Amazing Vegan menu and everything we tried was delicious. My first visit was at an odd time and we had time to chat with the management, who were lovely people. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Service the second time was a bit lacking, due to food delivery mix-up, but not bad.

We happened upon this location when in the area, and I can’t say we were disappointed. The food was delicious, the service polite, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Bathrooms were very clean. 4 stars strictly based on prices which were on the high side based on portion sizes. Pulled chicken and pulled pork were both excellent. My husband had the Alabama chicken and raved about how delicious it was. We will go back.

Beautiful interior and lousy no smoke flavor on the BBQ. All atmosphere. Wife was treated poorly. Her ribs had no meat and she didn't get her garlic bread. When we asked they a piece of cold dry bread in half. Gave her that.

I had the most delicious vegan burger here today!! It is SO great they offer a full vegan menu along side their regular BBQ. They also now have vegan deserts too!! It is so nice to be able to share a meal with my non-vegan family members. I highly recommend this place!! I had the bacon n cheez notaburger mac n cheez baked beans and cheez garlic bread all amazing 🤩 The decor is beautiful and service is quick and very friendly. I highly recommend this place!!

I went during dinner and there wasn’t many people here so I was skeptical but it was incredible. The meat especially melts in your mouth and the service is fantastic. I received a piece of pork that was essentially just fat and they gave me a new portion without question.

my mom and I tried this place for the first time. We really liked it. The food was great and the portions were more than we could eat in one setting. We ended up bringing half of it home. my mom got the pork steak and I got the beef brisket. Both meats were really tender. The sauce choices were a great variety and very good.

Very large portions. Bone fell right out of 20 ounce porksteak. I had enough left overs for another dinner.

Update 8/3/2024 The lady behind the counter was trying to be slick by giving me a large pulled pork. She did not even ask what size I wanted. So I told her small when she handed it to me. Don't be deceitful. ASK!!! Prices are no longer posted on the over head menu. That is wrong as well. No way to verify price vs size. Don't be sneaky. Old post Have eaten here a few times. Great BBQ !! Best beef brisket I've ever had. Large variety of side dishes - that really are home-made. Appears they even bake their own bread. Best BBQ I've had in St. Louis.

We came in at an odd hour and were the only patrons at the time. Service was absolutely wonderful, friendly people who were great to chat with. The vegan options were mouth watering! We took extra orders home for our next meal!

My family and I loved eating at the Smokee Mo's in St. Louis, and were super excited when one opened up in Manchester. Unfortunately, this location seems to have changed hands over the few years it has been opened and as a result each time we visited the experience diminished. We gave the place one more try last Sunday, and it was not good. Food was cold, bland, and stale tasting. Tables were sticky. For a family of 4 it was over $90 for just the basic meal and fountain drinks. Because we didn't have $90 in cash on hand there was an additional fee for card payments. The staff was friendly, but seem to be over extended. I hope the management can get it together, as the staff and location are truly fantastic! Sadly, though the food was just plain bad.

Had an excellent meal here today! Not busy at all clean pleasant atmosphere staff very attentive & polite. It was a bit more than other lunch costs BUT it was whole food & that is important!

It’s obvious the Imo’s family is no longer owners of this restaurant. This is cheap, garbage, cafeteria-style “barbecue”. I say “cafeteria-style” because they will serve you off hot plates from behind the counter with food that has been sitting there all day. Dry chicken, bland potato salad, and the sorriest excuse of barbecue pork steak you will ever encounter. Sad. The loyal customers from when the Imo’s family owned this restaurant deserve better.

What has happened to Smokee Mos they are so desperate to keep this location open they will throw a dog to serve your food. The new employees are so clueless to bbq it’s laughable. Just close this location already.

Visited yesterday for the first time in a while and the quality has dropped immensely. Four in our party, all agreed the meat was dry and not very good. They were out of chicken. Prices are ridiculous. If you're going to charge a lot, then you need to up your game. Definitely not worth the trip.

First time here and I wasn't disappointed. Our families favs were mac and cheese and brisket. A definite do over and over and over.

Food was cold alot of cross contamination handling multiple meats with same gloves. Coleslaw not good or garlic cheese bread yuck yuck yuck!!

Whoever took it over has jacked up the prices and lowered the quality of the food.

