I wish I had taken photos before we devoured the food. Got nachos, chorizo dip, birria pizza, churros, and cheesecake burrito. It was all phenomenal. And for 4 people to eat for only $75. Amazing staff, food, and prices.

I’m a big fan of birria tacos. I have to say the birria was lacking in flavor at this restaurant. Service was good. I wouldn’t come back.

Soggy burito they never put in the menu wet burito never even heard of a wet burito I go back in to resolve the issue the employe started arguing with me about a 20$ burito that looks like a rice bowl hell nawl

Food quality has seriously gone down! Ordered an appetizer, cocktail and entree and was almost denied the “ONE complimentary basket of chips/salsa” because my friend only ordered a cocktail and not food! So I guess you can only have the one free basket of chips and salsa if everyone ordered at your table. Also told it was extra charge for taco salsa! Margarita tasted like straight sweet and sour. Corn tortilla was weirdly stale and broke apart. Will miss the experiences I used to have there but will no longer waste my money here.

Food was good. Service was eh. 3 tables and had to get up 3 diff times to find my server to ask for napkins/limes/water. Also got charged $1 for a lemon and $1 for a limes. Don’t mind the $2 up charge as I understand things cost money but for lemons and limes I think is a bit silly and I wasn’t told about the up charge before hand, I noticed when I got the bill.

We went today and shared the Birria Pizza. We asked for cilantro on the side. They were actually super busy. The pizza was incredible. But the cilantro was not on the side. It didn't ruin it tho, it was still incredible. I can't wait to get back in there! Next time I'm gonna emphasize cilantro on the side.

Real fresh and authentic Mexican restaurant

They gave us a free dinner because we just moved here. The food was great, AC was cold which was perfect because every day in summer is unbearable. A very good Mexican restaurant and close to home.

Been regulars for years since it was Martha’s Mexican Kitchen, but service has gone way downhill. The one waitress was laden with multiple orders for alcohol and the guy behind the counter just played on his phone. It is a shame he couldn’t help his waitress. We have been here several times and seen how time consuming it is for staff to make alcoholic beverages, they really need to factor in that extra time. We finally left after waiting over 20 minutes.

My wife's favorite Mexican place when we come to St. Pete. We always get our mangonadas here. Very sweet people.

Although the sign has authentic mexican cuisine it lacks authenticity and my burrito was mushy at best. It could be the worst I’ve had.

The food was amazing! Queso was great and the drinks were good. Restaurant was empty so it was hard to understand why service was a tad slow. We saw mostly to go orders vs in person dinners. We loved the food and will definitely be back.

Ive never been to this place but I will once I am in st Pete. I'm just commenting on the shared plate charge for 2.50. It shows that's all you and your husband ordered including drinks. I can understand there shared plate charge because obviously you didn't order a second dish for your partner and are complaining about 2.50 meaning no tip. So that 2.50 is the tip that is what the charge was for. Obviously your not upset about the amount of food but the price of 20 for a trio platter, meaning shrimp, chicken and beef that's pretty cheap to feed 2 people and yet you complain. That is being ungrateful that you are served enough to feed 2 and are unbelievable to pay 2.50 for it. If it was me or made your letter a whole mother fajita trio for being ungrateful and not tipping. Ugh entitled much. Go to Wendy's next time. Even Dennys charges more for chucked and beef fajita.

We were really excited to try this spot after seeing it on Instagram. However I feel a few things need to improve and I do realize things happen in a business. The service was friendly but not attentive, my guest finished their drinks and had to wait till our meals came out to be seen again by the waitress which was a while. The wait for the food was longer than expected, and we received the wrong food when it came. We did not give you an opportunity to fix it because it took so long to receive the food, and the building was hot so we were ready to go. To have this type of experience and pay what we did leaves a poor chance of success.

Birrira taco pizza was A1 sheeeeeeeeeeeesh

My friends and I stopped in here on Sunday. I had come across a video on Instagram about the birria pizza and I’m on the hunt for the best! It was soo good! Unfortunately we did wait over an hour for food. I get it, things happen. I don’t blame the wait staff, they were very accommodating to us for our wait. Offered us free drinks and a fried cheesecake burrito, which honestly that burrito hit! It was devoured, same as the pizza! My friends had tacos, wasn’t a fan of the steak but the birria tacos were definitely worth that wait! I would come back again just for the birria pizza!

