Food is awesome, Ruby is by far the best personality In the building. Service is good from all the servers, but Ruby and that smile and bubbly disposition is enough to turn a bad day into a better day!! The menu.....you can't go wrong. Everything is delicious and made to order. Hands down the best.

The food is great, and the staff are wonderful.

The price were on the high side but the food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast.

My little cute server was really nice and fast, but the ladies in the back were absolutely Rude laughing at my server, I sat right in front of the kitchen came in at 3:00 order a Chicken parm my meat was not cook all the way. I didnt want to send it back was afraid the kitchen ladies would do something to my food. But over all my experience here was good had a nice welcoming !

Spaghetti with chicken parm special $14.99 was really good. The reuben for $11.99 was good but the waitress neglected to tell my husband the salad was an upcharge of .99, she only asked what side do you want. The fries would have been no extra charge

This has always been a great place to eat with our family. Good selection of food and the atmosphere is not loud. The servers are very friendly and accommodating.

Nice place. Can have a conversation as it's not overly crowded with tables. Breakfast was cooked well and all three of us ordered food and orders were timely and tasted just fine. It's a family restaurant that has been around a long time. Read the back of the menu's note from the family and you'll appreciate a little more what at means.

Can’t believe I have been living in Lakeland for years and finally came here for breakfast. Where have I been?? Lol!! I had the pecan pancakes and they were soooo tasty!! Didn’t have anything left on the plate. The sausage and bacon were cooked perfectly!Our server was very polite and accommodated our needs. I will definitely be back!!

Ordered the turkey and dressing. Told the server I preferred white meat. She said it was mixed with dark but I would get mostly white. Wrong, told her I wasn’t happy with the dish. She got the manager. The server wasn’t the best but you get what get these days. The manager said that it couldn’t be separated. Didn’t offer a discount or anything. Just walked away. The dinner was $16. Not a fan nor am I going back.

The food was good. The waitress was a little aloof. They don't have a kids menu. The waitress had to go check the computer to even make sure of what they made for kids. They had a Mickey mouse pancake and that was it. This diner is not the best for families with young children. It's more attuned for older people.

Not the quality of Meals I remember this restaurant for. Poor all around broiled chicken, and club sandwiches. Fries were so, so but you could detect need to change fryer oil. Three sandwiches and water, plus side salads = $60. Definitely not worth it.

Very loud place. They had booths open but we were made to sit at a table and it wasn't busy. We almost left but decided to stay because the food is good.

There is indisputable evidence that you have an employee that thinks it’s ok to use slurs against the disabled community. This is not ok. I don’t think it’s going to represent your business very well after this is blasted all over the internet. She deals with the public, this is NOT ok. Do not ignore this!!

Stop in a few days ago for a late lunch- food was delicious and came quick! Our waitress, Miss Bonnie was absolutely amazing! So kind and loving, just all around fantastic!

I have never had someone wait on me as rude as the lady did when I was here. I don’t remember her name, I believe it started with a B, but she was very inconsiderate of us and rushed my fiancé and I. I do not recommend this place at all!!!

The fact there are people leaving 1/5 star reviews for a woman that works to provide for her family and that depends on this job for her livelihood is absolutely disgusting!! One- I am sure the owners of the establishment do not want actual customers basing their opinions off of a bunch of lonely desperate women who are bullying a girl and her mother. Two- half of you bullying this woman’s mother and harassing her place of employment can’t even spell and use words like “was” instead of “were” so it shows how intelligent half of these so called women are. All in all, if you are a customer of this restaurant please take all reviews lightly as this is how easy it is for bad reviews to be made. This is a great restaurant to visit and have a bite to eat and the waitresses are all deserving of their jobs and your business. I’m sorry “women” find it necessary to waste time leaving nasty reviews at a place of employment instead of applying to a place of employment or even taking a much needed grammar class.

My family loves country style cooking! I heard they have breakfast, country fried steak to Burgers! We will be in the area first week of May, can’t wait to take the kids and go get some good food and friendly staff!! Bonnie were coming for you!! Can’t wait and see you soon °o°

My grandma lives in FL so we try to visit as much as possible. This diner is amazing! The service is top notch. I HIGHLY recommend Bonnie. She was soo sweet and provided exceptional service!

Omelette was rubbery greasy, in fact, everything was greasy. hash brown that wasn’t very toasted look like it was previously frozen, well it was all in all a very unpleasant breakfast. My husband‘s waffle look like it had been cooked and not crispy. Of course, when the very sweet waitress kindly asked us how everything was I foolishly said excellent I don’t know why we feel compelled to respond so quickly If course perhaps it was too soon after we got our food I thought maybe I’d give the food a chance, but so that’s our fault. We should’ve said something at the very beginning

I had the grilled pork chop with 3 veggies and cornbread. The veggies were great pork chop nit so great. It was kinda tough. I'll be back again I'll just order something else.

