The BEST bbq! Everything I’ve tried there has been amazing. Moist, tender brisket, and fantastic sides.

Brisket is all that matters in Texas BBQ world and they had it on point. Will be back!

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant while visiting the homestead heritage. Food was incredible, some of the best brisket I’ve ever had (which is saying a lot considering I’m not a huge BBQ fan). The service was so wonderful, truly some of the kindest people who own and operate this place. Definitely pay it a visit if you’re ever in the Waco area! (Pictured is the loaded baked potato, and my friends got the haystack and loaded Mac and also loved their food!)

Beans are a little too salty but the hospitality simply can't be beat! We will be back for sure!

Family owned and run, with excellent customer service. Brisket was excellent, sausage was even better. Potato salad- top notch. They were sold out of a couple of things, but we know to go early next time. Sadly, no banana pudding left, but they saved me from myself. We will be back.

Great BBQ and very nice people. I went on Thursday at 7pm and it was very chill. I can imagine this place being loud when it’s busy though.

BEST BBQ IN WACO - WORTH THE DRIVE. (There is plenty of indoor seating.) Red Wagon is just a little past Homestead Heritage and has everything a great BBQ joint should have. The owner, Michael, is excited to greet his customers after spending all day making tender and flavor- infused meats. The sides are on-point. It’s obvious everything is scratch made since each side is like its own flavor bomb. The mac and cheese is made with real cheese. The beans are by far the best pinto beans I’ve had in years. The coleslaw is crisp with hints of cilantro and without globs of mayo. The coleslaw is made with dill and pairs well with the salty, savory meats. And, the banana pudding is made with real whipped cream. The hospitality is so good that you’ll not want to leave!

We went and had no problems. We watched the lady slice it right then and there from the larger part. The pricing seemed fair especially paying more at other local spots. They did offer tips when paying and I really don't like that practice. You order at the counter they prep it right there and you grab a drink and seat where you want. You clean up after yourself. The service was great and the ladies working the days we went were super nice. She spoke to us and extremely friendly. She remember us from visiting other locations they are tied to over the years. Food tasted good. My husband liked the potato salad and said it tasted fresh. I don't eat it so I don't know if that is helpful or not. We went just before dinner rush and it wasn't too busy yet. The building has a good amount of seating, parking is also ample. It seems clean and there is an ice cream freezer for frozen treats.

So delicious. We got the bbq bowl with the fritos and the 3 meat plate with brisket, sausage and turkey with Mac and cheese and beans. Hubby also got banana pudding. Everything was delicious, we will definitely be back.

Best BBQ in McLennan County. Our favorite place. Brisket and sausage are excellent. All the sides are wonderful and the banana pudding is the best in the world. Love the BBQ Bowl.

Stopped in and saw they had a burger on the menu. Since we already knew this place to have AMAZING bbq, we tried the spicy and sweet burger. It was absolutely amazing! What a neat little gem of a place this is! We will be regulars!

Brisket and Wagyu sausage today was a great choice. 👍 The crew puts their love behind the BBQ. Excellent sides. I recommend the potato salad and okra.

My husband and I enjoyed the Delicious tender savory brisket with a side of beans and coleslaw. Absolutely the best BBQ favors on a hot summer day.

This is not Texas bar b que! Nothing close to it. Potato salad is the pits also. Also when you order a bar b que sandwich to go and unwrap it at home and it is chopped bar b que from the day before is WRONG! The people are fake . Women working and men standing around. Not the way a real Texan was brought up!

A delightful, off the beaten path, small family owned BBQ restaurant. I got the the brisket tacos..amazing! My husband got the BBQ bowl. He really liked it. And then some delicious banana pudding to finish off a great lunch. The owner and the young lady who helped us were very friendly. We will definitely be back when we make back to Waco again.

This place has some of the best BBQ in central Texas, especially the brisket and beef ribs.

Decided to take a drive to get out of the house and came upon this establishment. A great family business that has exceptional food , service and most importantly a genuine friendliness ! Had BBQ brisket and a chicken thigh that was full of smoke flavor as well as great seasoning and very tender. If you add sauce to the meat you will be cheating your taste buds out of a wonderful experience. The sides of choice for me were coleslaw and beans which were very flavorful. I intended not to have a dessert, but when I seen banana pudding I could not resist. It was creamy with the right amount of sweetness that was not over sweet.

Everything is delicious! And the bread is as amazing as the BBQ! Lots of flavor and freshness. And the folks running the place are very kind! I’m so glad this is on my home.

We were just riding our motorcycles out to a bike rally in Somerville. Just happened to come across the red wagon bbq. It was the best brisket I have ever eaten. The owner and his people are absolutely the best.

