We are sure glad we stopped in here for lunch! We had visited Petosky State Park and drive by here. The service was fast and friendly and the food was out of this world. We started with the pickle soup which was delicious. We ordered the Kinds Feast Platter which gave us a taste of several items, all were great. Loved the Bigos and the stuffed cabbage. We also ordered the pork schnitzel which was fabulous. The portion was huge and the meat was juicy and at least a half inch thick! Couldn’t eat it all and had to take some home. Would definitely recommend this place!

First time visit. Had the rubin and it was excellent! If I lived in that area I would be a regular.

This restaurant is the highlight of my entire year. I’ve been going here since I was in middle school. We would scrape together a couple dollars and split a plate of Pierogies. The family that runs this restaurant makes this food with so much love.

I very much love this place. Really nice staff and the food is great!! If Polish food is your thing then money and an appetite is what you need to bring! No time , get carry out. Its all good regardless of the geographical location it is consumed at. Go! Try it seriously , its good food.

Absolutely excellent food and service from a great husband and wife team. GIANT thick schnitzel that is pan fried and fork tender. We'll be back everytime we're in the area.

My favorite sandwich is a corned beef reuben. I've had them all over in my travels but never as good as here. Homemade corned beef and delicious sauerkraut. The sandwich is huge the rye I believe was homemade as well. Gotta getcha some.

Outstanding all around!! First the food was delicious! I had the borscht and it was excellent! Then we shared a huge portion of the Pork Schnitzel. The restaurant is sweetly decorated with an old world charm. And the prices were very reasonable!

Just as good as my great grandma’s Polish cooking!! We were so impressed we ate there two days in a row while we were in the area.

We found this place out of curiosity. One of two in that area-we did not try the other one. Well, I compare it to home cooking. It's 4.3 for me. We had the Jack Sandwich and a Polish Burger plus a 9 pierogi plate (3 meat, 3 sour kraut, 3 farmers cheese/potato-classic/traditional). Apple cake-5/5. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Good seasoning, well creatively constructed sandwiches, pierogi were good but we did not think they were home made. If you're in the area, give them a try. I would definitely eat there again. They've been open since 2010 and had a good number of locals walk in as we were eating. Good size meals for sure!

We dine here almost weekly. Service is always above and beyond. Food is 10/10. Great spot for vegetarian’s.

Best homemade Polish food next to my Babcia!

Cześć! Welcome to Poland! 🇵🇱 My partner and I have come here several times for lunch, and each visit is better than the last! As an honorary Pole, I am always elated to come here! The Polish Kitchen has exceptionally delicious dishes such as their Hunter's Stew (Bigos) and their ginormous Pork Cutlet sandwich! Each meal is quite largely proportioned, so a to-go container is a must! Who wouldn't want leftover Polish food? 😋 The service is also incredibly helpful and friendly! I cannot emphasize how much thought is put into both their food and service. I also try to practice the minimal Polish that I do know. 😊 We are always pleased with our time here at the Polish Kitchen! Dziękuję! 🇵🇱

Friendly, authentic service which is a nice change to the usual fake pomp places are giving nowadays. A true taste of Poland. Loved all of our food (except the chicken pierogies). Flavorful, perfectly cooked pierogis, we had the pastie previously and it’s really good but the mushroom sauce, whew so good. Stuffed cabbage, very solid. Best around here and likely all of MI, highly recommend and will be back.

I’ve lived in US over 15 years and have never found a REAL Polish restaurant! This place is sooo authentic it felt like moms cooking or better! Bigos has always been my favorite and at every “polish” place I went, they were a rip off!! Barely any meat… if I wanted a sauerkraut I would have gotten just that and not Bigos lol amazing place!

It’s been a long long time since my husband and I have had that good of a Polish dinner! I am a celiac who has an extreme intolerance for gluten and the staff was extremely helpful to help me choose items that were safe for me! I didn’t get sick and this food was AMAZING. Definitely worth the drive!!

So glad we stumbled upon this gem! My husband and I both got a meal and we got an appetizer and it was under $50! Seriously delicious homemade polish food!

