I ordered a graduation cake from the bakery department and they did not disappoint! The cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious!!!! They have the best selection of lunch meat and the meatballs and fresh rolls are amazing. No matter what time of day you go in the staff is always so nice and very helpful!!

No cleanliness at your store? Get out. Here? Stay. Fresh...clean. And then any variety of food? Oh, my! Are we in Italy? I think so. Several butchers means little wait. I adore the soppressata. I take home "wedding soup, too". Even the cashiers are friendly (I sang an Italian aria). My mother (God bless her soul.) loved the place.

South Philly quality Italian hoagies in the suburbs. Everything I've ordered has been great, but my favorite is "Sam's Deluxe" with everything on it. The top-quality mortadella and super thin-sliced sharp provolone make it an exceptional sandwich. I walk around and pick out Italian specialty groceries while they make my sandwich. Love that they have so many hard-to-find pasta shapes and lots of prepared cook-at-home dinners (like stuffed shells, lasagna, parmigiana, etc). Only one negative thing to say: sometimes I feel a little bit like the staff is judging my shopping choices, but it's easy to ignore them. Cashiers are always super friendly.

Just walk in and take a good smell - all the cheeses and other delights make that alone worth the visit! Great Deli, their hoagie are great, all the Italian specialties and some other stuff I just don't find at the regular grocery store.

Worst microwave meals that I ever had!! Sandwiches are good. Guess I'll take that place off my goto Saturday meals 😂, I'm so sorry that I wasted my Money buying that GARBAGE!!!!! Went there Sunday for the seeded hoagie rolls but they were sold out until Monday. I called ahead on Monday to make sure that the rolls were in, and I was told yes we have plenty. I asked if they would save me a couple and I was on my way. I was told that they had plenty and there's no need for them to save me any. I got there and they only had one roll left!! What a disappointment for me to be lied to. I wanted the rolls for the Eagles game barbecue I'm having!! Now I know not to believe anything that Sam's Italian Market has to say!!!

Was here visiting and loved the tomato pie. Was good cold but great heated up. Highly recommend

Been coming here since the 80s. They've always carried good quality stuff. It's hard to find good baccala and they always seem to have it in stock. It comes dry and salted as it should be. You'll find it sealed in plastic in other places. Never buy it sealed in plastic.

Sam's is a joy to visit: the aromas, the bright colors, the tasty delights everywhere. Just on this trip, knowing I would find smoked mozzarella, I also found tender soft sun-dried tomatoes; sweet olives that were much cheaper than I would have thought; and some bright red and green—this is an Italian market, you know—bright red and green chocolate coated almonds. And the Italian bread, fresh baked rolls, whether Amoroso's or Sam's own, maybe a little too crusty for me, but still delicious with oil full of spices and herbs for dipping. We used to live much closer, and now I intend to go back much more regularly.

I'm sure I will change this rating soon but on my second visit, the sandwich was not so great. The first time it was a full sandwich. The second time, same sandwich, had two layers of meat and one layer of cheese. Not at all worthy to come from a deli. More like what you'd get from Subway! We are going back, because my first experience was brag worthy. I hope to up this rating to at least 4.5 stars.. It is a nice Deli..

I ordered the Shrimp tray, antipasto, stromboli, Chicken Marsala, and Baked Ziti from the Catering Menu. For my son's Highschool graduation. The food was delicious, proportions were generous, and quality was great.. Hoagies, Manicotti and Bakery are fabulous too. Thanks again for making our sons party fabulous. Dawn Giuffrida

Food is Great and the staff is friendly and helpful. I’ll go back again! Went back and had the Roast Pork Hoagie and believe me it was better than Altomonte’s, and Dattilo’s!!! Sam’s is definitely my Go-to place oh and the chocolate cannoli’s is definitely something good!!!

We visited Sam’s for the first time a few days ago. I’ll be the first to admit that I was never a fan of Italian hoagies….until I had theirs. The meat was fresh and full of flavor! The roll was soft and the taste was amazing! Not only were our sandwiches perfect, the homemade pound cake is to die for! This market is filled with delicious items that are sure to please! I’ll be back. 🙂

Who needs to go to South Philly when you can come here and get all the delicious baked goods, homemade pasta and sauces/gravy. I came here looking for a ricotta cheesecake and they carry them. And it's absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Don't be fooled by how small the store outside looks. This place carries all your Italian staples. I'll be back.

Ordered every week and every week there's an issue. Management responds with "it's a mistake. What do you want me to do." His first response when confronted months ago was " I don't know what to tell you. It's these employees." He honored a free hoagie the following week. Since then the pieces on everything went up $2.

2022-Update Still the local gem i reviewed this place as in 2014! It's a small store that has a great deal to offer. Yummy Italian treats of all kinds from pastas and soups, to fresh homemade meatballs, full years of lasagna, salads, Italian meats, desserts, you name it! But the pride and joy has to be the amazing deli where you can get the absolute finest sliced meats and cheeses and sandwiches ready to eat. This is truly one of, if not the finest Italian delis in an area that has many. If you are anywhere in reasonable driving distance, take a trip and check it out!

BC and Miss Karen who left negative reviews on the macaroni salad seem to go to places and leave nasty reviews, just click on them. Who the heck leaves a 5 star review for Walmart???? Sounds like the family had Omicron. Never been sick from any product here. They have always had the freshest ingredients. This place is legit! They make some of the freshest sandwiches iv'e had. The East Coast has many good sandwiches, yet they are all unique and different, the bread they use here is amazing, the meats taste top notch. Not overly dressed, but perfect. Excellent market, fairly priced, good Cannoli. Make sure you visit when your in the Horsham area.

I bought the macaroni salad and never again. I got Food Poisoning from it. Diarrhea for hours and had to be hospitalized. I will never come back!

Don't go to this place. Don't get the macaroni salad! I bought it last Wednesday (2/09/22) and my family and I had food poisoning from it and vomited and had diarrhea for hours. We had to go to the hospital twice. Finally have enough energy to post this. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The rating pertains to the hoagie. I think that they are the best I ever had. I order the mozzarella hoagie, which is vegetarian and has broccoli rabe and roasted peppers. I have ordered a similar one at Primo’s, but it doesn’t come close to the one at Sam’s. The rest of the store is amazing as well. Certainly not the least expensive place, but an extensive collection of yummy food stuffs. Addendum: the spinach Stromboli is the bomb, also

10/10 would recommend! First of all, Breakfast is all day and everything is baked fresh on site! The staff is super wholesome, accommodating, and friendly. Did I mention the food was also good? A very good spot to grab homemade food and pastries!

Great Italian deli. Fresh meats, nice products to put in your freezer so you can have a night off. Desserts to die for.

By far the best hoagies in the area. Everything is fresh and the quality is top notch! Make sure you wear a sweatshirt when you go in as it is always freezing! Worth the cold though to get a sandwich here. A bit pricey and there's usually a wait but there's a reason so many people shop here. You won't be disappointed.

I grew up in Olney in Philadelphia. I was in Sam's store at least once a day. I even worked there one day as a child. I am 60 years old now. I just found the new store in willow grove. It's the same great store!! Thanks Sam!
