I don’t usually write reviews, but when I do, I prefer to do so for places truly fantastic and deserving such as this one. I recently dined here for a grad event and it was a phenomenal experience all around the board including food, service, ambiance, and staff. Lara took care of us and was knowledgeable, timely, and had a great attitude. The food runners were top notch and got the right items to the right people with speed and accuracy. Everyone enjoyed the medley of appetizers and desserts for the table including broiled gulf shrimp, sticky orange beef tips, whipped feta, key lime cheesecake, strawberry white chocolate bread pudding, crème brûlée, and last but 100% not least, our peanut butter pie to go or as they sometimes call it, the rare and elusive PBTG/PeebTeeg. I went with the Ribeye and it was amazing. Also, our dishes, glasses, and utensils were immaculate and shined brighter than Earth Wind and Fire’s “Shining Star.” Bartenders Vic and Alex had us meowing and howling at the moon all night with our “cat’s meows” and “werewolves” respectively. Additionally, I found the tiny bubbles in my wine, (champagne in this case,) to be rather enjoyable. Alex also managed to help me with my pocket square. Our water glasses never dwindled thanks to the big show put on by table steward Elijah and hydration specialist Chris. I found the latter to have excelled in his role and have the potential chops to be a server down the road and the former’s future is bright and is capable of whatever he so chooses. Owners Drew and Kim are special people leading a special place. It was refreshing to share a meal with loved ones and be able to enjoy each other’s company and conversation in such a fast-moving society where technology too often takes priority. To say it lived up to its “hub of hospitality” reputation would be quite the understatement. Chef Brian Knepper brought the most to the table, even for this very discriminating aspiring Gastronome. Well done Savour, well done indeed!

Just wanted to separate all the different factors in this restaurant. Service staff and bar tenders, and anyone walking around serving was amazing!! Super friendly, all made great conversations. They very inviting to new guests and made sure to attend to everyone coming in, and already seated. Loved them, especially Sam and Alex, the bartenders made the environment so much more fun and relaxed. Easily helped me out with drink requests and kept up small talk humorously. Food was ok, however it was way too salty for my liking. I couldn’t finish my Halibut, but the rest was still enjoyable. The drinks were amazing, and I enjoyed them a lot, coming from something not on the menu, Sam made a wonderful drink reminding me of a Spicy Socialite.

Fantastic evening at Savour! Met by the owner Drew at the door. Fantastic service by Alex and the rest of the staff. Grilled Plum and Halloumi salad- excellent! Wedge Salad- elevated to gourmet level. Fabulous halibut and wonderful Bouillabaisse. Key Lime Cheesecake was the perfect end to a great meal- decadent yet light and refreshing. Service and presentation were spot on. Portions were just right. We were treated like regulars on our first visit. It definitely won't be our last! Thanks so much!

It is one of our favorite places in the known universe. The food is spectacular, something for everyone. The service is impeccable, but it goes way beyond that, super friendly and attentive. The owners are amazing, super friendly, not just to us, and other frequent guests, but even if it's your first time. If you're in Tallahassee and looking for one of the top 2 or 3 places for drinks, dinner, and deserts, then do yourself and your guests a favor. Go to Savour, but be forwarned, call ahead for reservations, or you may not get a table as they are almost always sold out. Had the pork chop last, fantastic, the wedge salad, and 2 (yes, 2) bananas foster flan along with the plum sorbet for desert.

Upscale restaurant that does everything well. This is a great spot for a special date night, though they also cater to business dinners. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. I had the halibut which was delicious. The cocktails are unique and tasty, and superhero themed which we liked. We went on a Thursday night and there was space at the bar, but table reservations the day before were limited to early or late, so reserve early even on off days.

Tonight was my wife birthday and from the moment we walked in, the greeting from the own made us feel very welcome. We had a waiter named(Sam) who was the most entertaining and informative guy ever. Flew into Tallahassee and this place was recommended. I said "Ok". Glad I did cuz it's really good! Fish is very nice and flakey and the shrimp and grits is stellar. The cocktails are great. I had the Wonder Woman bourbon cocktail and I felt I was chilling with Gal Gadot. For an app I had shrimp empanadas and they didn't disappoint. At this moment I am waiting for desert. I ordered a key lime cheesecake. I bet my left leg it's gonna be really yum yum.