The bigos and The cabbage rolls were good. The crepes/Krokety were very unappealing with frozen vegetables inside. Out of all the pierogies the pork and sauerkraut ones were decent. the other flavours (potato onion, potato cheddar) very bland. Overall decent food for a quick and very filling bite with some good picks and some not so good picks. Probably won’t be back as I’m pretty picky with my polish food (I am polish) but glad I had a chance to try it and I always like to support small businesses and everyone’s taste buds are surely different. :) friendly owner too!

Family came here and we were served with such kindness. The dill pickle soup and beet soup are delicious. The soups are must order here, large portion as well! Star of the menu is the polish reuben. Pastie was a bit dry. Pierogis were great. The angel wings were light yet crispy, definitely eating here again.

Great food and service at a reasonable price. The environment was very informal and comfortable (and of course included a picture of the pope. My wife and I split “The Kings Feast”. We loved everything. The stuffed cabbage was particularly good with both great taste and texture. Try as we might, we couldn’t finish everything. If I ever get within 50 miles again, I will make it a point to stop.

We have been to this restaurant everytime we are in the area. Nothing fancy, but all is good. I can't remember the name of the sandwich I got that is pictured, but boy was it good and massive too. There's not too many times that I don't clean my plate, this time was one of them. I could only eat half of it, the other half went home. It had a nice size breaded pork loin topped with sliced kielbasa and sliced cooked cabbage and it might of had something else too. It was delicious! You may have to wait a while for the food as they can be busy at times, and they only have a few people working there (mom & pop), but it is worth it. We got a take out of the frozen pierogi to take home with us as we know that is good as well too. There food is too good of a value to pass up. Very reasonably priced for what you get. I highly recommend.

My Wife and I stopped at the Polish Kitchen after driving down from Mackinaw City on our way home. I love authentic Polish food and was searching for some when I came across this place after searching through Google about local restaurants in the area. My Grandfather is from Poland so I grew up eating his cooking. I had high expectations after reading all of the great reviews about this place. Parking was tight but we found a spot and came in. This is a pay first/seat yourself restaurant so I ordered 2 Kielbasa plates, a Polish sampler platter, and 2 soft drinks. Everything came to $53 dollars. We paid then wandered off to go find a table. There was no table for 2 left so we sat at a huge 6 chair table in the back corner. The restaurant is decent size and the place was about 75% full. The waiter/owner brought the food to our table after about 30 minutes and we were hungry and excited to dig in. First off, the Kielbasa was delicious. It was served hot and it was tasty. We both enjoyed the Kielbasa. No problems there. The vegetables on my plate were terrible. They tasted undercooked. The carrots were barely warm, squishy, and full of water. They tasted and looked just like cheap, bagged, microwaveable 5 minute vegetables. My wife's mashed potatos came with no butter, no seasoning, no gravy, and she told me they tasted like potatos out the box. The best thing on the sampler platter was the kielbasa. The perogies had no flavors at all. The stuffed cabbage roll was below average was not hot. I always expect good food to be served HOT. That is ground zero for a good restaurant. Also after the waiter dropped the food off we never saw him again. Not once. No, "how is your meal?" Nothing. And when we left, we passed the front counter/cash register and there was no acknowledgement. Overall, we were very disappointed in the food AND the service. The kielbasa was good. I enjoyed that. But everything else, including the hospitality, was severely lacking.

My favorite place for a polish meal up north. Their pierogi rivals the authentic ones found in Hantramck, Michigan. Restaurant is family run and this is a must stop every time we visit the area. Highly recommend if you love polish food.

This place is amazing!!! The food tastes so good and the pricing is very reasonable. The staff is fruendly and will answer any question you have. I would go again in a heartbeat. If you love polish food, this is the place for you!

YUM! Authentic and delicious. Zurek is AMAZING! Service is great and did I say the pierogi is the best you’ll ever have? So sad this place has been closed for the last few months as they had a new baby arrival! I look every day as I pass by. I’m hoping they reopen soon. What a great menu and the prices are extremely reasonable. If you think you don’t l like Polish food, you will after eating here. Next time I’ll post some photos- because there is always a next time! They still haven’t reopens after maybe a year. We all miss this place🥲

I’m so happy that they reopened. The food is homemade and delicious! I can’t wait to come back with my kids. Kielbasa is meaty and juicy. The perogies and cabbage roll are yummy. I am not a fan of pasties but this was so good! One of my favorite restaurants here in Northern Michigan.

