Ok, like by far the best croissant I’ve ever had. It was perfect! So fresh and the filling was abundant. You know how you get a pastry filled with something and there is barely anything, not this croissant! The staff were attentive, and the inside was quaint. The only downside to it was the lack of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy those amazing creations.

This place has the best baked goods me and my family have ever had. My sister goes to almost ever bakery she sees and this was outstanding. We traveled all the way from New Jersey for this 100 percent worth it. Great service as well. It is also Star Wars themed. So cool.

Yep, it’s worth it! If you’re wondering if you should spend $7 + on a croissant, YES, yes you should. These are sourdough croissants, so amazing quality and digestible. I didn’t react at all to this!

Purchased a garlic/olive sourdough loaf on 6/29 in the afternoon. The crumb structure was decent, nicely fermented, light and airy. The olives and garlic in it gave off a really bitter taste - similar to alcohol. I've had better versions of this elsewhere. Did not care to finish the rest of this one. Not to mention, upon purchase, the loaf was just thrown into a plastic grocery bag? We were really turned off by their way of packaging, just really screamed "I dont care". Bought a loaf of sourdough bread, it was still warm out of the oven, looked beautiful and tasted even better.

10/10 take this from someone who LOVES baking dishes. My wife took me to Paris because I love parties, their bakeries have nothing on State Flour Bakery! We’re truck drivers and we just happen to see this place next to Guthries not to be mistaken for the pop up bakery, we haven’t tried them. STATE FLOUR BAKERY you have a lifetime customer!!! Went for the first time last weekend and tried just about every croissant! They were all amazing and delicious. I’m thinking about making another run this weekend because I can’t stop thinking about them!

The quality of baked goods they’re putting out here is second to none in the Tampa Bay area. Blown away with how good everything was.

The best pastry filled croissants I’ve ever tasted. They run out quick of some of the favorites flavors. And they’re also known for their amazing sourdough bread. This is a very quaint modest place to pick up amazing food!

Absolutely incredible croissants made with a sour dough starter. The chocolate and Guava and cheese were very good. There is also a cookie dough croissant if you're looking to get wild and crazy.

Absolutely incredible! I have an egg allergy and could eat the scones and the Kouign-Amann! They were insanely delicious. The cheddar bacon thyme scone was hands down the best scone I’ve ever tasted in my life! My husband loved the pistachio croissant and my kids loved the guava! The sourdough and rye bread was amazing too. You literally cannot make an incorrect order because everything coming out of this place is fire!!

This bakery is a hidden gem! The croissants are flaky and delicious- love the pistachio! Our favorite was the cranberry orange scones! Everything was top quality, baked with love and butter❤️ Get there early as they do sell out.

Delicious, enormous croissants, tasty to the palate. We've tried Creme Brulé, Guava, Pistachio, and plain, which made great egg and gruyere sandwiches. Rustic sourdough delivers flavor and texture, making great sandwiches to the last slice! Cannot miss!

All I can say is oh my goodness. So good. Owner is very nice. I like it’s a small family owned business. You need to get there within the first 3-4 hours to see what they all offer. Once they run out. They close. It’s all freshly made.

I wasn’t really a croissant fan before hitting this spot, I still might not be…but I am addicted to THESE croissants! The baking artistry of these darn things is only surpassed by their flaky, buttery crust and natural/fresh fillings! I’m a fan! Highly recommend!!

Saw about this place on the news. The pastries looked delicious... But ... They didn't have any gloves on while they were making the pastries and they were on TV making all this food without gloves on. The pastries are probably delicious but you threw me off watching on TV with no gloves on Wish you all the luck in the world for a successful business but will not be eating there

Felt like having a muffin this am… googled ‘bakery’ and saw I was near State Flour… never even noticed it even though I’ve been up and down Dale Mabry a million times. Glad I found the place and went in even though it looks small from outside. 🤩 Passed on a muffin for the pistachio croissant…. OMG! SO GOOD! You have to go here…. Now!!!

