Haven't ate at the York restaurant in over 3 years. Some things never change. Soggy potato oles, grilled items that are barely even browned, forgotten items, and the hard shell on the taco was very stale. If you want Taco John's, please do not let the York location be your first time.

My first time at a Taco John's, the staff was amazing and so sweet! The food was wonderful, great first experience!

One of the workers was wearing pajamas, they all were wearing gloves, but not changing them after touching everything, so kind of defeats the purpose. They’ll touch anything and everything and hand you money wearing the same gloves they prepare your food with. Just change gloves between activities and wear pants that aren’t highly flammable, it’s not safe. Just be more sanitary, hospital bills are expensive.

Food was cold and it just sucks stay away it dogfood eat at you own risk

The food was fast the service was it was competitive friendly atmosphere world recommend

I had two taco burgers they were hot and delicious! I asked for the original mild sauce because the new taco sauce sucks!

Excellent service from staff. A pleasant & clean restaurant area. The order was correct and well-made. Stopped here about 11am on a Monday because I was passing thru on vacation and don't have TJ's in my region. Totally satisfied.

Kid who took order was so rude. Walked in to the establishment and inappropriate rap music was blaring. Food was cold absolutely cold when brought to us. We walked out threw 38 dollars worth of food away. Woman working in there was cussing so loud my kids could hear her. I love taco johns but not in nebraska. The GM and or district manager should take more pride in their store and who they hire. Such a disgrace to the taco John franchise

Waited in the drive through for 10 min with no help. Tried the lobby but it was closed 20 min early. Could see the staff, but they did not help us.

The staff was ok. Friendly but not welcoming if that makes sense. The food was cold. Feel like they should check the temp on the heat table because even the cheese wouldn't melt in the burrito. So maybe a food safety check would be in order. Hot product that should be kept at at least 140° not even being at 75° is a cause for concern.

Stop at 915 am says open but all doors are locked. Guess drive through only. Bummer

First time at a Taco John and i decided to stop and see what is is about since i saw numerous locations along Kansas and Nebraska border. I visited a location in York Nebraska and am NOT impressed. I got a BUY one get one FREE (1) Taco Bravo [Boo] and (1) Cheesy Beef Potato Burrito [Boo]. The food is just Plain: BLAH, flavorless and tasteless overall. Taco sauce was like water. All I have to say is HOW????How could anyone take this place seriously...let me tell you how....Nebraska! Yep... I should have known better. Taco Casa, Taco Bell, Taco Bueno, Taco Time but NOT Taco John....that was insanely terrible!

Food was so so, nothing special and the burrito was too small

They missed part of our order but were willing to make it up once we drive back to get it. Food was great.

Clean restaurant, quick and friendly service, and food was ready quickly as well. The burrito may have fallen apart and the potato oles were a little mashed, but overall a good time was had by all 😊

Tried their breakfast for the first time. My husband loves burritos so he enjoyed it. I'm not a huge fan, but it's also just my preference. Simple convenient location. Located not too far off the interstate and by Walmart.

The lady taking the order in the drive through (at 12:30pm at the York location) was unruly rude. Not only was she insufferable but she also messed up our order.

Mobile pickup sat in drive through they said one minute please for 20+ mins waiting finally just pulled up to the window, finally got someone to help us then we got a moving forward that we need to go inside to pick up mobile orders even tho we picked drive through option on the app. Most greasy food I’ve ever got from a taco John’s, and the tomatoes tasted bad. very disappointed they are normally one of our favorites.

Slow, very slow sometimes almost too slow... sat in line for almost 45min almost made me late back to work with no food, the foods is usually ok, but seen alot better, itd be nice to see a crew that wasnt completely on or off drugs... theres alot of other tacos johns that certainly have this one beat by alot... I think the problem is in the quality of the staffing...

When we moved here 5½ years ago, it saddened us not to be able to enjoy food from Taco John's. Then we had an awesome friend tell us about this location 🥰🥰🥰

I had to repeat myself In drive thru 3 times, got to the window and they demanded that I repeat myself, I just left, they acted like I was inconveniencing them

Witnessed a female worker edwina cough into her glove less hand not wash her hands and go right back to making food...GROSS!!! Will not order there again.

