We went in the other day for lunch, we had their Amberjack. It was delicious! We originally drove by and saw the long line during the previous evening and decided we had to try it out.

A+++ gulf seafood. Grilled shrimp was simply amazing. Key lime pie was delicious.

First time trying this place and it was beyond amazing. The snapper sandwich is flavorful and filling. A little pricey but definitely worth it. Faye was the sweetest cashier. Smile was very welcoming.

Staff very cheerful and helpful.

Says they are open till 10 on Saturday. Closed at 915. They shut off equipment at 9. Go elsewhere.

Food is fresh and made to order. The staff is always accommodating - extra lemons, side of ketchup, you ask, and they provide. You can eat inside or out, so take your pick. We eat here every time we come to Florida!!!

This is a walk up window.. there are 2 entrances a streamer side and fried side. So if you're like us with a big party we had to split up. We ended up with carry out and taking it back to condo. I had grouper sandwich and it was delicious. My hub had shrimp he loved it. Our friends had the crab legs and loved that little meal. The counter service was super friendly. Inside great atmosphere with large picnic tables. But be prepared sometimes they are lined up out the door to order. Parking can be congested as well.. drive with caution.

First time we’ve ate here it was amazing. Definitely will be back again

The shrimp was great. I had something unidentifiable in my cole slaw. I brought it to the attention of the manager and was given a new meal. Still couldn’t do the cole slaw though. Since we live in the Midwest, we always eat seafood when we are traveling to and from FL. Counter serve. No real vegetarian options. My husband wasn’t crazy about the baked beans. If we go again, I will just get shrimp and skip any sides.

Great food and a great atmosphere. I had a grpuper sandwich, and it was pretty great. I also had some shrimp from next door, and that was also excellent. Definitely would recommend.

First timers for us and we left very full! Had the soft shell crab and grilled triple tail. Both excellent!! Fish dip was also amazing. Grits could go so/so, coleslaw and potato salad amazing!

The sofshell crab sandwich, hushpupies and banana pudding were all very good.

All the locals eat here. That should tell you everything. If you want great food at reasonable prices in a good, clean atmosphere a stone’s throw from the beaches of Destin and Fort Worth, Stewby’s is your place. Tucked away off the beaten path, it’s one of the last hidden gems of the coast.

Ordered thru grub hub and the food and our service was amazing! Marty our driver was quick, professional and courteous! The steamed jumbo shrimp, grouper, and shrimp salad were excellent!

Best seafood on the gulf coast. Eat here multiple times per visit to Okaloosa!

Always good here. Can't go wrong. One improvement would be to add a Coke/Tea refill station so customers can get refills quickly, instead of waiting off to the side of the front counter waiting on an employee to get become available.

What a great place. If you are reading this review, then you are reading a genuine review from a very cynical person when it comes to restaurants. This place should be set apart from all other seafood restaurants. Outstanding food. Short wait. Great atmosphere. The only thing I can complain about, the only thing: there’s a loud speaker in the dining area that is a bit too loud for the space. That’s it. The place is wonderful.

Fast, friendly service and freshly prepared food. This is our favorite spot besides Boshamps! The line can get long but it moves pretty quickly, so don’t be deterred. Can’t wait to get back for the fried shrimp!

We went here 2 nights in a row, ate at both the steamer and regular restaurant. We enjoyed both as the fried food was excellent as well as steamed crab legs!! The price was very reasonable! I highly recommend Stewby’s.

Best lunch spot on the island. Do not miss it. Edit: 8/24/2924 Still as good as it gets on the island. Get the food to go and sit on your balcony with better food than you will get with that view anywhere else.

Unfortunately Stewbys has just gotten to big. Drove out of our way going back home to have some delicious gulf shrimp and it was just ok. Disappointed in the raw shrimp to take home. Smaller shrimp was peeled and no color, almost looked like thawed grocery store shrimp. Settled for the bigger shrimp but still doesn’t look like the shrimp in the past I’ve brought home from here. You have broken my heart stewbys. I’ll just have to rent a boat and get my own shrimp out of the bay😔 Your fish monger told me your shrimp comes from anywhere from Ft. Walton to Louisiana….. very sad.

