One of my favorite places in Gibsonton fl

The bartender Dana she’s a little firecracker, funny very customer driven. Is that what I want to say the customer is never without?

Really laid back atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. Definitely plan on going back. The family and I love this place.

Been here twice and the food is good everytime. The bartenders are always nice and the customers are always friendly. They are very generous with their portions, my drink had me dizzy. Would recommend even if you don't drink, they have daily deals for food.

This a chill place and their cook knows how to make a burger and not kill it. Definitely a nice lunch spot.

I didn't even get half a hamburger in my meatloaf dinner for meat what a rip off and the other 2 times I have been there I have been treated very badly once my order wasn't even placed I learned after I waited 30 minutes and when I asked about the order I was told my order wasn't even placed and the price are sending your people to Aj's bar and grill

A true dive bar that serves really good food. The burgers are the bomb and huge. Watching your weight? The salads are great and generously served. We were very impressed how good the service was as well.

It's a great place to go. Biker friendly. Drinks are real reasonable. Food is the best bar you'll ever eat.

A little bit out of the way, but they do have karaoke Friday. Drink prices are pretty good. Only ate the French fries, but they were delicious.

I believe I was here and a few kids were out doing karaoke. Kinda my atmosphere but not with the kids running around

Things started off good.. server gave a few recommendations and things she didn’t like and seemed pleasant. Food was very good, I ordered patty melt with the tater tots. Problem was when I received bill. First I just got the credit card total receipt and not the itemized. I had a feeling the bill was a little high and asked for the itemized receipt. I then saw I was charged $1.50 for the side of tater tots in addition to the $12.99 for the sandwich but the tip of the menu says all burgers, sandwiches come with choice of fresh cut fries, regular fries or tots. I brought it to the servers attention that there was an overcharge and she said “No I did it right there’s an upcharge for the tots” I then showed her the menu and the manager came over. The manager said “well, I’m going to go ahead and give you your $1.50 back but there is an up charge for the tater tots” I again showed her the menu. She then stated that the option for tots as a side was a misprint. I asked and how am I suppose to know that and how is that my problem? How many people do you charge for tots as a side and they don’t even know it? What could have been a good experience ruined by lack of common sense and complete stupidity.

Darts, two pool tables, jukeboxes, Pac-Man arcade game, with loads of history. Have you ever heard of the man named Grady Stiles? Well he used to reside here In Gibsonton, he was a circus performer and he had a wild deformity Ectrodactlyly, he had hands and feet like claws and it made his life very intriguing. Either way, when he wasn’t preforming and showcasing his deformation. He would come here, it’s awesome to be here finally.

Bartender is a real nice and it was a pleasant quiet and and to hear each other's house

Fun place! Live music weekends. Karaoke, One Plastic tip dart boards a couple pool tables. $3.75 16 oz PBRs what more can you ask for? Maybe 50 cents cheaper. Really good food in the kitchen too at reasonable prices. You want a salad they have a couple offerings.

I lived in Gibsonton for many years until we decided to sell our home and move a little south of there. I used to frequent show town when the original owner was still there. We still come through every chance we get as we still come to visit our friends. I will say some things are better since the bar has been passed on to a family member I don't hear about fighting as much but I will say some things are not. The past few times we stopped through there we ordered food we were not impressed. Normally show town has excellent food but this cook that they have back there it took her forever to get our order out and then it was overcooked. When the bartender who by the way was extremely nice said something to her about overcooking our food she gave us a dirty look as if it was our fault. Usually we go there and there's a man working but for some reason it's a really tall girl back there maybe she was filling in? I feel like maybe she didn't pay attention to what she was doing or maybe she just doesn't care and is there for a paycheck. We came back at night time a couple times and it's a good time don't get me wrong but I get a little uneasy when my wife goes to use the ladies room and there's residue from cocaine on the sink and pieces of plastic that probably belong to a baggie. Then we see the same girl that was cooking our food hanging out which is no big deal but why does she keep going to the car with some guy and all I can see was their heads going down so what does that tell you they were doing? One of two things right. They weren't the only ones there's a lot of drug activity there I think the new owners don't know about but I would think that an employee would represent their self better. I will say they've done a lot of upgrades to the place because at one time it was a pretty rowdy place that's just Gibsonton right haha we are a carny town known for partying.

This is a hidden gem disguised as a biker bar. The food may be just bar food but it is cooked with Love. Sooooo damn good. A regular for the drinks and atmosphere now we come here for dinner and stay for the good time.