Our tacos hardly had any meat, nor cheese. They remade them but still not much to them. During our 30 minute stay several other customers complained regarding their orders. We ate here 2 weeks ago and it was fine. This was a disaster for us and other customers.

The food was good and the service was great. They were cleaning the floor while we there but didn't clean right next to us which was nice. The young people were courteous.

The workers were friendly and my food was good and fresh. I ordered crunchy tacos and the shells weren’t great but overall it hit the spot for what I was craving.

Stopped yesterday parked went to go inside and it was locked lobby is closed no signs on the doors and watched 4 other cars do the same thing. Put a note on the door. So pulled a 20 foot trailer thru the drive thru. Got a super potatoe ole which man the size has shrunk from how it used to be. NO FORK No napkins... seriously... traveling on the road and you won't let us come in and then don't give us a fork!!!!

Another victim of Covid. Lobby was closed, but drive-thru was open. No sign posted to indicate this. Watched several car loads of potential customers find the door locked, and they left. Losing lots of sales, a big shame. Poor management!!

Possibly the WORST Taco Johns in the country. They had the dining room locked at 2 p.m. in the afternoon to keep guests out while the entire staff took turns getting high out back. Our order was wrong

Disappointed. I understand staff shortages but they could pretend to be sorry or apologize for making people wait 20 minutes in the drive thru. Not only that but they threw our nacho cheese in the sack and it spilled everywhere. When we went inside to get napkins there was no apology or anything for that either. In fact, we were an inconvenience to hand 4 napkins to. We instead got paper towels from the bathroom ourselves and ate our soggy cheese smothered tacos and left. :(

Last two times I've been here it's been terrible theve gotten the food wrong even after repeating it back to me saying it right. This last time they got almost the whole order wrong and the order was almost 30 dollars I'm at the point I'd rather not go back to taco johns anymore.

Inedible. I usually love Taco Johns, and this might be a one-off experience, but I couldn't eat my boss burrito because the rice was crunchy hard. Not uncooked, I don't think, but it had sat out for so long it may as well have been. I didn't know how to dispose of my mouthful. Hopefully on a good day it's better. Just a bad experience. The potato ole's also tasted hard, like they had been sitting out for hours to be tossed back in the fryer for reheating.

Convenient location for a salty bite. Love their Potato Olés! Asked for extra crispy but they weren't quite there. The staff was super nice. Not much choice for vegetarian. Chain should consider alternative options.

I love Taco John's. However, I've had some issues here lately. On this particular trip I ordered a chicken taco salad and got beef (which I didn't realize until I was already back to work way across town). I asked for two sides of house dressing. They're up to $1.19 each now and aren't near full, which is very disappointing. Paying that much for a side of sauce, the container better be full. I'll be back, and hope the next trip goes better to earn the stars taken off this time.

My favorite when Del Taco isn't available.

We ordered a taco Burger we were the only ones there and several people came in afterwards ordered and got their food before we did. There were only three people working. They did give us our money back so we got the taco Burger free but they forgot to put the potatoes in my friends to go order. This used to be the best fast food and the United States Mexican that is it is the worst food. I heard that it went corporate that's pretty sad

Great semi local chain. Food was good and I love potato oles! They're closed a lot though because they seem to always be short staffed.

The people that work here are SO nice!! We just happened to stop in on our way home from a road trip & it was so clean, the food was good & the staff were all so helpful & friendly. I’m vegan & within seconds they helped me make an amazing burrito with lots of additions. Highly recommended. Thank you all for being so kind!

Clean place, good people, expensive, and the food was poor.

I went through the drive thru on May 21, 2023 in the evening. The drive thru line was very long, I waited over 20 minutes after I ordered to get my food. In the meantime, the staff started arguing. A woman came outside and yelled to her coworker that was smoking that she “cant stand his fing attitude”. At that point, I should have left- my food was ice cold and I had lost my appetite. Who wants to eat food prepared for you by people arguing? I will not stop at this location again.

Food was hot and tasted really good. Price was decent too

Tried to order at the drive through at 9:50 pm and they wouldn’t respond. The board was lit up and there was another car ahead of me picking up their order. I spoke into the speaker several times and honked but no response. I drove up to the window and waited there, lights were on but they were literally hiding from me! I pulled out and exited slowly and saw them come out from the back and scurry around shutting off lights. Very bad on their part, all they had to do was politely tell me that they weren’t taking any more orders.