Easily the best and freshest sea food in the area. Delicious sides like fried okra and cheese grits. Homemade salad dressings. We went twice after trying several other restaurants. It’s not on the beach , but they have a simple patio area. Many other folks just got it to go and ate across the street at the beach. Best key lime pie compared to other restaurants, too.

Stewby's never disappoints. Portions are generous and it's always delicious and fresh. There's usually a line out the door for good reason

The best seafood I have ever remembered having, and I habe travelled alot. Perfectly cooked. No licence so byob.

We got take out at dinner time. They wouldn't take my order over the phone because it was their peak time, so I had to go down, wait in line to order, then wait for the food. They were really busy, so it all took quite a bit of time, but everyone was friendly and the food was good

Very fun atmosphere. Food came out kinda slow but you know that walking in as they’re cooking it for you when you order. Tried the fries, beans, and hush puppies. Hush puppies, surprisingly good. Fries are solid. But the catch of the day, kinda made me feel sick? Super heavy somehow. It could just be that individual catch. The fried soft shell crab was so juicy. Split on the food because of it but good for the location. Oh! The shanty pie was delicious. Sorry almost forgot

We drive by Stewby's last night and there was a line out the door. Came back today for lunch, and I can see why.

Heard great things about this place but we found it mediocre. We got the snapper sandwiches, fries, and popcorn shrimp. The snapper was in small pieces that fell out as you tried to pick it up and were overcooked and dry. Not horrible but not great. The fries were good and the shrimp was really good, much larger than typical popcorn shrimp you think of. Much much better than AJs Oyster Bar though!

The place was solid, I just did not see a huge difference between a lot of other seafood places from my experiences. We enjoyed it but we would try different restaurants in the area before going back again. We would eat at the steamer if we have a chance next time.

So delicious & fresh & affordable seafood right near Oskaloosa Beach. My hubby and I loved every bite of what we ordered. So incredibly good and I couldn't remember 6 this more of you are looking for a fast, affordable & fresh seafood. Plus the customer service is phenomenal!! Faye was the kindest server ever and she had a passion for Stewbys and the high quality fresh seafood they stand for. My hubby got a grilled chicken sandwich with potato salad and loved it! He doesn't like seafood like me. I had the grilled amberjack fish tacos with the most yummy green beans. I couldn't decide on cheesy grits or green beans so Faye hooked me up with a taste of each. I mean, what kind and caring customer service! We will be back in our 3 day stay close by. It's a little warm in the restaurant and ambiance is just ok, but it's clean. That's why I have it a 4.

We've ate here for years! We come to FWB every year for a beach vacation. We go to Stewby's at least 3 or 4 times during the week. Grilled shrimp is our favorite. Gumbo is great too! The food is simple and delicious. My daughter is gluten free and has never had a reaction. Excellent food and service!

We came here multiple times during our 1 week vacation. Everything was perfect, fresh +hot, and delicious every time. Highly recommend the mahi mahi tacos, gumbo, popcorn shrimp, grouper sandwich. Their fries and sweet tea are also to die for! Everyone who worked there was always friendly every time.

Looking for GOOD seafood at a reasonable price you found it!!! We got the gumbo, fried shrimp, shrimp tacos and fried Mahi. We left not even a crumb!!! The fried shrimp was so good! I wish we had a location in Houston, TX! Highly recommended!

Great food, great customer service. If you hit them during peak lunch or dinner times, be prepared to wait, but its definitely worth it. We went twice during our 6 day vacation, and both times, the experience was phenomenal. Some of the best gumbo I've ever had in my life, and the shrimp tacos were amazing as well.

Very casual dining with the typical fried foods made just right. We stayed in the area for 5 nights and dined here twice.

Captain Ds and Long John Silvers has better food..overcooked seafood is the worst,besides the soup they call gumbo..

