We went with a party of 6 for hibachi. Our reservation was at 7:00 and by 7:45 we were done and walking out the door. Not a great experience and all the food was super bland, except for black pepper which they used heavily on everything- fried rice, veggies, chicken and scallops. It was the worst hibachi we have ever experienced. The positives are the place was nice, and the chef had a couple new tricks we hadn’t seen before. The food was so flavorless though, and it felt extremely rushed. The server was removing our plates as we were still eating and had food on them. One and done for us.

My four children have been coming here together as a sibling outing for a few years now and they love it! My husband and I came with them for the first time last week and we all enjoyed ourselves. The dressing on the "salad" is very tasty but it's really just lettuce. I wish they would add some cucumbers and tomatoes to it. The fried rice, noodles, sushi, soup, edamame, chicken, and crab rangoon were all good. They waiter could have been more attentive as we were constantly running out of water. All in all a good experience.

Had dinner here tonight for the first time. There was a longer wait to even start our order to begin with and almost gave up and walked out. I’m glad we didn’t!! After our server finally came to our table, we ordered an app along with a pepper tuna roll, BMW roll, and an Alaskan King Crab roll. Not only did it come out super fast, it’s hands down the best sushi we’ve ever had, and we eat a lot of sushi. HIGHLY recommend the pepper tuna roll! We ended up ordering another round of it. My only complaint is not being greeted sooner (sushi sides wasn’t nearly as busy as the hamachi side) and not having drink refills a couple of times. Overall, very happy with our date night and will be back!

Sushi dinner said it was 9 pieces of sushi. Didn't know this meant it was 3 pieces of tuna, 3 of salmon, 3 of some sort of whitefish. While it didn't specifically say "9 DIFFERENT pieces of sushi" I felt like that was deceptive advertising. Overall pretty bland and all tasted the same. Edamame came out after the rest of our food despite being an appetizer.

I’m thrilled to have found another sushi pick up spot! This restaurant is located in a super convenient spot. Has a vast variety of foods to choose from! I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of sushi to choose from!! My favorite that I have tried to date is the rock n’ roll and Beauty Roll!! Delicious! Highly recommend stopping in and trying this restaurant out!!

Tofu is soggy / gummy. Maybe the worst I’ve ever had which is an incredible accompaniment. No veggies in the fried rice. The salad dressing was bad. Wish it was just a ginger dressing instead or litterally anything else. This was just a mayo salad. The yum sauce just wasn’t good. We initially wernt even going to get the ginger sauce, we had to ask for it and it tasted like a watery soy sauce with hoisin. I don’t know how to describe it but lacking compared to the other hibachi restaurants. Clear soup was a scam lol

We had a long wait time. Where we were seated we were able to see the air vents on the wall and they need to be cleaned really bad. They were filthy. The owner really needs to in vest in upto date technology. You need to have an app where you can check in. That way when your table is ready the greeter can send you a message. Once you get inside. Once inside, they can seat you. There needs to be sign that says "Pick up to go orders here."

Great experience, can't really say much against. I ordered the sushi dinner, from left to right in my Pic, I got 3 tuna, 3 salmon, 3 yellowtail, and a couple I'm not sure about. The yellowtail was absolutely fantastic, just melt in your mouth soft and delicious. The tuna did have some stringy feeling veins that were off-putting. The miso soup was brothy and rich yet delicate, with just enough perfect little tofu cubes. The salad was just iceberg lettuce, but it was a good medium to try out the lemony dressing. The shumai was really good, definitely worth a try. The service was surprisingly fast and very attentive. The warm house sake was piping hot and well served. I can definitely recommend the dining side, and if I could, I would love to try out the hibachi side.

There is absolutely no waiting area. It was extremely busy which is acceptable but about 30 people crowded the waiting area. Other than that the drinks were top shelf. Excellent craftsmanship. The food was what you would expect. Nothing above and beyond. The chef entertainment might have been a little better than Kobe but not anything to write about. The lack of sauces was puzzling for kind of a copycat. That's one of the main reasons I like Kobe. All this had to offer was yum sauce. And the decor was very modern and bland. A very plain white restaurant.

Once I was seated I waited for my server as other customers were seated and waited on. The greeter brought me a water and said that my server was in the kitchen. She finally arrived and I ordered, my food came out promptly and it was so good that I ordered another roll. I was in plain view of the server station and while she was putting my food ordered in she was talking about me with another server as they both looked at me giggling. If you're going to talk about someone don't do it where they can see you.

