I just went there to buy lottery tickets don't really know the store that well to give them more than what I did

Recommend by a coworker and I was not disappointed. The Ruben was made in-house and extremely delicious. The pasta salad was made in-house as well and exceeded my expectations. Will recommend and will come back again!

Been going to SSSS for several years. Gone downhill since the new owner took over. That happy and fun neighborhood vibe is gone. Place is understaffed and missing stuff. I call in 2 sandwiches for pickup and am told after I get here that they cant make my sandwich. Should have received a call back but they r so understaffed and in the weeds that they didn't. Deli case has half the amount of deli salad selections they used to. Not giving a lower score bc the food itself is still great, but u can tell this place isn't the same anymore. Doesn't help that I have to sit here and wait for my sandwich while I should be at work. Ticket time on this is a half hour at this point. The girl running the kitchen is doing awesome, but she can only do so well with the obvious lack of support from the owner. Met this guy too when he first bought it. Seems he's in over his head. Got a lot of work to do especially if ur gonna do a price increase like y'all just did

What a hidden gem... absolutely best sandwiches my family has ever tried. Huge portions and taste is incredible. Life is complete

Friendly service, tasty sandwiches, what more could you want. Roast beef was rare and paired with some excellent cheese and bread; everything else was fantastic. Very good and unique vegetarian wrap too. The guy calling the area “extremely bizarre” and “ghetto” etc. should get out a bit more and realize his public opinions can hurt small businesses (that do what they’re supposed to do, make good food, very well). Don’t discourage people from trying a place just because it’s not your personal cup of tea.

My sandwich was amazing- hot, fresh and well portioned. The chicken tasted tender and not that rubbery tennis shoe texture that you expect from a grilled chicken sandwich that’s under $10. Friendly staff, had me in & out in about 5 minutes. I’ll be back!

Stopped by on a quiet Monday (Mondays are often good days to visit sandwich shops as crowds seem to be less). It's a small shop with friendly low-cost drawings on the walls and some dollars hanging from the ceiling. It was clean and inviting. Having never been there before, the friendly owner handed me a menu and told me about their specials. I ordered a fractal sandwich. Took about five minutes to put together, and I was out the door. This was definitely a good sandwich for a reasonable price (about $9). Next time I'll go without/limit the spicy cherry peppers because, yes, as advertised, they were spicy. It also came with a small side item of which they had many to choose from. Would I come here for lunch again? Absolutely. I would like to try out some of the other sandwiches. Two thumbs up!

I get here once/month. Its been consistent. What more can ya ask for?? (Dont bother... They cover it. Great ingredients. Quick service. Blah blah blah.) Maybe beer and wine added, wouldnt hurt??

I went today 9/10/21 and my bf always talked good about this place that I had to try it so I had the Buffalo Ave sandwich with sm cup of pea salad and cucumber water. It was so delicious and they gained another happy customer. I will be back and I will let my ppl know about this place. The staff were friendly and again the food was freaking awesome. Thanks babe. I found this gem due to all of the fabulous reviews. Reviews are so important so I’m leaving my own. This place is a gem. Their sandwiches are delicious and extremely difficult to pick just one. The ambiance is so cool and the staff is so very friendly and genuine. We had Chad make our sandwiches this visit and he was the best. Do yourself a favor and make Sulpher Springs Sandwiches a must. I will be back over and over again.

Without a doubt, best in the bay when it comes to genuine, hand crafted sandwiches as well as home made recipes. Top notch customer service is what adds that special shine to this diamond in the rough.

Hidden gem here in tampa. recommend by a local, I came from Seattle via citrus county. He suggested the BATT sandwich. Delicious and one of my favorite sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Listen, if you’re in any way nearby or driving through and like awesome sandwiches, you simply have to stop by, you won’t regret it. I don’t get impressed by sandwiches easily, but the Ahi Tuna sandwich was simply eye-opening and unlike any sandwich I’ve had. The Bourgeois Pig was nice, hot, and so so excellent. Owner happened to be present and was so pleasant!! Don’t miss out!

The food was decent. The area is extremely bizarre. It feels like the ghetto. There is a strip club next door. The door and windows are painted, so it feels dark and isolated inside. There are random dollars pinned to the ceiling and the side dishes are in a strange counter display. It felt dirty and crammed. I will not be back.

WE WANT TO TRY PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING ON THEIR MENU AND HAVE TRIED THESE SO FAR: CUBAN (GET THIS A LOT), THE FLORIDA AVE REUBEN (LOVE THE RED CABBAGE), SPRINGS THEATER, THE BATT (LIMITED AVAILABILITY), THE ARCADE, DELI SALADS, JACK DANIELS BREAD PUDDING (ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS), COOKIES. Drove all the way here for a sandwich only to see a sign that says "closed early for staff meeting." Seems awfully unprofessional to change your hours so randomly. Maybe pay a little overtime and be open when your sign says you are. Have a staff meeting after hours.