First time here and we left full and happy! The Grouper Tacos were delicious. I appreciated how they didn’t fall apart as I was eating them. Hush puppies and calamari were also delicious. Good experience overall. Nice staff too.

Service was very good even though the place was packed! The food was OK. Their fried items felt under seasoned to my taste. Shrimp was a bit overcooked, and the blacked grouper tasted like a dirty grill. They were very, very busy, though, so this might not be accurate 100% all the time.

Good quality fish. Amber jack, fish dip, grits and gumbo were good. Banana pudding is ok(not scratch made pudding)

Excellent service, great food. I had the pick 3 plate, which is not on the menu. I got fried shrimp, fried grouper, and grilled grouper with fries and green beans, which had turkey meat in them. They have fried crab legs there. Everything was delicious. People in line were raving about the blue crab. We found that for those who want the steamed crab legs, with corn and potatoes... there's a spot next door, but they close earlier than Stewbys.

Add the seafood boil to the shrimp or in a bag. Nobody wants dry seafood, and you can make the boil (broth) spicy. If I knew you would sprinkle pepper on my shrimp and crab and call it spicy I wouldn’t have ordered

Amazing food! Cool local vibes. The place was packed every night which tells you something. I ate there multiple times during vacation. It was recommended by a local, and I was so glad I went. My son who can be picky loved the food as well! Just stop there otherwise you'll miss out on some incredible food!

OMG! Hidden gem. I got the Mahi Mahi dinner plate with cucumber salad and fries. Talk about YUMMY. We also got the Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was great! Awesome prices, food was great, and really great atmosphere. 10/10 recommend

This is on the must-visit list! Hands down freshest tasting seafood around! Forego the overpriced chain restaurants and indulge in melt-in-your-mouth colossal shrimp. The fried okra was seasoned perfectly and the hush puppies were delicious! Don't pass this place up!

Food is phenomenal! husband and I had grilled grouper and fried grouper sandwich with hush puppies definitely go with fried sandwich and hush puppies are outstanding!

We had been told of Stewby’s from family members, but we were reluctant to try dealing with the lines. We happened to catch it early with only a few people ahead of us. We placed orders to go and had minimal wait. The food was excellent and our service was top notch. Ms Faye was funny and friendly and her smile lit up the place. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Loved it but didn’t like the fried oysters at all. Everything else was quality and I highly recommend it.

I had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos 🌮 The fish was not cooked all the way, and it made me sick. If you are looking for seafood, there are better choices. If you are looking for quick and convenient, this is a good option.

We wanted to try the fried seafood, but there was a huge line, and we couldn't wait since we needed to be back on the road for our journey back to TX. We decided to try the boil, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. Definitely will return next time we're in FL.

There was a wait but the food was so worth it. You have indoor and outdoor seating options. Indoor fills up fast so I'd suggest getting there early to be sure to get an indoor seat if you want indoor seating.

Food was good. But chicken samwich for grandson has slaw on it, which was an unwelcome surprise. People were nice. Upcharge for using a credit card. Full tip prompted despite this not being full service.

This is simply the best seafood I have ever had. My wife and I went here two nights in a row on vacation it’s that good!

Awesome food, friendly staff, quick service, and fair prices. The line is usually out of the door, but the employees actually work hard to keep it moving. I feel like I can ask for recommendations and get an honest answer instead of being recommended the most expensive item on the menu. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience here. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the sides were so tasty. It's a great place for a quick easy meal.

Very impressed with the food and service at this eatery. We were a group of 11 and had a VERY large order. The food came out quick, hot and delicious. Even our little ones raved about how tasty everything was and they didn’t leave a crumb!

I appreciated how kind our servers were, it was busy but they were still personal and helpful. The food was delicious. Me, my husband, and son agreed that the hush puppies are the best we’ve ever had.

Food was absolutely delicious! We got the fish tacos and fried fish. They were super friendly and knowledgeable with gluten and dairy free! There will be a long line and hard to find parking but worth it for the experience and food!