Spent a great evening enjoying the delicious food and wonderful service from our friendly waitress Ruby. Two of the three in our party opted with the burger and they were outstanding. Bun was fresh as well as the toppings and both were very happy with their choice. Also tried a cup of the broccoli cheddar soup, which made a good way to start the meal. I chose the fried chicken dinner and was happy I did. The chicken was crispy and moist and was served with three sides and the house cornbread. We finished with a piece of house made egg custard pie. Delicious 😋 Thank you again Ruby for the professional, efficient and fun service you gave with a smile. Prices were reasonable and we will be returning

Food is great here!! We had a fairly new waitress named Bonnie and she was excellent and very friendly..So if you come here ask for Bonnie and you will have great service!!!

It's loud on the weekends, but it a Lakeland staple and it is the only place I can get decent liver and onions for my mom. I'm a fan of the southern fried steak.

Been eating at Reececliff for 70+ years --a native Lakelander. Knew 1st owners well. Still a top-notch family restaurant w/healthy cuisine & homemade pies, delicious. A favorite hangout for Lakeland High students to gather after school for cokes & pie or shakes, fries, etc....Keep it going for 70+ more years!

This is a review of the Reesecliff family diner. I wanted to like this place so much because our guests had talked so greatly about it and wanted to bring us there as a special meal. Unfortunately I would not return. I was asked if I would like cornbread with my meal and I said yes and received none. I was asked what kind of dressing I would like for my salad and when I said ranch I was brought out honey mustard. That would all be fine if the waitress had come back a few times to ask if everything was okay which it wasn't. I had the pot roast which was the special of the evening and I paid extra for a side of mashed potatoes and a side of green beans. The green beans came out piping hot and well seasoned in a small dish, the mashed potatoes came out barely at room temperature with zero flavoring and taste and appear to be of instant variety. My biggest concern was the pot roast that came out barely at room temperature not even warm and had almost no flavoring also. One of our party members asked for chicken fried chicken and they brought out chicken fried steak which they did admit was wrong and our guest said that was fine. Another person at our table ordered fish and was brought out chicken to which they just sat there and ate it and said nothing. Two other individuals at the table also looked not impressed at the mashed potatoes that they were brought out because they too were not even warm and had zero flavor.

The servers were attentive and greeted us with pleasure. The food was southern styled and tasty for the most part.

It shows breakfast and gravy NO BREAKFAST OR GRAVY it is a breakfast place and a diner how do they not have breakfast and we had to leave never go here and we waited 30 mins just to leave

When in Lakeland this is my goto breakfast place.

We like Reececliff for a casual meal. I like the country style of cooking that they do here. Not fancy but they have homemade pie!!! 😁😁

Stopped in for lunch. Service was quick and food was delicious. I had the philly and a side salad. My friend had the open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Everything came quickly. The salad was super fresh and the dressing was good. The philly was amazing (minus the fact that they don't have A1...lol). My friend said the open face was amazing! Had a very enjoyable lunch and still back to work within my break time!

I take my kids to breakfast every Friday. We’ve been to every breakfast joint in lakeland. This one always exceeds our expectations in terms of quality and quantity of food for the price. To top it off, speed and friendly service were exceptional on our latest trip.

Waiting for my food for about 45 minutes after ordering and the place was not very busy at all the people sitting next to me found a hair in their food and the people that was there running the restaurant wanted to give him the third degree very unprofessional

You can't beat this lace. It's one of our favorite restaurants. All home cooked food. Servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere brings you back to the 60'd and 60's. Always bring friends and family from out of town to this favorite restaurant of ours.

Lord coffee was SO good. Food was hot frsh and delicious had a Philly cheese steak omelet with buttered rye toast home fries. Absolutely delicious. Hubby had pancakes 2eggs sunny side down bacon and toast with butter sausage and everything was delicious to his taste... feel free to take you're kids warm atmosphere very friendly and the service was 100 thank you breakfast was delicious 😋

Great fried chicken, sides and pie

Went there today. Prices up up up, service down down down. Senior cod dinner w/2 sides. $16.99. Daily special Cod dinner w/ 3 sides.16.99. Not enough waitresses . What's wrong with this picture,,we used to go 1 a week. No more. I don't think we're coming back. NO SIGN ON FRONT DOOR SAYING SHORT STAFFED LONG WAIT??????? NO OUR KIND OF DINING. EATING AT HOME IS QUIETER, ENJOYABLE, & SEVICE MUCH BETTER.

