What a great little coffee shop!!!! Staff was knowledgeable and very welcoming!!!!!

Been wanting to visit this spot for some time but the hours of operation make it difficult. Today I finally made it in and ordered a Cuban and a shot of espresso. I will say that it was easily the best espresso that I’ve had in Tampa that I have not hand made myself. The sad truth is, most places make coffee for people that hate coffee. Seriously. Try drinking a simple shot of espresso from Starbucks without all the milk and syrup gobbledegook. It’s disgusting. The shot I had at the Lab was bold, full bodied and sweet. The kind of shot that leaves you disappointed that it’s gone when you’ve finished it. I recognized the guy who made the shot as the owner of the shop from the website. He had two separate beans in his hoppers and offered me a choice, which I was very pleasantly surprised by. I didn’t really visit for the food and I don’t really care much about their sandwiches, but I don’t mind adding as a side note that the Cuban I ordered happened to be very good as well. I am looking forward to brewing my new bag of Zeal and exploring more of their selections in the future.

Coffee was amazing. Everything bagel breakfast sandwich was incredible. Catch them roasting here also. Love this spot! Pour over coffee!!

Hands down one of the best coffee shops in Tampa. They make their coffee with attention and care.

Amazing service and the best Chai I have had.

I went in to try Zeal coffee. I was a bit taken back by the atmosphere in the Lab. Music and customer service were not on par with how I portrayed the coffee experience to be from reading about Zeal on their website. I won’t be going back to Lab for Zeal coffee in the future.

great breakfast cuban and cortado!

This place had very good service and although it was busy they were still quick with orders. I ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon and cheese and a matcha iced latte with vanilla flavor and it was very good. The place is also cool and they are pet friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and want to grab some coffee or even breakfast.

I will be craving the iced americano and a jalapeño cheddar bagel breakfast sandwich from here from now until my next visit to Tampa. Thank you guys for a providing a delicious breakfast and coffee as well as a moment of peace in your outside seating area every morning during our stay! We will be back next time we are in town!

Absolutely delicious. I totally recommend the dirty chai late and the cheese and guava sandwich. Staff and atmosphere were on point. I'm definitely coming back.

One of the best local roasters / highest quality. Lots of small batch beans, usually Guatemala, Brazilian, Ethiopian roasted to perfection. Delicious shots, if their food options were better this would take me top slot in Tampa for espresso drinks.

My short stay in Tampa was made pleasant with a visit or two to The Lab. Cafe Au Lait and berry muffin helped start the day on the right note!

I was so happy to find this place and happier still to find a natural process coffee and a roaster that knows how to get the most out of the coffee and truly represent the notes listed on the bag. HOWEVER, 8 OUNCES?!! First we lost our 1 lb bags, then we had to get used to 12 oz bags and now 8 oz?! Next we'll be buyin it by the bean! Yikes! Sounds like a great name for a coffee shop, "Buyin it By the Bean". Here it comes-inflation hits everything. Still, this is good coffee!!

GREAT place for A grade coffee beans as they have unique and great selection of ORGANIC beans seasonally too! Always consistent roast and amazing variety on beans esp for lighter fruiter roast for use with AEROPRESS and pourovers! Plus great inhous nitro and pourover to drink there too! And as a bonus their munchies are fine too!

You can smell the pleasant aroma of the roasted coffee beans from afar. We got a bag of decaf coffee beans and a vanilla latte. I’m not a coffee aficionado by any means, but the latte is probably the best I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to come back and try their other coffee!!

I ordered a 3 pound bag of the Organic Honduras Marcala to hold me over through this pandemic and what a wonderful purchase that was! Brewing the beans with the Kalita Wave extracts an even flavor out of it and makes the day more awesome! Super delicious! Thanks Zeal Coffee!!

Coffee is fantastic. Price on whole bean is top notch. Grabbed a pour over of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and it was awesome. Think I found my new joint to grab my coffee!

Very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly owners. I walked in with tons of questions about coffee (I just bought a new espresso machine) and they went above and beyond to help me out. We just found our new favorite coffee roasters and we will be back very very soon!

We love local coffee roasters and are constantly on the lookout for new ones to try. Zeal Coffee Roasters and Coffee Labs are kind of off the beaten path but they are worth finding. They have a very unique roast and only roast small batches so everything is extremely fresh. Unknowningly we showed up right at closing time but that was not a problem and we were welcome and served with a smile. We were very impressed with the wonderful chocolatety flavor of their espresso. We may have found a new favorite roaster. These folks are the real deal and know what they are doing. They are worth finding.

Best coffee I've ever had, in or out of Tampa. Chill vibe, food options, and great service.

Best coffee in the county no competition. The quality is phenomenal because they roast there owns beans without overroasting like so many other Brewers. This keeps the unique taste of the beans in every sip of coffee. I've never enjoyed drinking just straight black coffee before but Zeal somehow manages to accomplish this easily. The people behind the counter are wonderful, friendly, and great to chat with. Cool people and chill atmosphere that I really enjoy. Now all there coffee is great nothing is overroasted, so an espresso shot doesn't taste like Starbucks. Their cappuccino is the ****in jam! Something interesting to note here but maybe it's just me, whenever I drink their coffee I never crash. Regardless of how much I may drink. Last, my only concern about this place is I hope they work on extending their hours more because 3pm is too early to close. Also, I hope they do not change locations again because they do not make it easy to find Zeal. That's just something has nothing to do with the rating thou. Please check this place out and enjoy it.
