Had never heard of a runza, it's dense and delicious! Their fries and onion rings are sub par however.

Great place to go on natl chocolate ice cream day. Twist cone perfect, crunchy and yummy. Waves of chocolate, but not overpowering. Too hot today for a Runza®

This was our first time at a Runza. The employees were all friendly and immediately acknowledged us. The cashier explained the menu to us with a smile. The food was really good and so were employees. Runza West O in Lincoln.

We had never been to Runza before. We had a great first experience at Runza West O in Lincoln. The employees were friendly and the runzas were really good. Onion rings were cooked perfect. Wish they had Runza in Missouri.

My husband NEVER complains about food but he ordered a cheese Runza (which he has eaten for 25 years). It looked like a hoagie bun, sliced open w/ an unmelted piece of American cheese put on it. When he went and said something to the staff he was told that’s the way they are made. Poor response from staff especially when slogan on the wall said “Never skimp on quality “

Went thru drive thru for sandwiches only. They were exceptional! Wish we had a Runza restaurant somewhere closer to the Wichita/Newton area of Kansas.

If you need laxatives in the form of salty meat on white bread, Runza is the place for you

This was the perfect stop while we let our Tesla charge. The bathrooms were clean, the staff were friendly, the food was good and SUPER affordable. I was very impressed with this place, I had never heard of Runza until today and I will happily return if I see one again.

This was my first time at a Runza restaurant, being from southern MO. I ordered the Classic Runza with cheese along with some onion rings. This was the best sandwich I have ever eaten! The bread was soft and the meat filling was warm and savory. The “double battered” onion rings had a nice, crispy texture and were seasoned perfectly. For dessert, I had the “mint deluxe” shake, which was unlike any other milkshake I have ever had! My only complaint is that the closest location is about 300 miles away. 😉

I would've given a 5 star but they 4got to give me my drinks. Manager did send a coupon in the mail for a free combo. So that was cool.

My favorite fast food place. Friendly people working here. Best burgers for fast food places. I had Swiss cheese and mushrooms. Love their dip I added with my French fries. Choose your own drink. Meal filled me up. Good service.

Arguably the best burger I’ve ever had but the fries were some of the worst I’ve ever had, they were cold and hard.

At this location, there is no such thing as fast food service. Each time I’ve been here, I have had to wait at least twenty minutes. It is a shame because this would be my preferred place to eat along West O Street. But let us face it, nothing is fast along West O.

Tasty little fast food joint! TL:DR Great, quick stop on the outskirts of Lincoln. Tasty runza, and don't sleep on the southwest chicken salad! Details: Stopped in on the way through town because my wife suggested I try Runza. (Yes, this was my first time.) They have perfected this tasty little concoction of a sandwich, and the onion rings are great! My wife got the southwest chicken, and I was a bit jealous when I tasted how good it was! Also tried their mint shake, and you should too! Overall, great meal and dessert!

What a crummy runza. I was charging my car next door and decided to go get a fry while I waited. The lobby was a disaster, the snow was barely scooped and things were just generally In a shambles. While I waited for my fry I stood there listening to the kitchen staff tell stories, apparently about the weekend before. Two of them very loudly told stories of being so #$ed up that they could not even remember what happened. They went into great detail and swore repeatedly. I am not above using such language myself (even though I should) but they had not a care in the world about who might be around. Then right before I left the Pepsi guy showed up and they said oh we are glad you are here all of our fountain pop has black chunks floating in it. At that point I was extremely glad that I had not ordered a drink. I will say that when I got back to my car the fries were in fact excellent.

Great food and service. We have a large family and usually have a large order. A lot of times, things get forgotten, not here though.

Monday, Nov 13, 2023 The good: The restaurant appeared clean and stocked, despite a lunchtime rush. The counter staff members were smiling, very engaging, and attentive. The Production/Fry Cooks(?) did well. Our sandwiches were hot a fresh, and as expected for the chain. We never fail, over 30+ years, to stop at a Runza whenever we're going through Nebraska. The bad: The pivotal problem was, an apparent kitchen Supervisor(?), or whatever their title, was having a personal argument/issue with a Cook, which all the customers in the lobby could overhear through the kitchen window. The argument negatively impacted at least 12 customers' experiences and orders; 17 if the drive-thru customers are included, there were 5 cars in the drive-thru at the time. The apparent Supervisor(?) was the obvious agitator, and they appeared to be a college-aged, Caucasian-looking, male-appearing individual with a 4-day dark brown stubble-beard and larger than average earrings. The argument was easily overheard by all the customers in the lobby and the topic was personal and identity-politics related. We, the customers, all exchanged looks of disbelief and disgust throughout the incident. We paid had paid for our orders, not a political debate. The Super’s belligerence manifested in all the customers' orders being severely delayed. I was watching the Cook closely at that point. I could not hear anything he said, because his voice was appropriately low for the situation. He was working at full speed, despite the supervisor’s repeated disruptions and antagonism. This Supervisor’s disruption of the Cook was making a very obviously hostile work environment for the Cook, the counter staff, and the support staff. The front counter staff resorted to making awkward small-talk and constantly watching the kitchen window. It was easy to see their hands were trembling and they were embarrassed by the argument and delays. Anyone who has repeatedly eaten at a Runza has likely come to expect their order in 10-15 minutes, 20 in a mealtime rush. Runza has well refined operations. I know I stood in front of that counter for 31 minutes waiting for my order. The other customers waited at least 30 minutes for their orders. The guy behind me volunteered that he had been there 10-minutes longer than me, and I had not asked. People were getting angry enough that they were verbally volunteering their discontent to fellow customers. Fortunately, an apparent Assistant Manager or Manager, eventually entered the kitchen, disrupted the argument, and took over. Orders started moving again. Our shakes were lukewarm sludge by the time we got our order. Won’t stop at his location again.

