Not a very neat store, employees weren't that friendly or offering suggestions. Desert was good though. No complaints there

The ube ice cream is actually to die for, and the service here is always so great. It’s so pretty and aesthetic, the perfect place to chill while enjoying a sweet treat. Shout out to Mia, she is the BEST !!! She’s always so nice and energetic even when working the whole place by HERSELF. Idk how much she getting paid but it needs to be 10x more, I love coming in to Sweet Society and being greeted by Mia, it makes the experience here even better. <3

Love the atmosphere, we come here with our kiddos every time we eat ramen next door. They have delicious taiyaki ice cream, we usually get ours stuffed with either Nutella or custard. They change their ice cream flavors frequently, so it's always something new and different. My husband and I look forward to these sweet treats as much as the kiddos do!

The service and atmosphere is amazing! I had the honeydew sago drink and it was everything I expected it to be delicious!

My friend and I went to Sweet Society’s pop up event at Sweet Baton Rouge yesterday and really enjoyed it! The strawberry cups were too cute, and both the lemonade and strawberry black tea they offered were great. We’re looking forward to going to their actual store in the future!

This place is certainly different. More like Italian ice than actual ice cream, but still very good. The stuffed waffle fish is fantastic!

This little sweet shop is right next to Boru Ramen. It's connected by a hallway. It's decorated nicely and the prices are reasonable. My honey and I enjoyed our "ice cream," although it didn't have the texture of traditional ice cream. It was very tasty.

My granddaughter and I have been here a couple of times. It's just a unique place a treat. The items are explained if needed and the time given to make a choice.

I love bingsu! Living in Japan, it was my favorite sweet treat! I was super excited to try to! The strawberry bingsu is yummy and the atmosphere is cute for a day out! Expect a little wait but overall worth the epxirence if you haven’t tried it before!

Our family lived in Japan for a few years so this was a nice reminiscent treat. Prices are bit over priced, but service and food is good.

I’ve been a customer since they’ve opened and we always had a good experience especially with the wait time even when it was busy. Lately they have been slipping. I came in March and it took them 30 mins just to make one tayaki for me and it wasn’t a busy day. I excused it because i thought maybe it was just a bad day. Came back in yesterday, I ordered tayaki ice cream for me and my kids. I got mine after 5 mins. After 20 mins, we were still waiting for my kids ice cream tayaki. Spoke with a worker and asked when would I get the other part of my order, she said they accidentally skipped the rest of my order and i would have to wait ten mins once they were done with the orders after me. I was annoyed and told them it was an inconvenience since we had to leave. They did end up giving us the rest of the order after 5 mins. But my son was missing nutella in his tayaki. I didn’t even go back to correct my kid’s order because i didn’t want to wait a long time again. This was our last straw. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.

The food there was amazing, and I loved listening to my favorite K-pop groups! The service was a little slow, but it was totally worth the wait. I will definitely go there again in the future.

they did NOT let us use the restroom. Don’t come to their business. Food and drinks are terrible!

Sweet Society used to be amazing, but the past few times I have gone, it has been terribly awful. The past two times I went, there was a written sign on the door that they were out of taiyaki pockets. Tried to go again today and was able to order the taiyaki ice cream only to wait 30 minutes for them to tell me the machine is down. What am I wasting my time for then?? It’s ridiculous. I’ve noticed the wait times are increasing for no reason too. Expect to not be able to receive the ice cream half the time you decide to go. Used to be my favorite dessert place too but not anymore. So disappointed.

Delicious and fun dessert items featuring "exotic soft serve" ice cream, sorbets, and delicious fish-shaped objects stuffed with your choice of tasty additions then cooked to order. They also have an array of Asian bagged sweets and treats for sale, some of which were familiar and some I had never seen before. They are conveniently located around the corner from City Roots coffee shop if you like coffee with your frozen treats. The shop faces a public area within the Electric Depot footprint providing nice outside seating. Well worth the trip!