First time I ever ate there was today my son brought me a sandwich home and I've been looking for a good Reuben sandwich since I left South Carolina 25 years ago and I've tried a lot of places in Tampa for a Reuben and nothing compares to this best Reuben in the world

Yummiliciousness. Packed into a little storefront with 4 friendly staff (I'd gladly have a beer with any of them) is a really great sandwich shop. With humor in the naming process (the TPD is a black & blue chicken sandwich!) and seriously well thought-out combinations between bread. I got the Fractals and it was made right there in front of me. Super delicious. Parking is tight considering there is another restaurant across the side street (Istanbul & it rocks!) and a gentlemen's club on the other side. Deal with it. Hey, the firefighters eat here, why shouldn't you?

Best sandwich joint in Tampa. I work nearby and have been frequenting this place for years. It can be easy to miss. Don't drive past it. It's located in a small, sketchy plaza. Don't judge the place by the outside of the building. All food is made fresh on site and the employees are friendly. Parking will be tough during the lunch hour as this place is popular (for a good reason). Plan accordingly and support your local business.

There’s a reason why this place has such a good rating. From the customer service to the sandwiches, it’s always great! I own a little sandwich shop but any chance I get to come by here and grab a sandwich, I always do. I always get the Batt but today I had the 1927 and it’s amazing, definitely my new favorite. If you haven’t been here, please do yourself a favor and go by and try it, you won’t be disappointed!

I had the “1927” today. I’m 43 and spent 22 years in the military so I’ve had sandwiches all over the world. This was one of the absolute BEST Sandwiches I’ve ever eaten!! Just absolutely amazing! Way to go guys!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Enjoyable sandwich shop, ideal for a lunch. Takeout available or a few small tables inside. Everything is made fresh, sandwiches also come with a choice of side (bag of chips or a variety of items in their refrigerated case). Loved the Ahi Tuna sandwich! Fresh fish with delicious flavor. Chicken breast was very juicy.

Sulphur Springs Sandwich Shop definitely lives up to the hype!! I love sandwiches having been a fan of the Blondie comics where Dagwood made epic sandwiches. I love sandwiches that combine new twists to tried and true favorites. I had the Ham A Tampa and added jalapenos and it was great! I love that they stack up paper thin ham and grill up the bread so it's just warm, cheesy, perfect amount of sweetness from the apples and the subtle heat of the jalapenos were the perfect add. Treat yourself, go get a sandwich, your tastebuds will thank you!!! Being a Seminole Heights/Sulphur Springs native myself, I love their adding to our neighborhood and holding it up.

If you haven't had the privilege of consuming one of the best wraps in Tampa, the Purity Veggie Wrap, then you haven't lived. I also highly recommend their one-of-a-kind egg salad sandwich on perfectly leavened white bread. Don't miss out on their cucumber infused water either. Very friendly staff, especially the enthusiastic young lady that never fails to cheer you up when you visit. This place is exactly the hometown sandwich shop that the world needs right now.

I know this place is often rated the best in Tampa but why did it take me two years to find out for myself? Not only is the shop adorable and plays great music but the staff is also very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I got the limited availability sandwich The BATT with a side of bowtie pesto pasta. Yum!! Fresh and made quickly, even when I changed from to go to dine in. I will be back because I have my eye on at least three other sandwiches and side dishes💜.

This Ahi Tuna was one of the best I have had.. from the first to the last bite Love the Olive looking wasabi, it added the heat i was looking for. The cucumber salad was a refreshing and crisp..but the Jack Daniels bread pudding was of the chain.. I tried to make it home to add ice cream to it... it didnt stand a chance.. highly recommend..

New find.. Absolutely the best pastrami in Tampa Bay, hands down. Funky fun place with accolades and graffiti all over the place. Small place only about 8 small tables. If you blink, you will miss it. Owners make everything fresh and from scratch. Wife makes own salads (quinoa. Tabula, himmus). Pastrami is king but other sandwiches are also great. Even offer vegan sandwiches. I come from NYC originally. This place does it right with deli .

Passed this small sandwich shop many times before stopping to give it a try. Clean store, fast service, and practicing safe distance. Had the very good Spring’s Theater Sandwich and my wife had a Kale & Beet Salad with grilled chicken. We enjoyed both. Menu has a large selection of items and says they make everything in house. We’ll be back.

