Long time wine club member here and never had a bad visit! There is a lot of effort that gets put into making everyone’s time spent here enjoyable….especially with food trucks and live musics on the weekends through the summer months. Patio is beautiful and designed to make the whole operation run smoothly….BUT if you truly want to enjoy your experience, I recommend a weekday stop! It’s so nice to be able to talk to the staff who are all so passionate about all St. Julian wine and spirits, and a Tuesday lunchtime stop typically allows for some great conversation and some even better wine pours and pairings! Don’t sleep on St. Julian!

Who opens at 10am and closes at 7pm? Too early on both parts and bizarre. Have summer hours, if anything.

Staff is awesome and the tastings are varied and not rushed. Wines and prices are great!

The live entertainment on August 11, was just awful.

Love this place their wine and their prices!!!! Honestly best location for them not too busy, ive always preferred their wine over any other vineyard, or brand, hands down worth a detor if youre passing through lower west Michigan or northwestern Indiana.

Lots of locally grown and made alcoholic beverages including grapes as well as many other fruits

The service was slow for a half empty restaurant. Our sever forgot our order and continued to help other tables while we waited.

Gregg is absolutely the BEST!! Got a great tasting experience, and he was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful.

This is hands down the BEST winery in Michigan. Been a wine club member close to 10 years and every single time we visit, we have the best time. Our favorite employee is Candace.. and like she once said, it’s a “Cheers” atmosphere. Everyone knows your name and is excited to see you. Getting a hug from your server because they haven’t seen you in a while? Just a bonus. Aside from having the best time, they have the best wine, and a HUGE selection. Anyone leaving less than a 5 star review was either lying or drunk. Thank you St Julian!!!

We visited this winery while visiting from out of town. The place was extremely busy at the time, but they managed to get us our drinks pretty quickly. The wine is very good and affordable. We ended up leaving with 10 bottles of wine! Haha 🤣

Visited St. Julian with a group of my girlfriends to celebrate our friend's retirement. Called a few weeks prior about our group size of 11 and pricing and were told the tasting would be $12.00 a person and to just come right in, reservations would not be needed. We were super excited. When we arrived Monday afternoon, we were also told when we approached the counter it was $12.00 a tasting. We made our selections, were seated on the patio, served, and then never really checked on again. Never really given a true tasting or educated about the wine. There were not many customers there, so they were not busy. Wines were good, we enjoyed ourselves, until the bill came and we were charged $15.00 a person. We did question and were told with large groups it's more. They didn't care that we were told on two separate occasions it would be 12. They shrugged it off like Oh Well. Sorry and did NOT make it right. There were 11 of us. After they did not make it right most of us chose to leave and not buy wine to go. Poor customer service for sure. A lot of other wineries to choose from. Definitely will enjoy those next time.

I honestly do not normally complain but today I was disappointed by my wine tasting experience. I felt like I was neglected while the people who were club members were treated with priority. I was not told anything about the winery or the wines I was tasting. I was just here visiting what a disappointment.

If you like Cracker Barrel and blue wine this is the place for you. Could not get a seat so we headed over to Round Barn next door. Loved Round Barn…go here instead!

Visited here on 5/19/24 we two of my girlfriend's, it was a enjoyable afternoon, good food, music, and of coarse drinks.

As always, it was a great experience! Everyone is very friendly and great at explaining the wines and its complexity.

Ask for Luke. He is the best. Had a great time at our wine tasting. We will 100% be back! For Luke! And the wine is good too👍🏻

Cut my friend off because they thought she was part of a different group (they were celebrating a birthday and pretty loud) that she was buying drinks for. She was not drunk.

Fun tasting and excellent staff

$10 for 6 tastings of wine, cider and spirits of your choice. Absolutely delicious. Luke the bartender was AMAZING!!! He knew his stuff and so kind and wonderful. The hubs and I both got a tastings so a total of 12 and we tried each one. Place was busy and so many people hang out by the bar for tastings. An absolute must if you're ever in New Buffalo, Michigan. We will definitely be back for more tastings in the future. Awesome stuff!

Jared was awesome! Our first time there and he explained everything and had the opportunity to try multiple different wines and liquors ended up doing home with two bottles of wine and a bottle of bourbon:) can’t wait to come back!

Huge selection of wine to choose from. Very reasonably priced wines around $11 per bottle. I tried the blood orange sangria tonight and loved it! Can’t wait for tomorrow. The staff are extremely helpful as well. I asked about other things to do in the area and was given several restaurants and destinations to check out!

I loved all the wine options and our server was great. It was super packed though, hard to hear, and atmosphere wasn't great.

We absolutely St. Julian Winery. We live south of Chicago and make the trip at least 4 times a year. I don't even want to admit how many cases of wine we order... Patio rocks...staff is fantastic. Dog and kid friendly. 10/10+

All Michigan wine, spirits, and ciders! The pineapple rose and Awesome apple cider we're definitely my favorites! Mary was so awesome! The tasting experience was tip notch. Definitely go check it out!!

