If you miss good old fashioned burgers fries, Philly cheese steaks , or even chicken fried steak sandwiches, then this is the place for you. Lee's money than whataburger and better quality than ANY corporate chain. If however you like computers taking your order, getting your own food from the counter, or self check out? Then this is not the place for you. Friendly real people making really good food that they take pride in making. Theses folks are amazing@

I looked through some of these photos and didn’t really see the appeal of this place. The burgers don’t look all that crazy to me. I decided to try it anyway, and I’m glad I did. I will definitely be a regular. I can see why people love it and I can see why they would be disappointed, but me personally, I like little places like this. Not something I would drive across Houston for, but this is good for locals.

We tried this place for the first time today and the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were so polite. We will definitely be returning again and again.

We frequented Pete’s Burger when it first opened, we made a stop by there this weekend and the quality of food has drastically changed. The burger patties are probably from a box of frozen burgers , The meat is no longer made daily and cooked to order. They really need to revisit where they first started because that was good and what they are doing now is not.

This is my second time to Pete's burgers. First time was earlier this week whenever I had ordered the best BLT this side of texas. Well I came in this evening and I ordered again the best BLT on this side of Texas but almost choked on the bacon my teeth won't even go through the bacon. It was horrible and a huge waste of my time and money.

Good little place for a quick burger & fries. They are almost always packed. Nothing fancy, but the atmosphere is pretty cool. Update: Just tried the Philly cheese steak sandwich on the request of the guy behind the counter. I had no expectation going in, but OMG it was good. I will definitely get it again. It may be the best thing they have that I have tried so far.

I’ve been going to Pete’s for years, I’d say since I was about 10, over the years this place has done an amazing job at maintaining its culture and environment, Today a young man name Kagen helped me (hope I’m spelling that correctly), He was super energetic and positive, And showed me exemplary service, he helped me in the restaurant and as I was leaving he was sweeping up the parking lot, making sure the place was clean, the food is amazing it’s like eating a home cooked meal I kid you not! If you’re looking for a hometown feel with great food and a unique diner feel this is the place to go! Pete’s is more than a burger place to many of us, it’s a place that carries tradition and memories.

They are very helpful there. They will make your order the way you like. Change it up anyway. You want the very polite and the place is always clean. I always love the fried mushrooms. And your petty mount is always great

Fast, friendly service after a hurricane. The burgers are good, simple, well made burgers. Nothing fancy but all good. They are served hot with fresh crispy veggies. Don't go expecting over seasoned anything or gourmet whatever. Expect a well made burger. I'd try the other parts of the menu but then I'd miss out on the burger. The kids loved the grilled cheese.

This is a local burger spot in the new caney porter area. A lot of traditional foods and with a service staff that is awesome. Many memorabilia on the walls with music to good with.

The staff is better than the food. They don't allow people not eating there to sit at their outside tables. They'll call the cops. They've done it to me twice.

We went there as a last-minute decision and it was a great decision. We had cheeseburgers with onion rings and chili cheese fries. The burgers were hot and perfectly cooked, and the onion rings were cooked perfectly. If your looking for a good hoke cooked burger with great atmosphere and good service definitely go try this place. Would give it more stars if possible.

Always excellent service and great food! My daughter enjoyed her buffalo wings today, I found the country fried steak sandwich to be crispy and delicious, and my son really enjoyed his cheeseburger! Fried mozzarella and fried pickles are always great too! My only complaint would be that parking can sometimes be hard to find, but I can deal with that for delicious food.

Food was good. Tried their wings for the first time and they didn’t disappoint. Only thing is that dining In can be a bit challenging. Small space. They do have a separate room with a little bit more seating but still facing some challenges. To get refills if you are sitting in the separate dining area you will have to walk outside and in to main room to access their soda machine. Other than this minor issue it’s a good place to eat!

I always love going to my local burger joint. Their Patty Melt is so delicious! My boyfriend loves the mushroom Swiss burger.