Took my husband to Savour for his birthday, and had a wonderful experience! Their espresso martini, The Flash, was the best I ever had. Bison meatballs to the Steak Frites to the crème brûlée was just delicious. Took an Uber to eliminate the issue of parking downtown altogether. 10/10 We will be back.

We stepped in for a cocktail and a light dinner around 8:00. It was a bit late but we were in need of something light. Great atmosphere. We split a wedge salad that was perfect. We also split the filet which was amazing. Best filet I've enjoyed in quite some time. Enjoyed a Star Lord cocktail and coffee to wrap things up. Our waiter had such a great attitude and friendly demeanor that I gave him a $75 tip on a $117 dollar bill. A great end to a wonderful day in Tallahassee.

Added more photos... ‡‡‡ ORIGINAL POST ‡‡‡ This was our second time dining at Savour. In my best Howard Hewitt voice, the second time around was better than the first time. And the first time was fantastic. I have been in a reviewing mode as of late so I will continue... The Location | It is on Park, next to the DoubleTree, and across from the Park Ave parks filled with huge oak trees and moss which is well lit to glow beautifully at night. Good vibes when you walk out of Savour in the evening. Street parking on Park is available metered until 18:00 (I think), and easily accessible. The Space | It has that a new age old southern decor and feel. The seating and tables are a little tight but you will forget about it once the food arrives. Yum. The space appears to have three different ecos: the bar área, the quiet side, and the back. We were on the quiet side. The Service | The front of the house was good and engaging. I do not recall the woman's name but she was lovely and communicative. We had a reservation and we were seated quickly. Sam waited our table and it is clear that he loves what he does. He was knowledgeable, helpful, candid, funny, engaging, and when I told him that I don't drink alcohol and wanted a Mocktail with Coconut, he said: I got you. He came back with a drink that was excellent *and* a challenge: 'if you can name the ingredients in the Mocktail, you dinner is on the house.' What? After a few questions to set the rules of engagement, we got six of 7. It was a fun challenge and I appreciated it because I am always searching for good NA dranks. The Vibe | It was all about the Food, us (the Customer), and Sam (the conduit between the Food and the Customer). The Food | Fantastic...for a second time. We ordered two dranks, two appetizers, two entrées, and a dessert. • Coconut Mocktail. It was very good. Once I learned what the ingredients were, I realized that I couldn't taste some of them. I will perfect this at home. Thanks to the bartender for sharing the recipe and for the challenge. • The Shazam. It was ok. • Classic Caesar. Hard to make a bad one and the homemade croutons are a nice touch. • Tuna Tostones. It was one of the special that night. It should be a regular menu item. The plantain cup was a perfect vessel for that sushi item. We are still tasting that one. • Thai Snapper. It was ok. I am not sure that we would order it again. The Asian flavors were different and dynamic. The snapper was a little dry and maybe it needed to be in the sauce with more sauce. I dunno. • Shrimp and Grits (No Sausage). Well done. So very well done. Better than any that I have had in a long time. What made it sooo good was the sauce, the veggies in the sauce, and the thick consistency of the grits which held together underneath that crazy good sauce. It was so good that I asked for a soup spoon. • Lemon-Blueberry French Bread Pudding. Sheesh. Loved it. We should have ordered two. The Price | $130 before tax & tip. The Summary | Favorite Restaurant in Tallahassee. Chef Brian Knepper does it well and no one does it better in Tallahassee. Chef Knepper, What can I do - work? pay? - for the recipes for the Shrimp and Grits and the Lemon-Blueberry French Bread Pudding?

