Been coming here at least once a month for 2 years now. Best sushi in Miami in my opinion… the fish literally MELTS in your mouth, the ingredients taste fresh, and the price point is great. I always get the omakase or the tuna special. Every single person I have brought to show has never been disappointed. We are all obsessed 🤩

I thought I was in Tokyo, but it was Miami and the experience was as good as the best I have had in Japan. The ramen soup was the best I have had in the USA. The omakase was a world-class experience. Now the backstory. I was looking for a Japanese restaurant in Miami for our one-night stay. Four menus in a row had cream cheese in every roll. I prayed, there must be an authentic Japanese restaurant and I found this one. Nothing against cream cheese if I am searching for a good bagel. I was looking for the best sushi in Miami. I think this is it. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience.

Outstanding sushi. A nigiri based Omakase had high quality fish including a tuna flight. The otoro was melt in your mouth, the rice needed more chewing than the fish. Aburi (torched) salmon belly was another home run. Don't let the food court atmosphere dissuade you from going - it's an absolute gem. Bought sake at bar located centrally - their markup is pretty high. Parked in Palm Court garage 3$ for up to 4h. MIA Market is on 2nd floor.

Best sushi in Miami. I’m vegan so not much for me but I had a cucumber maki roll and it was delicious. My friends all said that from a quality and value perspective this place is the best of the best!

fish quality and shari are phenomenal. I had the Omakase and four pairs of ootoro, while my daughter enjoyed the salmon special. P.S.: The wasabi tasted authentic.

Possibly the best bang for buck omakase in Miami! 10 nigiri + hand roll for $60 in a casual food court setting.

I recently REvisited Sushi Yasu Tanaka, but at their new location in B100M and it Is still, absolutely incredible! From the more intimate and exclusive atmosphere, to the service, it is truly a 100/10. The food quality, presentation, and flavors are all unique and all special in their own form. Hands down, the best in Miami!

Sushi Yasu Tanaka is the place to go to when you are visiting MDD in Miami and want to try something authentic and fresh. I had friends visiting from Europe and it was an absolute hit for them and for me. We went for lunch and the staff was very welcoming and helpful with our orders. I had the bowl with half & half rice/salad, tuna, salmon … so delicious. For appetizer we had, sashimi and ceviche, if we could lick the plate we would 🤤 unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of that. Definitely recommend this place, specially in the summer refreshing and light.

Nice bustling atmosphere in the heart of Miami’s design district. While the sushi bar doesn’t have the aesthetic of an upscale sushi joint, the sushi itself is exceptionally good. A nice, relaxed, vibe, with no pretentiousness. Just quality sushi.

Absolutely delicious omakase! Great customer service. Hidden gem. Followed my dietary restrictions as well. Fish was fresh and the seaweed was crisp. Every bite was perfection.

I'll admit I was skeptical about trying omakase in a food hall, but no more. Such a great value for the price. The fish is incredibly fresh and delicious. The Japanese uni melts in your mouth like ice cream. I'm not a fan of the food hall location but we will definitely come back again for the sushi & omakase.

Yasu and his team make the BEST sushi in miami - hands down. The quality of the fish and the sushi rice is unparalleled. What an incredible meal - we got the Omakase, hamachi hand roll, tuna hand roll and spicy scallop hand roll. Truly the best meal I’ve had in Miami and top sushi experience I’ve had outside of Japan. Thank you Yasu for bringing such quality to us!!

Considering the portion size and the food court setting, I found it to be on the pricier side, although the food was fresh and tasty. I came for lunch and I got the otoro, chu toro, scallop, salmon and hamachi nigiri and the toro hand roll.

Had such a great experience for our one year anniversary. We come here often as it’s one of the best sushi spots in Miami. Tomo and the chef team curated an amazing omakase experience for us where they were able to use their creativity for all of the nigiris, hand rolls, etc. Everything from the uni to the wagyu was presented beautifully on each plate and the service and timing was perfectly in sync. Tomo especially is a rockstar and we are excited to come back soon.

I went for the Omakase menu. 10 sushi’s + 1 handroll. It’s very good, fresh and beautiful sushis. I could have go for a second round. The atmosphere is good but not matching an omakase restaurant.

One of the best places to get affordable omakase in Miami! This place is tucked away at the back of the food court in Design District’s Mia Market, the vibe is causal but the sushi is top tier. We opted for the 8 piece omakase since we wanted to pick out our own hand rolls and nigiri. The spicy mayo aburi salmon is incredible, and you have to try the chopped toro and pickled radish hand roll and the waygu miso and negi sauce handroll, they are simply outstanding bites of food.