Looking for authentic Mexican food! This is your place. I have been looking for a place like this in St Pete. The birria pizza is SOOO GOOD!! The service is great and we are definitely coming back!

Will not be coming back got charge for me and My Husband sharing the steak fajitas and the waitress lady. Tried to tell me it was on the menu which it’s nowhere located on the menu. Shouldn’t have to pay if you’re sharing so you’re telling me if I got the birria pizza i’m gonna be charged 250 I also got the mango drink it was nothing but frozen ice it look so good but nothing but ice had to try with a spoon so I left it I will not be coming bk and I will be calling to see if they can even charge you for Sharing witch I know they can’t

Absolutely love this restaurant! Friendly faces greet you with a smile. Food is always hot and fantastic. The huge burrito is what I got it's Soo good. My family loves going to taco miendo. The menu has something for everyone from kids to old folks. everyone is eating here. Also they have beer. They do karaoke on some nights.

We've been going to Taco Miendo since it was on Ulmerton. The owners, Jenny and Joe, and their children, are all wonderful people! Food is delicious! The new location is bright, open, and inviting! Anybody looking for yummy, authentic Mexican food, should definitely give them a try.

Cute little place. Birria pizza was delicious and cheesy. The churros were perfect! soft and crunchy at the same time with a delicious cream on the inside.

Best authentic Mexican in the area

Good traditional food. The molcajete we got had a type of nacho cheese rather than a traditional melted Mexican cheese and I'm not a fan. They have a very limited bar menu, but they have margaritas. Diner type atmosphere. Good service.

The people who are complaining about the atmosphere should stick to red mesa and let those searching for more authentic Mexican food enjoy a lovely family owned establishment

Whenever we travel from Ohio we always search for the authentic places. Very good food and lovely service. I always love the music in the authentic restaurants. Will definitely come back for future vacations.

Food actually smelled of vomit. My coworker said this was the case a month prior. When they were out of plantains, they didn't tell us upon ordering nor give us an itemized receipt, so idk if we paid for it. The cheesecake burrito was also not worth ever trying again. The soda even seemed old. So will never visit again. Sad because first two times were amazing.

Birria tacos were great, look forward to trying out more of the menu. I suggest light cheese, its a high calorie menu item.

This used to be our go to Mexican food spot that was more authentic than most in the area. But since the change in owners the recipes do not taste the same and the food is not as flavorful, the quality seemed to decrease as well. It’s just not as good and we probably won’t be going back.

This is in the neighborhood so we wanted to try it out. To be fair we were comparing it to a pretty authentic Mexican restaurant right down the road. It stacked up pretty good. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We both had the Birria Tacos ( which is why I went because their online pictures looked so good ). They did not disappoint. So tasty with the Birria shedded beef in the fryed shell with a consume' and a mole sauce. I would go there just for that. We had a side of beans and rice which were good. We also had a side of Pico de Gallo. The Pico was different because they make theirs with pickled Jalapeños instead of fresh jalapeño's. They said this is because people were complaining that the fresh were too spicy lol. Turns out Pico de Gallo with picked Jalapeño's is pretty good. My wife who loves Pico said she wont make it any other way now. I will also add that their iced tea was brewed perfectly and a step above your average iced tes. Bottom line is, Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Well worth a visit.

The BEST authentic Mexican food I’ve EVER had! Everything is homemade and I noticed in the taste and quality of their food immediately. The owners work very hard taking care of customers on the floor and in the kitchen.

The restaurant was bought out by another company. Any positive reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as it is no longer the same as it was before September 2023. This restaurant before the buyout was the best Mexican food in town. Incredible flavor, well cooked, and with great homemade sauces. It is heartbreaking to see the very talented restaurant staff forced to use inferior recipes pushed on them by the company that bought them. If they are ever allowed to bring back their old recipes I will recommend it again. The staff is still awesome and clearly doing their best, you will feel like family in here.

Enjoyed a tamale plate and mango agua fresca. The fresca was amazing. I could have finished a gallon. The food was fresh and good, The one server was overworked with about a dozen customers for lunch, but she remained attentive and helpful. I'll be back.