Been here several times and wasn’t ever too disappointed other than the prices. This time though my son and I went he was con into buying a bigger portion of nachos. When I say this it literally cost $40 for what we could’ve gotten for $5 at happy hour somewhere else. The girl behind the counter asked if he wanted a full or half and he had never been asked that question so he said full since that was what the size tray he was used to. Double charge for meat that was hardly put on and nachos that even he could eat because he said they were disgusting. My beef brisket platter was not hot, very cold and I choked on the mac n cheese due to it being so dry and crusty. Seriously for $71 ($5 tip) total for two people for nothing but cold nasty mushy food is making us not coming back EVER!!! Also I wanted to say cobwebs everywhere and dust.

I ordered the vegan bacon sandwich - for almost $16 I only got 2 pieces of bacon - when bringing this to the servers attention he said that all that they put on there - I told him that I was here last week and got three times as much vegan bacon when I ordered it - he said again that is how much is put on but he could possibly bring me one more piece!!! I recommend this restaurant to do very many many people - I will be sure and tell all of them about this experience! Absolutely ridiculous!

The service was good. The food was not. The turkey was good but the ribs left a lot to be desired. The sides were terrible. Full stop, Mac and cheese was cold, bread was mediocre, greens were okay at best. Cheesy potatoes weren't great. Had a stomach ache within half an hour of leaving. Several hours later not feeling much better from it. Won't be back.

Good vegan food. Price is on the high side. It would be nice if they would differentiate between vegan and vegetarian food and sauces.

We came in at opening with a 40+ people and they handled with class and a smile. Food was fantastic.

Friendly service, brisket was a bit dry though

I've heard the food here is really good and it was. But, to start off half the sides weren't available at 7:30 PM, prime dinner time. We were told that when the fries were ready they would bring them out to us. They never came. And when we went to give back the number for the fries the person at the counter didn't offer to give us the fries or apologize that they never came. Might order togo, but will probably never eat in the restaurant again.

Had the ribs. Sorry to say they were not very good. Overcooked and very dry.

Awesome experience. Food was great! I got the Pulled Pork sandwich with their Crinkle fries and Mac and Cheese. Side note: Bathroom was super clean so I’d rate 6 stars if I could!

They were out of ribs. And pork steaks. Whats the point of a bbq place if you’re out of pork steaks AND ribs less than half way through the day …? Disappointing

Vegan sloppy joe was delicious! Really good texture and flavor.

Overpriced for dull food. Super small portions, dry brisket and cold turkey. Beans had a weird chemical flavor. Veggies were flavorless and undercooked. I could buy better cheese bread in the frozen isle. Place used to be good. Idk what happened. What a waste of $20

The vegan menu is loaded with amazing items. I had the nachos and they were delicious and humongous. Non-vegans loved their food too and the regular menu is even bigger than the vegan one. The atmosphere feels like a BBQ joint with lots of wood. Will be coming back a lot.

WENT BACK TO GIVE 2ND CHANCE 2/16/2024...my opinion has NOT changed. Terrible service. Crazy prices for bad food. Dirty tables, food on floor, just a mess... with 3 workers in front but ZERO customers. The place seems like somewhere you may want to go. Don't. Better food, service and quality overall at other places...like Dalies Smokehouse. I would not recommend Smokee Mo's. --- older review below. Owner and line cooks complaining about customers IN FRONT OF customers. Inconsistent portions for same orders. No flow or good communication between anyone working. Layout inside almost non functional with tables and decor. Take Out entry blocked by table and guests sitting in front of. Not worth the price of $48 for 4 sandwiches...especially with making guests feel like crap that they are even there. Would not recommend.

Reminds me of my favorite Fast Food BBQ in KC. Good selection of meats and sides (didn't try dessert). Choice of regular 5.5 oz or large 7 oz. potion of meat. Plenty of seating for our group of 20+. I may prefer KC BBQ, but I'll be back for more as they are better than other BBQ places in STL. Others in the group enjoyed their choices as well.

**Attention** All gig workers. Avoid this restaurant at all costs if you want to make any money. 15-minute wait every time. It doesn't matter how old the order is. You're going to wait 15 minutes at least. If you're a customer, please don't order from here. These gig platforms have minimum requirements we have to meet to obtain better orders. If we have to accept an order from here, and it's in the middle of dinner rush, then we are going to lose major money waiting. Every job should be performance based like mine. I only get paid if I perform. This place has no sense of urgency. Mosey around turtle speed. Last time I ever pick up from here!!

