just stayed here last week for my birthday and I wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else! We absolutely loved everything about this quaint hotel! All 3 bartenders were our favorite part! Kris, Neil and Alex were fun and told about local spots to go see! Thank you yo everyone!

Stayed at the almond tree and wanted to stay 1 more night. So they had a room at the Orchid tree, so we came b here for a night. Stayed here for 4 years ago. And as before, it is the best place to be in the keys.

My wife & I stayed 3 nights recently. The room was impeccably prepared and maintained. The staff was quite attentive, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed that the property is adults only and enjoyed much quiet time around the pool.

Awesome place to stay right off Duval

We just spent our honeymoon here! I honestly can’t say enough about how special our visit was! We walked into our room with a note and bottle of champagne from staff! That was such an amazing touch! Office staff, morning breakfast staff, bartenders, cleaning staff all were amazing! This whole inn was the cleanest place I have ever stayed! Room was cleaned daily with fresh clean towels. I never had to ask for anything! Pool and hot tub was perfect! We will definitely be back to stay here! I love this place. Thank you for making our honeymoon the best experience!!!!

The lady that so carefully set it up each day was delightful. Very warm and friendly. Adorable bar on site with delicious drink specials. Peter, Neil and Rose were great bartenders! Definitely will stay here again next visit to the Keys.

My husband and I just stayed at the Orchid Key Inn for three nights for our anniversary. This Inn is absolutely wonderful, very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. It is conveniently located on Duval Street and close walking distance to everything in town. We rented bikes and rode around town most of our stay. Peter at the front desk was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this location for your Key West vacation.

This Review is about the bar only- While walking around key west we saw this gorgeous looking place (the Inn) and saw they were offering a drink that had haberno in it. The bartender was super friendly (the guy in the pic) and made some delicious drinks! If is it any indication of the quality of the hotel id say the guests are in good hands!

For us this place is TOP PICK because we traveled without our kids for our 4 year anniversary. SO for us it was peeeeerfect staying here with no kids, no kids in the rooms, no kids in the pool. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite that has all the care packages you need. Microwave, fridge, robes, tv, pillows (more than 4). Room was super cozy and nice. THE STAFF here are just freakin wonderful! Everyone here was helpful, friendly, nice, and funny. They hooked us up with good brunch spots as well as snorkeling areas around the island. Room was always cleaned first thing in the morning so we always came back to fresh and clean bed and bath. Orchid was perfect on location too! Right off of Duval so we could walk just about anywhere within minutes for food and drinks and shows. It was quiet! Best part was you feel like you have your own private area and getaway from the island itself! The pool was perfect for relaxing and hanging out with other guest. The bar was crazy stocked with all kinds of drink options and the breakfast bar was PERFECT. Cannot say enough about Orchid Key we will definitely be back multiple times to stay here!

Orchid Key is a HIDDEN GEM! My husband and I just spent a long weekend at the Inn and absolutely loved everything about our stay. The room, grounds, pool and Orchid Bar were sparkling clean and beautifully appointed. What you see in the photos in the gallery is what you get. The coffee is piping hot before 7AM and the complementary buffet breakfast is absolutely the best we've ever enjoyed. Huge bowls of fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, waffles all served with a smile. Even though the Inn is located on two main roads it is very quiet in the room, bar and pool area. It's very conveniently near everything! If your thinking about booking a room, do it! You won't be disappointed. Plus, you can't beat the friendly staff. These folks really get it and are so accommodating. We will return!

I love, love, love it here. First time stay and it was great. Carey and the other hotel staff were the best. Each worked very hard throughout the day making sure everything was perfect. The rooms were surprisingly beautiful. We had a spa suite…clean, well designed and in a great location. My room was spotless, the service was exceptional. The free breakfast was excellent with a fine choice of items to suit everyone’s desires. The design of the pool area was done in fine detail. Everything is at your fingertips, from the bar, to the parking lot with Duval Street only steps away. They even booked my glass bottom tour boat ride for me. Opel Key is the place to stay folks. I wish I could of met the owner and let him know. Everyone from the front desk, to the bar service was top notch. Only bad thing I will note is the 20/dollar day parking fee. I will not take away a star and still give Opel Key a 5 star rating. Thank you so much for making this a special vacation. See you next year.