It’s a bit pricey but only because the sandwiches are amazing quality and they give you so much! The staff were so lovely and the food is great. I’ll definitely be back often. You won’t regret trying their food.

I’ve lived in this area for years and never noticed this place until now! I’m so happy I stumbled upon it. Everything about this place is amazing. I called to place an order for a Cuban and it was ready in 10 minutes. The sandwich came with a small side (which are all made in house) I got the cucumber salad, probably the best I’ve ever had, the Cuban sandwich was made to perfection. The girl working there was super sweet and had a great attitude. I’m going to keep this place on rotation. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend it

Ordered the Bird Street sandwich. It blew my mind. The only thing blocking my entrance to lunch heaven was the lack of chips, so I have a bag of Zapps Voodoo chips on hand for next time. Go. Order. Tip (‘cause these people are working hard). Eat.

Total hole in the wall place my friend told me to try. I was put off buying a can soda then being charged like $16 for a sandwich with a thimble side of food....I got the Reuben bit in....wasnt even mad. It was so yummy and HUGE I ended up eating the second half the next day. Only thing I'd change is maybe a little more up keep on the building and larger side containers for the to go people. They give larger side portions of you stay and eat.

The Florida Ave Reuben always seems to have more meat on it than the last time I ordered it. It's like they have some unspoken loyalty program in which they go from putting an impressive amount of meat on your sandwich to putting an unbelievable amount of meat on your sandwich. At this moment in my unspoken membership in this suspected loyalty program, my Florida Ave Reuben sandwiches are just shy of 4 inches thick.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Locally owned and sourced. Best Reuben in town by far. They have just about every kind of sandwich you can think of, and all the ones I've tried so far are excellent. Not a huge menu, but they are very good at what they do.

Excellent Sandwiches and Excellent Service. Very Clean. It does need access for Wheelchairs to get in. I highly recommend the Pasta Salad to and Good Prices. Courteous People and Friendly.

There is a great selection of sandwiches here. We tried the 1927 and the Bird Street and both were delicious. Portions are great and they have really good sides. Will definitely come back to try more.

This is absolutely one of the best sandwich shops around! Every single time I go, every sandwich I try is delicious! The Bat and The River Raft sandwiches are my 2 favorites! The owners and staff are extremely friendly and ensure the best quality food and service you could ask for! A must eat in the area!!!

Went there for the first time yesterday with a friend who swears by it, and man, was he right! This little place is GREAT! I love all the unique names of the sandwiches, like the Tampa Muff, perhaps an homage to the old strip club next door. I had a mojo pork sandwich with cheese and a baked apples mixture that was amazing. I tasted my friend’s French dip on Cuban bread, and it was equally tasty. Their sides are interesting and really good, and they boast all fresh ingredients. Husband and wife team own and run it, and they are doing a killer job. The place was packed. I’ll be back, and bring more future regulars! Highly recommended!

Incredible selection, and having tried a few, I simply can't wait to try the entire menu. Everything was super fresh, and prices were very reasonable. Their homemade pasta salad is incredible as a side to likely one of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. The staff was so happy and sweet. Can't recommend this place enough as a first time customer.

Picked this place based on reviews as I needed a place close to the car dealership that I was getting service at. This place didn't disappoint!!!! While it may not be much to look at, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't stop by!!! Best pastrami on rye that I have ever had in the Greater Tampa Bay area...and I've had a few (dozen)!!!!! Love hole-in-the-wall places and this one is AWESOME!!!!

Stopped by on our way back home from a quick visit to Tampa. When I asked Vanessa what she recommended she she told me that if I get the Ruben that "it will ruin me" from enjoying any other ruben. Well, let's just say I hate that I don't get over to Tampa enough!!!! Hands down the absolute best my wife and I have ever had, and that includes NYC!!! Amazing! This is a must visit! If you live in the area it needs to be a heavy favorite in the food rotation! You guys rock! See you in November when we will be back in the area!!!

This is by far one of the best sandwich shops. I had one of the specialty sandwiches. Brisket, with a slaw vinaigrette topper with a nice bree cheese. I also had the brussel salad which was out of bounds! I loved it! please check it out. They did 3 table visits while I was there. It is a great place. I drove from Soho area. It is worth every penny of the drive and it was under 20.00 for 2 people. great portion sizes.

I went on a recommendation of Neighbors and I must say they were correct the food is fantastic I got the brisket sandwich fantastic people that work there very friendly I think this is going to be a place I will be visiting on a regular basis prices are pretty reasonable The only bad thing I could say about it is because of its location parking is at a premium not it's worth trying to find a parking place because the food is fantastic
