We stopped by on a trip to Lake Skaneateles and were blown away by the diversity and quality of styles offered. Everything was fantastic. The owners were incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions related to the brewing process, and were gracious and welcoming. It is clear that much love and precision is put into the craft. I cannot recommend this place enough! The best brewery I’ve been to in a long while.

By far my favorite upstate NY brewery thus far. Belgain styled like many others in CNY, but very small and cozy. We visited on an extra snowy day which only added to the hominess. The ambiance and decor is very belgian and farmhouse driven, most if not all of their ingredients are locally sourced which only adds to the appeal for me. They pull away from most modern craft breweries in that they don't produce the typical IPAs which aim to achieve the highest ABV and skunkiest citrusy flavor.

Stop by while we were neat Syracuse. As other reviews, a hidden gem. These are not your normal ales. More old world and the owners are very passionate about their craft and it shows as they take the time to explain their brewing process. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Just came in after hearing great things about this place. Was very disappointed by the service - came in and it was basically empty and still had to wait a few minutes for service which wasn’t a huge deal. When we got our beer, they were neutral, but when they were closing and we were leaving they had warm thanks for the other couple’s business and when we said goodbye, they said absolutely nothing to us. How rude. Do better.

Probably the best local brewery around. Each drink has a story, and they're all amazing. Hosts are spectacular and very engaged in their craft.

The beer here is absolutely outstanding! It's in its own class and by far the best in the area (if not the US) That said, we don't go as often as we'd like for a few reasons. First, do NOT go hungry. The food is in such a high contrast to the quality of the beer as to be completely ignored. So there will be no snacks with our magical beers. And the second is that the proprietors are eccentric and though we usually like that, there's an edge to them that is...well...not relaxing. For instance, we were on the way back from a hike and had our dogs with us on a beautiful day. They have a couple of picnic tables set up outside on the lawn, and a few chairs. Hubby went inside and ordered beers and I got the dogs out of the car (two under 20 pounders) and sat at a table in an otherwise mostly empty space (one other couple was there). When the man brought the beers out he said we can't have our dogs there. And added that it's "because the health dept doesn't allow it because we serve "food." Maybe he just doesn't know any better or maybe he thought saying it deferred blame to the government instead of them just not being dog friendly, but the beers were bought and we had to chug them down because the dogs were now back in the car. Awkward and disappointing! FYI Crazy Daisies cafe just down the road is dog friendly and full of dogs inside and out so it's just plain not true. It's their business and they can do what they want, but we'd be there a lot more (like a LOT) if they were warmer and even more so if they were dog friendly. CDs is PACKED every opening hour I believe in no small part because dog ppl love to have their dogs with them, especially on the weekends. And lastly, the hours of Red Hawk are super constricted - open three days a week and closing early on weekends. It's a bummer because we would love to see them rocket to stardom on their excellent brews. I guess when you're that good, you can do whatever the hell you want and ppl need to like it or lump it. 🤷

Great mix of old European style recipes. Almost nothing on the beer menu was something I have seen before but everything was excellent. The owners were friendly and informative, you can tell they have passion for their craft. The nordic alpine mint beer was my favorite, so much so that I bought a growler. I will be back here again soon.

My partner and I just left red hawk after a few hours of just talking with the owners about business, family, life stories, etc and having a few beers. The owners are very nice, humble, informative and just all around good vibes. They have outdoor seating and inside seating with games! Very big and spacious on the inside as well. We had a great experience and im 100% you will too! :) Will definitely be coming back!

PERFECT brewery experience. We spent a Saturday afternoon at Red Hawk sampling Belgian inspired beers and enjoying a charcuterie board inside a beautifully designed space. We met the owners and appreciated the personal touches they put into the brewery. It was explained how different their brewery was compared to bigger commercial ventures, and how the brewing process followed recipes passed down from relatives. It was a pleasure to see a local business succeed in a mission crafted by passion for the trade.

They feature Belgium style ales. More closely to Old World & Farmhouse brewing. The ales have a bit more tartness to them than I am use to. The owners were so nice and very knowledgeable about their craft. Well worth the visit.

We were in the neighborhood & decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The beers were delicious & tart, just what we were looking for. They have chess, checkers, etc to play on the tables. And a few options for food! The owners (?) were very informative on the beers and you could tell they really care! If you’re looking for a chill, small brewery with good drinks, this is it!

This is one of my favorite breweries, I make a point to visit every time I come to see family. The beers are incredible and unique, and the owners are very nice and hospitable. I always take growlers home to Brooklyn for my "beer" friends to try, there's nothing close to this place in the city. It's a real gem and highly recommend!

Out of the hundreds of breweries I have been to all over the world, this one stands out. I am writing this review years after I had originally visited but seeing a Red Hawk growler in my closet prompted this review. This place is outstanding. No where else will the brewmaster serve you the beer they have brewed, expertly paired with tapas, and then tell you a personal story about each beer, if you are lucky. The woman who brews the beer is a genius and extremely humble. The way she describes how her grandmother taught her these brewing techniques from her old country are incredible. I am sure she tells these stories all the time, but it always feels like you are the first one hearing it. Completely genuine people and amazing beer. You NEED TO GO.

Amazing brewery. These brewers know their stuff. They love what they do and have a ton of pride in their product and it shows in every beer you taste. If you like IPA's, this really isn't your brewery. However, if you love good, original artisanal craft beers, this is for you. They offer some very old European styles that are not your run of the mill beers. Even if you think you know the style, the beers here have a different spin. There is nothing run of the mill about the beers here.

Excellent beers in very different styles than you tend to find here. Beers are European styled and still have a huge variety. Very friendly owner. Beer is often made in small batches and taps seem to change every week, but always at least one beer for everyone's taste.
