It was so good that we went there twice in 1 week! Reasonably priced and good-sized portions. I had the chicken quesadilla the first time, and I haven't had anything close to being that delicious anywhere else! The second time I had a Reuben, it was also delicious.... Great food! Great waitress!

They were awesome to us. We had a lathe group and they did everything they could to make our visit a positive experience.

If you're in this area, make a point to stop by Rose's Hilltop Diner! We were so glad that we decided to drive up the hill for breakfast after staying the night in Weedville. The food was wonderful, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere cozy.

Stopped for breakfast and it was delicious. The staff is incredible and food quality is excellent. Definitely recommend Hilltop for a great breakfast.

Rose's is a wonderful little treasure that is popular with locals and visitors alike. So glad somebody told us about this place! It is our go-to spot for breakfast wherever we are in the area. We've also enjoyed their lunch menu several times with great results. The food is good, the portions are generous, the prices are affordable and the service is always exceptional. They are usually pretty busy, so be patient if there is a short wait. It's worth it👍

It's usually a long wait for a table and a longer wait for the food, but the waitstaff is on top of refills while you wait. Food is worth the wait.

Hometown cooking. Honestly, Rose's is our favorite place to go for breakfast. The portion sizes are more than appropriate. The staff is wonderful. The food is delicious. If you ask for the homemade toast, you won't be disappointed. It's a best kept secret, honestly. Service is pretty quick. Depending on the time of day, you may have to wait for a seat. But you never sit with an empty coffee cup or without a feeling of being appreciated for being there.

I was really hungry after driving for 5 hours straight on no breakfast. So when I saw this little diner I immediately hit the brakes, pulled in the gravel parking lot, and went in to eat. I'm glad I did! The breakfast menu had your typical traditional all-american breakfast foods on it, which is exactly what I prefer. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss omelette with a pancake in lieu of toast. Home fries were available for an extra charge. My omelette was really good and I'm glad that that's what I ordered. The pancake was really really greasy, almost as if it had been deep fried instead of cooked on a grill. But I was hungry so I ate it despite the oilyness. Almost every omelette on the menu specified American cheese, and I like every kind of cheese except American, so the reason I ordered the mushroom omelette is because that was just about the only one that came with a choice of cheese other than American or processed cheddar sauce (as opposed to real cheddar cheese). So overall I had a good experience and got filled up, but one needs to pay attention to the particulars on the menu if one is choosy about what one eats.

I stopped by after church on Sunday. They were very busy; I was alone, so I sat at the counter. Otherwise, I might have waited for a seat. They offer a traditional American breakfast menu; omelettes, combination plates, breakfast sandwiches, pancake varieties, and some traditional lunch sandwiches—like burgers and such. I got an ranch omelette with hash browns and a pancake. Everything was wonderful! There was a little wait to receive my order. The wait staff was particularly personable and efficient. There was one surprise, though. They charge a surcharge of 3.9% for paying with a credit card. I am new to Pennsylvania, and this is a new concept for me. I have learned since that it is pretty much standard practice for the region.

Food was good, larger portions, a nice variety on the menu. Very typical diner food. Service was friendly. I would go again.

This is the first time I went there and it was better than I expected. I do have to point out for the amount of customers they get, they could at least fix their booth seats as they had huge holes, rips, etc. The infant high chairs did not have proper buckles on them at all. When we went, it was quite, with very few customers, except for my baby who was not quite at all. Next, let's get to the food! So, the fries were actually the best fries around. Even better than your local fast food restaurants. The chicken tenders were perfect. The "spicy" curly fries were a bit of a let down because they didn't have a "spicy" kick to them. The Dexter burger was juicy and messy, falling apart once you bite into it. The ribeye had to be cooked a little longer because it was still rare, when I asked for not well done, but not too rare. The waitresses was kind enough to wait until I cut into it and take it back for a longer cooking session. The hamburger steak was good. The only issues I had was that there was not enough gravy on it and it was salty in some areas of the meat. The orange juice tasted nasty. I don't know where they got it from, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Other then the above faults and flaws, I think I might come back again.

Wonderful food! Last September they made pies for our wedding and they were absolutely wonderful. Our guests raved about all the different varieties!!! They even delivered them to us fresh out of ovens!

Place is getting too popular. Is that bad? Anyway, scratch cooking is ALWAYS good. Sometimes orders are mixed up, but the food makes up for it. My mother worked there 30+ years ago. Hasn't changed much. Fair price for rib sticking food. It's a staple must eat couple times a year for our family.

If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast (or lunch) while you're in the area, definitely stop in. The parking lot was packed when we got there so we were a little nervous about getting a seat but my worries were for nothing. We didn't even have to wait to be seated and they never let our coffee get empty. Fantastic service, fabulous food. 10/10.

Roses hilltop diner was just amazing. It has large portions of hot,fresh,delicious food.the menu was quite large with a lot of different options like seafood and pastas,salad,sandwiches,breakfast, and more! I had the country fried steak with the cheddar broccoli bites and can't recommend them enough. Go here with your family or even by yourself...a hidden jem

Can I say more about this location? Do you have that kind of time?? Lol The finest staff and food you will find anywhere in PA let alone the nation. If you have the opportunity to dine here and you pass it up, it is entirely your loss! Patronize this establishment frequently and it feels more like going to eat at your favorite cool aunt's house or your grandmothers. The value of the service that the staff provides here is beyond a 5 star resteraunt, and the quality of the food makes you feel like you are getting away with something after squaring up on the bill. Literally. 👍👍 sadly I'm out of thumbs... ha

Was literally THE BEST breakfast I have had in a very long time! The prices are very cheap for how amazing the food was and the portion size was perfect! I'm very sad we live so far from this place because I would definitely go often! The menu is AMAZING and very creative!