We’ve been there twice for breakfast and ordered before 10:30. The first time we were told they had run out of biscuits and today we were told they were out of sausage then after sitting there for over 30 minutes we were told they had run out of biscuits and we had ordered biscuits and gravy. There is obviously poor planning. If they had told us they were out when we ordered we would’ve ordered something else. We’re disappointed to put it mildly. We left within any food!

Lazy cooks waited 45 mins and never got our food so we left with a very bad experience and disappointed

Called and placed a pick up order right as breakfast ended exactly 11:01 am on 12/22. I arrived to pick up order to be told they have no need to make Italian beef sandwiches not so they have lima beans or another item (which was not in my order of almost $60.00. the "front manager" whom took the order was not the nicest person and I would say rude and claimed he tried to call me back since I was last person to call. The number he said he called was 813 area code... Mine is 863 code. I've gone there many times and NEVER had such abysmal service. After picking my husband up from dialysis and my appointments this was supposed to be a quick and delicious meal. After this experience I can say without a doubt I will NEVER return there and the food was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT all the way around.

Our server was great. Any lady that could put jokes got to be good.

Nice mom and pop dinner. Greeted as soon as we walked in, food was good as well. We had a party of 7 and they were able to accommodate us quite nicely and it was affordable.

We went there for lunch and got the fried chicken 🍗. Well worth the wait. We will be back again.

Love their breakfast menu and had to buy a banana bread loaf. They sell a ton if great looking pies also.

We stopped in to purchase some pies for the holidays, which were excellent. We also had a little bit of dessert while we were there. The pumpkin cake was fantastic. We had driven by many times but it was the first time we stopped in. We will have to stop and try lunch.

I had open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and Lima beans. My husband had fried chicken collard greens, fried okra and cornbread. All was equally delicious.

They are doing the COVID seating so we didn't order we left.

We love eating local and decided to stop for lunch while shopping in Lakeland. We had the ham steak, black eyed peas and collards. It was like lunch at my grandma's when I was growing up! The collards were the best I've had in years. The portions are also very large. Our server was great and the food came out quickly. We will definitely be returning.

I’ve lived here a while and I’ve been wanting to try Reececliff for a while. So I intentionally waited until I could go in on a weekday when it was a little slower. 2pm on a Thursday. Nobody actually seats you, they point out open tables and you seat yourself. So I sit down at the same time as another customer. The young man behind the counter was nice, got me a drink and gave me a menu. The woman who arrived at the same time as me placed her order, received her food, and had eaten half of it within 15 minutes while I looked at the menu, sat it down, finished my drink, and started playing on my phone. Nobody even acknowledged me. No one spoke to me, said they’d be with me, nothing. I watched servers clear tables and check on other customers multiple times but never said a word to me. So I left. It’s a shame I’ve had my hopes up on this place. It looks classic and fun. But I won’t be going back.

This restaurant has been here for over 100 years and is still a good place to eat.

This is a cozy diner located on a busy street. There is off street parking, parking lot clean and in very good condition. The diner greats you with a display of pies. Try some we had a variety of desserts all were delicious. Seating was ample, service was attentive. Our burger and fries are perfect diner fare. We also had onion rings which were the size of very large doughnuts. Prices are reasonable So stop in and enjoy!!

My husband came in to get a apple pie put the money in the cashier hand she put the change on top of the pie box very rude. He has family in Lakeland that is one place in Lakeland that I will never go back to that restaurant gave me a very racist feeling

Reececliff is always consistent, so when I want comfort food this is s my go to. Everyone there is nice and the service is friendly. Darlene is my favorite though. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stopped in first time and you can bet it will be the last. Slow service for one. My husband ordered a waffle with sausage and I ordered my breakfast I asked for strawberry jelly with my breakfast and when we got our food no jelly my husband's waffle was hard as a rock. When the server finally did come back my husband said he would not like another one I finished my breakfast and she brought our ticket I said you didn't take the waffle off and my husband said they did take $6.00 off well the server went back in the back to run my card cause they only do to go on the front register and I heard her telling another server something and the other girl said well he had sausage which I had completely forgot about. So when she came back up I said oh i forgot he had sausage letting her know I heard her. One thing I can not stand is to see or hear a server bitching to another server about a customer. Customers hear this and it's wrong. My husband said no tip I in the other hand would if left her a few dollars but when I heard and seen her talking about us to another server then she did not receive a tip at all

Food is average but the prices are more reasonable compared to many places. Their salads are pretty darn good. I particularly enjoy their ham steak
