Drove 45 miles to my closest Sonny's BBQ. It was a pleasant drive on a sunny Sunday evening. Food and service were very good. Parking was plentiful.

This was a GOOD BYE visit. They are CLOSING THEIR DOORS tomorrow. SUNDAY APRIL 25th 2021

Since there are no Sonnys in the area where I live I took a drive to the Sonnys in Greenacres, Fl. and I was very disapointed and sorry I drove so far for such poorly prepared food. I ordered a chicken plate with two sides from the drive thru on a Sunday morning. The sides were ok but the chicken was very hard, dry and rubbery. It took quite a bit of strength to pull the wing away from the breast. I dont even remember Sonnys BBQ Chicken, or any chicken being hard and tough. It seemed like since I was there early on a Sunday they might have quickly microwaved up some leftover chicken to give me, I dont know what else can explain how bad the chicken was. Before I posted this I gave them a chance to explain what had happened but my email to them as well as my concern left on their website both went unanswered. Its not a good business practice to serve some really bad food and then not even care about it.

BEST BBQ AND THE SMOKED TURKEY IS EXELLENT any where around. Love this place ❤

It’s sad to say but just ate our last meal there last night only to find out they are closing the doors for good on Sunday April 25th, 2021.

Great service...fast and responsive. Delicious food...hot and fresh...pulled pork sandwich and corn on the cob were 5-star! Highly recommend. Will return soon.

Since we don't have many true BBQ joints around here this is a place you can always count on to be consistent and delicious. I am a person that when you say BBQ I assume you mean smoked meats, not grilled food, and this place is smoked meats to the roof. You will leave full, happy, and probably with a doggy bag of food for later. Trust me it's almost better a little while later, when you're home, alone and can enjoy it 😊

So we went to Sonny's for Easter Dinner. And It was literally the best decision we made. Our server was just amazing along with the other staff they actually made you feel welcome. Another patron had paid for our meal. So we returned the favor and picked a family that was in the restuarant that had children with them and paid for their meal.. I can't wait to go back oh and did I say the food was great and hot and fresh. Well worth it!!!!

They have the best barbecue in the county. After 25 years if not going after one bad time, I must say they have improved dramatically. Thanks the great food and snacks.

Food was take out and great as usual, the service not so good. Went through drive-thru and order location not working and no sign! Tried pickup window without any luck! Went inside to order, no takeout menu!! Finally got a staff member who was able to assist, hassle was still worth it!!!

Bbq baby back ribs good rest ok

The food was great and was greeted and seated with style and professionaliam. However, the service was not as good. Never saw the waiter after he took my order and then reappeared with the bill.

I would love to give 5 🌟's but the food wasn't hot. But I ate it anyway. I called in my order. Less than 10 min. I should have been 🔥. I will try again in the future. Good food. Keep it ☝ ok!

Food was excellent and the service was spectacular. The restaurant was clean and social distancing practices were in place.

Sonny's has the great advantage, at least in my experience, of consistency. I love their marbled brisket and their spare ribs with dry rub. Their variety of sauces is really good, and you can always ask for the mustard-based one and then make your own mix. They had outside sitting and our server, Andre, was awesome. Funny and service-oriented, all wrapped into one. Their fried okra and corn nuggets are delicious!

I have been eating here since I was a kid. No matter which location. I'm sad to say that they aren't as popular as they used to be. But My father swears by it. And I do too! The Baby Back Ribs are the best.

I always stop by Sonny's when I am in Florida. I love the sliced pork and all the sides! I kinda use all 4 of the BBQ sauses. Got to love Sonny's.

Great BBQ from a chain and some of them have tesla chargers. Opent the salad bars. (For some reason my review originally was burgers and wings at another place..not sure why it went here.)

This was my first visit I would recommend for anyone who likes good BBQ.

I like this location a lot the staff is friendly the food is great I've been this location at least three times this week

We got a sweet potato instead of baked potato then forgot the mac n cheese. And gave me a half rack when i ordered a full rack. Before they jipped us on fries, baked potatoes looked brown and cold. This all happens through the drive-thru, never inside dinning. This is the 5th time our order is wrong and having to go back to correct it!! You lost our business!

UPDATE: This establishment (Dana) reached out to me to "make things right". They asked for my contact information. I provided them my email & Cell number TWICE! That was OVER a week ago, no further contact, guess you can say...they (DANA) just DOESN'T CARE!!! Smokey's is a rather expensive place. Went to the drive through & got 3 adult meals & 2 Children's meal for a total of almost $100.00. Both orders of chicken fingers were tasteless. The outer fried part was dry & tasteless. The chicken inside was moist but no taste. Here's a hint...try using SALT in your coating before frying. The cornbread was also very dry & difficult to swallow. The Mac & cheese was good bit the serving was tiny. No kind of dipping sauce specifially for the chicken. My first time at Smokey's will most likely be my last. Zaxby's is a very short distance away.

Server was great, food was at best, average. No brisket on a Friday Night at 5:30pm. Tea was soured. Won't ever go back.

Hit or miss! UPDATE: 11-30-2020 freaking hit, homerun, grand slam delicious. I mean WOW. Ribs, chicken sides yum. My only regret is i didn't order a bigger meal. Next time and very soon.

I ordered delivery, Food had a very good taste but the meat was very dry.

Sandwich was old and dry. I didn’t eat my own food and should have sent it back but I would rather not eat at all. This place used to serve delicious food but I am not sure what happened. How can a sandwich with BBQ sauce still be dry??

The food is always consistent and delicious.

Great flavor but the ribs were about the size of baby back ribs. As you can see by the pick, they are about the size of the corn muffin. This put me off my Q game.

First time for Veterans day- Had a delicious sandwich, friendly staff.

I came to the drive-through and I got a Burger. It was cooked to perfection. Then I realized I must have left my credit card. And of course the nice man waiting on me saved my card and I was able to get it back the next day. It sure is nice meeting honest people like him. When I came back the next day to get my credit card Back, I decided to dine in. I ordered the Redneck Egg rolls and my Food and service were wonderful.

My girlfriend & I went here since we were craving bbq while bowling next door. She ordered a bbq pulled pork sandwich, & I got the sampler. It came with beef brisket, pork, 1/4 chicken, and ribs. My food was ok, yeah just ok. Use to eat very well here. Her sandwich was sooo dry. She couldn't finish it. The only thing she enjoyed was her sides. Was disappointed about our experience. Hoping improvements will be made. They were normally a good "go to" for bbq years ago.

The set up for ordering and picking up food make no sense. You place the order on the side of the building and pay and pickup in the back of the building. Food is good tho

We live Sonny's in St. Augustine. So, we went here for lunch. Just as tasty.

I always go there on Sundays and get their all you can eat chicken and two sides with a choice of all you can eat corn muffins and texas toast. Free refills on drinks. Great service. Food is always consistent and hot. It costs more for me to go through the drive thru at MCDONALD'S for my son, boyfriend, and I. Best food for the taste, consistency, and price. The wait staff is always on top of things.

(staff was extra kind).. . .( The ribs were tasty) sides tasted cheap.. Mac cheese straight out the box.. Cole slaw was dated no flavor.. even my bud light was Flat

Mediocre food and slow service in the drive through.

The server was amazing, but as for the menu choices I was disappointed... I wanted Brisket and all you can eat salad bar but all they had was smoked Turkey and Ribs for meats... No salad bar but they did have a large side salad...

Consistently good BBQ. COVID-19 regulations in effect. Friendly staff. What more could you ask?