My parents, son, and I went to this spot for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious! The brisket was well seasoned and tender. The mac & cheese was the best I’ve ever eaten. And the bread was my favorite! I love that it wasn’t sweet. It was more tangy and spicy. 10/10 would recommend this place!

Just ate there for the first time & I'm happy we chose to eat there. Brisket was so good. Mac & cheese tastes amazing! Cole slaw has a great fresh taste. We will be going back. Thank you, Michael for serving us!!

5 Star. Incredible taste, great sides, and the beef ribs on Saturday are absolutely incredible. The mac n' cheese, beans, and fried jalapeños all fight for the best side dish in my opinion. So far tried brisket, waygu beef ribs, and chicken. Will definitely be back

2 plates or so called plates had two ribs 2 can sodas and a pudding it was 60 dollars don't know how but anyways

So delicious. I’m not an overly sweet bbq type of girl, so this bbq was perfect. We will definitely come back when we come back to Waco. The brisket tacos and fried jalapeños (and ranch) were so so good. Service was great. All people there were giving and friendly!

Awesome bbq. Brisket was tender and fall apart. Sausage and turkey tasted great too. Coleslaw and beans were amazing as well. Super friendly for our party of 4 adults and 3 kids.

The brisket is the best I have ever had and would give Franklin’s a run for its money. Mac and cheese was amazing and the beans, let’s just say my momma would have been impressed. The pit master and his little daughter made it an even more special visit.

We visited our mother and decided to go here for lunch. FANTASTIC! We all said the best we've had. Brisket, sausage, potato salad, coleslaw, Mac, fried okra. Absolutely, slap yo'mama banana Pudding!!! We WILL be returning, just not soon enough.

Traveling through Waco for work and stopped by here after searching for some BBQ joints, and I chose this place.. so glad that I did! I had the brisket & turkey 2 meat plate, with beans and Mac. I will say that it was one of the best lunches I have ever had at a small roadside joint. Everything was awesome, even the Mac n cheese, which usually tastes like paste, it had a great flavor with just a hint of tanginess! Will bookmark this place and return as much as work will allow me! Currently open Friday for lunch and Saturdays. Beef ribs only on Saturday which made me sad.

First time in Waco and this was the first restaurant me and my girlfriend stopped at. Really good meats and great mac n cheese! Tried the brisket and sausage and they were both very tasty. It was the first day at their new location as well. Great service and great atmosphere!

My wife had the brisket and I had brisket and chicken. Both meats were excellent and the BBQ sauce was tasty. The beans and potato salad were great.

Absolutely the best brisket! My favorite is the Haystack sandwich! They’re opening in a building just up the road very soon so will have weatherproof seating soon!

This is the best barbecue I've ever had besides my mom's. For reference, I have lived in Texas all my life, so that is saying something. The brisket was so good and lean - I was very impressed. My family all had the BBQ bowl which sounds like a hodgepodge of food and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good too. Best of all the service was amazing! The family who ran it was prompt, courteous and had amazing overall customer service.

I'm not normally a fan of bbq, but my husband is so we stopped here. It was amazing. Very tender meat with lots of flavor. I got the sausage with potato salad and mac and cheese. All of it was delicious. The owner was very friendly.

First time in Waco and I’m happy that we discovered this local BBQ restaurant right next to the Homestead Market! Red Wagon BBQ shares the same parking lot with the Homestead Market and the Quilt Shop, so parking is easy and the location is great. The BBQ food truck is pretty cute and they also have plenty of outdoor (shaded) seatings right next to their food trucks. I love the fact that they make so much efforts on decorating their dining space, and I recommend taking a cute pic of/with your BBQ right in front of the RW welcome wall. A very Texan vibe sure 🤠 Our plan was to order a brisket + sausage combo but the sausage was sold out by the time we ordered, so the server offered us all briskets. The owners are all very friendly and sweet. They’re very yummy, juicy and tender. Will definitely coming back to try their sausage 😋

I had the brisket/sausage combo and it was excellent. It was some of the best and most tender brisket I have had. The Mac and cheese was very good also. I highly recommend Red Wagon BBQ.

My husband and I tried this little “Red Wagon” on a Friday afternoon-it was fantastic! Exceeded my expectations.😊 Michael was super nice and wanted to make sure we were completely happy with our food, which we were. Tasted like good Texas BBQ-moist and delicious 😋. One more good reason to live in Texas. Lol

Enjoyed my meal there. I think it’s under new owners. Tried their chopped brisket bowl, kinda like the Viteks Gut Pac (for Waco fans). It was great taste, value and was fresh and moist.

Got there early and had great brisket hot off the grill in short order. Drinks are canned or bottled and it's picnic style dining under a screened in porch area, so nothing fancy. Bit pricey for the venue a fare, but good non the less.