Been going to Pete's for over 10 years now. Something has changed. Service was good, location is good, but food... It's not as good as before. We had such high expectations of full flavor and juicy burgers only to get dry flavorless burger. 😭

I went to Pete’s Burger bar around lunchtime and while it was pretty packed (inside and in the parking lot), the nice gentleman at the counter took my order and ran me up fairly quickly. I didn’t wait for longer than 10 minutes and my food came out hot. I got the cheeseburger daily special which comes with fries and a drink with adding bacon it came out to $13 and some change. Inside was very cute and quaint, there’s a lot of old store and business signs on the way, very much a diner vibe. The burger tasted great, I could tell it was homemade - very thick and juicy, the fries were good and soft, and the tea was sweet and cold! This place was recommended to me by a friend who’s local to the area but I will definitely be back.

I was recommended by a friend to Pete’s Burgers . They gave us great service, great food fast and hot . This place makes the best burgers in Porter . We use to go to Whataburger but now because of the recommendation I will make a uturn to Pete’s Burgers . To make it even better is the hospitality of the people on duty no matter what time of day . Today so happen to come after the floods and we glad they were open for business .

Saw the good reviews and I went. I do not agree with those reviews. Burger lacked flavor, packed with veggies on top. Bun was soggy from those veggies and I ate it there. Burger was not the size of the bun… I literally only tasted lettuce and onions. Onion Rings… Burned.. crisp… not good at all. I don’t recommend Not to mention, this was a frozen fake tasting burger. Not homemade

The best fried chicken sandwich that I've ever had! It was very crispy with fresh veggies and perfect with a side of onion rings. Come here for good food at fair prices, with friendly staff and interesting antique decorations! Plenty of seating inside in two areas, with some picnic tables outside.

Everything about this place is a 10/10. I’m convinced that Pete’s Burgers is the best burger joint in all of Texas. If you disagree you’ve never tried it. The food is both affordable and delicious. I had a cheeseburger with bacon added, onion rings, and a drink for $15.35. Everything about it was great! The service was great, and the atmosphere of the establishment was very homily and inviting. They also offer pie and ice cream as dessert options. Overall, Pete's Burger Place is an awesome burger restaurant that I highly recommend.

Kingwood is the worst area around Houston to eat out in but at least you can get something worth a dam here.

Best Steak Fingers in Town, Best Fried Pickles, Best Onion Pedals, Best Waitstaff, Best Counter Staff, but the Mushroom Swiss still does not Match Cryptoburger’s.

This was my first time visit and was recommended by long time area resident and friend. It ia a rustic old time burger restaurant. The workers were very welcoming and friendly to us a party of 12. We came as a group later in the evening and stayed a until little after closing time. The service and food was excellent and we not rushed or asked to leave. Quaint little hole in the wall that's been here forever. This place is great. I've been coming here for years. I ordered the daily Manager's special. The cheese burger was homemade delicious. I added bacon. I had it with French fries and asked for them crispy. They cooked them to perfection. My daughter had the mushroom & Swiss burger. Also one of my faves. Lots of mushrooms and lots of grilled onions. Service is always great here. Very accommodating. I had a burger to go for my other daughter. I was there kind of late, 7:15pmish. They close at 8pm. I asked the mgr at what time was the latest I could order a to go plate cause they close at 8pm. He very matter of fact said, 8pm. My daughter and I enjoyed our food there and I placed my to go order at 7:50. No issues, no complaints, delightful attitude. If your in the Porter area you've gotta visit this place. Forgo all the fast food burgers. They have a full menu. Chicken, hot dogs, Philly cheese, and more goodies. Oh, and desserts too. Can't say enough nice things about this little gem of a place.

If I tell you hands down this is one of the best burger places on 59 n in Porter, Tx off 494 . The customer service is top tier and the fresh ingredients for the burger were phenomenal. If you’re in the area for lunch please stop by. They served my food hot fresh, toasted my buns without me asking. My food came out so fast I still had 30 minutes to enjoy my lunch break and I dined in!!!!! I absolutely love the wall decor💙

Found this hidden gem while in kingwood at the pickle festival. Ordered 2 burger combos which included fries and drink for 10.99. We also ordered a side of fried mushrooms. Service was awesome. We were greeted warmly. Food was excellent. Burger was just right. Mushrooms were crispy and hot. The place is small on the inside and got packed really quickly, which is a great sign. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.
