Disgusting price for a tiny bowl of soup. Waited extremely long time after a large party received their food who had ordered after us. Our order was minimal and should not have required a long wait. Will never go here again!

This is one of our two favorite places to eat lobster in Maine. Limited menu - lobster, clams, potatoes, corn - but what else do you need? Expertly prepared. All the food we have ever had here has been great. Fast, friendly, helpful service. Very reasonable prices. Tables right on the dock with a million dollar view while you eat. People who eat here are friendly so it's a nice social atmosphere. You're welcome to bring your own beverages and other food. Check operating hours, as these change. Great lobster, clams and view. Nothing more required.

Wow! Best lobster dinner we had while visiting Maine. Friendliness of the workers running the place, seeing the lobsters and clams being kept in pound with constant flow of seawater instead of saltwater tanks, eating next to the harbor where you could see the boats, fish barrels, and lobster traps all around, the price, and the taste of everything - stellar experience. Check their Facebook page shown on the Google listing for opening hours as they are somewhat limited.

This is by Far the better of the two lobster restaurants in the area. One reason is of course the lobsters are cooked in salt water and two they use real salted butter. And they are a BYOB place. Staff is always friendly and most times they will bring your order to your table. Tip for going to this place is get your table first and then order your dinner, because you may wait for a long time for an open table.

Directly on the pond. Friendly service. Delicious food. We ordered the twin meal which comes with soft shell lobsters. Soft shell, the locals say, means it has molted recently, so the meat is easier to get to. We also ordered 2 hard shells just to compare. We preferred the flavor and texture of the hard shells and they supposedly have more meet. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Go there away from regular meal times because there isn't a huge seating area. I think 10 picnic tables were on the porch.

A real feel of Maine, fresh lobster and clams right from the sea at unbeatable prices. I paid $25 for a dinner which included a 1.25 lb. Lobster, a netted bag of about 12 clams, corn on the cob, and a bag of potato chips. We ate on a picnic table overlooking the water.

Whole cooked lobster and corn for under $20 is incredible! The woman working there was so nice and the food came out fast! Really glad we stopped here!

Simply Awesome. This shack is #1 in my ratings after eating at a ton of them. What a setting as well. In fact it was our best Lobster in the two week stay based just north of Portland, Maine. You have to work to get here (its a drive), but way, way worth it. This part of the trip will get repeated!

Local lobsters with a view! Rather than go to a restaurant, it was great to sit outside next to Round Pound and enjoy a lobster dinner outside. Took about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. $30 for 2 lobster dinners (including corn on the cob)!

Amazing lobster! Set the bar too high! It was so fresh and delicious. Called in before hand to order and waited only a couple minutes after I arrived. IT IS A MUST GO

Only serves live, uncooked lobsters now for off season since Mid October. Lobsters are right from floating dock a couple of hundred yards away, needless to say how fresh they could possibly be. Today is our second time dropping in, will definitely be back again during our staycation here.

Love this place and so do my mother and father in law. They make at least 1 trip a week all summer if not more. It is a great little lobster pound and their lobster is cooked to perfection and savored on their picnic table lined deck right on the Maine ocean front..

They have lobsters and clams, no cheeseburgers. Also tables with holes for umbrellas but no umbrella’s. Lobsters were good, not great.

The meals over all we're very good except for the lobster salad. It first came without lobster then when we returned it they put 2 pieces of lobster on it. The salad was very small and way over priced for 20.00.

Very rustic -- even for coastal Maine. Nevertheless, sweet, small 1 1/4 lb softies. Dinner is served with a dozen clams, and delicious sweet corn. All the accoutriments, but bring your own bib if you need one. About a half-hour wait for cooking, but no one else was there ordering. No drinks sold, but there is a soda vending machine ($2.00) on the side. Apparently very popular with the locals who all bring their own "stuff". Quite a bargain, however, with the lowest prices we've found on the coast.

Nice people...Glenn Dwyer is a prince...great fun. Lobsters are fresh, fairly priced...and the harbor view alone is worth the trip.

THE BEST LOBSTER OF OUR MAINE TRIP! What a spot! This was our favorite meal of our entire trip thru Maine and coincidentally it was also the most affordable. $33 for 2 lobsters, corn, 1lb clams, and chips. You can bring your own beer too! The lobster was so fresh, sweet, perfectly cooked-- it's literally alive until you order it. Sitting out on the wharf watching the boats and the birds was such a special experience for us, being from Los Angeles. Wishing I was back there right now!

We used to go to Shaws but they are no longer good. We found around Pond on Google. It was the best lobster wharf ever. $33 for 2 lobsters, clams, corn. BAM! Sounds like a deal to me. And you’re allowed to bring whatever food you want that they don’t sell, byob. We got to watch the lobster men unload their catch and load up for the next day right next to us. It was like a dinner and a show. Very friendly place. Oh and their was even a dog named Lucy and came over to say hi. Next time I’m on Maine (from PA) I will be back for more delicious lobster at Round Pond.

One of the freshest lobster eateries in Mid coast Maine. Reasonably priced lobster and steamers served with corn on the cob out in the fresh fresh air with a full harbor view. Highly recommended.

The folks are fantastic and the lobsters are fabulous and they have the best prices in the area. It's a hidden gem worth finding. I always visit at least once when I'm in the area!! You won't be disappointed!!

Great service. Great food. Great view. Very reasonably priced. About 25% less than Muscongus Bay Lobster right next door for the exact same lobster dinner. I have eaten at both and greatly prefer Round Pond Lobster Co-Op because of the price and it isn't touristy looking.

This place is great, friendly service. Operated by a family of lobster fisherman so you know the catch is fresh. Pretty spot too.

My favorite place to eat lobster as you are looking at the water they came out of. True sea to table with a minimalism that has to be experienced to be appreciated. Be sure to bring your own extras and beverages.

My go-to place for lobster, worth every second of the 3 hour drive for me. Note... there are two places here... a larger more full-service restaurant, and the co-op. The co-op is the small building on the right when you come in the drive, at the top of the parking lot. The menu is limited... lobster, corn on the cob, and steamers. Bring your own drinks, bring a picnic of side dishes, bring your dog(s), and sit in the pier at a picnic table and have a long, lazy lunch. I think we've said "this is the best lobster I've ever had" every time we go there.

This is a picturesque spot to eat a lobster dinner. For $20. The dinner includes a lobster, a bag of steamers, corn and chips. Sit at the picnic tables overlooking the harbor, and watch the fishing boats come in.

Awesome food, great price, very friendly, bring your own bottle. $18.50 for fresk cooked 1-1/4 pounder, bag of clams, ear of corn. Picnic tables on dock. Clean and awesome view. Unbeatable! Spent 2 weeks in area, was the best! My hats off to these folks! They even had a bathroom, sink with water and soap to wash hands. After doing whole lobsters, that's really nice.

Best lobster in Maine. Prices are unbelievable. We drove 45 minutes to come eat here over other places. It was closed for a water problem, so we came back the next day. That's how good this is.

Very simple set up with the best prices on the freshest lobster. $17 got a whole lobster dinner with clams, corn, and potato chips. Such a fun experience. I diidn't realize it was BYOB. Next time I'll be sure to bring a nice dry white wine to pair with my lobster.
