Ordered pick up for a Caesar salad and had my friend grab it for me since I can’t walk at the moment. On the price listed $10 online I thought it would be bigger than this tiny side salad not to mention it’s just lettuce and croutons and a small container of dressing with the menu stated there would at least be cheese in it. Very disappointed. Not to mention the same bottle of Electra Moscato that you can get at most places for 11 was 15. I wouldn’t have purchased if I had known the price especially since the food wasn’t worth the value, but a friend had already done it for me

Very friendly staff. Great selection in the front. Amazing bar and restaurant in the back. The bar has a speakeasy feel. They are terrific mixologist.

Excellent evening dinner a few nights ago. Shrimp quesadilla with fresh guacamole.

Appetizers outrageously expensive and portion was very small. Bibb salad was the size of a house salad. I liked the atmosphere but won’t go back due to not getting what you pay for

Stopped in with a friend on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is very nice, and we did not have to wait to be seated. We both got mocktails we enjoyed. I got the shrimp and grits (which is my go to pretty much if a restaurant has them on the menu) and this was by far one of my favorites in Jax! I would definitely come back for this dish alone.

They carry a great selection of spirits, aperitifs, bitters, wine, including things I can't find at other stores. And the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

This is a hidden gem in Jacksonville. It feels like a speakeasy because the restaurant is hidden in the back of an excellent wine store. The service was great, the place has a very low key vibe and had a good kind of busy with locals on a weeknight. The food was delicious and reasonable. Loved it!

Favorite restaurant in the area. I am gluten free and the staff is always accommodating. Food is amazing and service is always great. I visit at least twice a month and it makes it hard to go other places because of the possibility of being disappointed.

I recently visited Riverside Liquor and overall had a decent experience. The staff was friendly, and I even learned a bit about sangria thanks to them. However, I did notice that the pours for drinks were on the lighter side, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, I found that the selection at Riverside Liquor didn't seem very diverse. Although Riverside Liquor may not be the epitome of culinary excellence, it offers a convenient option for those seeking their preferred beverages.

Fantastic selection of mezcal (if that’s your thing; fantastic selection of everything else if not). The staff was super helpful and friendly. Amazing bourbons and wine as well. Worth the drive.

I shop here frequently for wine and liquor. They have a wonderful and various selection. The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with any question you might have. Also, the restaurant in the back is a hidden gem. It’s a must for a date night; especially for drinks and tapas. Everything we had was spot on, fresh, and so tasty. The lamb meat balls I highly recommend: actually so moist, spicy, and great flavor.

Amazing wine and spirits collection and a smaller collection of very interesting and eclectic beer cooler. One of the nicest liquor stores I've ever been in, with great customer service, highly recommend.

More than meets the eye when you see liquor store! Bar, restaurant, and liquor store. Went for the champagne tasting, very informative and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Will be returning soon.

This is the best restaurant in Riverside, but it feels like a well-kept secret! Like a reverse-speakeasy, you go past rows of liquor and wine to an area in the back with some tables. Past that and to the right, you find a hidden bar! This whole place is cute and low-key, but the food is the best I’ve had since moving to Jacksonville 1 year ago! My fiancé and I love coming here as a special treat. The menu is pricier, but definitely not as expensive as far less delicious places in the area! I don’t really want anyone to go here because it feels like being in a quaint old place that’s only for locals, but also this restaurant deserves all of the stars.

Went to purchase a bottle of bourbon, ended up in the back bar tasting a few. Excellent vibe and staff both at the bar and package area. Looking forward to going back and trying the restaurant next time I’m in town!

The liquor store has a good solid selection at reasonable prices. They typically have bottles at the counters that you can sample before you buy. Also, the restaurant/bar is a hidden gem. Good food. Good drinks. Good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I would not recommend shopping or dining there. The retail employees and servers are rude and unprofessional. I have had multiple poor experiences.

Great food and drink quality here! Lovely old fashions. I had the lamb and short rib pasta special for dinner and it was incredible. One of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had.

