Great food, and wonderful people!!!

Today was my first time visiting the establishment. Getting the history of the place was awesome. I want to donate air conditioning to them. People give love to pat Gee's. Loved the food

A bit like a movie, a cabin in the middle of nowhere. There were quite a few of us, but since we were a little late, there was no problem with space. There was no chicken left, but we ordered ribs, beef (shredded and sliced) and sausages. All very rich. There was no peach cobbler left either, so we'll have to come back to try it. A very good experience. If you go expecting a white tablecloth, immaculate table and air conditioning, this is not your place.

Very cool old place been here 65 yrs. 3 generations of family seem to run the place, very welcoming- food is top notch BBQ is one of the best I have had, and that's saying something cause I'm a big dude that's had a lot of bbq. Even has Peach Cobler. 🍑 Great ol Smokey Atmosphere!

Well I ran across this little place today while I was working near by. First the 2 gentlemen working there very nice. I hate giving a bad review but hopefully this will make them better in the long run. I got 2 sliced beef sandwiches & pinto beans Got back to the job and started eating properly the toughest meat ever. I should have caught it when the guy slicing the brisket the wrong way. Sliced it same direction at the grain of the meat. So now I've got thought long stringy bbq and the pinto beans way off had way to much chili powder. This place is as bad as Poke-n-da-eye bbq. Never thought anyone could be that bad. Never will I go back

I have now tried Pat Gee's twice but never ever again!! I really thought the first time was a bad day and after seeing the great reviews and some lady made a video with great reviews (lady from the south or something like that) so I told my husband "let's go back"... we fought thru the smoke inside (eyes burning and red) and unsanitary conditions but great hospitality ONLY TO FORCE MYSELF to take bites and nearly get sick. The potato salad is flavors and ingredients you should never combine (their creation), beans were so salty and meat was boiled, chewy and flavorless masked over with a runny ketchup sauce I could have drank. With every bite me and my husband would look at each other with pure disappointment 😞 we sat 10mins to not be rude and then high tailed it out of there to the dairy queen in overton. My dogs ate good 😢 I wanted sooooooo bad for this place to be great, especially hearing how good it was way back when

I think everyone in this town got long COVID and can’t taste their food. The sandwich wasn’t awful but it wasn’t good. I’m giving 2 instead of 1 stars because the brisket wasn’t greasy or overly fatty like one other place in the area. However, when you walk into the joint you can’t breathe because of the smoke. Yet, when I got my sandwich, my clothes were smokier than the beef. Well they smother it in sauce that will save it right? Nope. I have had 100s of sauces and I will say this one is closer to one in the grocery store than a bbq joint. They put it on white un-toasted bread that gets soggy immediately. Toasted would help this. Speaking of the bread, I know this won’t bother some but definitely bothers me when it’s not done out of eyesight ( everyone does it just not where I can see), the person handling all the money doesn’t wash, sanitize, or even just wipe his hands before getting the bread for your sandwich. How bad was the food? I went to my favorite place to get some good chopped. Now this place is cheaper so if you go to McDonald’s because they have hamburgers cheaper than a burger joint, I can’t fault you. However, stop saying it’s good and just say for the money it’s ok.

This is AMAZING BBQ!! Don't expect matching chairs or air conditioning or heat- but the brisket is amazing. I'd eat it every meal. Seriously. And, if the cobbler is available- buy the pan.

Without question the best part of Pat's is the friendly service and accomodating gentlemen operating the place. Beyond that, it's hard to understand the reputation or glowing reviews. The 'que is bland, potato salad uninspired and cole slaw "just okay". The place may have been "quaint" at one time, but it's unsanitary and violates more than a few health codes. It's honorable to try keeping a multi-generational business open, and I'm sure they have seen better days, but this one is long overdue for permanent retirement. So wish I could wax eloquently about this East Texas BBQ haven, but despite the really fair pricing and hospitality, it's time to blow taps and lower the flag.

The food was extraordinary!! They were so nice and down to earth people. Peach cobbler was phenomenal!! Very cheap food. So delicious!! 1000/10 God bless this shop!!

i’ve had some good barbecue in my times but this place was easily hands down the most finger licking meat i’ve ever had. service was 100000/10, will come again for sure with my entire family tree

Wow... Worth the drive and worthy of the hype. I was so pleased with my visit. I had the brisket and sausage with beans and some other worldly potato salad. The large plate was $12!! The potato salad was absolutely delicious. I got a large to-go because it was THAT good. Meats were awesome, service was super friendly. Highly recommended.

Sweet baby Jesus! This BBQ is illegally delicious. We had the ribs, chopped beef sandwich, beans, potato salad and peach cobbler oh, and can't forget the sauce-amazing! Everything was straight up tried and true old school. If this is your thing then this is your place. The friendly service and hospitality delivered with big, genuine smiles takes Pat's over the top. Worth the trip whether near or far. We look forward to our next visit with you fine folks.