Runza is a Nebraska staple. Like the variety of Runza's they offer. The low-key the burgers are good.

I guess I'm just not the Runza kind. The sandwich and chili were ok, just not for me. Pleasant drive thru worker gave advice as it was my 1st visit and the window girl was sweet.

We ordered 2 mushroom Swiss Runzas that were barely warm, actually bordering on cool, and a bag of fries that was barely filled. I'll be avoiding this location in the future.

A Nebraska staple when visiting! Always have to make a stop when we are in Nebraska, and it is always so good. They remind me so much a longer version of bierocks, which just hits right in my childhood.

Staff is always friendly. I feel like runzas have gotten so greasy at all of the restaurants lately that I never feel great after eating them and I don't think that was not the case several years ago

Had to try their philly runza was very good!!! My favorite is normally the cheese runza, and I tried the berry chicken salad, and it wasn't bad either. It would have been better without the nuts and didn't get the extra dressing I asked for so was a bit dry

First time trying this place and the meat pies were soooo soggy and fell apart, more onions than meat, burgers were ok, The best part of the meal was the fries. Very friendly employees, not great food.

Food is definitely amazing. I personally enjoy the chicken strip with ranch. I have also had their cheeseburger, and the buns are soft with a quality patty. I also always get twist cones, and I feel like they don't skimp. Good people, too. Happy and willing to help you.

Hopefully this review reaches all Runza stores. I know your establishments are fairly new to the food delivery through Doordash. Advice, freshly fried food should never be immediately sealed in a folded paper bag or a plastic bag that has been tied. Doing this causes the contents inside the sealed bags to get soggy much faster! Instead of folding the paper bags, just lay a couple stickers over the top of the bags and don't fold them. Putting several paper bags in a plastic bag is fine but don't tie the bag to the point it cuts of the air supply.

Runza does a great job at almost all of their locations. As well as the iconic Runza sandwich they make a mean burger that never disappoints.

Had the southwest chicken salad Buffalo chicken wrap and iced tea. My meal was FANTASTIC. And I had leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

I get tired of ordering a #7 With Onion Rings, Dr Pepper...get home...fries! Not a one time happening....

It's been years since my last visit to Runza. It sounds good. So I check the reviews just to see.. & to your point Brian, myself & my friend both got food poisoning from the west O location. That was the second time I got sick from Runza. It's sad to read reviews of people still getting sick there. Think I'll pass on Runza today.

The food here taste just like any other Runza, (pretty good), but the service on West O is awful!!! Waiting… Waiting… Waiting… Every. Single. Time. Service is so slow. Don’t waste your time

We wanted burgers for dinner, thought we'd try Runza. WOW! Yum! For a quickie burger type place it was so good! If I'm ever passing thru Nebraska again, I will definitely stop at Runza again!!

Went through the drive through. All burgers tasted like they were made from bad freezer burned meat. Fries and onion rings tasted like they were made in old oil. Pretty sure I have food poisoning now. Stay away.

The burger and runza were hot and very good but the fries were barely warm and they were soggy instead of the wonderful fries they use to have. This is twice in a row where the fries were bad so unsure if they changed something or what.

We went to Runza on West O Street. Our order was almost $30.00. Runza had the best fries. I have never got a bad order of fries from Runza ~ until tonight! I've been coming to Runza's since the early 70s. On our way to Pioneer Park our Mother would stop at the original Runza walk up shack and pick up Runza's, Fries & Soda's. Tonight was the very first time we got refried, grease soaked, hard french fries 🍟 🤢. I suppose I shouldn't comment or complain about it, but it was very disappointing. I have always bragged about Runza's French Fries and my husband moving here from California - he's loved & bragged on Runza's crispy outside pillowy inside delicious Fries too ~ Guess we won't be doing that anymore. Not all Runza Restaurants are ran the same ~ totally different experience and waste of money tonight. Plus we were surprised you could not add on to your order, the young man at the window said we would have to go back around in line. I'm surprised you folks don't have a p.o.s system that allows you to add to your orders at this location. But that saved us money, because not being able to add to the order saved us from buying more terrible French Fries 🍟.

