the best sushi in shelby/utica! ordering takeout online is easy & it’s always ready when it says it will be ready if not earlier. dining in service is quick as well. always fresh & delicious! the staff is super friendly and gave me free mochi on my birthday and my fiancé’s birthday. thank you sushi yes!!

I have recently ordered twice from here. Both times the sushi was so fresh. Everything was amazing! Definitely will be back and highly recommend.

My family stopped here on a whim, simply to try a new sushi place. So glad we did! The restaurant was cute and clean, and the service was fantastic. There were plenty of delicious options on the menu; my kids had Gyoza (pan fried chicken and veggie dumplings) and Udon. My husband and I each got 2 sushi rolls with miso soup. Everything was delicious. The server was even kind enough to give my kids some chopstick "helpers" for them to better learn. I can't wait to stop by again to try some other menu items!

The food is wonderful, the service and atmosphere are also amazing. For sure my family will be back.

Had this for the first time today. Absolutely loved it! Everything tasted as good as it looked. Staff was were friendly. Will definitely be going back!!!

this place has some of my favorite sushi. its my most regular sushi spot. ive only had one batch that wasnt the best, but in their full defense we had put in the order about half an hour before they closed. honestly the only roll i dont recommended is the salsa roll, but even with how much i disliked it, that isnt enough for me to bump down my rating. one time my boyfriend had left the establishment without his wallet, and one of the workers chased down his car in the parking lot to give it back to him. also their miso soup is probably some of my favorite that ive had. i love trying rolls that i havent had yet, and theyre (almost) always winners. seriously some of the best sushi near where i live, and theres a lot of sushi spots in my area.

First time trying this place. Did not disappoint. The place is clean. Bathrooms are super clean. The food was fantastic. Miso soup and avocado salad were wonderful. Sushi was delicious, every ingredient was definitely fresh. Highly recommend this place. Service was great. Update: Never disappoints. Just wanted to post more pics of delicious food.

I walked in for the first time only to get greeted by the waitstaff saying sorry I have no table then the other lady said you can sit here and then no sorry you can’t sit here I will never go again worst experience at least say there may be a wait

Great rolls, delicious appetizers! Best sushi in Michigan at the moment! The staff were very friendly and polite too. Carry out option was perfect, everything was ready within the time that the online order showed. The food was delicious!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would be going back soon to try out different rolls.

Such a hidden gem, I love Sushi Yes. The service here is fantastic. They always go above and beyond. The restaurant is clean, with ample oarking outside. Seating inside is limited, but I've always been able to get a table when I came. They also have takeout plus pickup for Uber/DoorDash. The sushi itself is top-notch. They have a great variety to choose from, plus other food as well, such as soup. I recently tried the Lady Dragon, absolutely delectable! Highly recommend!

Haven’t tried this place out in a while and I have to say this place is still a good spot for some good sushi! I really enjoyed everything I ate and they have a good selection of items in the menu.

Okay, it's been awhile since I've said anything about a restaurant. Sorry about that. But I'm back on here to tell you all that Sushi yes is an absolutely awesome place to get food. It's like a Hidden Gem. It's off in the corner where you barely would notice that it's there, but it is very homey, polite, and good. I have been terrified for a long time to eat anything Sushi related, but even if you are not a sushi buff they have an wide array of dishes that are not sushi. It is definitely worth you coming in and trying even if you don't eat sushi. If you eat sushi and you have a friend that does not, this is the perfect place to bring them because there's so much more to offer than just sushi. My wife eats Sushi I do not. I get the shrimp tempura, the gyoza, they have some other fried mashed potato thing that is awesome. You can actually pick up mashed potatoes with your hand because it's fried. I also get the vegetable spring rolls. It is a wonderful comfortable small place. They definitely need to expand to a larger restaurant because now it seems like it's getting very busy. A 100% must visit. It gets my full endorsement.

It is a wonderful lunch and dinner sushi joint. I've been here a few times and haven't had a bad item. My personal favorite is the Godzilla roll with the jalapeno peppers. Also got a night sky and my GF got the salsa.

We LOVE this place. Ine of our favorite sushi spots. We carry out once a month. We have even called for a party platter for a birthday party. They always have their food ready on time and are CONSISTENT with food quality and portions. Please don't ever change the way you fo business!

Have been here about 10-15 times now and every time the service is very nice and sushi has been fresh and delicious. They are always super accommodating to my gluten sensitivity as well! Wish I lived closer because I would definitely come here more often!

