We love Sugar Mill Sweets. We have NEVER had anything there that wasn't great! And Jason's cakes are just as delicious as the entrees.

This place never disappoints. Yeah hours are wonky but it's easy to over look. Cute atmosphere. Great service. Food is always great.

5/14 - This was my first time at this location & IT IS SOOOOOO CUTE. You walk in & seat yourself. I had the order the Taco Salad 🥗 & that's was really good. Enough dinning room space for a meeting or two. Food was good 😊& I highly recommend. It's located in Fort Walton's Beach.

Went here to order a cheesecake for my fiancé’s bday. Had lunch. It was so good. I wasn’t expecting the flavors I got from this little hole on the wall bakery but lunch (chicken salad croissant and salad) was so good I ordered an entire cheesecake. Coconut cake was moist but not too sweet. Love love love. I’ll be back. Thanks a million. My fiancé said it was the best cheesecake he ever had!

If you want good home cooked food this is the place. They have daily specials. Excellent home made cakes & desserts. Excellent service.

Always full of neighborhood people. Nurses from neighbor hospital. Fantastic desserts and good soup. Bonus for a teacher, like me? The boss was student to one of my cancer survivors buddies. She's in her 80's now.

Oh how I miss this man place. Friendly kind staff the best food ever. Those pies and cakes OMG!!! I wish I could have them ship me every thing on the menu. If you’re visiting a must go but get there early. Miss you guys 🤗

Such a cute place! We had soup, salad, and quiche and it was all phenomenal! We also tried the carrot cake and double dutch cake, which were delicious also. Will definitely come again! Workers were very polite and friendly.

This past Friday Was an awesome day to be at Sugar Mill sweets,Pepper steak is one of my favorite meals.Anytime I'm traveling for the company I always look for that Particular meal on any menu. I took my hubby to Sugar Mill Sweets today because our initial choice had closed their kitchen and he was about to get hangry. A close friend of ours had taken me here last year for my birthday so I figured he would enjoy it. He was skeptical at first but I was confident that his doubts would be put at ease and I was right. Our lovely server was so attentive, warm and jovial. Never missing a beat, she got us sorted with some ice cold water, gave us a few minutes and when we were ready to order, she made sure to ask if it was our first time here. Since it was my hubs first time, she told him that he gets a free brownie. That perked him right up. He decided on the Soup, Salad & Quiche combo while I just HAD to have their Chicken Divan. When he couldn't decide on a soup, she brought him little sample cups to try, which I felt was a very thoughtful gesture. For their salad dressings, they have about 5 or 6 but 2 are homemade, their vinaigrette and their ranch. I love vinaigrette so that's what I got but hubby surprised me by getting the same because he usually adores ranch. After sampling the soups he went with the chicken noodle one (I didn't even get a chance to taste any of them - that's how hungry he was) and then we dug into our salads. Oh boy! They were fresh, chilled, crisp and the vinaigrette just brought it to the next level. Shortly after, our mains arrived and from the first bite, I was immediately transported to a time when my late father used to make chicken a la king and beef stroganoff and he made it with lots of love. That's what Sugar Mill Sweets does. Good food with lots of love! Their Chicken Divan made me feel so comforted, it was like going home for a home cooked meal and that's a feeling I have not had since moving to the US almost 2 years ago. The rich creamy sauce that blanketed the fluffy rice, tender chicken and broccoli was full of flavor and although it came with a slice of garlic bread, I passed it on to the hubs because I knew I would not be able to finish it. After we finished our meal, he chose his brownie and all I'm going to tell you is that I'm probably going to go again next week so I can get pictures and add it to this review. That's if Ian doesn't blow our way.

If you want an affordable but very high quality cake for any celebration, this is the place to go. I’ve gotten a few different cakes here and each one is addicting, light, and packed full of flavor!

I love the chicken salad plate! The brownies with peanut butter are awesome. Everything is so good. Wish it was open more often.

I always appreciate a privately owned restaurant over a chain. This little place is a gem. The menu is varied and original. My advice - eat a healthy salad for lunch so you can follow with a homemade dessert guilt free! Their cakes are awesome!

It has been over 25 years since I have been here. I have forgotten the cakes and the dinners. There is love in the cooking! I do recommend this place for foodies.

The food is always great, well priced. And the cakes are to die for. Love the staff, always welcoming and they take good care of you.

Enjoyed lunch with my mother on Friday & we each ordered their chicken salad in half an avocado plus there was a salad & fresh fruit!! 😋 Oh was it good!! Staff is very friendly & accommodating. Wonderful atmosphere & amazing attitudes everywhere! Was definitely worth the trip to FWB. We even split a piece of their amazing coconut cake❣️We'll be back, but YOU MUST give them a try!! 💜

This place is absolutely delicious. Their quiches and ham bean soup is my favorite. But their cakes…oh my goodness. I dream about the strawberry cake and my husband loves the carrot cake. They also made us apple and pumpkin pies for thanksgiving which I know are going to be amazing. Jason and the whole staff are so kind and work hard to make everything so delicious and wonderful. It feels like home inside. By far one the best bakeries I’ve ever ordered from and one of my favorite places for lunch in FWB.