Martha’s no longer owns this restaurant. We can in and sat down to an empty and much to warm restaurant . Their ac does not work. There was only one woman serving the patrons… I ordered a taco pastor which was chewy and not very tasty. We missed seeing the welcoming smile of the gentleman who used to run this restaurant when it was Martha’s. We sadly will not be back.

Update: this restaurant has new owners. It was really hot in the restaurant. Pass the Taco Bell in the parking lot to get some authentic, fresh Mexican food! The two taco special is $5 and comes with rice and beans. It’s a great deal, just enough food. Update: the 2 taco special is only on Tuesday now. The same dish is $7.99 and a great deal still. Come here all the time, always good.

Karaoke was way to loud. Food was good. Not over the top. Chips were somewhat stale. Service was good. Will go again & try. I never give up on 1st try

Food was okay. Prices are STUPID expensive. $5 for plain chips and blah salsa... When other Mexican joints serve them gratis? Naaaa...

First of all this is obviously a family owned and operated place so I give big kudos for that. They're doing the right things. Food was fresh, hot and homemade. I wasn't blown away by the food but it's exactly what I expected for Mexican. I got 3 different empanadas. 1 was amazing, 1 was ok and 1 was very lacking in filling and taste. Our server barely spoke English but it's ok. Im pretty sure she was a family member helping out and the manager (maybe an owner) quickly noticed we didn't speak Spanish and came out to help. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Finally got to try this place and love it. My favorite new Mexican restaurant. We had the lengua tacos, quesabirrilas, wet burrito and Tlacoyo appetizer. Everything was amazing and came out fresh and hot. Love their sauces including the smoky chipotle one. Very friendly staff and great service also.

Don't let the tiki Vibe throw you off from these delicious tacos! Authentic tacos Americanized tacos both ways in some amazing hot sauces! Make sure you ask for the hot sauces

I went here yesterday with a group of friends before a concert, and let me tell you, if you’re with a large group of people and they all get silent when they eat, you know the food’s good!!!!! We all had different items and no one had one bad thing to say. The service was great, the food was great, and the Modelo was ice cold. Definitely will be back when I make my way over the bridge.

Wonderful family owned home style restaurant! Huge portions, reasonable prices and DELICIOUS food!! We had sopes, empanadas, tacos and enchiladas and everything was equally tasty. Flan for desert! Oh my!

Since we were right around the corner, thought we'd stop for lunch. Read the mixed reviews so went in with ours eyes open. We were greeted immediately and invited to sit wherever we'd like. Our order was taken quickly and we were brought water. Tasted like cucumber water . . . Delicious! We ordered American Tacos, one ground beef, one steak, and one chicken. The food came quickly and looked delicious! Nice presentation! Tacos had plenty of meat, cheese and tomato. Ingredients were fresh and good quality. Tasty and perfectly seasoned. Waitstaff was attentative, polite, and welcoming. Restaurant is clean, and seating is comfortable. Great lunch stop. Highly recommended.

Our food was really good. We live right next to El Jalisco on Starkey, and that place was absolutely awful this please set the bar levels above El Jalisco we will now be regulars.

The best Mexican food in the area, hands down. The verde sauce, my fav, is crazy flavorful and delicious. The food is always fresh and plentiful. The owners and staff are attentive and kind. Worth the drive.

This is the my new favorite Mexican restaurant in St. Pete. The food is believable, authentic and flavorful. The restaurant is spotless. Our food came out quickly and it was very well presented. A friend and I split carnitas nachos and they were amazing, lots of delicious ingredients and plenty of jalapeños. My friend had the tamales and they looked delicious but he was too stingy to give me a bite. My chile rellenos were so incredible — not the overblown, overstuffed, American style, instead these were simply delicious with just the right amount of heat and an amazing sauce, which was a riff on ranchero … I’m telling you they were the best I have ever eaten (and I lived in San Diego for 10 years and spent a bunch of time in Baja). I’m going back tomorrow for huevos rancheros. This place is legit.

Food and service was great. Love that it’s family owned. Had a quesobirria tacos and my husband (who is a picky eater) had a steak burrito with rice, cheese, and a little bit of lettuce. He said they got it right, which is hard to do. Would go back
