Great atmosphere and food is good

The food was so flavorful and authentic, portions were good, and the friendly service couldnt have been any better, they made you feel right at home! Jugos naturales were so refreshing! We are so glad we came to this place after our long trip to Seaworld! Highly recommend!

The decoration of the place is nice. The mangu was over priced two ice cream scoops of mangu for 18 bucks. One fried cheese 2 small eggs and 2 salami the onions were too vinagre . Then we were 4 they charged the tip with your bill automatically. They didn’t say that when we were ordering. They just said the do that in the weekends . I guess weekdays is only 6 people or more. Would I go again definitely not. And as we were leaving they were mopping the front entrance that should have been done before they opened.

I didn't like it, that they asked if someone had a birthday at the table and then charged them 10 dollars for the dessert they sent, that's stealing, no one said, bring the cake, we thought it was on the house, the mojitos charge it at 9 when they say it's at 7, the waitress She gave me very nice attention but she has to have a little tact, they don't take the plate without asking what they finished, Elba I think that's her name, you have to be a little more friendly

I am a manager of a restaurant called Agave Roja in the outer banks NC. I have the opportunity to come to this Dominican restaurant with my husband. It has been the best experience in a Dominican restaurant that we have had in the entire country. Dailis is the best. If you have the opportunity, she will serve you, super delicious food and the perfect atmosphere. I give them 100 out of 10. Perfect work from the owners to the waiters. Thank you. I already want to return.

So many positive reviews for this place must be fake. Food is subpar at best. Everything that was ordered was brought out lukewarm or cold. It was mostly tasteless and not fresh. All dishes, for the exception of the skirt steak, tasted premade from several hours ago and left under heat lamps until ordered. Frankly, everyone in our group found the food to be overpriced, drenched in a cheap, white beschamel sauce, and not made to order. Music was too loud and the bathrooms were crappy. I am not able to recommend this place. May be a better after hours nightclub than it is a restaurant. A 20% gratuity is imposed on every bill on Saturdays and Sundays, regardless of group size. We were 3. Service by waitress was impersonal, extremely rushed, and nowhere near worth a 20% gratuity. The only thing nice were the decorations on the wall. Restaurants like these give Orlando a bad name.

Doris is very attentive in her service, very high that 20% automatically to the service, when it is not compatible with the service, where they give you two and a half hours to be in the restaurant. Already limiting to your stay. The noises are unbearable. Tuning instruments, singing congratulations and ambient music. Very rush to pick up the service. When your service is very efficient, put that 20% on the service so that it is equivalent. I don't think I'll repeat it another day I wrote more because it doesn't give me the option to comment on the administrator's response. But know that the orchestra was not even playing. The waitress was friendly, but they understood the description of my comment in a hurry to remove dishes, incomplete menu cards and they removed them almost unfinished, so why continue. Better dedicate yourself to improving the negative comments that are similar to mine, referring to the atmosphere of your place.

Dorkis was our server. She seemed to get a bit overwhelmed with a table of 8 - I think the service could have been better. When we paid for the bill we did so digitally leaving a 22 percent tip. When we got up she ran after us stating she had not received payment . It made us uncomfortable because she acted as if we ate and took off - we showed her the receipt and she still commented that she had not received confirmation- moments later she received confirmation. She almost seemed surprised - I was ticked off at her reaction. We’ve visited this restaurant several times when we come to visit on vacation- The food does not disappoint but I wish they had better server- particularly those who are native to the Dominican Republic and know the flavors and ingredients to the food! This aside the food was remarkable. The sancocho was ok but the biste encebollado, churrasco, chivo, rabo and mofongo were awesome ! The live music is Dominicanly loud but awesome and vibrant! Price was moderate Bill for 8 with one entree and one drink was short of $500.

Chicharrones were hard and dry Mangu con los golpes was good Perico Ripiao was good The food arrived cold. We waited 30min for a waitress, to just have another person come (Tolón was great), then our original waitress came to attend us to just take orders and not be attentive. While eating we finish one of the small plates in the big plate and they stock their hand in the plate to take out the plate while eating. Had high expectations. Good for a dance and drinks after 0900pm.

Everything about this place was great.. food, service and environment. But apparently they have this rule which they don’t tell you at the moment of ordering and they have it written in the menu in EXTREMELY small letters that tip is included in parties of 6 and in every weekend. For a table of only 3 of us we were charged $30 tip. Now don’t get me wrong server was very good, but the only thing she did was come to the table around 4 times to check if food was good. She didn’t even brought the food out. When we complained about being charged $30 tip in a 3 partie table, the manager worried about taking the payment and didn’t even cared about our opinion as customers. For such a great food and environment it is extremely disappointing that they have hidden rules that are not verbalized to the customers at the moment of their order being taken. For me this was a robbery of money.

This brought me right back to the island. Everything was delicious, making it worth the 45-minute drive in the rain. It's a total vibe. 🏝️ #foodie #islandlife #rainyday