My wife & I spent 3 nights at Orchid Key and couldn't have been happier with our stay. All of the staff were genuinely nice- not just professionally cordial. They really seemed to want to connect with the guests. The location is awesome- everything was an easy walk or bike ride away(they have on site bike rentals). You could bike to Zachary Taylor Park(less than 10 minutes) for a great sunset without the crowds. The continental breakfast is very good. The pool is a nice and a great place to spend happy hour taking a break from running around Key West before going back out again. The room we were in was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. One thing we heard was to try to book one of the rooms that surround to pool(they are quieter than the rooms closer to Duval St). We will definitely return to Orchid Key and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

The Orchid Key in is a charming oasis in the heart of key west - great location (right on Duval street, easy walk to restaurants, nightlife, etc). The staff were fantastic, helpful, friendly. It was like I was staying at my best friends hotel. We had a great room, like new (a King Deluxe). Really cool little bar by the pool.

Really enjoyed staying at Orchid Key Inn. Very clean, pretty quiet and well taken care-of. The staff was very friendly and courteous. As a matter of fact, every single staff person we encountered was super nice and helpful, from the front desk person, to the bartender to housekeeping. Continental breakfast was perfect and the morning coffee was great. The location is really perfect, away from the overly busy part of Duval but still within walking distance. Great restaurants were very close as well. A bit expensive but what isn't in Key West? We had an absolutely great time and would not hesitate to return to Key West in general and Orchid Key in particular.

This place is a little slice of heaven. Located at the intersection of Duval and Truman, the Orchid Key Inn could not be in a more convenient location to enjoy Key West’s “Old Town”. And yet, despite sitting in one of the busiest sections of town, the pool area and adjoining bar remain a serene oasis. Every employee at this hotel, from the general manager to the pool bartenders to the room staff, goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. My wife and I returned home from the Orchid Key Inn yesterday, and are already dreaming of a return trip to enjoy another Gin & Juice under the palm trees swaying in the sun.

Orchid inn staff were amazing, the manager, the bartender, the breakfast host and the cleaning staff, all very friendly and accommodating! The place was very modern and clean, the bar was a great place to hang out. The breakfast was more than enough... Would definitely go back there to stay!

My wife and I have stayed here twice. We love it, it has a small pool and bar, it's very close to several great restaurants. It's right between Duval St and Whitehead St so you don't need a car for anything on the main strip. The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly.

Very nice and quiet area with a great location to many things to do nearby. A bit pricy for the amenities, however there were nice amenities. I would go back. It's very beautiful outside at night. Still gets 5 stars from me.

So where do I start! This place is top notch! Planned a surprise 40th birthday with friends down in the keys and needed some help with planning. Peter was amazing! He’s the absolute best! He facilitated our dinner pool side for our friends and was always so attentive. Had a ball with Alex and Chris at the bar and the pool and rooms were clean and perfect! Thank you Peter and crew for making our trip a memorable one! We will definitely be back to stay real soon!!

We had a fantastic visit! We've been considering staying here for a few years and now we're sad we waited so long. Kat was very welcoming and her attention to detail was incredible. She was always super friendly! The room was great and the entire facility was well kept and clean. The location cannot be beat. Even though it's right on Duvall, the grounds and rooms are surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The bar tender was great and even made us our first fresh fruit key lime colada! We're ready to book our next stay!

My wife and I were looking for a nice spot to get away for a long weekend over Memorial Day and landed on Key West. Looking at recent reviews of some large (and expensive properties) down there, I found that many did not have great recent reviews. Then I came upon Orchid Key and its amazing reviews, so we decided to book it. This was a GREAT decision. The staff was super friendly, the amenities top notch, and the location was unbeatable to every place you could want to eat, drink or go to. Chris was an amazing bartender at the small bar attached to the property, mixing up great drinks to drink by the quiet poolside. My wife and I got our fair share of relaxation along with fun adventuring throughout Key West. They were even kind enough to give us a super late check out time (for a small fee) since our flight wasn't leaving until the evening. I would love to go back any time and appreciate the hospitality!