This is hands down the best place to dine in Tallahassee. The food was spectacular and cooked with perfection. We got the Superman and Shazam drinks with beef tips, whipped feta and for our entrees we had the steak frittes and macaroni and cheese. The atmosphere was intimate and vibrant. The restaurant is nice but they may need to freshen the paint or they could be going for that “lived in” distressed look. It’s nicely decorated though, but on a Saturday night it’s so loud and we were in a room off the main dining area. The food was nice. I thought the shrimp in my dish were average, they didn’t taste super fresh but the dish was well seasoned. Service was a bit underwhelming. We waited over 15 minutes after we were seated for our server to greet us and we had to ask for a drink refill from a different server during the meal, after we asked someone else for a refill. It was a nice experience and I would recommend it to someone who had never gone and wanted to try it but the service and ambiance doesn’t match the high cost.

Took my dad here last year for his birthday and we both enjoyed it! The food was very good and the service was amazing. Hats off to the chef and the whole cooking team. The server had the perfect of balance of checking in on us and letting us enjoy. Savour (restaurant). One of the best culinary experiences in town. They have a rotating charity drink and specials, in addition to the standard menu. I got the 28oz porterhouse. Its was cooked to medium perfectly. The cocktails are superhero themed, which is unique for such a upscale restaurant. The desserts tonight were a peanut butter oreo pie and a keylime pie, which was the best Ive ever had, as I like mine tart and most places cant get it that way. They have have some highly skilled chefs creating expert food. Its definitely worth your time for special occasions!

[edit 10 December 2023] Still nearly perfect service of attentive but not overbearing except that initial attention after being seated, with a reservation, seemed long. Caesar salad was excellent, except for no anchovy flavor, as far as perfect amount of dressing and salt/acid/creaminess and with a good bit of garlic. Wedge salad with a "ranch" dressing, only in quotes cuz so much better than what I think of as ranch, was also great. Rosemary shrimp were a little over this time but still very tasty. Thai fish was great. The "bouillabaisse" broth had ok seasoning but had zero depth of flavor that a bouillabaisse should have; think thin watery broth and a little tomato with some saffron and salt. As a soup, it sucked, but the seafood was perfectly cooked. For a two person reservation, we got a half-table against a wall that worked surprisingly well but still felt a little like a kid's table although with surprisingly comfy seats. If I had only gotten the bouillabaisse, I'd give three stars for the watery broth, but everything else, including great service, keeps them at five. [older] Overall the food was great and service was that great mix of attentive but not overbearing. They were also awesome enough to comp a dessert for my wife because this was a birthday/mother's day dinner. (Starting with negatives below cuz so much was so good.) I completely understand running out of menu items, but we were not told that they were out before I, for maybe the first time ever, decided before my family on an entree, or when ordering desserts that there was only one left of the one we all wanted (and yes the server knew both times before taking our orders and so not like he went back and found out the last ones had been ordered out from under us). Mac n cheese is supposed to be pasta coated in a creamy cheesy mornay type sauce; theirs was overcooked unseasoned pasta on top of barely seasoned melted cheese with untoasted cracker crumbs on top with a bad aftertaste that I think was overuse of truffle oil and was a shocking contrast to the rest of the meal in how bad it was but they took that off the bill. Three beef dishes were cooked absolutely perfectly to order and were very good to excellent with their sauces, but the filet had zero inherent seasoning, which would have gotten them kicked off of MasterChef Junior, and so was just a little disappointing. Caesar salad was good but unremarkable, needed more lemon juice and a touch more dressing, I would have liked the side anchovies minced so that I could easily mix in to my liking. Also I would have liked to have seen a good mixed greens or arugula or something salad choice, as  Caesar and wedge salads as two out of the three choices seemed pretty outdated/boring since it's not 1970. Shrimp app was excellent, with meaty, well-seasoned shrimp, a sauce that was a perfect balance of salt and acidity with a little zip, some umami, and just a little bit of sweetness and grilled but not mouth-hurtingly hard ciabatta to mop up the extra sauce. Creme brulee and peanut butter chocolate pie were great. Whatever mocktail they came up with for my son based on a flavor profile description was genius and also very pretty. It may sound like I hated the place, but I'm being more critical because of the price point. Still five stars cuz so much was so good.

