This is the best bar in the Hilton hotel. Great classy atmosphere and the bar tenders are sooooooo awesome!!! Will miss this bar when I leave.

After a long day in the heat and sun, dragging kids around the city; my husband and I enjoyed a night cap in the lounge. Great selection, and Neyda was awesome; super helpful! If we find ourselves in NOLA again, we’ll stop back for sure!

The atmosphere and vibe of this bar is great but what made it my favorite spot to grab a drink was single handedly their bartender, Marlee. Her skill behind the bar, passion for her craft, attention to detail in her service, and knowledge of her trade was absolutely magnetizing. Marlee made my first drink, a Sazerac cocktail, when I got into town which started me on a mission to find the best one in New Orleans. Every single drink that I had in New Orleans that was not made by her hand left me wanting and paled in comparison while hers consistently set the bar. I cannot sing her praises enough and as long as she’s behind the bar I highly recommend the Public Belt. The only disappointment I had with the Public Belt was not seeing Marlee behind the bar while she was at orientation.

Nice cocktails and friendly service. Unfortunately they did not have the syrup for one of the cocktails on the menu that we wanted to try but our back-up cocktail was alright.

AB and Neyta are the best! This is such a hidden gem you need to visit while visiting New Orleans. Beautiful and fun cocktail bar tucked in the Hilton hotel. 10/10

Neyda, behind the bar, made me smile. She was just as sweet as juice and she also poured me some bourbon that I never thought I'd have a chance to have. The prices were half of what they'd charge anywhere else I've ever seen them. An absolute must for a bourbon lover. From Pappy to Eagle Rare to Elmer T. Lee. They've got it all.

Exceptional old fashioned! It's smoked in a unique way. Service is friendly and accommodating. Come here, don't even think of the generic bar downstairs!

After a long day walking around NOLA, eating, shopping, and stopping at coffee shops, we came back to our hotel, Hilton Riverwalk. We heard piano music coming from Pubic Belt bar; it's on the second floor. Wow! It looked very inviting. It's definitely a great place to wind down and enjoy the late evening. My server Neyda was the absolute best. She’s really a sweet heart.. she met all of my drink needs … both bartenders are actually nice. The bar is beautiful o enjoyed the vibe I will be coming back 💙

OMG, me and my girlfriend visited Public Belt New Orleans right after Essence in July 2023. Mrs. Inga and Ms. Neyda were the BEST bartenders! Very professional and polite. It definitely had us coming back the next day just because of the vibe! I wish you both much success and continued happiness… Oh and the drinks were excellent, I’m now a bourbon drinker 😊

Yummy cocktails and great service! It’s wonderful to meet bartenders who love what they do, and Inga and Neyda were delightful. They recommend new cocktails they were working up for summer - ask for the Gin Sin, it’s soo good - and lightened up a long day.

I love a good Prohibition Bar! I've been coming to this hotel for years and this place has never been open, so tonight was a treat! T.H.E. best handmade cocktails ever! I wish we had started the night here rather than ended it. I will absolutely visit again! It made my client list of "must visit" places!

Fabulous drinks inside the Hilton Riverside!

My wife and I were extremely impressed by the Public Belt, specifically our bartender Michael. The quality of the cocktails were spot on. Michael is an engaging bartender who knows his stuff. It was amazing watching him create each drink. The first night we told him want we wanted but on our next three visits we trusted Michael enough that we requested he use his knowledge to make us something we would like. Observing him work was compelling. He would pull various items from different places to mix into the liquid pleasure we continue to discuss with each other. Our visit to New Orleans had several highlights and the quality and customer service provided by Michael definitely made our visit memorable. Thanks again Michael and the Public Belt!

When you've spent over a decade managing hotels you tend to avoid hotel restaurants and bars. I'm really glad that I stopped by anyway. Tell them what you like and they'll create something amazing for you. I had an amazing spin on a negroni with hibiscus and a coconut margarita. I usually hate coconut in drinks and I'm not a very big fan of tequila but I would definitely have both of these quite often if I could. Phenomenal service and amazing drinks!

The Entire staff was Great. However, Darrien the Bartender gave unprecedented service, and amazing drinks. The Hurricanes were a close match to Pat O'Brien's in my book. The Homemade potato chips were also a tasty treat to pair with your drinks. Even if you're not staying at The Hilton Riverside please stop in and enjoy this little hidden gem right underneath your nose. We'll definitely be back.

Good atmosphere, much better than other bar in hotel. The (bad) food knocks a star off but you shouldn't come here to eat anyway.

Public Belt is a craft bar inspired by the long slow sound of the nightly NOLA Public Belt railroad. I stayed at The Hilton New Orleans Riverside during a conference and returned a week later during Essence Fest because of Public Belt mixologist, Ian. Go see Ian! He goes above and beyond. It’s hard to pinpoint one thing, but I definitely appreciate a craftsman who is respectful of each customer’s taste and level of sophistication. He’s an asset!

I fell in love with the public belt our first night in New Orleans. David, my main man and bartender, made me a “dealer’s choice” and I was all in. Out of all the places to visit in New Orleans, we kept coming back to see David and enjoy his specialty cocktails. He also knows his wine! I highly recommend the Public Belt for its staff and it’s vibe. You won’t be disappointed.

Located on the 2nd floor of the Hilton with a great vibe. Much more relaxing spot and it’s bright noisy neighbour in the lobby. Snack menu is limited, but all the classic cocktails including the famous New Orleans Hurricane are great!

After walking the French quarter for several days during our visit, we ended up stopping here on our last night. The friendly expertise of Tabatha and David had us wishing we had stopped here sooner, or had another day. Soothing live entertainment in an exceptionally clean atmosphere was just what we needed, and the drink suggestions from David had our energy levels restored. Look forward to our next visit when this place will be first on our list.

GO SEE DAVID. If you do the “Dealer’s Choice,” he will blow your mind! This bartender is a mega-fan of that mixologist.

The atmosphere is better than the main bar downstairs. The cocktail are charmingly described and well made. Would rate 5 stars but there wasn't live music tonight so the music was turned up a little louder than is easy to make conversation, and the bass was turned up higher than the sound system could comfortably manage. However; it is lit well, allowing for a relaxed and nostalgic ambiance without being too dark to see where you are walking. The staff was friendly and helpful as well, but it just missed a little of that "wow" factor.