We visited the tasting room in Union Pier yesterday and we were more than pleasantly surprised, closer to blown away. The quality of the wines we tasted rivaled some of the best we have consumed in N California. Far exceeding the quality of estate grown grapes of this region in the past! And Luke Waters’ knowledge of your wines and the wine business in general made our experience even more enjoyable. As a former purveyor (and now consumer) of wine, spending time with someone as knowledgeable as Luke is a treat! We are also new members🍷🍷cheers! Craig & Colleen Ramquist

StJulians did well on my order(which I haven't received yet) no fault of theirs just FedExs stupidity, so my suggestion is ask for ups seems little easier to deal with. My opinion.

We bought a Groupon and wow we had a fabulous experience. Luke the wine consultant was extremely knowledgeable and fun. He had recommendations on our request . We will definitely be back!

Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. I always have a good time at St. Julian's Union Pier location. St. Julian's has the best wine, and the best servers! If I could only go to one winery, I would pick St. Julian's every time!

I went there on a tour bus with a group of great woman. I enjoyed St Julian's Winery for their fine selections of wine and the pricing is just right. Great staff and the Ladies were wonderful. I would visit again. Thank you for your Hospitality

The place was awesome!! Did a tasting in which every thing me and my wife had was delicious. The wines were so good we walked out with a few extra bottles! Our server Luke was wonderful. He was very engaged with us while still taking care of others. The prices of their wines were very reasonable as well. We will definitely be back!!

I have been to a decent amount of wineries in Michigan and this has to my new favorite spot! My husband and I went for a tasting and felt very welcomed by the staff. They have so many wines and they are all delicious. Even my husband who doesn’t care for wine liked a lot of them. We enjoyed it so much I joined the Wine Club. We love the events they have going all the time, especially the food truck and live music on Sundays. Best of all… they are very dog friendly, both inside and out. We love bringing our pup there with us. Make sure you give this place a visit, you will be hooked!

I have a few favorites at St Julian but if you know its going to be cold outside have the heaters up and running. Did not know they made vodka or rum.

Love coming here. Over the years I’ve frequented St. Julian quite a few times and every time I experience something new and delicious. A personal favorite is their Shalom wine. This year, we had an amazing host, and we found quite a bit of take home bottles including the S’mores, cafe latte, Moo-low, PB and J, and watermelon cider. For those with a sweet tooth looking for some sweet wine and a good time I’d highly recommend this place. Something to take note of is that it does get quite busy and it’s been as such every time I’ve gone so you’ll want to get there early or allot for wait times.

Had a wonderful time at the wine tasting with friends. Learned about pairing wines with different liquors and foods.

Another visit to St. Jullian for some yummy wine tasting. Staff is always kind and helpful. So many selections to choose from. Strongly suggest becoming a wine member if you are within a short driving range. You get 4 free wine tastings each month, and a percent off your order. The minimum purchase is 2 bottles every 3 months. It can be shipped to you or picked up. They are always family friendly! Dog friendly (outside Only) during outside events, for example, on Sundays they have live music and a food truck. Always check ahead of time to confirm

Owner must be invested in plastics bc they don't allow reusable water bottles "bc of bachelorette parties" (sneaking in more boooze?) so they only SELL plastic bottled water. I mean if someone is getting that tanked, idk why you wouldn't just ask them to leave or kick them out? Wine is ok, vibe is pretty mass-produced. Not my fav. But the staff was nice and they do sell lots of yummo snacks/sauces.

My husband Matt and I have been coming here for years. We love every bartender we meet and the exchange of stories! We got to have our drink pours with Luke today and he is one of a kind and a hoot!! St. Julians is our favorite winery! Luke finally got us to sign up for the membership! I hope for many more great future memories!

We highly recommend this winery. We had a tire come off on the highway and we ended up in their parking lot for a bit. The staff was beyond profession and courteous. Everything was delicious.

Went for the Sunday food truck event and because we had a groupon for a tasting. This is our third time and it's a very nice place. If you do a tasting try and get Tracy she's great and very informative!

I stopped here for the first time and my experience was amazing! Let's start with how everyone working there makes you feel welcomed. They answered all questions and the knowledge they shared helped me in my decisions on what to sample. We were on our way to Silver beach and this pit stop was well worth it! Enjoy!!

We got a wine flight each with a mix of sweets/dry and a vodka flight and they were all delicious! Gorgeous outdoor seating area and service was very nice. Will come again!