It's just ok. The pulled pork was good but the collards tasted weird and fatty and the mixed veggies were extremely garlicy.

Great place, great food..only complaint was confusing where/how to order your food. Workers did not greet you or direct you. But, will go again for varied menu/good food.

The meat had no smoke or bbq flavor. It appeared to be oven cooked and very greasy. The sides were not fresh and were dried out and crusty. There are usually no cars there and should have served as a warning. I would avoid.

This was a call in to go order. Food was good. Brisket was a little dry. Ribs were good, fall off the bone tender. Sauces were not labeled good, hard to tell what was what . Corn was a little different than expected. Awkward checkout with push to pay with cash but it was discounted with cash. Awkward push for a tip on checkout also. All in all it was good. It would be nice if they had a drive thru window.

I was impressed with the experience as a whole! The establishment was very clean and the fresh flowers on the table was such a nice touch. Their portions were perfect! The bread they use for the sandwiches was made for their meat portion. Definitely coming back!!!

Smoked turkey and half rack of rubs tasted great! The Mac n cheese was the star of the side dishes.

These are the best ribs I have eaten in my 50 years on this earth. No knife needed the ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. Bring a big appetite, the portions are plentiful. I was very impressed.

Great food exclusive location happy staff

I took a chance and ordered a smoked turkey for the holiday the week of Thanksgiving. This was my first time and certainly not my last. The turkey went straight from the smoker, to get wrapped up, and into my car. No need to reheat. It was fresh, flavorful, piping hot, and j u I c y! I’m so thankful for Smokee MO’s! I’ll definitely order something for Christmas!

My coworkers and I went on 11/22 for lunch. First time eating here. The Mangia Bene was one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve ever had. The two workers doing the meats and sides were friendly. Great place to eat.

Looked really good with both carnivore and vegan menus. Unfortunately with Tuckers so close , we heard the sirens call ! Next time .

Only been here once but I cannot recommend this place based off that. A "large" 2-meat platter is only 7oz (total!) of meat. Pappy's is a benchmark to me and this place doesn't even come close to comparing except costing about the same. Brisket, burnt ends, and wings were tried during the visit here. All were unfortunately fairly dry. The brisket and burnt ends were barely above room temperature when served. I will say the staff was friendly and the place was clean. However, ultimately we went for the food which let us down. Would not recommend.

The Mac and cheese was hard and probably sat all day. The pork steak was good they forgot the bread didn't ask for it, and baked beans were rough.

We took small grandchildren to lunch on Saturday. Busy, short wait for some sides. Very good BBQ and reasonably priced. We will return.

This place has something for carnivores and vegans alike. Stumbled upon BBQ in the midwest that has a full vegan menu in addition to their standard! There were so many options and everything we ordered was delicious! Would 100% come back if in the area again. One caveat is the vegan food must be ordered from the register, so that could cause a longer wait if the restaurant is really busy, but didn't take long for us.

Great place for vegans and omnivores to chow down! Their nacho portions are the most generous portions of any food I've had in a restaurant!!

Great food offerings for both vegan and nonvegan diners. Hard to find a lot of vegan options nearby so really appreciate their menu. Staff has always been super friendly and food has always been delicious.

Got a sandwich and fries and fountain soda. Decided to add coke slaw as a second side. Lunch ended up costing $30. Yikes.

Stopped in to try their vegan offerings due to a meat allergy (yes, that’s sadly a real thing). OHEMGEE!!!! I had the Mangia smoked “rib” sandwich and mac and cheez, and both were fantastic! My husband had a half rack of smoked ribs and my mouth was watering just looking at them. While we don’t get out to west county much this has become a definite destination and worth the 20 mile drive!

They really know how to smoke meat. We did their 5 meat platter and was awesome food. Great food at a very reasonable prices. Oh yeah they also have Blue Owl desserts...yummy

Relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere paired with good food

First indication was empty parking lot. The brisket was good but cold, sides were also cold. There was too much onion in the slaw, on the good side the place was very clean, but you were slapped in the face with the smell of ammonia, it was overwhelming. I wold not recommend.

We had an all around terrific experience here! All of the staff was super kind, the food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! As a vegan I really appreciate having a menu with multiple different options. I recommend the jackfruit sandwich, the vegan ribs, and the seasoned fries! My boyfriend is not a vegan and was raving about the vegan food! The owner is wonderful and you can tell he really cares about his customers! We can’t wait to come back to support this business and try the other items on the vegan menu!