First impression is there is little to no waiting area, only one small bench that holds 3-4 people. We were seated in a timely manner and the server was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and came in a reasonable time. The only thing that really bothered me was (what I'm assuming is the owners) man and woman blatantly verbally abusing the wait staff! Our server was a very nice young man who I witnessed get yelled at by both the husband and wife (again owners?) and take it and not lose his cool as I would have if I were in his place. Very unprofessional of the management and embarrassing for the establishment. I was one second away from confronting them in front of everyone in the restaurant but I was convinced to not cause a scene. I will not be returning to this restaurant because I refuse to support a hostile work environment.

Tried Osaka Steak House & Sushi for the first time yesterday. The experience was just ok. Most of our table got the Teppanyaki. I did not care for the clear soup because it came out lukewarm and had a weird aftertaste. The salad was just lettuce with a creamy ginger dressing. My husband didn’t care for it. I thought it was fine. We were only given one sauce (yum, yum sauce). Kobe or Genji will give you several. Our food was very bland, and the meat quality was poor, my steak was mostly gristle. Should’ve ordered all shrimp instead of the steak and shrimp I suppose. The Teppanyaki chef only did a couple tricks and used egg instead of shrimp for tossing at guests to catch. Felt cheap. I was really surprised, was expecting much better.

It’s hard to find a Hibachi restaurant that allows you to make orders to go. I came across this restaurant (04/07/24) and decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp hibachi with fried rice & the Chicken hibachi with fried rice. Both came with veggies, salad(lettuce only) and soup. The food was really good and It was packaged very well. When I arrived my order was ready and all instructions followed. I’ll definitely be back!

The servers put us down for the wrong time and canceled our reservation after confirming the time and it being on the hibachi twice. Ridiculous Edit: That's a lie, and I also record all my phone calls, so I could prove you confirmed the 7pm reservation on March 3rd at 6:40pm. My boyfriend had called for a reservation at 7pm a few weeks before my birthday dinner, then called again a few days before to confirm that they had my party for 7pm on the hibachi side. The woman he spoke to ‘checked’ and confirmed over the phone our party was confirmed for 7pm. When we got there they had cancelled our reservation and we saw they put my name down for 6pm on their list and it was crossed out with pen. We said only two people had not arrived yet but were a few minutes away but they refused to seat us until they saw everyone had arrived for our party of 10. The cook was amazing and made the experience better but the first two people (hostess and manager) were horrible.

I would give a negative review if I could. How dare you know that your chef cut himself, is bleeding and continue to try to cook the food. Then get upset because the customer asked him to remake the food and clean the grill before proceeding. Completely ridiculous. I’m definitely contacting the health department and let them know what I witnessed. The manager was just as rude and disgusting. Who knows how many times you guys have continued to cook food while bleeding. No one should have to ask to get new food and the grill cleaned after a chef has cut themselves. Do better!

We went to eat with 4 friends and we ordered garlic edamame, chicken fried rice, chicken yakisoba, sushi&roll and karaage. Everything came, the edamame had hair in it, instead of the chicken yakisoba, came the mix yakisoba came with beef in the mix, which we don't eat. Tell the staff working in the hall about the hair loss, they didn't even feel wrong, let's leave it without apologizing. Sushi & roll is ok , other food is we don’t like.

Food was good for lunch. Ate at the grill. However no mushrooms with the vegies. Cook had no desire to be here. No volcano, no showmanship at all. Thick grease on the grill next to the counter you eat at. Grease dripping on the grill from the hood. Cleaning the grill table when we arrived at 11:30 from the previous night. Sadly gone down hill, not adequately staffed, not clean. Will probably go find a new place.

We went to Osaka for a birthday. The food was well prepared and delicious. A party at our table had a food allergy that they made known to the cook and he was very careful to not cross contaminate. It was a busy night and the staff seemed very disorganized, making those with reservations wait 20+ minutes, which is why the service is rated at a 3. For a restaurant like this you would expect a more organized approach to handling those with reservations. I would go back again but likely on a slower night.