I love it. I’ll come all the way down here from Manatee County just to come and get a mushroom Swiss burger. Sure will cook the order you got it. Thank you show town.

This is establishment that has been in Gibsonton for decades. The food is great haven't had anything that I didn't like, service was great the employees friendly, pool tables, karaoke or if you want a place that doesn't rush you in and out of treat you like a number this is your place

I'm leaving this review to inform you that I get a random invite to your restaurant every week in my Google Calendar. Sometimes it wakes me up. I decline them but they just keep on coming. Your restaurant looks nice but I didn't ask for these invites and I live in London, England, which is quite a commute. This is by far one of the best places to go for karaoke, live music or just hanging out with friends. The food is amazing! My favorite is the loaded tots with fresh jalapeños. Prices on food and drinks are very reasonable. What makes Showtown amazing is the staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. The other patrons are friendly and diverse.

This is a little hidden gem of a place. The people that hang out there are mostly locals and and are very friendly. The employees there are awesome. It's primarily a bar not much food. Has pool tables dart boards and has live bands occasionally. Guaranteed a good time will be had.

I observed the night time bar manager turn away a perfectly good customer for no reason the patron (which I have seen there numerous times before) had just walked through the door. The patron wasn't intoxicated or beligerent yet Sherry still refused to serve her and kicked the poor woman out. Sherrys reason for kicking the woman out was because another female patron didn't like her, I thought we were all adults here? On the very same night my friend & I ordered 2 drinks, which came to $10 and I tipped $3 only to find some days later when my card completed processing that the bartender (Sherry) took it upon herself to add a 1 in front of the 3. My card was charged for a $13 tip. It's not about the money its about the theft! After speaking with an extremely rude a & Unprofessional manager, whom proceeded to verbally tell me that she didn't even care!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you want terrible customer service and money stolen off your card I suggest you stay far away from this place!

It has always been one of the only bars I've been in since late 80s early 90s that has that welcoming glad your here kinda feeling. Food is awesome and all the staff are no candy coating honest straight shooters, but caution their smiles are so addictive you might find yourself looking forward to getting off work early just get another smile.

Had never been here before. Burger was great! Fresh cut fries! Saturday night they had a live band called Noodles Magoo. What an incredible mix of music. From 60's to current day and everything classic rock in between. Hope to see them here again. Nice outdoor stage with picnic tables. Was a lot of fun.

It is said that a bar is a bar, but that doesn't apply to Showtown! Gibsonton is a carnival culture town and for many years, Showtown Bar & Grill was the very heart of the culture. Culture may change in time, but the staff and management work hard provide great bar service and grill greats to munch on. As a one-time competitor and now friend, I have begun to enjoy what has become my hometown favorite! It's real and I was made welcome, what more could you ask?

I love the new look of this old bar. The drinks are on point and really affordable. The only thing I wish is that they would have kept the outside murals but repainted to give a fresh coat. All in all amazing place and would go again! 10/10

Best place to get the coldest beers great drinks and fantastic food in Gibtown or the surrounding area. Try the spices blackened chicken wings they're out of this world!

Awesome local bar. Stop on for taco Tuesday and WOW they were awesome!!! They were cheap so I wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I surprised. All fresh ingredients. The bartender Keegan was such a joy. I will definitely be back.

I have frequented this establishment in Gibsonton FL. for some time and have a great time every single time. The outside bar that was recently built due to covid 19 allows for a safe secure social distancing regulated enjoyment of fun and friends at SHOWTOWNS BAR AND GRILL OF GIBSONTON.

Smell wired but it's also an old place four starts cause of the smell 😷

It's a great dive bar. Thursday night specials include meatloaf and $5 Long Island Ice teas. Enjoy the musical stylings of Ben Myers and his rag tag band of minstrels. If you're down in Gibtown, check it out.

I visit often, great music, all the bartenders remember they have already ID'd me, friendly people, a few stares here and there but you can't expect to be left alone everytime, amazing events Monday-Friday, Only thing id suggest is pool table replacement for the far right corner (You don't always get the full set of pool balls)

Fantastic, Mindy, Kim, Nicole, and Ashley ALWAYS take care. All four treat me as if I were the only one there. The food is very good. I have no complaints. I would recommend Showtown to anyone.

Laid back place friendly people

Fun place for an afternoon beer to meet real carnival people during the winter. We had a ball, but were warned not to come at night due to roudieness! However needs a redo on the art to preserve a landmark! This place is historical!
