We had the sangria and had to send it back as it was mixed with oj and sprite not just fruit n wine the italian wed soup was ok seemed watered down and the 3 cheese ravioli was just ok

This restaurant was amazing! We ordered the shrimp cocktail and calamari which came out very fast and the lemon aioli for the calamari was great. Dinners came out shortly after which were phenomenal (three cheese tortellini and the chicka chicka boom) and our server, Cathy, was very attentive and provided us with refills and extra sauces. She was great with our kids and we will definitely be back before our stay is over.

Lidia made the dinner worth it. We went for my boyfriend’s birthday and she was attentive and the food was amazing! Portions were huge!

Food was very good as always, but Cortez was an amazing server and we were all so appreciative of how he handled our 12-top plus all his other tables. He was very friendly, very quick and always on top of things. A great experience!

Cortez was amazing! He handled how busy he was with grace and kindness. I was very very impressed with how attentive he was despite his heavy workload. While he never once mentioned how overloaded or busy he was, he never seemed to stop moving running from table to table. Super impressed with him

Omg… from the bread they bring to the table to the dessert at the end… THIS PLACE IS GOOOOD! We honestly didn’t except this quality. Literally perfect. Best food I’ve had in a while. I tried the four cheese risotto and it was delicious! We shared the love dip, with fresh bread and it was so full of flavour, great to split with others! I found the lighting was dim where we were sitting, which made it hard to see the details of our food. But the flavours made up for not seeing the details!

Dehvin is a gem. She is so personable and gave such great recommendations about the menu! She was so perceptive and I swear every time I needed something she was already there. 10/10 would come back just for the supreme hospitality. If you’re ever at Sortino’s ask for Dehvin!

Mallory was kind and inviting! TJ made an amazing Rosemary Lemon Drop and suggested great dishes from the menu. We were lucky enough to meet Giorgio himself! He's a kind, witty man.

Dehvin was an absolutely amazing waitress. She was very attentive and polite. Best of all, she made my two girls feel really excited as she took pictures with them and gave them her autograph with a kind note. I highly recommend this restaurant and Dehvin.

Not bad for what you get at a hotel/waterpark. Prices are about what you expect. Service from Lonell was outstanding, very attentive. The portion are huge, so if you want, consider splitting entrees to save $ for the kids they want to spend it on the arcade!

I was hesitant at first as sometimes resort spots can be hit or miss. We got our seat quickly and our server was checking in on us regularly. Our apps were 50/50. The calamari was great and the aioli that came with it was fantastic. The bruschetta we ordered we the weirdest take on the dish I’ve ever seen. It was toast with a separate bowl that had a pile of tomato. Wasn’t bad, just wasn’t bruschetta. The mains were all around great. I personally had the chicken Parmesan and not only was it tasty, but I had enough for three meals. I’m not exaggerating, I’m a larger person and the portion size of this was insane. All around I enjoyed and would recommend, especially if you’re at the resort.

We had a wonderful dinner at the bar. Mallory and Greg made fantastic drinks and their service was on point. We never had to wait for a drink, they kept them coming.

The food was very good and a lot of it but the best was our server Lonell. He was very attentive, made great suggestions and he made our dinner fantastic!

So, this bartender, Greg, outstanding. Great personality and was always happy to help with questions. He made me felt welcomed like I known him for years. A genuine person. He is definitely a reason I would come back just to talk again. I strongly recommend the place.

Best Italian food around! Authentic cuisine. Huge portions, extremely friendly staff! We celebrated our anniversary and the owner personally delivered a delicious piece of cheesecake...on the house! He sat and talked with us for a few minutes and made us feel so important!! Do not pass this place up!!

TJ is amazing! We were on a wait list for another restaurant and his hospitality at the bar while we were waiting made us want to change restaurants! Had a great dinner with the family!

Logan was very nice! He did a great job. My table got the love dip and the bread was not warm nor was it flavorful. The bread was very below average. I have had plenty of homemade italian bread and the bread here was just not good. The dinners also came with cold bread. My dinner was the chicka boom and it was actually pretty decent. The other 3 people I went here with did not enjoy their food either. I have had plenty of homemade Italian food and this place really was not what I was expecting. The reviews are very misleading. This is not to say other dishes are not good, but if the bread is not good, that is a bad start to a dining experience at an Italian restaurant. This is just an honest comment about the restaurant and food, absolutely nothing against the workers. The prices are also very unfair, but I get they are high because of Kalahari. I genuinely would not come back here :(

We went to Sortino”s with our teenage daughter and her bestie! My husband and i were so impressed when the owner came to our table to greet us and share a fun story with us! Being an Italian family we appreciated this awesome gesture! Mr. Sortino was a charmer and made our experience even better! But the big all-star was our waitress, DEHVIN! DEHVIN was the best waitress we've had to date, anywhere! What a sweet girl! Our daughter couldn't stop talking about how great she was and we agreed! We shared how appreciative we were and she even gave our girl a big hug! We loved her. We never waited for anything and she was so happy, we appreciate that in a world of so many grumpy people! Thanks DEHVIN!