Adorable winery, very inviting compared to the 'round barn winery' across the street. Go here instead! We were visiting from out of town and got 2 flights of a mix of sweet and dry & a vodka flight we shared. Cute outdoor seating area and also had snacks for purchase. All the positive vibes! 💓

I am a regular and come when my wine is ready for pickup. I even have had family members recently join the wine club after i raved so much about the wine. Today, I did wine tasting with family on my membership. We received the smallest amount of wine I have ever received for wine tasting. Every party around us had a noticeable difference in the amount of wine. My family member tried to use her wine membership and they charged her for the wine tasting. At first they claimed they couldn’t find her membership. Then, they said it was only one membership per day; even though, it was for two different households. I’m not sure why multiple households can’t use memberships in one day. I’ve never heard of anything like that before. My relative is strongly considering cancelling her membership as she was unable to use it the first time she tried to use it. I am so embarrassed and am considering as well. Do better!

This location was SUPER BUSY and CROWDED. We sat on the patio. You get a large, super-large choice of wines plus spirits to taste. We got to choose 6 wines/spirits to try. They serve them in small stemless glasses on a board and arrange them in clockwise fashion. Some interesting ones were the PB&J Wine and the Peach Sparking Wine. We grabbed a cheese plate from the fridge in the main room and brought it over to our table so we had a snack with our wine. The only issue I had was the glasses smelled a little funny and weren't that clean.

I have been a wine club member for 10 years now. This past weekend we had Luke as our server and he deserves recognition for his outstanding service skills and knowledge. Luke did an outstanding job assisting several people all at once and never made us feel rushed. He was extremely helpful as he described each and every sample, he knows his wine! We felt this was our most enjoyable wine tasting experience we've ever had at St Julian, as we were so impressed with his professionalism as well as a great sense of humor! Hopefully he will stick around and teach some of the others a few things!

if I could give 100 stars I would. I love this place! you know that Cheers lyric "where everyone knows your name", this is the place. Family, friends, a wonderful lovely place to enjoy and relax.

Excellent place with wine and bourbon tastings. While the wines and bourbon were mostly two sweet for my liking, they did have excellent champagne.

First time there and the staff was great and the wine selection was very good. Would recommend it 👌

Went to a Notre Dame Football game and being my wife's favorite winery, we detoured here after which wasn't far at all. It's a nice little roadside place. We walked in and got a spot at one of the tasting bars (it's not a restaurant style place, it's bar stools and standing type of place). The gentleman behind the bar was prompt and very friendly, very informative. Atmosphere was great, everyone was cross talking about what they thought of a certain taste and what they recommend etc...good size pours, great atmosphere, easy to read menu etc made for a fantastic time! I definitely recommend taking time away to go here, you won't be disappointed. Side note: they make a whiskey that's absolutely delicious but they were sold out when I was there. If you get the chance, it's pricey but worth it it's good stuff.

Love the wine tasting! Our Sommelier was knowledgeable, and kind enough to involve our son with a sparkling juice. Absolutely recommend!

Fun. Tasting is inexpensive. But you will end up buying a bottle or two of the wines or liquors, they are very good and wide variety of tastes for different palates. Nice love music and food. Just a great Sunday afternoon experience!! Lovely staff.

My sister's and I did tastings of the wine and hard cider. They were all great! I love that we were able to bring my nieces and nephews and they definitely enjoyed the sparkling grape juice options

Best tasting room I've ever been to! We tried all the ciders, some wines, and spirits; they were each very unique and delicious. Our server, Marie, was amazing! She was very patient with all our questions and took the time to give us suggestions and let us taste so many delicious drinks. Her recommendations were spot on and we ended up buying bottles of ones we got to sample with her. We would have missed out on those if not for her being so personable and taking the time to recommend drinks after getting to know us a little better.

It looks a nice place to drink with a partner, they have a good prices but I don’t think I want to back there again. I went there with my parents and the hostess her name Cherry was very rude with us, I told her we just wanted to taste 1-2 sweet wines fast buy it and go, when we were at the bar and tasted 1 already she told me I needed to move from there bc she has 2 new lady’s. I bought 6 bottles anyway.

Not sure why I never stopped at this location on my Chicago to Detroit runs They have the Best gift shop. Birthday gifts ✔️. It was a little early for wine tasting. Their outdoor seating and bar look amazing. I’ll be back

Stopped by for a tasting and decided to have their spirits. They have a nice selection of spirits which includes brandy, rum and vodka. For $10 I got to sample six spirits. The servers were kind and professional. A special shout out to Andrew who provided me with a sample of a cocktail he likes with the blackberry vodka and the black and blue cigar. Very tasty! We also discussed pizza and he was able to provide a great recommendation for some good pizza at a place in New Buffalo. Thanks Andrew. Keep up the good work.

What an amazing time we had at this winery. Our server Andrew was fun, energetic, kind and knowledgeable about their selection of wines. By the end of our visit we’d made new friends with other patrons and continued the party at a local restaurant. The St. Julian winery is an experience that you must have if you are in the area.
