The restaurant is clean. The food is very good. You could tell the staff were not to happy with each other. No one greeted the customers. Not even the regulars. The waitress had us to pay at the time we ordered not at the end of the meal. Yes, we did let her know we were dining in. Everything was to go serving ware, condiments but not the plates. It was a hostile environment. The food was price right. Our Detroit guest were happy with the food but disappointed therre were no waffles. They do offer specials!

I cannot believe I have driven past this place so many times It took someone from out of town to be in the car. We grabbed some burgers and they were amazing. Each and every bite was absolutely delicious. The lady who assisted us was pleasant and helpful and the cook killed. And to top it off we got to learn a little bit of history about this business. I SUGGEST YOU MAKE THE TRIP HERE!!

They were out of French fries when I went. ??? 25 minute wait for food

This is the last Royal Castle left on the planet. Royal Castle is to South Florida what White Castle is to the Midwest. They made their first slider in 1938, and at its peak in the 1960's, there were over 150 locations, 40 of which were in South Florida. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 7, although I give the owner a 10 for keeping the last one open, terrazzo floors, and all. It's worth a visit for historical reasons alone. The sliders were cooked to order and served hot. Throw in a root beer for the full vintage experience.

This place sucks. The food is no good. The customer service is horrible. They can’t cook and service DoorDash people before siting customers I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone who don’t want bad food or time Wasted

Burgers and fries were legit! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for sliders in an old school setting. The last remaining location of a once vast burger empire.

I ate at Royal Castle after a morning of bowling in Pompano Beach. If you think about it, that I'm 77 years old and was 9 at that time, Royal Castle made an impression that has lasted a life time. Back in those days all they had was sliders, fries, and rootbeer.

This place is a time travelers delight. Straight out of 50-60’s America. Not implying they’ve gone high cuisine. It’s the same menu. But it’s their classic sliders. That and the friendly, crusty, neighborhood diner atmosphere. Has all the classic elements too. Take it as it is. And love it. It’s the sliders you’re here for. Fries and a birch beer too. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don’t overthink this. Order the house specialty Six pack of sliders, fries, and soda Say hello to pre-Beatles America. Roll those jeans up too, sport.

Loved our visit at Royal Castle today. We drove from North Miami Beach when our AC went out. But it was well worth it. The restaurant was very clean. Friendly polite employees with great service. And the food was so good. We had a six pack cheeseburger combo with some Fry's and drinks. The price was under $20.00. We can't wait to come back again and bring some freinds. I highly recommend this Royal Castle

Me and my wife stop eating here a while back but that new cook they have in there is the truth. He done made me come back there every single day to eat that man deserves a raise asap

I decided to get the fried chicken and grits. The chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection! It was equally as good as it used to be when I was a child and I’m glad to see the restaurant revamped! I enjoyed my food! Highly recommend.

This is a historic and Ole time favorite! I remember my parents taking me to this restaurant as a kid! Royal Castle is one of my favorite burger restaurants! The quality of the food always has the original homemade taste! The burgers are always cooked to order and served fresh, hot, and super delicious! They are considered sliders but are just as great tasting as any bigger sized burger! You've got to try the original Royal Castle burgers for yourself! You won't be disappointed!

I am a regular customer here. Just about anything you order here is definitely delicious 😋. Great customer service, neat and clean atmosphere, and a dang well GREAT COOKS big ups to them.

Unfortunately, Royal Castle is not the restaurant. It was before the flavor of the burgers, not there anymore, very sad.

I arrived at 10:45 a.m. Business was not crowded at the time. However, 11:15....no food. Ma'am yours is coming up in a minute. 11:45....still haven't received my order. They only had 1 cook. She's an older lady. She complained that she's doing the best she can. Can not blame her. This place had so much potential. We call to place an order, they don't answer the phone. We stop supporting before the new owner took over because complaining about service is worthless. They do absolutely nothing about the poor service and customer service. We said we'll try again since it's new owners....Nope...same old story, and even worst. The owner was there this day and she just ran in the back. I asked for refund whereas I was there for a hour and wasn't able to get anything to eat before I went to work. A whole hour wasted. I'll never support again. This place has went down. Customer service is horrible. The wait is ridiculous. Everyone complained that day. Worst place ever. Do not go unless you want to wait over a hour for your food.

Monday at around 1 o clock, 03/25/24 - Woman at front register profiled me for wearing a dress shirt, and me taking business calls, while I waited for an order 6 burgers with cheese, intentionally gave my food away to someone else, ignored me, and went outside to smoke, other employees in the back looked at me in the back like I don’t know what to say. I asked for a refund, after wasting 40 minutes of my time. I won’t be back. Ever.

My dad and I were reminiscing about Royal Castle, Googled and found this location. We got in the car and drove from Hollywood. I believe the young lady's name was Mary. Just the sweetest, most welcoming and pleasant person I have come across in this industry for a very long time. The restaurant was very clean and the Castle Burgers did not disappoint!! Tasted just like we remembered them!! Kudos to the chef!! We had ordered take out and just had to eat a couple before we drove back to Hollywood!! We will definitely be back!! Next time to dine in!!

She made a Major Bo Bo with the location, and that worries me to no end as there's No Slider Hamburger that comes close to b one made EXACTLY CORRECT. If it was in my power to pick this restaurant up and move it to Ne 167th street or North Miami this discussion would Never be and Sliders is ALL she would be cooking period. Locating it in Nothing town was an expensive mistake Black's have no idea what there missing and it's not a GD breakfast. We bought sliders 30 at a time and heavy on those tiny onions. Make adjustments focus On thecsliders and the warmer drawers ready cooked ones were there. Eliminate eggs and pancakes let IHOP deal with that. Only hundreds of sliders and Birch beer of course. I sincerely tried my hardest to support African-American restaurants I went in very hopeful and happy and polite.it first took about 15 minutes for someone to come ask me what I would like on the menu. The previous person was there already an hour for their food. And another table was complaining on the food temperature in taste. It was not pack or busy. Just unorganized and rudeness all around.