My meal was Luke warm. Eggplant was cut too think. Therefore it was not tender. This restaurant would would not stay open in NYC longer than a month. Need to get the original chefs back to cook with passion and love. People who follow a recipe without passion make average dishes.

Very good food, Pasta mafia was 🔥so was the cocktails. George came a talked to us very friendly made you feel like you have known him for years. It was our oldest kids birthday gave her a treat an also gave her littler sister one as well to make her not feel left out.

Both times we have eaten at this location this year, everything has been AMAZING!!!!

Eggplant parmigiana was not good. Noodles were overcooked and eggplant was burnt and very little of it it was mostly breading. Sauce didn’t have any flavor and it was cold. Perhaps other menu items are worth ordering but eggplant parmigiana isn’t. I asked for water several times and never got it. 20% gratuity was added to our bill but the server definitely didn’t earn it. We visit kalahari 2-3 times a year but will not visit this restaurant again.

Emile was amazing, I broke my glass of wine and she took care of everything. It was my boyfriend birthday, she make sure we got our dessert on the house and a really good meal!!

I was concerned about the restaurant being located in a resort (not caring about returning customers) but if there is ever a Sortino anywhere I am at, I will definitely be eating there. Food was great our waitress Dehvin was amazing. There was a gentleman who dropped 4 of our 5 meals. It was a complete accident and all the wait staff banned together to clean it up. Thank you for such a great experience! We will be back!

6/23/24 - Thank you Devin for the exceptional service! It's been a bit since we've been here and found the same high quality food that we always experience. The Mozarella Garlic Bread is awesome, the kids had buttered noodles and we had meatballs, a Caprese Salad and the Steak Mediterranean. Everything was soooo good! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Our experience at Sortino's was nothing less than stellar! The food is authentic and delicious. From the Mozzarella Garlic Bread, to the Chick-A-Chick-A-Boom, everything was fantastic. Our waitress Cathy was lovely - informative with great suggestions and just a joy to interact with during our dinner. 1/28/2023 - and we came back! Pam was our server and she was awesome. We had Mussels Marinara, Steak Pizziola, and a kids pizza! We'll be back soon! 3/25/2023 - Sierra is a fantastic waitress! Danilo was very helpful too. What a pleasant experience! Tonight we had the Salmon special and the Steak Mediterranean. Both were delicious! Thanks again for a great experience! 5/28/2023 - we have been thinking about Sortino's for weeks. My husband literally talks about visiting every other day. Believe me when I tell you that the Wedding Soup is totally authentic. If your children don't love marinara, ask for butter noodles. Tonight we ordered the Anti-Pasta Board. It was beautiful with meatballs, bruchetta, and fresh mozzarella. I live low-carb but there are many options. The service tonight was also on point. Our waitress Devyn was quick with drinks and our order. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude made our great experience even better! Thanks again for a fabulous dinner!

We recently celebrated my son’s 14th birthday at Sortino, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We found a black hair in our pasta, which was absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, the whiskey and margarita we ordered were almost entirely watered down, making them practically undrinkable. We returned our food, paid the bill and tip, and left the restaurant. Thanks to this restaurant, we ended up celebrating the birthday in our room with pizza in a box. Overall, it was a regrettable dining experience that we won’t be repeating.

Cortez was absolutely amazing! We came in with a very large group and it was a bit crazy. Cortez handle us with confidence and grace. He was great at taking everyone’s order is a timely and orderly fashion. Everything was brought out fast and made well. No one person got the incorrect thing brought out to them! Not only was he accurate and fast but he was extremely personable and friendly.

Fantastic waitress Can’t sing Cathy’s praises enough. She truly went above and beyond. Thank you Cathy!

Just had dinner with the family at Sortino's Italian Kitchen at the Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio. Our server Matthew was outstanding! Matt had a great attitude, was personable, and definitely added value and positivity to our dining experience! Definitely a dinner and dinner experience I would recommend!

I'm trying to figure out all these great reviews. Honestly the food in this establishment has to be the worst Italian food I've ever had. I thought my Italian mother was a horrible cook ,LOL. This place is ran by kids and people who barely speak English. The bill was $300 for 3 adults and 4 kids. Save your money and get the pizza sent to your room.

Logan was friendly and attentive, and Mr. Sortino even made an appearance! Such a great way to escape while staying at the resort for business.

Wow! What an AMAZING place! Not used to such great food at an amusement park. This place is outstanding. The sausage stuffed banana peppers are so tasty and Keri was great. So nice, informative and super fast service. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

The waiter was super kind. Her name is Dehvin. she was super kind 10 out of 10 for her service. Definitely recommend her. Lasagna is really cheesy. The windows kind of make it look weird. But thousand percent recommend the waiter 11 out of 10 stars service fantastic!!!