We were lucky and arrived when they was no wait to get a table for lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious and authentic: pierogi, bigos, and rissole with potato dumplings. Excellent service, value, and food.

I love this spot! I never knew I'd be a polish food fan and was introduced to this place years ago on my first trip to Petoskey. I've been three times since and love the sample platter (which you will be encouraged to try if you are a first time guest), the Ruben, and the polish bean soup. My wife is not a soup fan and she ate half the bowl - that's how good the soup was! You gotta check this place out.

What a great restaurant, family owned and run, for home cooked Polish comfort food. We were greeted and served by the friendly staff. The pierogis, my wife ordered, were packed full of flavor. She couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the Bigos stew and was served a big bowl of it I enjoyed it immensely. The pork, kielbasa and carrots smothered by the sauerkraut was beyond delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. The smokiness of the kielbasa, meatiness of pork and sweetness of carrots works well with the sauerkraut. An amazing gem of a restaurant. Well worth stopping by for delicious Polish food.

The guest are taken care of very well by staff, who like to joke every now and then. Excellent place!

Family run authentic Polski cuisine. Their hours are a little tight right now with labor shortages, so we got there about 5 for early dinner. Pierogi of course, potato pancakes, pork schnitzel with dumplings..and even crepe thingies too all delicious. I really mean family run we ate while one guy takes orders over the phone in person and run food to tables...a customer asked why they close early and he explain its just the 3 of us .. 😲. High level of respect for putting out quality and keeping it going with such small team, Babcia is proud

Best polish food around. Legs Inn may be more well known but this is the place for the best tasting polish food. Pricing is very reasonable too.

Delicious!! My husband’s family is Polish, and this was the first authentic Polish food he has had in 20 years. The pierogies were so good! My husband said they tasted exactly like the ones his grandma used to make. My favorite were the potato-cheese pierogies. The kielbasa was also really good, and I’m not usually a sausage fan. We had 3 crepes for dessert, and the strawberry was my favorite. The cost was very reasonable, and the guy who took our order and brought us our food was extremely nice and helpful. Overall a fantastic experience for Polish food!

What a treasure! The food at this restaurant is amazing. We had a little wait for our food in a group of 6 due to covid staffing issues, but it was well worth it. Everyone loved what they ordered. Pictured here is the goulash with potato pancakes. The taste and temperature were both perfect. Highly recommend.

Pierogies are soooo good! The best.

We love the pierogies! We also like the schnitzel and cabbage rolls, but the pierogies are the best. We like to get several varieties. The owners and staff are very friendly too, and make very helpful suggestions if anyone has questions. It's definitely a place to visit when in the Harbor Springs-Petoskey area.

We ordered Schnitzel, pierogi, cabbage role and it was all tasty. We will definitely order here again when in the area.

Best polish food this side of Poland!

Delicious! We have been here a couple of times and really enjoyed the food. The price is very reasonable and you get large portions. I recommend the Kings Feast platter for a taste of everything that can easily be shared with two people on it's own.

I’ve been meaning to try Polish Kitchen for years now, but every opportunity was on a Sunday when they are closed. Today on a Tuesday during our long drive back from the yoop, we made a stop here. I read some of the reviews and after eating my food, I have no idea how anyone could think this isn’t authentic homemade Polish food. My grandparents were Polish. I lived in very polish areas of Detroit. This is some of the best polish food I’ve had and it definitely tastes homemade and each pierogi/other items is slightly differently shaped showing it’s hand craftsmanship (unlike frozen mrs. T’s that’s cookie cutter). Anyways, like I said, this was some of the best Polish food I’ve had (don’t tell my babcia, she’d be jealous that it’s better than hers). Everything was steaming hot, fresh and delicious. The potato dumplings were superb. Customer service was very good too! Due to the order for COVID, their dining room is closed, but the young gentleman that took our order also brought our food out to our car. He was very kind and helpful with the menu. We enjoyed our visit to Polish Kitchen and will definitely return in the future!

The first time we visited we were taken aback by the family atmosphere. The staff was beyond friendly. Then we tasted the food and was amazed! We even had them cater our wedding a year later and got incredible reviews from guests. The owner went above and beyond for us and really took pride in his food and service. It was a great experience working with him.
