The prime rib was great. I had the Halabit special it also Very good. Friends mahi mahi was very dry and overcooked.

Prime rib baby. 'nough said! Still not a bad meal and always great service. Because of that, it's usually always busy.

This supper club is totally worth the drive!! Their salad bar and food are incredible!!! The broasted pork chop SO juicy. And they have South African lobster!!!! The best lobster ever!!! So thick and meaty, like lobster steak!!! Drool!!! Totally worth it!!!

Soup of the day, cream of asparagus/broccoli was very watery. They were out of pork shank right at opening, which several in our group planned to order, and we heard people in several of the adjoining parties ask for it, too. All four of us ordered the tenderloins deutsch, which was very disappointing, pretty unflavorful beef stew. The salad bar was nothing special and not huge, considering other reviewers raving about it. The tables are extremely close together, it's very crowded, the entire restaurant is tightly packed. Service was good, but you don't go to a restaurant primarily for the service. Overall, very disappointing.

One of our favorite supper clubs! Roepke's gives the classic supper club vibe with a nice salad bar and entrées that never disappoint. If you still, somehow, have room after dinner, the ice cream cocktails are fantastic as well. There is likely to be a wait, as all the locals know this place is a gem. Don't let the crowded bar intimidate you, walk around to the waiting room tucked near the hostess station and you might find an open table where you can enjoy your cocktails.

Good supper club; friendly bartender and waitress; ordered some onion rings and cheese curds at the bar while we waited—yummy! host was kinda cranky; tried calling 3 times to make a reservation for our group of 10, but no one answered; waited over an hour on a Sunday evening to be seated; salad bar had lots of options; everyone said their main entree was very good; I would have liked onions and mushrooms on my steak, but forgot to ask and the waitress didn’t either. After dinner grasshopper hit the spot.

The perch was delicious and piping hot when delivered to our table. My hubby loved his 12 ounce tenderloin with sautéed mushrooms and onions! Salad bar was amazing, too! We highly recommend!!😊

Wanted to check out the local supper clubs and ended up here at Roepke's. Certainly had heard good things from locals. The place was pretty busy, but after trying the food certainly understand why. Decided to go with the tenderloin, and it was cooked medium rare to perfection. I feel it maybe could've used a bit more seasoning, but honestly that's being ticky tacky. I really enjoyed the cup of onion soup before the steak. The cheese topping was sticking everywhere- and I loved it! Would recommend dining here-though the decor is certainly to the baskets!

Delicious delicious food. The atmosphere is pretty good for a supper club as well. I will say, I was a little disappointed in the size of the salad bar. However, overall a wonderful experience! Amazing French onion soup

My parents started dining at Roepke's in 1968, and it is still the favorite for our entire family to this day. We are treated wonderfully each visit, and the drinks, entrees', and of course the salad bar are all the very best

Drinks are always consistent here. We've been here 6 times and Lawton was our favorite server, he was friendly and professional. The salad bar was very fresh and tasty. Portion size of entree was satisfying, perfectly cooked scallops had me applauding my choice.

Like the fact that they still have a salad bar with a great selection. Most supper clubs are just giving a side salad with your meal.

Simply the best. We travel 45 minutes to an hour to Roepke's, and it's always worth the drive. We most often enjoy the petite prime rib and the broiled haddock, usually with garlic mashed potatoes. The salad bar is a wonderful starter. Highest recommendation.

Schnitzel was awful! Dry as shoe leather and no flavor. I did not see any options for sauces, either. Based on the last experience, with the food, I don't think that I would return.

Portions are huge! Porterhouse was one of the best steaks ever. Extremely tender. Beef tips are exceptional. Prume Rib was so tasty. Izzy was a phenomenal waitress. Bartenders were great as well.

Love their bar, the food was good, service was great. The only thing that could have used improvement, is the tables are pretty close together. This is fairly common of supper clubs, but harder when people are getting up and down for the salad bar.

I have been here 4 times horrible steak every time. Last 3 times I wasn't buying dinner. I will not be back doesn't matter who's buying. Teach your chef how to cook a RARE steak.

Food is excellent and the service is fantastic. Friendly atmosphere and a salad bar second to none. Easily one of my favorite restaurants and I have very few on my list. My wife and I like to sit at their bar ahead of our meal and the tap beer selection and drinks are top notch.

Suzy and I try to get out to Roepke's at least once a month, especially when we are with another couple who have never been here before. Never disappoints! The salad bar is amazing, and the menu is top notch. Love the pork shank with Kraut and mash potatoes. Also, the steaks are USDA Prime of course, but the way they are cooked never disappoints! Do yourself a favor and have an after dinner brandy alexander prior to leaving. You'll thank me later. For additional fun, stop next door to Dorn's bar and have a taste of old town Charlesburg before leaving for home or stop in prior to wet your whistle.

Initially reviewed several years ago Went there last night (Sunday), only the second time we've been there. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere, where most of Wisconsin's good super clubs are. I don't remember much about the previous visit other than we must have thought it was good. It is good, very good food and a nice salad bar. My minor gripes are that we watched other people arrive after us (we got there at opening time) get menus and order and get seated before us. So I had to ask what was the deal, I put my name in for table... they said that we more or less had to let them know when we were ready. my assumption was, we would get menus while waiting at the bar, like every other supper club, make a decision and then be guided to our table. It's not like that here apparently. Not a big deal really, not being a regular there, we didn't know and should've been informed. The other small knock is their old-fashioned's, I love old fashioned's, just not theirs. They do have a decent beer selection so not all was lost. Update: has become my place of choice, just excellent every time. We still love Schwarzs, boy it's hard to decide. We are very lucky to have two amazing super clubs in our area, you really can't go wrong with either, but if you like a salad bar (awesome) then Roepkes is for you!

