I had the most amazing strawberry smoothie with a tea base which I loved and I also had an iced tea that has elderberry in it. My daughter had the avocado toast and she said it was delicious! My son had the blueberry smoothie

Great atmosphere, incredible tea and lunch options, and relaxed but attentive service. This place single-handedly has the best tea options for a readily brewed iced or hot cup. It's so hard to find a place that really knows teas, not just coffees with teas slapped on as an afterthought. They know everything from steep time, to notes of each variety, to what it pairs with. I'd compare an experience here to going to a hidden away antique store with all sorts of wonders inside :) It is quaint, full of little knick-knacks and treasures to keep you busy while you wait, and overflowing with both simple and complex options. I definitely recommend trying their chicken salad with a croissant!

We headed out early this morning to go kayaking. We had brunch, bought tea, a local blueberry wine & a stump teapot at Tea House 650 in Crystal River, FL. Highly recommend this cafe/tea house! I had the quiche with Waldorf salad & my husband had the gourmet sandwich with iced tea. Fantastic!!

First time ever visiting a tea house. The smells were amazing, and the tea was so delicious.

Are you kidding me? Is this place for real? Did I really just have one of the best tea experiences of my life in Crystal River, Florida? Wow! I can't believe this! I had a chicken salad sandwich on gluten-free bread with a London fog That was absolutely delicious. I bought some of their Earl Gray to go. This was such a delightful surprise. They had little trinkets and soaps and other things to look at and shop for while I waited. There's lots of cute tables in an adorable room that is decorated beautifully. Also, I saw you could sit outside if you wanted... When I got home I tried the tea I had bought and it's some of the best t I've ever had! I can't wait to come back through town and visit again. If you have gluten-free allergies or dietary restrictions, this is the place for you! Lots of ways to feed yourself and not have to worry about your digestion. Cheers to all these people because what you're doing is wonderful. Keep up the great work!

So! My friends and I have been here a few times and loved it! The food is nice, the tea is great and the whole space is very sweet. The reason for the low star rating is because they changed their hours to be closed on a Sunday… I don’t fully understand why a tea shop would be closed on a Sunday. We have always visited on a Sunday.

I'm tired of drinking bag tea, and a friend from the UK suggested I try loose leaf tea. She said you can always order online. But it's best from a tea shop. I never thought for a moment there would be such a delightful shop right here. The ladies were so helpful in getting me started on my awesome journey of brewing and drinking tea. They give me simple s and they were very informative and all the teas they carry. And the food and desserts were positively delicious. I'm looking forward to many visits back. Also a fabulous place to gift buy, they have some beautiful things.

This was my second visit to Tea House 650. I will be going back again. And I would highly recommend. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. As soon as you walk in there is a table with Tea set out so you can try some of the flavors before making your selection. Tea options are great too. There’s a variety to match everyone’s favorite flavor. I have personally had the wild blueberry as well as the peach!! Both were excellent.

To call this place a tea house is a joke. You order your tea at a bar where they expect you to know the number on a table that might be open.Ok for a hot dog stand ,but not what you would expect from a tea house You get one cup of very weak tea, no pot etc like a real tea house. The so called scone was good but it was cake ,not a scone. And to top it off the bill was ridiculously high

This is a great little Tea House in the old parts of Crystal River. I highly recommend the Horseradish Roast Beef Sandwich with a matcha lemonade!

Tea House 650 has a charming ambiance with delightful free tea samples and tasty food. We visited at 10 am, ordered three dishes to go, and encountered a hiccup in the service. Despite only one other customer in their, our wait for the first dish was 30 minutes long, and it appeared the kitchen prioritized other orders for people that weren't even there. The staff seemed a bit annoyed when we mentioned our time constraints before a scheduled tour. We had to leave and come back for our other 2 dishes after our tour. When we returned later, the remaining dishes took an additional 40 minutes. On a positive note, Tea House 650 does offer excellent vegan options for both entrees and baked goods. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement in service efficiency. 🍵🍽️🤷‍♂️

Randomly came across this lovely and charming place. Staff is knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. Food was amazing we came back 3x in the same day. Purchased gifts for ourselves and for family and friends back home. Hallmark like feeling while in this establishment. Just wish this place was close to my home!

Spent 28$ for one ridiculously small tea. 1 scone , 2 very small cookies, and a cheese and spinach flat bread the size of one piece of pizza. That was burnt. The tea was very good.

The owner Gail is a rude and nasty character. I won't be back. She was purposely rude to me while taking my to to go order. She never made eye contact, made me beg her to take my order. She acted like she had better things to do. The lovely employee next to her who took my first order said nothing like this common and I could see she was intimidated. Then she asked what table I'm at even though it's a to go order yet she never brought it out and she made sure my first order was thrown out because the kitchen never got it and she made a big deal about connecting the 2 orders like I did it wrong. I TOLD HER SHE WAS BEING RUDE! She did it on purpose. I even bought gifts there. Food is like appetizer size and just okay. I'm a plant based eater and eat organic but I'll never return. She's a witch. Then to not make the first order, which was obviously malicious. I had to wait and she said nothing, no apology. She was enjoying this! I saw on another review site that she treats her employees like garbage and withholds tips til the end of the month. She made an inappropriate comment to an illegally hired youth about her body. Stay away for the love of decency!