Small old-Florida style motel renovated to an amazing boutique motel. Luxurious bed & bath, attentive & super friendly staff, beautifully landscaped and maintained pool area, free continental breakfast, great bar with happy hour. What's not to love!

Wonderful place! Perfect for our getaway. We simply adored everyone working there. The bar and pool were perfect. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast during covid times. Our room was stylish and comfy. We especially enjoyed the lush tropical beauty all over. We will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Location was perfect and our room was the larger sized one with a separate living room. Place was clean and very comfortable. Check in was so easy and we felt very comfortable with the whole process and were given a warm welcome. Poolside is great, good amount of shade cover and sunny areas of you want to tan. The bar is next door to the pool and it's well stocked and the bartender is AMAZING. I'm horrible with names but he makes a delicious dark and stormy and has a great personality. He had me laughing and joking with him instantly. The night manager on the 23rd was also a great guy. Made sure we had everything we needed. We only had one night at this hotel but next time I'm in Key West I will book here again!

Quite Possibly the cleanest, and the most quaint motel we have ever stayed in. The Staff are professionals and always were there to greet you with a smile. The impeccable cleanliness and upkeep was present everywhere; the grounds, the rooms, the bar, the pool; everything and everywhere was clean and kept to the highest standards. The location is the most central you can get with everything you would want or need in Key West within a 20 minute walk. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and have plenty of space for a Couple. This will be a repeat for certain.

If you are looking for night life and a bunch to do within walking distance, this is a great place to stay. It’s a short walk to quite a few amazing restaurants and about a 5 minute walk to a great place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Honestly, staying here and renting scooters is definitely the way to go. This will allow you to have freedom to get to any part of the island. The staff was amazing and they do offer yogurt, bagels and fruit for breakfast. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. One of my favorite things is that the floor was not carpet. Not sure if that’s how it is everywhere in the keys but I really liked that. Just don’t forget to shut your blinds since all the rooms are on street level and have a great view of the pool or the street. Highly recommend!

We recently had a group of 8 stay at the Orchid Inn. Four couples, they positioned our rooms right next to each other which was great for meeting up. This place is the perfect location if you want to stay on Duval Street. It has a secluded feel while enjoying the sun by the pool. The continental breakfast was perfect for a light, healthy meal. The wine was great and we enjoyed free with our overwhelming amount of vouchers. The rooms are smaller but perfect for two. The king size beds are perfect! You just melt into bed and fall right to sleep. Pillows are super comfy too. The shower was probably the best part of the room itself. Spacious, clean and plenty of towels! Maid service daily during our 3 night stay. Water provided while by the pool. The customer service was amazing and five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Highly recommend and will be back to stay again.

Great spot in the heart of Key West. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Cool courtyard with pool and hot tub. It can get a little noisy at night due to the proximity to Duval St. It never bothered me falling asleep, though.

Great rooms, super awesome staff, and basic but good poolside breakfast. Visited during Thanksgiving and had a great time. Did not spend much time at the pool but many other guests did. The hotel is in a supreme location. We ended up walking to all our destinations and enjoyed exploring the surrounding neighborhoods. Would return!

Key Lime Pie martini is absolutely a treat for senses. The rim of the glass is crushed sweet Graham crumbs and the contents were delicious. Desert in a glass. Also they give you the "bonus" left in the shaker. Reasonably following Covid guidelines still which is reassuring. Pool was in private courtyard and parking spaces reasonsbly sized. Convenient to downtown.

Second time staying here and would stay no where else on the island. Perfect location! Right on the main drag. Step off of the property and you are right in the middle of the nightlife. Or if you plan to relax and recover. You can hang by the pool and not even know It was going on out there. Staff is top notch. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a really good time. Clean and cool. Situated off popular Duvall street with good food close by. Pool and bar were great. Breakfast was offered. Peter at the front desk was super helpful and knows the island well. He had some great recommendations. Only drawback is that it is inland a bit, but even that makes for a quiet setting. We did lots of walking to get to the beach either direction.