Staff was openly yelling at each other. The bathrooms were a mess.

4-15-23. 1:03 ordered - 1:25 by the time we got our food, only 3 tables in there. Food was ice cold. Poor older lady behind counter was beyond a doubt sick. Breathing open mouth clearly very congested. I'm guessing management made her come in, instead of letting her stay home. Or they should have sent her home

They were obviously understaffed, this led to pretty slow food delivery. However, it was totally understandable as they were working very hard. Good people on staff. I was fine with it as the food was good and they were hustling. Good place.

Went in for lunch and I'm at front counter and see some one on a ladder cleaning ceiling tiles above the food prep area! So Left and am not going back!

Ordered 2 crispy tacos, chicken quesidilla and a churro . The tacos and quesidilla were decent, but the churo was over cooked or sit in warmer too long. It was like chewing on a piece of leather. You would think the server could tell if it was fresh just by feeling the flexibility thru the wrapper. No consideration at all. Very disappointed!!

I ate twice and when i came back to redeem the discount the menu leads a person to believe the tacos are half of what they actually cost... So the 25% discount did not come out as it seemed it should. Otherwise all was great.

Nice staff but the food sucked. Definitely do not get the taco grande soft taco. Yuck .one bite I was Ill.Potato Ole's were edible. In general:I-80 food..be careful!

I'm a truck driver, Parked across the street and came in here to have a lunch , Got told right when I walked in " We don't want you guys here " old lady was named with e that worked cash register . Even if she was joking , Not a good thing to say to people who bring you guys business.

This place has gone downhill drastically, im sure it's mostly from a lack of help and employees being burned out

Went through drive thru at 9pm there was a small 3 car line. However it would of been faster to drive home cook a meal and eat it. Of the order we received it was cold and missing the extra seasoning we asked for...only thing that made it a 2 star was the gentleman at the drive thru window. He was friendly and funny. However $17 was not worth the trip or the wait

I grew up with this place. After years abroad, what a blessing to be able to partake is my favorite Mexican Fast Food joint. A good as ever!

Is not open until 10pm. Pulled up at the drive through at 9:40 and employees were sitting outside.

Ordered combo burritos with no onion and no mild it came with mild and onions didn't know until I got home.

This was in York NE and it was just not good, food or cleanliness. The staff, although friendly, seemed pretty wrung out

Not going back while I was there I seen the manager get mad and curse at the 2 employees she had there, she complained about not having enough employees which I would understand why no one wanted to come in. She got mad at me because I went through drive through, I seen one customer still another customers food and then watched her throw away 2 orders, this place needs a new manager with better customer service no wonder I'm always told to not go to this place, I would have went to Taco Bell but they were closed.

The employee who rang us up and brought our food to us was very pleasant-hence the one star for her, but right off the bat I had to use the restroom and there were flies and bugs everywhere, a tipped over plunger just lying on the floor, took 20min for a 6pack and a pound, soda machine has black mold on it. Killed two bugs while waiting for the food- don’t even know why we stayed there. No way it passes a health inspection.

Havent been to a taxo johns in a while. Man was i disappointed. The ratio of meat in their foods has drastically decreased. I seriously recommend avoiding this place if youre not a vegan

Had to wait 20 minutes in drive thu were told all our food was in the bags we got. When we got home half our order was missing.

Staff complained about scheduling and cussed in the back the whole meal.

Not going back. Took 2 and a half hours for 6 6 pack and a pound. Manager was alright but lady needs better customer service skills. Don’t mention you have to pee while customers are standing there. After we went in the first time they said they didn’t start and then as we waited they went out for a smoke break. 2 of the 4 workers were smoking. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I asked for extra nacho cheese on my super potato ole and couldn't tell that there was any on it. The floor was sticky.

3:30 in the afternoon, two cars ahead of me in the drive through. Only ordered a single meal ... Not a huge order. 30 min wait!!!! How do the function during rush hour????? Ridiculous! There is no reason it should take ten minutes PER CAR. Main guy working was struggling, said he was only half trained ... Managers shouldn't place newer employees in these situations... Not the new employees fault, fix the management.

Stopped in at this TJ as a first time customer. The team was super helpful, fun, and enthusiastic about helping me around their menu. Extremely unfortunate that weekends are having to close down with a team who makes a dine-in experience so awesome!