Worst BBQ I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. Sausage had little flavor and even less smoke, Turkey was dry, and pictured is how they served the brisket, I’ve never seen it served this way and had asked was this Pork or Beef, guy assured me it was Beef. Son ordered Vegan Burger and seasoned fries, seasoning on fries too intense and not pleasing to the palate. Sauces were good, best to wash the Turkey down.

Meat didn't really have alot of smoke flavor. The sauces were good. The coleslaw tasted like it was from KFC. Portions kinda small compared to other smoke houses.

Dry BBQ. We got Mo's Meat Platter with Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Turkey (they were out of sausage, replaced with chicken wings). Very dry meat, even the ribs were dry. On the good side, the staff was great and the atmosphere was fun.

Randomly stumbled upon this place with my boyfriend and I was so excited to try vegan BBQ. I got the vegan BLT, mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was great, but the mac and cheese could use a bit more seasoning. It definitely wasn’t bad - it just didn’t have much flavor. I would suggest adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Other than that, it was amazing! They have a great outdoor seating area and an entire vegan menu. My boyfriend got a chicken wrap and fries. He said it was amazing and would love to go back! Great place for vegans and people who eat meat to both have something they’ll enjoy!

Finding a fully vegan menu at a BBQ place in the Midwest is unhear of unless you go here! I was amazed to see this online, so I went in hopeful. Vegans have their own cashier, and all vegan items are cooked on separate grills and in separate fryers than the non-vegan items... so there's no cross-contamination. (The fries on the non-vegan line are fried in the same grease they fry their bacon.) I ordered the vegan ribz was pretty disappointed at the small portion. You get four "ribs", but they're very small and flat. The flavor and texture was decent but enhanced by adding the extra sauces they provide at the self-serve station near the register. I didn't really feel I got my money's worth, but at least it comes with two sides. The trick is knowing which sides to get (you get two with the ribz). The Spicy Sweet Corn is way too spicy and not very sweet. I'd rather just have regular corn. The cashew mac'n'cheese was pretty bland, so I wouldn't recommend that, either. (My daughter was excited to order it as her main choice but was quickly disappointed. It was basically cold by the time we got it, too.) I ordered the Spinach Salad w/vegan bacon, mushrooms, and Basil Vinaigrette, and that was probably my favorite. You get a free piece of cheezy garlic bread with the ribz, but it was mostly crusty/crisp and the cheese wasn't melty at all. So... if you get the ribz, get a side salad and an order of the vegan fries. My son ordered the Notaburger w/vegan cheese and bacon and thought it was delicious! He could only eat half of it, so I got the rest of it for leftovers the next night. Wonderful! And our bacon wasn't tough as another reviewer experienced. Again, he ordered the mac'n'(cashew)cheese as his side and was sadly disappointed. If you get the burger, order the fries! * The cashier told me that they used to offer a vegan potato salad that was "reeeeally good", so if that's on the menu when you go, give it a shot. Another sad point is that there were absolutely no vegan desserts to complete the meal. Desserts are what "seal the deal" on a good restaurant, and Smokee Mo's is lacking there for the vegans. We like sweets, too! Overall, I'd definitely recommend Smokee Mo's to any vegan forced to eat BBQ with relatives or co-workers. It's very hard to find any BBQ restaurant that offers more than just a salad or baked potato/fries for a vegan option.

Loved it! This place is great. It's well decorated, clean and the service is friendly. We ordered Cole slaw, vegan ribs with seasoned French fries, cashew Mac n chz, and half order vegan nachos! What a delicious and filling meal! The portion sizes are generous. The sauces are a necessity! Try them all. Yum! I never would have thought to add baked beans to nachos but the result is unforgettable. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our dogs with us. What a great lunch!

Cool place, they sell beer. Not busy. Huge plate of fries. turkey was a little dry but tasted good. Will return to try the burnt ends, need to go around lunch time to ensure you get them before they run out.

Very solid BBQ. Brisket is good, pulled pork is good, sides are above average. Not a huge fan of their sauces, but they are not bad by any means. Staff that serves you is always friendly and engaging. People that check you out are a little less so. Space is cool. Very open and woody. I have gone for lunch a couple times and mostly had the place to ourselves. There is a parking lot, but I assume it fills up fast if the place ever gets busy.