Awesome food, nice salad bar, great bartenders while you wait for a table. This is your classic wisconsin supper club. The prime rib is fantastic. Always order it medium rare and it comes as exactly ordered! Great prices as well. We drive 40 minutes to eat here and it's well worth it every time.

The food was great! We were there on a Sunday evening with 3 other couples. Oh, the salad bar was awesome. Most of our party had steak. My husband said he could have cut his with a butter knife, and the flavor was very good. I had the lightly breaded haddock with boasted potatoes, so good! Service was just ok. Our waitress forgot a lot of things we would ask for, like butter, ketchup, water, drinks, etc. This was our first time, and we will definitely be back!

Some of the best service I can remember in a long time. Our party of ten all loved the food and salad bar. Prices are so reasonable. One minor complaint: at the salad bar the lettuce was all the white nasty stuff. We will be returning.

Restaurant is everyone's favorite. Ordered prime rib medium, wife ordered it medium well. Neither had any flavor. Shrimp that came with it was good. They do offer reservations which is good because the place is always packed. Everyone raves about their salad bar the only real difference from others is thick cut tomatoes, cherry jello with fruit, French dressing was thin not thick.

Amazing streaks and salad bar! This is my 2nd review. Just went again last weekend and had another great meal. As we were paying, the gentleman asked where we were from and told him it's about a 45 min ride from FDL for us. He then THANKED us for making the trip to their restaurant. He said he knew we passed at least 3 other supper clubs to get there, and he appreciated it. Wow. Now that's great customer relations. And absolutely, we'll happily travel the 45 min. It's always fantastic. Thank you!

One of our favorite supper clubs to patronize. I called to make reservations for a birthday supper and inquired about wheelchair accommodations. They went above and beyond to situate our group comfortably as well as being very wheelchair friendly. The service was great, as was the food. There are only two things we wish they had on the salad bar, boiled egg, and hot bacon dressing. They can't do everything, though. Definitely should be a destination for those looking for a great supper club atmosphere, great food, great service, and great drinks. You shouldn't be disappointed.

You remind me of my childhood like a real good steakhouse

I took my parents here for their birthdays, it was my first time there. We arrived just after 6pm on a Tuesday without reservations, we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very young and didn't have answers for a couple of our questions, but overall, she did a great job! Got our orders right and kept our drinks full. All the entrées include the salad bar or you could get it by itself for $11. The salad bar came with all the fixins, including homemade croutons and sliced Roma tomatoes. There were also 2 different potato salads, jello, liver pate, cheese spread, breadsticks and crackers, as well as several other items. My daughters split a fettuccine alfredo, they really liked it and finished it all! Both my parents ordered coconut shrimp, which they also enjoyed. I got the tenderloin and walleye parmasean combo. It was very good! The steak was so tender! I also got a crock of sautéed mushrooms to have with the steak, it was amazing! Before leaving, I ordered a slice of triple layer carrot cake to go. It was so moist and delicious! I definitely will be returning to dine here in the future!

Food was amazing, waitress was extremely nice and friendly, even though the place was packed. Very difficult to get decent service as we did. Attention to details makes it easy to return which we will, very soon. Prime rib was very good and easy to cut as it should be, I'd recommend it to anyone. When crowded as it was it gets difficult to have a conversation without talking louder, can be unnerving. But it won't keep us from going back. Enjoy

Roepke's is a terrific family-owned supper club with a large, very busy, bar area. Best steaks I've had, bar none, and at a decent price; they age the meat themselves. Try the Porterhouse. Traditional German dishes are avail able. I've eaten there many times over the past 50+ years, and I have never had poor service or food. The large salad bar is the best (only one?) in the area. My only criticism is that the restaurant seems a bit dark (some might say cozy)--only one small window. I wish Seneca made her banana cream pie more often--it's the best dessert ever.

Had dinner there Thursday night with my younger brother John. The salad bar is to die for and the tenderloin main course was delicious.

Took my mom here for her Birthday. They are clean. Food is fresh. Loved our waitress. They gave mom a free treat and sang to her. Great job!! Thank you for such a great day. Well worth an hour drive.

Our server Izzy was wonderful treated us kindly and respectfully, loved having a good laugh! Food was good but not amazing. Tenderloin was over cooked as well as my lobster! However sizes and portions were great! Atmosphere was good but cluttered. Will return soon and give it another try, definitely worth giving a shot at least once.

Come here and you’ll feel like a king! A mature crowd, friendly staff, and unbelievable brandy old fashioneds all combine to create a quintessential supper club dining experience. Come on a Thursday and enjoy a prime rib the size of your leg. The baked potato left something to be desired, I would stick with the mashed potatoes. If I could be so bold as to offer a suggestion to the chef, it would be to experiment with a twice baked potato. Don’t forget to cap off your feast with an ice cream cocktail, the grasshopper makes you feel like a kid again.

Love the old Supper Club feel. Great Old Fashioneds, wonder food, and a great staff! I can not wait to go back!