Giving a 5/5 because I support home owned businesses and I feel like this may have been a one time thing for myself. 3/5-Service. 5/5-Desserts and variety(esp seasonal) 5/5-Inside is super cute and Boru is also amazing, no complaints at all. One time, I had gotten a simple brown sugar milk tea, and it had a really weird, funky taste to it. I used to work at a Boba shop myself that was also home owned as well, so I knew exactly what I was getting considering I used to make it all the time, but like I said it had a weird taste to it. I walked up to the counter and it wasn't busy at all, and I asked if they could make me another one and this one had a really awful taste(I've gotten this drink EVERYTIME). Boss lady gives me a look and just says "no" outright and shakes her head; super embarrassing for myself as whoever was in the short line just looked at me awkwardly. I didn't wanna argue, I work in the service industry, so I just tossed it and went on my way because I didn't wanna come across as a Karen. Back at the boba place I worked beforehand, if something was WRONG OR BAD OR THE Customer DISLIKED IT we **absolutely** had to remake it, point blank period. Don't get mad at your customers when something can genuinely be wrong, and don't be rude. Either way, other than that one singular time, it was really good and I do recc for those who love boba and everything else! I just hope whoever goes has a good experience. :)

Best Japanese style ice cream. I tried Taiyaki for the first time and instantly fell in love. Also ambience is super cute. Will definitely come again

I’ve been looking for a place that serves tayaki ice cream since I tried some during a trip to California. They only have four flavors at a time and they rotate very frequently so I was pretty disappointed they didn’t have green tea ice cream which I feel like is a must have for tayaki and what I came to try. They do post their flavor rotations on their Instagram I just forgot to check it and for some reason I thought those flavors were in addition to staple flavors. I ended up getting the mango bingsu since I had never tried it but I’m not complaining because it was soooo good. It just melts in your mouth and the mango was nice and soft too. My boyfriend got the tayaki ice cream since they had a flavor he actually liked although I was surprised to see they didn’t offer an option to put the ice cream inside of it. Instead they put the soft serve in a cup and put the open mouth tayaki on top of the soft serve which I thought was interesting because it meant that no soft serve got into it at all. The tayaki pockets were okay, I felt that they didn’t have exactly the texture I was looking for, they were more waffle like than the ones I tried in California. I also tried daifuku for the first time which was good as well. The shop is kind of small so it gets packed really quickly, we actually had to come back the next day because it was too busy and we were going to miss our reservations so be prepared for that but it was much better during the afternoon. The staff was friendly and gave us time to look over the menu and decide what we were going to get since they didn’t have what we were originally looking forward to. Overall I would come here again but I do wish they had maybe two basic staples in their ice cream menu and that their storefront wasn’t so cramped

This was my second time going here. My son was visiting and I told him about their delicious strawberry and custard filled croissants and he wanted to and try their taiyaki. He ordered the custard filled taiyaki with ice cream, my daughter had the cheese filled taiyaki and I had the mango sago. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend this place. Truly a little gem worth going to.

My friend brought me here for my birthday after eating next door at the ramen shop, which is connected to this shop by the way. You can get a discount if you show them your ramen receipt. My friend got ume ice cream while I opted for red bean filled taiyaki. My taiyaki was freshly made in front of me. I wasn’t crazy about the red bean so I’ll stick with cream or Nutella filling next time. I tried a bite of the ume ice cream and it was delicious, very creamy without being too rich. If you’re a kpop lover like me, you’ll enjoy the kpop music videos they have playing. The seating is minimal so big groups may have to eat elsewhere. Get it to go and walk around the area because there are several stores located in the complex.

It wasn't bad but I would have appreciated more variety. They only had fruit flavors and I wanted something like oreo. They had oreo as a topping but not much at all. They would put oreo dust not chunks of cookie like expected. Really its pretty expensive for ice cream but I really nice date locatiom especially if you like Anime. They have multiple Tv's playing anime intros and outro songs with videos. as for the Fish pastry its VERY GOOD and warm. I got it with nutella. I was dissapointed because i thought it would be filled with nutella but it was just a thin layer on the inside. Overall good just had a lot of expectations🤷‍♀️ However they did say flavors change weekly.

We came in not knowing what in the world to get! The sweet employees allowed us to try a little bit of everything! I highly recommend the custard and vanilla ice cream!!! Wow! Going to try the strawberry croissant next time!

Every table was dirty even though there were hardly any customers. Had to ask someone if they could wipe our table. Even then it wasn't until my wife took out some wipes and started cleaning the table herself did someone notice and do something about it. Not the best service. Everyone looks tired. Ice cream is OK. Taiyaki is pretty good. I've just had yet to have an experience where I was excited to go and glad I went.

They have the most delicious deserts I have ever tasted and everything was fairly priced. I will say the rose milk tea wasn't my favorite but I also tried their brown sugar one and it was delicious

I'm absolutely obsessed with this cute little place! I've had the ube ice cream with oreo, which is like a purple sweet potato and is much better than that sounds! And I've tried the bingsu with fruity pebbles. I don't even like fruity pebbles but this dessert is just beyond delicious! The atmosphere is chill and kawaii, service is always great, and love the extra little merch you can get. Oh and you can get 10% off if you bring your receipt in from eating at the Ramen place next door!