My husband and I have had dinner at Savour for our anniversary for the past 2 years and both times were great. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. The service is always wonderful and worthy of a special occasion (or not!) Sam was our server and he was awesome. The food was delicious and the drinks on par. We also love to sit at the bar and have lite bites and drinks. Go to Savour, you won’t be disappointed!

The hostess was superb she was very pleasant complimentary and extremely helpful. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived which was great no waiting. It took a bit for us to get our Appletini drink due to the fact of so-called confusion between the waitress and bar which I didn't understand but we just rolled with it. The Caesar salad came with no anchovies but the staff was very obliging and were able to bring us some as well the whipped feta cheese appetizer was phenomenal, just had to eat around the burnt pita! The dinner, orange beef tips simply tender and delicious. The Herb Chicken was ok, little dry, and mashed potatoes with carrots were good. The décor of the restaurant was really nice rustic upscale look. It was rather noisy for a Wednesday night dinner it was hard to hear my date. The parking was a lot of it tricky we had to walk down and across the park but not too bad. I will definitely try again at another time see if it's a different experience.

Quite possibly the best fine dining experience I have had in my life. The owners go out of their way to introduce themselves, making the experience extremely personal and intimate. Along with that, my party was given complimentary Prosecco and dessert for our birthday celebration. The food was phenomenal, but nothing compares to the hospitality. If I could come here on a daily basis, trust me I would. I cannot give this place nearly the credit it deserves. Come soon and come often if you enjoy having wonderful experiences.

Excellent location for a special event. Made a Friday night reservation and our table was ready upon arrival despite it being a busy evening. The food was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Seasonal specials make each visit a unique experience. Oh, save a little room for dessert or you’re just missing out. Tonight was the first time I had been to Savour. I went with all my brothers and their wives. Let me first start off with our waiter Alex. He was amazing! Very knowledgeable, he knew all the dishes as well as the daily special. He suggested the daily special which today was Sea Scallops with mushroom risotto. I think four or five of us ordered that. It was wow!! Oh and the Mac and Cheese with truffles....... wow just wow!! I will definitely be back! And I'll take some friends with me!!

This is the crown jewel of restaurants in Tallahassee. Victor at the bar is amazing. I had a French martini and the scallop special of the evening. It couldn’t have been any better. Finished it off with the crème brûlée. I will visit every time I’m in Tally. Great spot for gluten free eaters like myself!

I had heard a lot about Savour. I went here expecting really great food and a really great experience and got both! I bought the Filet and it was as tender and delicious as it could be. It came with asparagus that were equally comparable. Best of all, in addition to the extraordinary quality, the prices are entirely reasonable. 10/10 recommend!

If you are looking for high class high society type dinning experiences, this is the place. Prices are high but once you enter, eat and experience the vibe you'll get it! Food was cook just how I like it, drinks where tasty and made how I like it. Atmosphere was classy and enjoyable. 10 out of 10 in my book.

I’m not sure if I’d return but I’d love to share the positives first. The service here is excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and made some great recommendations. We were celebrating a family event that the host and waiter made sure to mention. An extra touch like that really goes a long way to make the night special. We even called earlier in the week to amend our reservation and the person who answered the phone was incredibly friendly and helpful! Here are the bright spots in the food: The brussel spouts with gochujang were so unique and we really enjoyed them. The truffle Mac and cheese was probably one of the better Mac and cheeses I’ve had in town. The truffle flavor is definitely up front but it never takes away from the creaminess. The coffee rub steak was flavored beautifully and cooked to perfection and while I didn’t try the shrimp and grits, the person at our table who ordered that dish was more than satisfied. The drinks (spicy margarita, regular margarita and one other cocktail on their menu) were all well balanced and lovely. The creme brûlée, while a little too floral for my personal taste, was also done very nicely. Here is where I was not impressed: the charcuterie board appetizer fell flat. It felt like one that I could buy off a shelf and for something like $25 was just really underwhelming. The pork osso buco was shockingly unseasoned. While the dish was clearly a good idea, trying to balance the meat with a creamy mushroom risotto, the flavor didn’t really rise up to meet the mark. That meat needed a lot of seasoning love that just wasn’t there. The fish special for the day, I believe it was a snapper, tasted overdone and dry. The pot de creme, while delicious in the flavor of the chocolate, was not a mousse consistency and instead was the consistency of pudding. I will say, the restaurant was very hot inside when we went which I have a feeling may have been why the consistency of the mousse was off. Our table had such different experiences during the same outing that I am not sure if it was a fluke or an off night? I do feel that if you go out to a nicer place, every dish that is ordered should be executed to the highest level, especially if you are paying for an elevated experience. And with such an inconsistent experience, I’m not sure if it would be worth another shot or not.