Location is so CLEAN! The service was great too. My family and I enjoyed our food. Everything came out perfect, hot and fresh! The food was looking so good when it came out, I forgot to take a picture of our food. We were so ready to eat it LOL. This is all I could take a picture of. We devoured it all.

The place is closed and under new management. Looks like a remodel is coming. The burgers are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Cannot wait for them to reopen.

Food was okay! The place definitely needs an upgrade you can definitely tell it seen better days.

Feels like this place won't be around much longer. I really enjoy the food here, then sometimes it's not as satisfying. Really wish they would revamp the plane. Until then I will keep trying my luck.

Hello this place was really nice boss was good with service food was a 4 because meat not done all the way but tasted yummy and juicy service was great obly waited 15 mins for food inside: REALLY clean my mom hates jerms and said wow its so clean in here and it was really quiet they kick out people who are disturbing the peace which is good and black owned nice and clean no fly problem that i know of because that can be annoying😭 i deal with so so so many flies at school trust me i know. I'm from NY where White Castles is where you go for a fast food slider. I've been here in Mia for about 1 yr and I past this place (Royal Castle) a few times but wasn't sure what food chain it was. A few wks ago I was craving a slider and this place popped up so my daughter n I call up and the lady was nice who answered the phone and even nicer when I arrived. She seemed friendly and had a smile. The inside looks a lil old like back in the 70's or 80's, they had 2 ceiling leaks with garbage pails or buckets underneath but it was clean. They sell breakfast I believe all day but I was more interested in the sliders. I ordered a 6pk with cheese with a side of fries and a 16oz fountain drink. I think I paid like $13. The lady said I could also just order the sliders. Compared to White Castles Royal Castle burgers are slightly larger (at least the ones I was served) but not so much..the taste is not bad but you can def taste the difference between the two....possibly different cheeses or its the onions. The french fries were good, fried to perfection....no after taste...which tells me the oil they used was fresh. Overall had a good experience and I look forward to trying other menu items and ill be back for more sliders. Considering I only had the 🍔 &🍟, taste and overall 1st time experience I rate this this place 3.75 out of 5.

Wow, I remember coming here as a kid back in the 80's. Still delicious. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Will be back with my kids.

Called to make an order on Jan 2 2023 at 10am and the reception lady told me to figure out what i wanted cuz she didnt have time to tell me what they had and all i asked for with a 6pack of Burger n a fish sándwich and she said they didnt have that which i found out later on they did then she Hung up on me and didnt answer the phone when i called back .

Haven't been here in years. Had one close to home since they opened. Drove by today and had to stop in. No changes. Same old Royal Castle. 2 ladies inside. 1 taking orders & 1 cooking. Good size menu with lots of combo's. Picked up 6 Castle Burgers (a 6 pack) to go. CASH ONLY!! I ate one as soon as I got home. Same great taste brings back great memories. I hope they stay open forever so parents can bring their kids for a taste of their past. I'll be back.

It took over an hour to get food .it was not good food and sevice was very poor. Will not go there again.

It feels like the only reason this place is still open is because of nostalgia. 20 years it was probably great. But over the past 5 or so years it has gotten increasingly worse. Food quality is bad. Service is slow and unfriendly. Building is not maintained. Covid likely accelerated the demise but it was going downhill before that. If a new restaurant gave this experience it would be closed within a week. Go if you want to relive a memory. Avoid if you want to to eat at a decent place.

Not enjoyable place and despite the hours of operation, take-out only. Cash only. So sad that this historic place looks like that.

I have been enjoying Royal castle burgers for the past 50 + years. This is the last one left in miami that I know of. Ive been a customer of this one for over 40+ years. Its the greatest little burger ever. Todays visit sad to say was more then a disappointment. Beside the extremely slow service the food just did not tadte like the castle burgers I have eaten for 55 years. 😭😭😭😭😭

Service is terrible, run down building with cockroaches. Employee seemed drugged. Food was mediocre at best. Places closes at 3 and I was told I couldn’t eat inside at 2:20 for that reason. Super expensive too.

Ventilation is horrible in that place, by the time you get your food, you smell like it too. Food was ok.

No drinks but lemonade, which was pure sugar with water no lemon, not even water, no straws took 35 minutes to get my burgers, which were dry as hell, place is grungy, gave my order to the wrong person once it was ready, place just needs to close already.

I eat here often. I have only gotten the smothered pork chop or the chop steak. Both comes with grits and eggs. The only problem that I have besides them not answering the phone, is I have been charged three different prices for the chop steak. The first time I ever got it the lady asked me if I wanted it smothered with onions. I told her yes and my total was $9.62. The other two people after that told me it was an up charge although the first lady told me it was included. That feels really dishonest and it bothers me but I still go. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced.

I guess they just went out of business. The Open sign in the window is still on, but the doors are locked and the front door is chained shut at 4pm. No one is there. So much for trying a local joint.

There breakfast was so good the appearance was neat not sloppy their salmon was 🔥 my mom grill chicken breakfast with the gravy was excellent

Anytime I want a good breakfast and I don't feel like cooking this meets my standards any day. They have southern and traditional food options that are well seasoned. My favorite dish is the grits, scrambled eggs, smothered pork chop with onions, and toast 😋.

Still the cheeseburger six pack is my favorite. If you plan to visit call ahead to order and see if they are open. We got there just as they were closing early because there were not enough people working for a second shift. But if you go get the six pack or a couple of six packs. Burgers are good!