Food was good and the service was great once the hibatchi chef arrived at our table. Prior to that I think we caught them busier than they expected. We had a reservation for 8pm but didn't get seated until closer to 8:30pm. It was about 9pm by the time the grill master arrived. He was great! The food was delicious! The place was packed and I would anticipate that next time as well. Wish I had taken pictures, but I was starving so I was too busy eating... And it was delicious 😊 Update:. Back a week later and even better!!! Raising from 4 to 5 stars 😁 Updated again:. Back for lunch on the last day of school for the kids. Short one hibachi chef, but they managed to avoid long waits and the food was just as good as ever!

I wanted to try this restaurant for Hibachi as I have been to others several times. I called to see if they would accommodate gluten-free on the hibachi grill, and she said NO, not for 1 person. They would make my food in the kitchen! 😱 Now why would I go to a hibachi grill when the entertainment of cooking your food is why you're paying higher price to eat there? She said that if your party is multiple gluten-free patrons, they will cook on the grill, but NOT for 1 person. I go for the entertainment/celebration, so if they are taking that away from me, i would rather go to Kobe or Gengi. They have always taken care of me!

Complete disappointment from the order. We ordered takeaway food, 5 types of rolls and clear soup. I personally came and picked it up. Everything was opened at home. My first surprise was the soup. This is a broth in which 4 dried slices of mushroom floated, some greens, apparently for a change, and one, just one piece of noodles. That is, it is a completely empty soup, even we decided to save money on noodles. But when we opened all our rolls, we saw only 4 small bags of soy sauce, let me remind you that we had 5 sets of rolls, these 4 bags were enough for two names of rolls. As for the food itself, it is delicious, but the volumes of each piece of the roll are significantly small. Disappointed. Although we initially ordered the food after reading the reviews.

Came here for my birthday because the last time we went was so good. Last time not so much. Server was lazy and could tell didn’t want to be there. Server took order with an attitude, Didn’t garnish our drinks. Put them down on table with an attitude. Then he charged us gratuity for 6 and we were only 2 people. Called to complain. Osaka is one of the best, if not THE best hibachi steakhouses in Omaha. It is also my favorite Sushi restaurant in Omaha. I have been there countless times with my family for Hibachi and quite a few times for lunch and dinner on dates on the dining side. The Salmon Martini is really good. Was seated and served drinks promptly for my wife’s 40th which was great. The salad on top was very good, but soup at the bottom (way too much dressing). Clear broth soup came out room temp. Beyond that, everything else was good food wise. Biggest issue was how quick they aim to get you in and out. Chef was in a hurry and didn’t do much of any show that we saw other tables get. But, by far the thing that would prevent us from returning was once all of our food was plated and the chef was gone, a busser immediately cleaned the grill and smoke went all over our clothes/faces and food. We saw this happen around the restaurant. Unfortunately, they were in such a hurry to get us out, we had a hard time enjoying the remainder of our meal. This was our table’s experience tonight.

Went for my daughter's birthday. The staff was extremely friendly. The chefs are very engaging. She loved it. The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. Will definitely go back!

I love this place. I love hibachi and this place is my favorite out of all the grills in Omaha. Even if dining on the other side without the hibachi it's still a nice atmosphere. The wait staff are attentive the food is soooo good and the sushi is delicious. I'm hungry again thinking about it.

I loved the hibachi. The chef was nice but the food was so so. I had the steak and fried rice hibachi. Almost no seasoning. I do have to say that the sushi is above average. Prices are a bit steep. For a sushi roll, a soda and the hibachi, it was about $50 just for me. The actual waitress said about 2 words to me during the whole meal, wait staff of 3 people were just standing around watching customers eat. Almost like they were just waiting to hurry us out.

Our cook wasn’t very friendly. You go to this type of restaurant to enter act with the cook & be entertained… but… was to serious & not making any conversation with us.. The floor was slippery .. which made me think that it hadn’t been mopped in weeks.. maybe months.. Went to grab the pepper shaker.. it was so dirty.. For the amount of money you spend to eat here.. one would think the “OVERALL”service would be superb. Place needs a deep cleaning from floors to windows. Will not return to this establishment.. greatly disappointed.. thank God we didn’t pay for he dinner.

This was my first visit and my last. I went there for lunch and I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box lunch. I debated between sushi rolls or bento box and chose the bento box because it said it included a California roll. They should mention it is not a roll and merely 4 small, thin pieces of sushi that fall apart as you pick them up. The salad was discolored, old iceberg lettuce covered in a dressing that was pretty good. The best thing on the plate was the rice, that was nicely seasoned buy everything else was a disappointment. I personally would not go back.