Loved this place. Very disappointing when I place an order online, arrive at the pick up time and am told by the staff “15 minutes” as in 15 more minutes until your order is ready. Pathetic. Just very rude and poor customer service. Update: wrote that while I was in waiting

A small place in a strip mall. Found it on our way using Google searched and based on the rating. Glad we went there, tried different sushi rolls and sashimi, loved it all. Not to mention, our host was very nice and helpful too.

Sushi is delicious, especially their Tiger roll! However, this is the third time that they have offered a free California roll with a $30 purchase but have not followed though. Starting to think that they post that as an initiative to purchase? I’m not too keen on incentives that do not follow through…May rethink ordering from them again.

From one visit, I'd say it rivals my favorite sushi spot in the area. Great prices and delicious rolls. Sashimi was very fresh also. We will be back for sure.

The food is delicious and plentiful at a great price. If you order through their website, there are coupons, which is always welcome. Everyone was friendly. I did not see a place to sit, but they hustled the food out fast. If this is on your way to work or on the way home, you may have found your new favorite regular sushi shop. It has all your regular sushi fare, and a fried cheesecake for desert, which my wife absolutely loved. Thanks for the great food!

Excellent sushi. We tried the avocado appetizer called the Dino egg and it was amazing. Really good miso soup and house salad. We tried 3 sushi rolls and loved all of them. We will be back.

The food is really good, although they don't have a large menu. The service is excellent! The dining room is really small, part of it is used as storage, and the small space can get crowded easily, so it's best to get your meal to go. Otherwise, I definitely recommend trying it out. 👍

Best sushi I’ve ever had! It was also affordable and I can even order online! :) my food came out faster than estimated waiting time (from ordering online). Also, the Spicy California roll is my go to and it was actually spicy! SO GOOD!!! :)

Very good sushi rolls! Not sure what they do to make them so delicious, but I haven't found one that I don't enjoy.

I did not try the food, but i doordashed here and their customer service was pretty bad. I was told to sit down twice while waiting for the food to be done, not to mention it was quite a long wait (with doordash it should be ready when i get there). Also I watched the front desk lady interact with an older man and i felt bad for him. Just seemed they had no respect for any of the customers. I will never dash here again.

I have been coming to this sushi place since it opened. I actually stopped by, by chance, around the time they opened and have been ordering from here since. Everything is always fresh, beautifully presented whether it's dine-in or takeout. Servers are so kind and courteous and will answer any questions you have and customize any roll if you'd like. The ambiance inside is clean and calm. It's very bright and well spaced so you don't feel like you're going to crash into anyone walking around or moving at your table. Prices are pretty comparable to most restaurants - and in some cases, better priced. This ALWAYS gets me to order more than I intended, haha. While many sushi restaurants offer customization, these guys just knock it out of the park. Flavors are phenomenal. We usually get a at least one spicy roll deep fried in tempura - you have to try it! Gyoza soup for 2 is always super fresh and hot and will fill you up if you're not careful! Cucumber salad is a great appetizer if you're going for light, crisp flavor before your meal. If you're in the area, stop in and give them a try!

I ordered sushi by recommendation of my friend. Quality not bad. However portion sizes were small. So, I got less amount from what I expected compare to my other place usually order: small rolls, minimum fish, ginger like for one person - while we ordered 8 different rolls for 4 persons. We were not full and have to order additionally pizza.(

PEOPLE WITH NUT ALLERGIES: I would not recommend eating here. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious. But if you have peanut or tree nut allergies, do not eat here. We were told that there were no nuts in the sushi we ordered, which was probably true, but it got cross contaminated and resulted in a severe reaction. Like I said, food was great, but they do not do a good job of keeping their nut items separate from their nut free items.

The Sushi is amazing i can never get enough of it, and i love it that they have a complimentary options. Also their ginger sos is reeally good. I highly recommend the Tiger roll.

My wife and I get take out from Sushi Yes literally every Friday. We just can't help ourselves, this place is too good.

i ordered through door dash and put an allergy alert on one of the items i wasn’t sure about. They called me and told me one of the things on my list had my allergy and they offered me a refund or a different item immediately. i go to this place routinely and love it.

i wish there was something below 1 star so i could rate that because the edamames werent boiled right, they were still hard and not even a little salt with them and also don’t even put much, i feel like this place robbed me

I wanted sushi and didn't want to drive to my usual place so i figured i would give this place a try and i am glad i found this little gem it gives my usual place a run for it's money everything was fresh the prices were fair and everything tasted delicious by far some of the best sushi i've had in a long time i would recommend this place to any sushi lover.