The dishes I had were okay. Not bad, but I wouldn't hurry back to get. Service was passable. But barely. Pork Osso Buco was dry. Mushroom risotto was tasty. The peanut butter pie was okay, but the genache was too thick for my taste.

My husband and I had dinner here for our 14th anniversary last night. When we first arrived to check in for our reservations, the wonderful greeting really set the mood. We were seated immediatly at this beautiful intimate table, not too long after our waitress arrived Jessie. She was so helpful for the entirety with all of our questions, and we had a lot being that this was our first time. The customer service was at it's upmost best, from beginning to end. Everyone we interacted with was extremely pleasant and really made you feel special. All of our dishes were absolutely delicious, all cooked to perfection. We both had steak dinners which were up and beyond and ended with bread pudding for dessert, totally mouthwatering. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a special celebration. It is a MUST try!!

Just an absolutely lovely evening. Danny, our server was outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu and engaging. The osso bucco was exquisite, the mushroom risotto was perfect. Went for my birthday and had excellent food! Get the spinach and potato au gratin, excellent. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and my parents enjoyed the shrimp and grouper entrees. My dad said it was the best grouper he has had in his life, super high praise! Because my parents are…mature…the chairs could be more comfortable. Overall, pricey and worth it for a special occasion.

Today is my birthday this restaurant decided not to accept us because the party they say they don’t accept large parties. It’s 8 people and we called ahead of time, then they told us to call the day of. We were told this by whoever answered theirs phones to call the day of and that’s not the case. Now I have to find another place for my family to eat on my birthday. Why would you call the day of for a reservation? I use Open Table often I have never been turned down for business. It’s a Wednesday and it feels like discrimination to me. Then the owner stated that basically what I’m saying didn’t happen (gaslighting). Then offered a private room for $250 but didn’t tell my sister this when she called. Beware of what this establishment is doing. I don’t want to even try this place having this experience.

Had an amazing experience here. The best service I've had at a restaurant that I can remember. And it's pricey but not outrageous - three cocktails, an appetizer, and two entrees came to $124 with tax, which is lower than a couple of the other prestige Tally restaurants.

Booked a reservation for husbands birthday. Requested a chilled bottle of champagne to be table side upon arrival, it was perfect! Also, we ordered a specialty old fashioned - delish. We started with a wedge and bison albondigas (meatballs), then hubby ordered Osso Buco and I got the blackened grouper. Dessert was a peanut butter pie, yummy - must love peanut butter to appreciate. We have been here several times, it is consistent.

Savour, a fine dining experience in Tallahassee. Everything was perfect. We ordered the Bouillabaisse, Pan Roasted Chicken, and Filet. All dishes were sublime. Our server was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and there are options almost every palate or dietary restriction. The wine selection with offerings both on and off the menu were lovely. I can not imagine going anywhere else for a special meal.

My husband and I have eaten in great restaurants all over the world and last night's experience at Savour was on par with some of the best restaurants we have eaten at. Our salads, BBQ shrimp, bouillabaisse and shrimp and grits were excellent. They had unique and complex flavors. The pot de creme and creme brulee were also excellent. The service was friendly and perfect. The ambience very nice. The restaurant was close to being full but not noisy. We will definitely go back regularly.