Not going to lie! This place lives up to the reputation it has attracted. Looks ugly from the outside but has a smooth vibe in the inside. But HUGE DISCLAIMER- have a grilled cheese sandwich before you leave the house or something to hold you down. Extremely small portions. I left very hungry. So if you're looking to throw down then this is not that spot. And for the serving portions and price it's not expensive but not cheap either. Now quality of food and blends of flavor and spices is outstanding. We tried a little bit of everything. I did notice on my fellow yelpers they had similar plates that seemed like a heftier plate but who knows. The calamari, shrimp and charcuterie board were A+. Pretzel stick were a B-. My espresso martini was a C+, and my Island cocktail was a B+ Anna was our server and she was outrageously on point. Very helpful and attentive. Worth the visit and revisit.

Hidden gem. Incredible value for the quality of food and drinks served here. We always make a stop here when someone is visiting from out of town. Not cheap (if thats what you're looking for) but certainly cheaper than anywhere else I've been that serves as high of quality food/drinks.

Excellent drinks and food. Staff was nice and welcoming. One star removed because food is expensive for a small amount.

Really wished this place was better. Had the burrata for an appetizer. The cheese itself was barely melted like they had microwaved it for 10 seconds. It was swimming in a bath of watery tomatoes, which had good flavor, but was not a good consistency to accompany the hard ball of cheese. For the main course the sliders were not worth it. They were too small, my rolls were stale, and the two burgers tasted nearly identical. The saving grace for this place was their wine menu which had great prices for good quality wine and the atmosphere was nice.

Had just a great evening here on Monday. Had a variety of the appetizers and overall really pleasant. Higher end food than you would expect from the area, being a bit more bar centric. Staff is attentive and beer was cold.

Do not recommend this place. We had a party of 10. 7 people got served 3 did not get there food. Everyone had finished while the other 3 got nothing. Not Not coming back.

My favorite go to after work. People are friendly. The food is top notch and cocktail creations at the bar are great. The store is one of the best in Jax!

Wait. A restaurant with a great chef and changing plates AND I can get the wine or liquor paring before I leave theough the package store? Take my money! Also, excellent service on both sides of the bar, and in the store. Looking for something specific, just ask. If they don't have the brand, these folks know what is just like it. Give it a shot, and try the cheese plate. Dan and James are the best!!! Gabriella is the newest addition... much love to her, too!!

Great selection of wines and liquors

We bought A BUNCH of liquor for our wedding and Fletcher was able to help us pick out a bunch of different liquors to fulfill what we needed, since we aren't big liquor people. We were able to get great selections at great prices, and the delivered it to our venue. We didn't have to worry about a thing that day! Highly recommend for events!

Surprisingly behind the tattered looking exterior lies a little gem. One of the best wine and liquor stores in Jacksonville. There’s also a nice seating and bar area which is cosy and serves tapas and large plates. Definitely worth a visit.

Food normally decent but the steak and ceviche were awful last night

My Rotary group meets here once a quarter. We meet on a Wednesday. They have a special on Wednesday no corkage on anything purchased in the store. They have good food. Our group always order several large appetizers and the food never disappoints. Thank you for being a part of the community.

I had my birthday dinner there and it was more then amazing!! The bartender was kind enough to make me a drink I asked about! The southern trio, sliders, and bourbon glazed salmon were so tasty!

My favorite bottle shop! My husband and I moved away a couple of months ago after living in Jax (and regularly going to Riverside Liquors) for about 6 years. RSL is one of the few businesses I genuinely miss. It has a fantastic wine selection with a knowledgeable and helpful staff (Fletcher, we miss you!) that does not ever try to talk you into spending more money for the sake of spending more money. I would recommend this place to anyone!