State Flour smelled heavenly as soon as I walked in, fresh baked sour dough, an assortment of pastry items (croissants, cookies, muffins), all of which looked made to perfection. I purchased one of the chocolate chip cookies, extremely good & highly recommend this for those who are a cookie monster like myself :) Also got the jalapeno cheddar sour dough loaf which looked very tasty and fresh! Can't wait to devour that this week! Bigger bonus points for liking Star Wars, I loved all their aprons! Friendly staff, ridiculously tasty baked good, can't recommend this place enough!

Croissants to die for! The croissants are super flaky and the flavors are so good They sell out soo quickly so I will recommend getting there as early as possible. The best sourdough bread in Tampa.

As a bakery snob, I can’t wait to go back. The Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough was crusty on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and had a nice, subtle balance of jalapeno and cheddar. The Butterscotch Crème Brûlée was loaded with butterscotch filling and a nice light sugar crust on the exterior. Just a really cool small bakery overall.

I am so glad I found cream filled cornetti in town!! They are HUGE!! Bigger than my palm!✋ I bought 3 and finished them all in the morning😋

Delicious and fresh baked croissants, scones and bread. Tampa has some really great bakeries, but State Flour is one of the best. The croissants are sizable, flaky and fresh. My favorite is always the plain croissant and a good pistachio croissant (when available). You have to get here early because they tend to sell out quickly.

I’m a patisserie lover and this visit was very disappointing. I won’t deny that the food looks amazing, but thats not the same with the flavor, didn’t like the flavor of the butter and the pistachio croissant its an absolutely NO. A very STRONG amaretto flavor that I don’t know why is there. I dont think i will be coming back seems I drove 35 minutes to try everything and didn’t get a good experience. They don’t serve coffee which is another disadvantage.

Amazing! We stopped by the first day we were in town, and they were sold out of everything by 11am. Of course, we got up early the next day! They had a great selection of croissants (classic, chocolate, pistachio, guava, & kouign-amann), muffins, cookies, and sourdough bread. I bought a loaf of the sourdough and thoroughly enjoyed it with my family... not too tangy and the perfect amount of chew. Also had friendly service. Excited to stop by again when I am next in Tampa!

OMG! I think I just died and went to Europe… Actually, these are better than any Parisian or Italian patisserie I’ve ever had. I’d like to think of this as my own little secret in South Tampa or SOG (South of Gandy) but it’s a must visit no matter where you live..

Ok so I’m French. Paris born. And my wife is a chef. Baker. And pastry chef specializing in classical French food. We are both in agreement that these are the best croissants in southwest florida. As people who make a living off of French food we recognize something special when we see it and this place is special. Oatmeal raisin cookie. To die for. But the pistachio croissants guys omg. It’s filled with a light fluffy pistachio cream and you can tell it is made with hand churned butter (we can) I’ll attach a pic 11/10 And yes they taste as good as they look

This small hole in a wall pastry shop in South Tampa has the best pastries in town. They are only open Thursday to Sunday at around 7 am. Even before they open, there are cars waiting outside. You better get there early since they seek out fast. Because it was our first time, they patiently explained their offerings for the day. They specialize in sour dough and has two options in sour dough bread- plain and jalapeño cheddar. The pastries as also sour dough based. Plenty of choices- croissants, scones, cookies, cookies, etc- they are all good. They are a bit expensive but its worth it. We bought $75 worth of pastries and shared them with our neighbors. Can’t wait to try more. The word is out- get there early for the best selections.

Wow! My family enjoyed our experience shopping at the State Flour Bakery. The employees/owner are so friendly and eager to help customers understand the menu. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I was shocked to have to wait in line at 9:15am on a Sunday! I recommend arriving between 7am and 9am to ensure you can purchase your favorite items before they sell out. I loved the pistachio croissant and the pumpkin spice too!

I was so excited to go but after going I was disappointed. The chocolate croissants we good but the bacon cheddar scones were too salty to eat.

You get what you pay for! Although the price is expensive, $10 for one pistachio croissant and $8 for one guava croissant, they taste unbelievably delicious!!! They are more like a piece of art work. Pretty and tasty!
