So, my mom (80 yrs. old) says "I'm so tired of average barbecue; I wish we had some sure enough black persons barbecue like when I was young." I'm no genie but, Shaw Nuff I found it! They serve until the meats gone so I'd go early or order ahead. I've added one picture of where the magic happens.

Corn needed more seasoning but otherwise it was great BBQ. Much better than Podnuhs or Danken Trail.

Look here, look here, look heeaa‼️‼️ Best BBQ I’ve had since 2007! My Uncle was the grill master before his passing. This meat is PERFECT! Chicken isn’t dry, don’t take forever to chew, the ribs are perfect as well…You can TASTE the smokiness of the wood used in the meat…and don’t worry bout need all the extra thick sauce, the light gravy like sauce is ENUFF! Too much sauce WILL take away from the perfectly skilled labor of love that produced this meat.

If you eat here you'll not what to eat at any other BBQ place again. It's that good.

Amazing food at very good prices! We were traveling and stopped at the hotel next door. We walked over and were very happy with this choice. Extremely tasty and enormous servings. Best choice of our trip :)

I’m from Baton Rouge and was working in the area for the day. I passed by and got a whiff of the smoke coming outta this place. Mmmm mmm! C’est si bon. I got 3 big ribs on top of sliced smoked sausage with baked beans and potato salad. The sauce was the boss and the sides were on point. It’s priced right too. If you ever need a hug from the inside, this is it.

If you are looking for a smoked meal, this is the spot. I had the ribs and chicken enjoyed them. I had the potato salad and baked beans both were very good. I had the koolaid and tea both were a miss. These are my tastebuds.😋

This BBQ place is on point! Great food and reasonable prices. 3 Ribs 2 pieces of chicken leg and thigh and sliced smoked sausage with baked beans and tater salad and a slice of light bread! Definitely worth the price!

Best BBQ in Monroe hands down. Super friendly and welcoming guys running the place as well. Almost hesitant to tell anyone about this because I dont want it running out before I get there for lunch, but damn, I want nothing but success for these guys. Don't waste your time at podnuhs or BBQ west, they're literally dog food compared to this joint. Go here.

The service was great here, the people were super nice. I got the three meat plate with beans and potato salad it was good the ribs and chicken was tender and moist if y'all can stop by cuz it was good that's all l can say.

The best place in Monroe hands down! The ribs were tender smoky perfection! The sausage was so freaking good! The sides were dang delicious too! The guys running the place are so welcoming. Count us as new regulars! It was love at first bite!

Pretty good, I really enjoyed the bbq. I usually don't care too much for side dishes because I'm usually disappointed however the potato salad was great with the baked beans. Would recommend.

This is an absolutely amazing place, super cool guy here, and me and my kids got the best bbq plate I've ever had. A little bit of every bbq meat plate. Hands down, most fabulous dinner that I ever didn't cook myself!

I travel the country for a living. I've had BBQ all the way from California and up to new Hampshire. This is by far the best I've ever ate and always look forward to it every time I'm home.

Driving across country ( CA to SC) and found this gem of a place. Authentic Southern bbq which tasted wonderful!

I think there are two kinds of people in the world: those who say they love BBQ, and liars. Shaw Nuff is a small, homely BBQ joint in Monroe that's probably hard to see if you're not looking for it. Once you park and go inside though, you're greeted by a welcoming staff and the smell of good cooking. The plates themselves are generous portions of the usual BBQ suspects, including ribs, pork, beef, chicken, and sausage. It's well worth a visit; I'd say it's even a hidden gem in town.

D BEEF AND RIBS ARE GOOD BUT THERE IS NO CONSISTENCY IN TENDERNESS ONE DAY MEAT MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH D NEXT DAY CHEWE , TOUGH I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHO'S COOKING

Driving all the way from California to Florida, at some point along the way my pops and I needed to get our barbecue on. We started looking for a spot on our way through Texas and waited until the vibe was right and Shaw Nuff we found this joint. It was bangin. 11/10 would definitely recommend.

This place is very good.. You get lots of meat and the side items are really good. I would recommend it if you like good barbecue.

Great Sausage, RIBS, Bake Beans, Green Bean. Only $10 +tax . My wife and I split it, and we had plenty. Can’t wait to be back in town.

I am from Kansas City. Been to many BB places there. Shaw Nuff BBQ really did a great job. Right up there with the best in KC. I wish they had a place to eat in and not just take out.

Sam is my personal buddy. I knew him when he worked for podnuh barbecue. He moved and still in business and that was in the early 90's.

I use to stop by here a lot while working for a old job I had. This guy really had some good BBQ and was very friendly! Note at that time he was only there on select days since he actually towed his place to different spots during the week. But I thing he actually has a permanent location here.