This is a nice spot to grab dinner and socialize. I have only been here once and this was my experience. The french dip was very good. Although I feel it's a little overpriced for the size, I would probably get it again. Another person in my party had one carnitas and one shrimp taco. The carnitas were very dry and although we were both hungry we couldn't even finish it. The shrimp tacos were much better but the shrimp did not taste fresh. The pretzel knots were the most disappointing item of the evening. $10+ for 3 bite size knots is crazy. For the price and cost of making these I really expected 6-8 of this size or at least 2 or 3 pretzel sticks (similar to what you would get at Hoptinger). Although the bread was good, the cheese had an aftertaste like that of a cheez whiz spray can. I'm looking at other photos people have posted and they have 5 sticks. Ours was 3 pretzel balls. They have a lot of good options on the menu, so I plan on returning.

Drinks are well made, and the food is stellar. Bartenders are great at their jobs, friendly and knowledgeable. The whole place a has a welcoming feeling, with the bar in the back being a hidden gem that goes from quite and cozy, to bustling and full of life.

First time buying a bottle of wine here and we have lived here since 2015. We walked in, met Liz immediately upon arrival, I said Chianti, she pointed out a couple bottles, we exchanged kind words and my partner and I were in and out in literally 2 minutes. The staff is so nice, helpful and welcoming. Will be back :)

I had the grilled cheese special, the Greek goddess salad and the chefs cut ribeye and everything came out perfectly. Natalie was my bartender and she made the best Manhattan I’ve ever had. You have to come check out this local gem. Don’t sleep on this place!

My first time going... I was super confused as to how this was a restaurant, but it's in the back past all the liq 😅 Anyway, food is delicious, light on the tummy, good ambiance, great customer service. Will return 👍🏽

First time here and unfortunately as we were wrapping up dinner and drinks a huge rat ran above us in the exposed ceiling rafters. Our poor waitress saw it as well and screamed in disbelief. She called a gentleman over who I believe is the manager and pointed it out scurrying across the metal beams towards the kitchen. This man said it has been here “several days” and they are working on catching it. Appalling. Worst is that they then brought out full bills and had the audacity to say “we’ll take care of… it… before your next visit” nah, there’s probably no next for me. Food was fair - for example bacon dates were delicious while the tacos were lacking in seasoning. Prices are moderate, I think a round of drinks and about 7 small plates was around $200 for 4 people. Drinks are delicious. Go at your own discretion.

Great atmosphere! Excellent service! Drinks are also excellent! We got the steak and shrimp pasta dish, both amazing! We ordered charcuterie board, date dish and baratta dish for appetizer and ALL 3 were amazing! Will definitely be coming back:)

Not only can you enjoy local local offerings of tapas, but get to know David and Victor and you are sure to find yourself the recipient of a healthy pour, an interesting story, and a bottle of something to take home to remember them by. This location receives some of the best allocations of whiskey in northeast Florida. They also select their own single barrel bottling to offer parrons from some of the best distilleries in the United States. If they don't have it ask. If they've never heard of it I'll be surprised. The Saturday before Thanksgiving every year they are host to The Riverside Wine Fest. This charity event is an you can taste Mingle with Meaning event that draws out those from the neighborhood and beyond every year for a good cause. With over 300 wines to taste, dont stop until the casks run dry! It's always a bit of an Easter egg hunt for the best bottles that no one expects to actually have poured at AN open event. Tickets go on sale at the end of Oct or first week in November, Be sure to save your commemorative glass from the event. They have become something of a something of a collectors item in the city. I went into the shop to try to pick up a bottle of Glenfiddich but was advised that the Redbreast might suit my pallet better. I was not disappointed but I still want to try that bottle of Glenfiddich to compare the two. The employees were well knowledgeable and quite friendly. If my treatment here is repeated when I come back on payday then this shop will have a customer for as long they keep supplying me with great service.

Riverside Liquors & The Restaurant provided amazing food and exclusive bottles for our event, hosting over 100 people from around the country. We would recommend this team to anyone planning an event. Elijah was fantastic to work with; he is extremely knowledgeable and was very proactive helping us prepare. Having one source for food and beverage makes planning so much easier!

Love the more private/intimate environment here. The Empress was fabulous. The menu had couple great bites. I think the charcuterie is supplied by Grater Goods, a Murray Hill favorite of mine! Easy enough to order gluten free, harder to order veggie/vegan.
