Quaint old house with amazing food and variety of hot drink options. Quiet and off the beaten path - worth the walk!

An absolute lovely surprise! Their menu is enticing enough for a visit. But. The. Courtyard! Super friendly and great staff! Grabbed a cup of their Banana Coffee Specialty Drink on our morning walk and it was outstanding. Can't wait to visit again!

I really feel bad giving negative reviews but I feel like for the price we paid and how beautiful this place is, their customer service should be 10 out of 10 and it was not even close. My three friends and I walked from our AirBnB to come grab some coffee one morning. We were so amazed at the gorgeous atmosphere and how peaceful it was. We walked in and were not greeted at all. I literally had to be the one to smile at her and tell her goodmorning. One of my friends ordered first (a cold brew and a breakfast plate). My friend received her coffee and then the girl behind the counter came to take my order. I asked her if there is only one size? She said yes, so i’m assuming that all of our drinks will be the same size (roughly 16oz). I ordered a cold brew with light ice and i also ordered the pancake drink. Mind you, this pancake drink in SEVEN dollars so i’m thinking this thing is about to be amazing. I paid $17 for TWO drinks. which isn’t that insane but what is insane is that both my drinks came out and they were different sizes. Now why when i asked the girl if they only have one size, she says yes? Tell me if that makes sense. The pancake drink was $7 and came out in a little baby cup. Maybe like a 10oz cup. No thank you. Although my cold brew was pretty great, the pancake drink was okay. I feel like I could get something better at Starbucks to be quite honest. And for the price…. lord. My other friend ordered an iced cortado with vanilla which I thought was equal parts milk and espresso. But what do i know. She gave him the same little tiny baby cup not even filled halfway… He was so confused and she was just ignorant to it all. He asked her, did you add the vanilla in this? and she cut her eyes at him and said yes?? like it was a dumb question when he just paid over $5 for this. Her demeanor was not friendly in the slightest and it felt like she wanted us to leave. This was our first time coming here and you could tell we were a little confused. Instead of her asking us if we need help with anything, she just looked at us stone cold like we weren’t supposed to be there. Maybe she was having a bad day but my god you’re in customer service. I’ve worked customer service for years (as a barista at that) and I’ve had to learn that customers don’t care that you’re having a bad day. Because of the way she was acting, I won’t return and that’s the cold hard truth about the importance of customer service. I’m glad to see everyone else had amazing experiences and my one negative review may be pushed under the pile of great reviews but who knows!!!

Great breakfast meal for brunch! Food was delicious 😋. Service is minimal. Serve yourself as in picking up your plates and taking plates back. All on all recommendations on great place for brunch !

A tucked away courtyard leads to the Rising Sun. As we walked in the footprints of forefathers past, we took a step into yesteryear. In New Orleans, old is bold. History is mystery. If only these walls could talk. We stepped in for a cozy couple's retreat and a bit to eat. It was a steamy Saturday morn. NOLA style. Gleefully greeted by Emma, we took a seat in what best could be described as a formal informal dining room. A big fireplace. Big comfy chairs and couches, draped with classic white slipcovers. And there were acrylic chairs, clearly see-through. The mood was set for an atypical meal. And that's a good thing. Accompanied by my Fav Fab One, we surveyed our surroundings and the menu offerings. Our eyes were drawn to a curious combination of eggs, house-made pimento cheese, andouille sausage (YUM!) and green onions on toasted brioche. We both ordered this tempter called the Breakfast Sandwich. In no time, chef himself delivered our dining delights. Plates of plenty. Our foodie faire. These sandwiches were excellent. Very tasty, set off by the melding of pimento & cheese and andouille please. Dee-licious! Interestingly, we both ordered UN-sweet tea. Emma advised she would brew us up a batch. Now, that caught our attention. Fresh brewed tea? I also suspect most diners in this part of the country prefer their tea with a loving spoonful of sugar. Fresh brewed? How refreshing.... WE absolutely LOVED the tea. So much so that we asked for the brand information. We're going to be ordering some. Can't wait. Overall, our trip to the Rising Sun proved to be a 'bright' spot in our day.

Everything here was perfect! Followed the reviews on Google and got the B.E.A.T and the Pulled Pork Hash and it was delicious. The atmosphere is very aesthetic and beautiful and chill.

When we first got here, we were disappointed that the menu item we wanted was no longer on the menu. But we tried BEAT sandwiched, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was really friendly and helpful with ideas. The music was really good 80s. The building is filled with cool little details that you have to look for.

The customer service was very good the cashier was patient with us and checked for the accommodations we asked for. The food tasted great, seasoned well, and they brought us our food as it finished, instead of waiting until it was all done and making our food cold like most restaurants. I really liked the atmosphere and definitely would come back if i visit NOLA again.

This hidden gem is Absolutely Delightful. The bartender was fantastic and showered us with attention, humor, consideration... Truly a great experience. That part was so much fun it would have been worth the trip even if the food weren't amazing... But it is quite good. The coffee drinks are innovative, unique, and special. Completely worth the time.

This is my favorite secret getaway. Great vibes and great food. Figgy and Fox are absolutely amazing.

I really love this space! I cowork here frequently so can’t speak to any other aspect of the space. My only wish is that there were more food options for breakfast/snacks! Other than that, 10/10 😊

Absolutely fantastic place to see if you happen to be visiting New Orleans. Very in touch with the community and clearly an underrated gem of the city. Highly recommend seeing it at least twice.

Absolutely gorgeous little place with wonderful food. We throughly enjoyed the patio for our breakfast. The spinach omelette was the best I’ve ever had and I am not an omelette person. The coffee was outstanding. Prices were very good. Service was effecient.

Comfortable space with delicious food and drinks (with and without alcohol). There's indoor and outdoor seating, experienced baristas, and one of the the best pork hash in New Orleans. The bartenders are happy to give recommendations for drinks based on just a few notions of what you have liked or not, which is phenomenal if you're looking to try something new, but not sure what. My personal favorites thing is enjoying a Lemongrass Citrus Mimosa and Pulled Pork Hash in the courtyard followed up by a Chai latte.

Uhhh this is one of the cutest, most perfect little breakfast spots I’ve ever found. Food is tasty (get the breakfast sandwich, so good) the coffee is excellent, the service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy as a button. Would come here all the time if I lived in the area.

Rising Sun is the hidden gem of the Lower Garden District. It’s got this breezy, open vibe that transports you to another place! Reasonably priced, quality food and drinks. Laid back and kind people working here!

Great courtyard tucked away by the highway. The food was absolutely outstanding, the breakfast sandwich, hash browns, carrot cake muffin, all delicious. Would absolutely encourage anyone who is curious to stop by for at least a drink and a snack.

Just off the breakfast alone, I’m convinced to return. The stand out, if you’re a truffle fan, is the black truffle and onion tart; instant love.

This is a must try spot. My girlfriend and I walked a few blocks from our Airbnb to have a nice little outdoor breakfast. I wanted something intimate and romantic and the gazebo table was perfect. She had the Espressotini and I had the spice drink. Rachel made them perfect. We had the Pulled Pork Hash and the Diner plate. She added the pimento cheese to her eggs and and hash browns which sent the plate over the top. Thank you all for such an amazing breakfast and we will definitely never forget this experience.
