Very small seating area but food was good drive through was backed up so I went in didn't take long

Used drive through to order. Not a long wait in line. Items ordered were prepared and wait time again not too long. Brown gravy was peppered a bit too much for personal taste but otherwise enjoyed the 12 piece chichen tender meal. Worth the time and price for the meal you receive...

Amazing. I would put it against anyone Kfc or Popeyes. The staff was nice and that Apple Pie jawn... Sheesh

Southern Classic Chicken is the best tasting fried chicken in the US. We've eaten chicken in FL, GA, AL, LA, TX, AR, MO, TN, NC, SC, NV, CO, and CA. Southern Classic is the best chicken hands down! Fried okra is the bomb too!

I live in E. TX but I'm from Winnfield. Every time I come home I have to stop by and get some of that good chicken 🍗.

Out in Louisiana for a hiking expedition! Spoke to some locals regarding where to get something good and fast. They said, "Go to Southern Classic!" Oh man, that is some AMAZING FRIED CHICKEN!!! 👏🏽 It is juicy, flavorful, crispy (but not too crispy), very good old-fashioned homestyle like Grandma used to make in the iron skillet kind of chicken. We had mashed potatoes and red beans and rice as our sides. Very good as well! But that chicken... I'm getting hungry for it again just thinking about it!

Food is excellent, but not very good service when it comes to the workers serving you. Some is nice and some is not so nice. I guess everybody has bad days.

Counting a pigeon leg as a chicken leg in a 10 piece mixed, you get 3 or 4 pigeon sized legs that count towards a 10 That's ridiculous

Always fresh but they have a stocking problem. You have to be equipped with what u need.

Even though it was super busy, the line moved fast, the crew was friendly, and the food was hot and delicious. When we saw how busy it was we went to McDonald's across the street instead. Waited 10 minutes as first in line without so much as an acknowledgment from staff. Walked back to Southern Classic, waited half the time in a longer line, were treated well, and were eating our food while even the drive-thru line at McDs hadnt moved in 10 minutes. Listen, I understamd you may be busy, but at least let your customers know you see them. A smile or wave goes a long way!

It was terrible. The chicken stripes we got tasted like burnt oil because they haven't changed the grease in the fryer in God knows how long.

We were in a hurry and the line was extremely long. We almost left but the line moved swiftly, they tool big bills and the chicken was juicy, hot and fresh!!

The chicken legs were the same size as the ketchup packet. I have seen bigger legs and thighs on pigeons in the Wal Mart parking lot. Many Louisiana

Good chicken. The facility was well maintained. The staff are hard to hear over the drive through.

I would recommend steering clear of this place. The dining area is very small, dirty and poorly maintained. The food is ok (at best) though pricey for the quality. Perhaps one of the worst matters, is the staff that works there. They do not seem to like their jobs, or really care too much at all. In particular, the younger caucasian female (with glasses) is very rude, and disrespectful to customers. She has made threats to at least one customer and does not hesitate to speak loud or yell at customers. If Many ever gets a KFC or Popeye's, this place is doomed.

To me Southern Classic is the best chicken fast food chicken lives yo cuz they got that they got that all that fried okra and fried okra be off the chain then they ain't going to be in a little bitty piece of meat and make sure to tell me sizes is good and sometime they even throw you in a little French fries to go with it in other words 7 classes great I wouldn't take I wouldn't stop nowhere else but Southern Classic to get chicken and where y'all love and do you your customer service is great even through the drive-thru thank you

The best chicken I've had in a long time. I've never been disappointed with my meals. The Large order of Okra is huge and amazing. The only thing I could complain about is that they are constantly busy and you may have to wait 10 minutes if you walk inside and order and the Drive thru is always packed...I've seen cars backed up from the highway all the way up and around the building.. I would suggest calling ahead and ordering and then walking inside to pick it up. Having said that it's definitely not something that would deter me from my Southern Classic Chicken...Just like their slogan says... "It brings you back"

I live in Leesville and they're about an hour drive away from me. I would gladly take that trip rather than a 10-15 minute drive to Popeyes. They have some really great fried chicken and meals.

Really good fried chicken. Always hot, fresh and delicious. The cream gravy and fries are also hot and fresh. We drive 45 mins once a week just to eat here. They are always very nice at this location and very fast. There may be 10 or so vehicles in drive thru, but the line goes really fast. Like this place better than popeyes hands down. Keep up the good work!

Have been a frequent visitor since they opened. Yesterday's order was totally screwed up. When I tried to correct it at the window, I was told I'd have to drive around and wait in line again. I'll go to Country Boy 100% of the time now.

Actually, my son loves this chicken! He says it is the best in the nation! He was driving in from WV and I happened to be in Many for the Christmas parade, so he had me bring some back to Lake Charles for him. Service was great!

I’ve searched out fried chicken in many states at a lot of restaurants and this is right at the top. Delicious crips crust without a lot of breading and overly-fatty skin, and chicken so moist you can’t believe it. The employees are friendly for the most part and they also sell whole jalapeños to eat with your chicken. If you’re looking for great fried chicken, this is a Must-Try stop on your journey.