If you're on Government Street/Mid-City & are looking for a sweet treat! Pop into Sweet Society! The location is at 15th St & Government & there's parking in the back of the businesses in the electric depot. I tried the rose milk tea (almost passed out when I saw that it was on the menu) and the strawberry binsoo (strawberry compote, condensed milk & shaved ice). Both were generously sized and the flavors were 10/10! I went later in the evening and was able to enjoy sitting outside and loved the lighting/ambience. This is the perfect place to bring a date, family or fly solo!

Had placed a party order of a dozen strawberry croissant last wknd but wanted a different fruit topping and they made it happen. Good thing mangos are in season. I loved it more than the strawberry since it is my favorite fruit. Ty SS! Definitely recommend

Super cute place, a friendly staff, delicious desserts and drinks! A warning if you're sensitive to loud sounds and music and smaller spaces though! When busy it can get very overwhelming, so it's worth it to try to go at a less busy time and to eat outside if you need a little quiet

This is a Japanese icecream popular spot. I drove there form new orleans just to have icecream. You have two choices; dairy and dairy free icecreams. They make taiyaki, fresh right in front of you. I had it filled with sweet red beans. My favorite has a nice and silky texture with flavors of lime an cherry. When you take a bite of the icecream and goes down your troat it is so yummy and cold that it makes you wanna eat more. It has a nice subtle green and pinky colour with brown taiyaki dipped in.

There we were, the three of us, enjoying our delicious desserts at Sweet Society. By the time we finished our tangy lime taiyaki ice cream, there were no other customers left. Everything was silent save for the ongoing sound of K pop music in the background. As the night was getting late, we decided it was time to pack up our things and trek to the LSU bus stop. As naive young college students, we were unaware of the danger of waiting along a shady street in the hopes that an unreliable bus service would pick us up within half an hour. But luckily, we were saved from uncertain peril by a Sweet Society dishwasher. Like the meme of Mercy from Overwatch, she metaphorically held out her hand and offered us a ride back to campus. Though I was wary at first, I couldn't help but be put at ease by the lady's bubbly nature. Also, I figured that any stranger with ill intentions would probably not be picking up three students at once unless they were exceptionally good at kidnapping, and the lady did not look like a competent kidnapper. Anyway, my friends and I all got in the car, and after an entertaining car ride, arrived safely back on campus. I couldn't think of a better way to finish off the night, with an experience even sweeter than our yummy desserts. 10/10 will risk getting kidnapped again.

I loved this place. The food was good. Customer service was excellent. The ambience was superb. And I'm surely gonna visit again.

I've literally made a habit of stopping in here every time I go and get ramen, definitely do yourself a favor and pop in here. Try the new flavors and be adventurous, You won't regret it! Everything I've had here has been delicious.

Completely disappointed in my experience. I went in for a Dole Whip, and not only were they $7...their pricing is not listed anywhere. They have advertisement of multiple flavors on the display, but do not carry all of the flavors all of the time. Totally bamboozled and aggrevated with my experience.

Placed an order for 9 plain Koi waffles to go from their website. Prompt to respond, very friendly. My daughter showed up early to pick up for a party. They accommodated her right then. Thank you so much!! My favorite place for dessert!

Sweet Society is my go-to boba place for SO many reasons. Their boba is nice and chewy with good flavor, not too hard or too soft, nor too sweet. My go to drink is their taro MT. It has a strong taro flavor, but still very creamy, I definitely recommend. I decided to branch out and try two of their new drinks: the mango and strawberry sago. My partner and I have gotten these drinks maybe 4-5 times in the last 2 weeks, IT'S SO GOOD! They somehow keep the flavor of the strawberry or mango so intact, while making the consistency of the drink nice and creamy. The sago is an excellent topping to have in this drink and they don't skimp on the serving either! Both drinks normally come with crystal boba. I personally prefer regular boba, and they were able to swap it out for me. If I had to choose one, I'd probably go with the mango, but you cannot go wrong with either choice. I also tried their hot wintermelon and jasmine milk teas recently due to the cold weather, and they were also excellent! The staff are wonderful and always bring a smile to my face. We also tried their strawberry bingsu. It's a very generous serving with great flavor as well!
