Great place to grab coffee, food and hang out for a bit.

My girlfriend and I came here in the morning for coffee and breakfast. We were not disappointed! The vibe is so good and the place is gorgeous. They have so many fun chairs and tables to sit at. I got a blonde latte and a breakfast burrito, both of which were so good! My girlfriend got a caramel frappe and a breakfast croissant, which she loved. I would highly recommend this place. The staff was super nice and friendly as well!! 10/10

Wonderful place to stop and have a great cup of coffee. The people are so nice and a pleasure to talk to. The coffee smell is fantastic when you walk thru the door and even better when you get your cup.

My wife loves their pimento and cheese. I had them make me a Breve (sp?) Like my daughter does (she worked as a barista in college. They nailed it.

Went to pick up cold coffee for my daughter and granddaughter. Place was buzzing!! They lived it. Great place to meet friends and eat.

I had a fantastic experience at The Second Street Bean! The ambiance was so inviting, with cozy seating and a calming atmosphere that made it a perfect spot to unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. And let's not forget their lavender tea – it was absolutely delightful, a soothing and aromatic treat that I thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait to visit again!

The ambiance is amazing. Kind of gives a Alice and wonderland vibe on the outside paintings. Wonderful food and drinks. Hayley and Lexi made my drinks and served my food. They were very nice and polite and had knowledge of the menu. We will definitely be back.

They continue to rain supreme in this dinker town. The coffee is strong, they keep their machine calibrated. Their foam game is on point and so is their attitude.

Love it, has a neat art gallery attached featuring locally derived art works from paintings to stained glass, and metalworks and others. It's hard to put one of our coffee shops in a favorite category, they're all great and different. Each one offers a new flavor and scene! Great folks and great foods and drinks choices!

We stopped in during the downtown holiday festivities. Our coffees and snacks were delicious. We will be back.

Incredibly cozy place! Took our order and then lost the ticket. Took a while but they realized their mistake. Offered us a free pastry to make up for it, so picked the cinnamon roll. It was dry and seemed like it had been around at least a couple days. Breakfast menu looked good. I would try going here again.

This coffee ☕shop is 👍great! I needed an amazing cup of coffee in an attempt to get perked up for grocery shopping....and Second Street Bean was the place to go! Great staff, and they have a huge menu too. Their prices are good and they sell everything from 👕t-shirts to coffee beans. Even though they were busy they had everybody's order out fast & this is just one of those places that's fun to go to. Highly recommend 🏆🏆🥇🥇

Fresh ingredients, comfortable and eclectic atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the chicken salad croissant. It's my go-to at the Bean. I also enjoyed an iced coffee flavored with cinnamon and white chocolate. Yummy! Also they have an extensive selection of flavored syrups for sale, along with little coffee-oriented gift items and snacks. There are books available if you would like to relax and read while you enjoy a beverage or food. And a kid's corner with books and toys. Really makes it fun to eat local!! Full disclosure: I know the new owner. But it's all true, and she is carrying on with the quality and atmosphere the Second Street Bean has been known for since opening. Well, maybe even better!

The food is always delicious! I love the breakfast burrito and chai latte. Definitely recommend this place to have some great food!

It’s better than Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and McDonald’s. When the Christmas celebrations are happening downtown I always go to 2nd St. Bean (I recommend the London Fog tea).

They were closed for a private event, a wedding that I attended, and the food was wonderful, the decorations were beautiful and the staff was great. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

I only give it a three stars because it says they close at 5 but I got there at 4:43 and first thing she does is look at me like what the hell you doing here so I say I'll I need is two coffees ands she tells me she has soap in the expresso blender.I've worked in a lot of places and 4:43 is not 5...But I do love their coffees when they do have good employees.

A delightful find in Columbus, MS on the main boulevard in town. Pleasant quirks from the bottle tree outside ( which captures bad spirits) to unusual food choices to the best ever macadamia nut cookies to quiet nooks and couches to relax in. Handicapped accessible, street parking only, clean restrooms

I love the ambience in this eclectically furnished coffee shop. Has great indoor seating options for chilly or rainy days and nice outdoor options for warm weather. I have experienced both. The food and coffee is great too!

This coffee shop hits different. At every turn, you see the eclectic taste of the owners with arts displaying every wall. Visual artists are invited near and far, some painting murals outside, some hanging paintings, drawings and prints of photography. It's really THE spot in Columbia. (It's a secret though, so don't tell anyone)

Super cute spot! Good mix of regular table-and-chairs seating and the cozy couches and armchairs that you'd hope for in a coffee shop. It was steadily busy through the late morning and afternoon while I was there, but never so crowded that folks couldn't find a seat. The tables are well-spaced and the baristas wore masks, so it's social distancing friendly. I had a sausage breakfast sandwich and the Cinnamon Roll latté - both were excellent, and I can't wait to try out more of their menu. They have a fast wifi connection and a punch card for your 10th coffee free, so they really have everything you could ask for! This will definitely be a regular spot for me.

Second Street is a gem. The staff are fantastic and I've never had a bad meal or pastry from here. Their specials are always amazing.

I love this place, but don’t try to go even remotely close to closing time. I was there at 4:50 and was rudely told they were closed. 4:50 isn’t 5:00, shocking I know.

Good coffee, decent prices and I like the whole library/coffee shop vibe the place has.. grab a seat at a table wit stools, the counter or in a comfy chair around a Coffee Table.. Hey.. is that why they... Nevermind... Does a great job at being smart and serene without the pretentious feel of a place trying to be something it's not.. Well done Second Street... Well done indeed..

top quality coffee in a great atmosphere.

I live in Columbia Mississippi and have tried each and every restaurant they have and this one has always been my favorite, so much culture and art, sophisticated and laid back, reccomend if you want a great coffee or sweet treat or gyro, also they have salads and acai bowls. Has smoking area outside and you can vape inside. Clean bathrooms and in the middle of downtown so you can walk to one of Columbia's beautiful historic shops, every purchase downtown benefits the city.

There was a reeeally cool girl there with a cool haircut that waited on me. Excellent customer service, and honestly cheered me up during a bad time.

The atmosphere is FANTASTIC. The food is delicious.....unfortunately I can't recommend anything but the BLT w/pimento because I can't get past that on the menu....have it every time. The manager and staff are great.

Love this Café! The coffee and treats are delicious. Way better than going to Starbucks Coffee in Hattiesburg. It has a lot of charm and a home feeling in the building, nice outdoor spot to eat. Great view from the restaurant. I recommend this café over almost every restaurant in Columbia!

Best lunch in Columbia. Terrific sandwiches, wraps, and salads, super cool atmosphere with books and art galore, and they make surprisingly delicious coffee drinks. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but that's not enough to dock it a star. I'm a fan of the cool art gallery next door, too.

So good! Relaxed atmosphere, great coffeehouse. Awesome food from their salads to the CBR. Good selection of pastries. I can't believe that I had no clue about the Second Street Bean. I will be back.

We've been coming here for 6 years now. Always and I mean always great service. Awesome prices and great people. The owner is a blessing to the Columbia business community and should be praised for all her hard work. Second street is a remarkable place in a town where the unremarkable passes as high class.

An almost typical local coffee house. Almost! Yep, the food is anything but typical! Not only is it great, it is made there instead of coming from a truck. Awesome really.

A unique atmosphere for a great salad or a sandwich. The brownies are scrumptious. Enjoy with family or friends.

While I loved the chic feel of the place, the coffee didn't impress. I have had better from a gas station. The service was also mediocre, she didn't seem happy to have a customer.