The BBQ scent hits immediately upon stepping of our vehicle and then the food speaks all that is necessary for this place. The two folks running the joint were friendly and conversational; giving us a little of their history. Four of us split ribs, hot links, sausage, sliced beef, pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, potato salad. It was all delicious! We ordered to much for four. The potato salad in something special with a unique zing!

I love finding quaint little BBQ joints like this one! Family run & passed down from generation to generation. The folks were so incredibly sweet, as sweet as their peach cobbler! You must try it. It's heavy on the nutmeg Their ribs were absolutely delightful they pour the extra fat sauce on top of it and let me tell you my mouth is watering trying to explain it Loved the turkey leg flavor The smoke flavor has permeated everything in this building and it is absolutely delightfully beautiful. The whole place has this wonderful barbecue aroma that just cannot be replicated anywhere

I remember being in Gatlin’s in H-town and telling them they would never be my favorite BBQ joint. Mrs. Gatlin asked what my favorite place was and I said, “Well, I’m from Tyler..” She interrupted me and said “Pat Gee’s” and smiled.

We had the beef and potato salad.. Finished off with the peach cobbler and ice cream. Will will definitely be back!! PS We also got a rack of ribs for dinner tonight!!

I'll be honest--this isn't the best BBQ you will eat. But this place is the ultimate backwoods bbq experience.

The feeling you get when you walk in here is like you're in an old bunk house at deer camp with some buddies, the chopped beef sandwich was great and I really liked the potato salad, the ribs were just OK, the peach cobbler was pretty good but had a little too much cinnamon.

A REAL East Texas spot. Gotta go there for a real experience.

Delicious food, I ate ribs, brisket, beans and potato salad and had the peach cobbler as a dessert. Friendly people and an excellent Barbecue place to eat at. The meat is very tender and juicy.

Where to begin?! The SAUCE is AMAZING!!! The ribs were "fall off the bone" heaven; moist and flavorful! The brisket was tasty and lean. And their sausage made your tongue sing from the spices. The family was very warm, welcoming and friendly. Made us laugh and feel like part of the family.

Finally tried them today after intending to for several years and was very pleased. Good food, good prices and very generous servings. Had chopped beef (which was the sliced brisket chopped) and ribs. There is minimal rub on either. You get meat and smoke which is as it should be. The sauce has very little heat (as I prefer), but is really tasty and they have hot sauces you can add. They'll be my go-to for barbecue for the foreseeable future.

Off the chain! Come on in to flavor town and get a large plate for $11.99! Plenty of food.. nearly big enough for two! The ham was delicious, the chopped beef was even better. I would most definitely recommend stopping by and paying a visit.

This is REAL BBQ! I have been looking all over ETX for great BBQ and finally found it. This place is only open on weekends and is cash only and WOW it's great. Chop beef samich on slices of white bread. Sauce is incredible. Ribs fantastic, and nobody makes peach cobbler this good. Great prices and great people running the place. Can't wait to get back next weekend.

This place has great old style BBQ atmosphere and excellent barbecue. Cash only and no AC but even on a 90 degree day it was not uncomfortable with the box fans going. I plan on returning on my way home from. Dallas.

Amazing experience all the way around. Arthur and Billy treated us like Kings. They were fun to talk to, the food was top notch, and they even gave us cobbler for free. Highly recommend and hope to come back!

Been coming here since I was a kid back in the early 90s. My favorite BBQ spot of all time. Fast and always friendly and there recipes are like no one else's.

Food was great only suggestion is I wish the sandwiches came with buns. Bread got soggy and sandwich just fell apart big mess.🙁

Now its official, 5 generations of my family have eaten here. The food is great and the people are delightful. Their sauce is to die for. It's almost a sin to waste any of their sauce.

You would not believe the love that comes from the inside of this place. There is a wooden stove that keeps the place warm in the winter. There are no covered walls on the inside, just a frame with wood constructed on the outside of the building. The food is excellent, the service is beyond any other. If you happen to be traveling I-20 take that 5 minute jaunt south and get a taste. You'll be back every time!!!!

Classic old school Texas BBQ. My wife isnt a huge fan of BBQ but she said "This is dang good!" Im not a big fan of tater salad... until now. I can not wait to go back!

Serious Q. Great sliced beef sandwiches. Been there a while. Like the sign says......till they run out of meat. It's like a step back in time. Get your mouth ready. I'm 60 years old, and it reminds me of Q when I was a boy. Lots of folks eat there.....it's where a lot of older prosperous Black Men hang out at times. Ain't fancy. I give myself a treat with the sliced beef sandwiches. Stopped by today. Had to show why I'm smiling😸 When I stop by, my nose is happy.
