I called up and ordered two racks of ribs and 2-6 packs for pulled pork sandwiches. I said i’ll be there in 5 mins! When I got there it was all bud done and wrapped up. Great service, chowing down now and can say good food! Don’t hesitate !!

Best BBQ in the bay. I've been coming here since they opened about a decade ago. Good food great deals.

Poppa's BBQ shack is absolutely fantastic in every way. The aroma and flavor are simply delicious, no doubt about it. The establishment is spotless, the staff is friendly and efficient – these folks are genuine pros. I tried the special, and it was perfectly priced, and the two sides of ribs complemented the smoked flavor perfectly. Wow, I highly recommend this place!

Great spot. Best BBQ in Florida. Had the sandwich and two ribs. Sandwich had little to no fat (not like other places) ribs were fall off the bone dry rub. Can't beat the price and the crew their was friendly and order was up in minutes. If you love BBQ this is the place.

Bbq sauce was good, ribs were dry as hell though. And there was hair in the potato salad and Sides are hardly seasoned. Heard great things about this place, but its just mediocre.

I'm so glad I gave this place another chance. This food definitely hits the spot today. Last time I came, was closer to closing time, so they were out of the ribs, I opted for a pork sandwich, it was alright, but nothing to rave about, was kinda disappointed bc all the great reviews. So today I got the pork and rib plate, and maybe bc this time I got there earlier, the pork isnt dried out, and I was able to get ribs and omg I'm in heaven right now. This is definitely tasty BBQ Thanks guys 😊🫶🏼

I have never been a barbecue person. And that's probably because I've never been able to find good barbecue. That changed when I found Poppa's BBQ. They do it the right way, low and slow with a dry rub, Memphis style. They open at 10:30 but there's usually somebody waiting for the doors to open and sometimes a line so get there early. I definitely recommend calling ahead because they usually run out of food by 1:30 or 2:00. The pulled pork was amazing, but my favorite hands down is there ribs. The meat almost melts in your mouth. I want to point out their House made BBQ sauce, it's the first one I've come across that isn't loaded down with sugar. I definitely recommend them, whether you like barbecue or not you won't be disappointed. Also I want to point out that they are very highly recommended on TripAdvisor. I definitely give Poppa's five stars!

Great place for quick BBQ. Someone told me about this place with limited hours but great BBQ. We had a rack of ribs and they were delicious and a nice size with lots of meat. Pulled pork sandwich was good, but a little less fat would make it nicer. Cash only, we will be back to try the sides.

I’m a former local that left for the military 30 years ago. I live in the Deep South now and have had some awesome BBQ. Came home to visit family and a friend challenged me to eat here. Poppa’s is fantastic. No wonder it sells out. Their sandwich melts in your mouth. I want to eat more but I’m going to explode. Sooooo gooooood!!!

I am the supervisor of a local business and wanted to treat the employees to lunch on Thursday. (15 employees). I accidentally put the order in for Friday. When I showed up on Thursday to pick my order up, it obviously was not ready. The folks behind the counter assured me this was not a problem and they could fill my order quickly. Even though they had a line to the door, they still had my order ready in about 15 minutes. What life savers. I might also mention that every employee had the same thing to say: WOOOW, that was amazing.

Simple bbq place with good food and priced so reasonably! Meat, two sides, and a drink for 2 people for under $20! Not a lot of variety but good for what they offer! Clean restrooms a plus. Also, may be interested....no fountain drinks, just bottled drinks.

No greens. I had to do a double take of the menu with disbelief. The ribs, pulled pork, and sauces were all on point.

This has to be the best BBQ in clearwater. The ribs are perfectly cooked with a seasonings that you really don't need any sauce. The chicken was amazing it was nice and juicy. This is where their homemade BBQ sauce came in to knock it out of the park. The pulled pork was good as well. The sides tasted okay, the BBQ is what's makes this place special.

Wow! You have got to try this BBQ joint, best pulled pork for MILES. Sauce was perfect, beans were perfect. The prices are so good that it feels like stealing. They did mention that prices are going up at the first of the year so get in quick and give it a try, you will be hooked. They could double the prices and it would still be a good deal! Bravo, keep it up Poppa's BBQ. I would make the 40 minute drive from home for this any day of the week.

Very good bbq. I always get the jumbo special for $12. Chopped chicken or pulled pork, comes with 2 ribs and a drink. Can't beat it. They also have sides for an upcharge. Get there earlier than noon or later because the line is always out the door at lunch time. But the staff is very good at getting food out quickly and prepared to order.

Only place in Pinellas that has good bbq. Yes their sides might not be homemade but I’m here for the protein…

Been there abt 5 times Great ribs Until the last time If you want burned up ribs, this is the place. The garbage bin is big enough for you to throw your whole order away It would be acceptable in a gas station, or a 10-12$ order. Not here for what, 25+$?

Bare bones kind of place. Great ribs great pulled pork wish they did brisket.

Delicious! Fast, friendly, reasonable. Absolutely love the ribs but the chicken breasts are to die for. The sauce is great but you don't need it. So much flavor on the meats! INTENSE!!! Head here once a week.

I would saw I love a good hole in the wall place. Where is located not in the most ideal place and the hours aren’t the best but let me do tell the brisket samich. Ohhhhhhh boy on point. If you looking for a good lunch spot to pick up and go this is it. I was in and out I want to say within 5 minutes. Sides were good and food was on point. If you in the area stop by and get you a samich. It’s worth the time

So i thought id try it here again the 1st time was ok had the pulled chicken .. today we tried the pulled pork it was real fatty my 1st bite i had to spit out.. im real picky about that .. and the 1st bite always tells u how good it is.. and the bun wasnt toasted jus a regular hamburger bun and soggy at that.. the pulled pork was also way over cooked smushy texture to it..soft like cornbeef.. not that good today.. i didnt finish my sandwich very dissapointing

Absolutely delicious! Pulled pork sandwich, loaded with tender meat. The ribs had a great smoky taste. Two BBQ sauces, one hot (but not too hot). Both complimented the meats. The ribs were so good we took a rack home with us for dinner tomorrow night.

I drove by this place so many times when I had to make a Delivery.. Today was the first time I tried them.. I'm so happy I did.. If I could give them 10 stars I would.. I usually go to Sonny's BBQ.. And I never get big pieces of chicken from them.. Sonny's can't hold this place Poppa's jock on a good Day.. The pieces of chicken they gave me were so big.. I couldn't finish it.. I had to put it in my refrigerator for later on tonight when I get done work.. I Definitely recommend this place if you want good BBQ and a good deal for a good price 😊👍

Poppa's is so delicious I honestly almost do not want to give it a good review just because I don't want people to overcrowd it and make it more super busy then it already is when I go eat there. But truthfully, I love eating there all the time!

Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had, I love their daily special. Went two days in a row. Their brownies are amazing! Very friendly staff too. My favorite part is their original bbq sauce, 100% recommend coming here.

No frills BBQ. Large portions, just few side choices. Stick with the "special", never changes: pulled pork sandwich and some ribs. Add a side of beans and you're good to go!

Flavor of the meat was good the sauce is what makes it a little better. Is close to UVA so is convenient if you are visiting the campus.

Only went here because the Rib Shack was closed. It was OK. They didn't have ribs only the pulled pork, chicken and two small boney ribs w lunch special.

I came from Pinellas Park to try something new. It was worth it. Price was gd. Ppl r super nice. Only thing did not eat was the sweet potato salad. I'm not big on food made sweet. Will gd again.