On a road trip from Chicago to Orange 🍊 County, Ca we stopped here because runzas are supposed to be a thing in Nebraska. Not really impressed. Service was great 👍 but even our server said he doesn't really eat these things. It's bread stuffed with cheese and ground beef and cabbage. Tastes good, but way too greasy for me.

The food is cold and the drinks are hot you tell me it use to bethe food hot and drinks cold the fries were the best soft and so hot you would burn your mouth but now you ask the to be hot and they are Krispy no.

This place was busy, not many workers. I took my 3 grandchildren. It was a bit pricey for not a lot of food. I had a cheese runza but wondered where the cheese was. Don't think I'll go back.

I was so disappointed in Runza tonight. I stopped on the way home to pick up food for myself and two kids after work. When we got home, no chili, only cinnamon, no drinks for the kids meals. Chicken for salad wasn't crispy like I asked. I usually love Runza. Tonight was sad. I was so excited for the cinnamon roll and chili too. Best part they charged me for EVERY ITEM. I will be going back in the morning to speak to a manager.

The whole meal was awful. My fries were as hard as rocks and were clearly old fries they just tossed back in the fryer. The runza looked like a subway sandwich, all the meat and cabbage were on the outside of the bread. Runza is supposed to be better quality then McDonald's and that is definitely not the case at all. Is there not a manager on duty or are they just sitting in a office allowing the kids to run the show?

They were busy at the time - food quality was not good. Restaurant was filthy- not a good experience.

We used to come to this location often, and we rarely ever had any bad experiences. The service is friendly and accurate, and it was rare if they ever got any of our orders wrong, if ever. Easily the best Runza in Lincoln.

Fries have been absolutely inedible at this location for weeks. I'll have to drive across town for my runza fix from now on. Very disappointing. I can only waste my money so many times.

We visited Runza on West O and it was fabulous! Best food from Runza we've had in awhile. They were busy but our food was hot, cooked exactly right and tasted great! We even got our food in a timely manner! Impressive!

I came through on my way to work, placed an order. Neesless to say it was horrible!? The people were friendly, but the chicken was completely hard and dry! I called to let them know and talked to Susan who was supposedly the manager.? She said she wasn't there that day so she didn't know? Didn't offer another meal or anything? I will not be back! I will definitely go to another location, for I do love Runza..

I ordered a twist cone and the man handed it to me let it fall on me and just starred at me I was so angry he then asked if I wanted a bowl for that 😡😡 do not go to runza west o they are horrible

This is my go to Runza on a weekly basis. I don’t recall ever having a complaint in recent memory, but today was quite bad. I normally go in the evening and happened to go for lunch today, and we spent $30 just to throw half of our food away after getting home. Perhaps they had minimal staff. I’ll stick to getting my runza after 4pm!!!

Quality has declined considerably over the years

Our first time to eat a traditional Nebraska Runza and it was delicious. I had the mushroom Swiss and I would have it again.

I miss being able to have a Runza. They are the best when really fresh. Wish they were in more than just Nebraska. Always a must when I drive through.

If you are visiting Nebraska, you have to try a Runza sandwich! Hamburger, cabbage and onions baked in bread dough-- an old fashioned German sandwich you can only find in Nebraska (well, there is one in Lawrence, KS and a few in Iowa.) An alternative to burgers, but the burgers at Runza are also very good.

This was the first time I’d ever had Runza before and I was disappointed. The onion rings had no flavor and the fries weren’t overly special. Our runza was very smushed looking and while it tasted fine, it was just lackluster.

I refuse to give any runza a 5 star review until they release a breakfast runza with hashbrowns....

Can you go wrong with Runza? Always fresh and the onion rings or fries are perfect. I enjoy the rings the most. Friends from out of town always are surprised how great a Runza is!!

Drive thru was fast! Food was amazing! Ryan took my order. Couldn’t ask for better customer service from him. Super professional, super polite, and showed me his real personality instead of acting like a robot.10/10 recommend. Definitely worth the money!! Thanks guys! My only complaint was that my Dr. Pepper was not Dr.Pepper. But I’m so happy with the service I can’t complain.

In 2019, I with friends, attended a Badger/Cornhusker game in Lincoln. They were selling these things called Runza. I didn't know what they were, and didn't get a chance to try them then. Passing through today I stopped and ordered 2, the original and the one with Cheddar cheese. These things are delicious!!! If you're not from Nebraska, they are bread pockets filled with a mixture of ground beef, cabbage, and onions. They seasoned really well. I was bit nervous about the onion part, because I don't care for onions. But they were cut up small enough and mixed and cooked in well enough so that they don't over power the "sandwich". They have other flavors as well. I wish they had a store here in southern Wisconsin, I'd be there almost daily. Looking at the web site, it says they ship, I will be looking into that option. If you have never had one, stop in and try them, you won't be disappointed!!!

Good ol' Runza! I'm happy they have better vegetarian options now. I went here back in 2015 and didn't care for it, but this time it wasn't bad. The fries were crispy and the sandwich was hot. We sat inside the restaurant and it was clean and updated. Nice experience.