We found this place a few years ago and returned today. They are still delicious! Their cake is my favorite. Moist, soft, and fluffy with great flavor! We had strawberry cake today and it puts Edgars bakery (known for thier strawberry cake) to shame. YUM!! It's a small, unassuming establiment and oh, so good! The prices are fair and the service is fast. They have a great lunch menu. We stumbled upon Sugar Mill Sweets three years ago while we were on vacation. Let's just say we've been looking forward to going back ever since then. They didn't disappoint. We bought a sampler of all of their dessert squares and two slices of cake (just for the two of us to try). They were all fantastic! It's going to stay on our list of favorites.

Cannot even begin to say how delicious the food was. We called in our order and picked up. Food was still fresh and hot by the time we got back. The flavor was so incredibly homemade. Staff is delightful and welcoming. Everything you could want in a local eatery. Job well done & will be back soon!!!!!

Can't say enough great things about this wonderful hidden gem on the Emerald Coast! Jason and the entire staff work very hard to make each guest feel not only welcomed, but like family! The entrees are scrumptious and the portions are enormous! Make sure to save room for one of the homemade desserts-- cakes, pies, brownies, and cheesecakes!

The best chicken salad with avocado.

We eat here for lunch and dessert when in Fort Walton. It has the atmosphere of an old-fashioned tea room. There are excellent choices on the menu and they have several daily specials. The food and service are excellent. Dessert is a must!! We always take home extra!!!!

Absolutely, fantastic Carrot Cake!

Absolutely delicious food...Enjoyed the Cheesy Vegetable Soup and Spinach Sausage Quiche plus a brownie that was to die for😎 The staff was super friendly and just a great little cafe to enjoy some great food😊

Not gonna lie, got hung up on the male stereotype of thinking , you want me to eat lunch at a place called Sugar Mill Sweets? But i got the roast beef sandwich and salad, which was just great, then i got a free brownie cause it was my first visit, so win win. So if you are like me, get over yourself and try it out, it's well worth it.

The best cakes anywhere. Jason and his team do a great job. I love the double Dutch chocolate loaf cake and my wife loves the banana bread. Whatever you choose, you won’t regret it. Sorry, no pictures. We ate it all!

Sweet tooth heaven!!!! I'm an oklahoman normally I HATE rice, but the way mine was cooked and served, was SUBLIME!! The enchiladas so gooey, need to add the sourcream in the middle!

Have been to sugarmill suites several times and the food is always delicious! They have specials everyday offered on the blackboard out front as well as inside. They have the best baked goods anywhere! Their cakes are fabulous!

Great bakery and lunch restaurant

Honestly, they have some of the best baked goods I've ever tried. Brownies are to die for! Cakes are always amazing and always such a wide variety! Their chocolate chip cookies are the best too. And it's not just desserts, it's a great little lunch spot too. Everybody is always so nice and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Chicken Divan was luscious. Baked spaghetti (a lunch special) was delicious as well. Portions were huge! The pink lemonade was very refreshing. Desserts were displayed in a case as you walk in. Pies, cakes, cookies, bars, brownies etc. It's a small space but very homey. The server was very nice and friendly and efficient. Great place for lunch or take out bakery items.

Best chicken divan and alfredo lasagna!

Clients have brought several Sugar Mill cakes, treats, and platters to my workplace over the last year. EVERY TIME we are all drooling and impressed. The chocolates, the carrot cake, the brownies, breads, and prices cannot be beat. MMMMMMM

Great place to eat lunch. Have wonderful bakery items from fudge, lemon bars, wedding cookies and pecan pies. Bought 2 pecan pies for dessert at a party I was attending. Ordered it special to make sure they would have them. Family owned and run.

Stopped by to have a quick sweet dessert. The homemade apple pie was to die for. Bought a loaf of apple/cinnamon bread for Thanksgiving. Prices can't be beat.

Food delicious and desserts AMAZING!

Service was great and my lunch was fabulous; Chicken, artichoke hearts, mushrooms in cream sauce over flaky croissant. There were 4 adults & 2 toddlers in our party. All were happy with their choices and they raced over the ham & white bean soup.

A very old school dining experience with recipes from a vintage style menu in my opinion equals success!! We love everything we've tried at Sugar Mill Sweets from the Quiche to Turkey Divan and your meal isn't complete until you've had one of their from scratch on site home made style sweets from Cakes to Brownies. A wonderful place!!

I've been coming to lunch at Sugar Mill for many years with a group of friends. Never had anything but great food, great service and desserts to die for. Love this place!

Small, local hidden gem popular with seniors and the military. I first started going there about 15 years ago with my grandmother and the quality and charm has always been superb and reasonably priced. Simple, but always delicious, menu and the best cakes in town.

I bought a pie from here for my mother's birthday and she loved it! I loved it too, but wow, just getting the pie was quite the endeavor. The hours for this bakery are not very... realistic. 0800-1445 and closed on the weekends? They open after I'm already at work, and they close before I even get off. I thought to myself, "With these kinds of hours, I'd imagine the only people that are even able to come here are both elderly and retired." Sure enough, through a miracle in my schedule, I showed up and the place was filled with an older, retired population. I think it's fantastic that they are able to sustain their business on the hours they do, but being open on Saturday would probably work wonders for people who have a typical day job like myself.