Great tea house with lots of options.

Delicious food and drinks! Best latte' I've EVER had! Cute gift shop. We also buy their healthy and high-quality loose leaf teas. Very relaxing place with seating inside and outside.

Cute little place. Worst service ever. I waited to be served while people cut me in line and the wait staff giggled in the back room. I had to ask 3 different people for a scone. Great ice tea though.

The employees were lovely so I waited until they all changed jobs to leave this review. Tea House 650 owners treat their employees like garbage. Owners only allow cash tips and withhold all tips meant for employees for the month. At the end of each month the owners take their own share of all the cash tips they’ve collected before dividing the remainder among employees. Owners violated child labor laws. One owner made inappropriate comments to a minor employee about their body. One owner discriminates against religious beliefs. I have detailed information of every complaint I have against Tea House 650.

Customer service? Stellar! Food and tea of choice? Spectacular! Chefs kiss. Overall experience? Awe inspiring. Amazing start to my day! Thanks for all you do!

Everything was fresh, delicate, and flavorful, very nice for families and people looking for healthier/vegetarian/vegan fare. Good selection of sandwiches for the carnivores too.

I got the Tea House Panini and the Strawberry Smoothie and it was really good. The Atmosphere is just soo relaxing and peaceful and the service was great the Lady at the Counter was soo nice and accommodating. Just a really cozy, relaxing and pretty place.

I'm loving the rote grute iced tea and avocado toast and hubby got a decadent blueberry smoothie and blueberry lemon scone. This tea house is decorated so cute and smells good from the soaps they sell. Pretty artwork. One of my favorites in Crystal River. Friendly, helpful service and extensive menu. Sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries. Lots of homemade goodies. Excellent!

Gale is a very rude lady, she makes very rude comments and is very uncalled for. I do not recommend dining or working for them. The teas and foods might be good but I do not stand behind how the lady has treated people.

The owner of the Tea House is probably the least friendly mixed with the weirdest vibes of a business owner I have ever met, especially in hospitality. My wife and I showed up right at 10am, the place was empty so we found a table in the dining room. My wife and I both ordered breakfast and tea. I order a panini, my wife ordered soup. While we awaited our order, the owner who is an odd man (you’ll know what I mean if you see him) was pacing around the restaurant, with what looked like, on a mission of absolutely nothing. He would walk outside, then back inside. He would stare at us, continue walking. 1 minute later, he would do the same thing. Pacing all over the place, but never accomplishing anything. After about 15 minutes of doing the same thing, he finally said to us “you guys might need to find another table, we are going to be busy”. My wife and I looked around, being the only ones inside around 10:15 we were confused, questioned what he meant because literally every single table was open other than one that was filled outside with a husband and wife. We were not rude, and it wasn’t a big deal. My wife and I were sitting at a table for 4 - this is the only reason we could think he said something to us with such oddity in his demeanor. We asked him for his Wi-Fi, he told us we would have to steal Cattledogs Wi-Fi from next door as he wouldn’t give out his Wi-Fi password. Okay, no biggie. While waiting for our breakfast we cracked open a game of Backgammon. 10:30 goes by, 10:45, the man is still pacing everywhere, looking at us each time he goes by while we are our breakfast. At this point, there’s now one other couple inside with us, with every other table inside completely open. At this point, my wife is starting to feel extremely uncomfortable with this man giving us a weird stare down each time he paces by. At this point, I am now upset because my wife wants to leave because she’s uncomfortable - we just bought a full breakfast, teas, and even some ceramic boots for potted plants. We spent a good deal of money here yet we felt entirely unwelcome, and the place wasn’t ever busy. At all times there were multiple tables open, yet the eye piercing pressure that we received from this guy and the weird interactions were enough for us to end our backgammon game early and leave with intentions of never coming back. The place has potential, it a cool little place, the staff was wonderful, the food was pretty good. But unfortunately, the owner of this business killed it for us.

Our first time there for "brunch," and my wife and I were very satisfied with the food, customer service, and the overall atmosphere of the place! My chocolate cream truffle tea was so delicious, that I purchased a bag of the loose tea. Her french dip was excellent, and I had a bite. The meat was as tender as butter and the au jus had just a hint of garlic. My quiche and Waldorf salad was homemade and made with fresh ingredients and an almost artistic flair! We arrived just before the busy rush of customers, so it was still quiet, unencumbered, and peaceful. My wife also purchased a new infuser for me - in the shape of a manatee.The store also sells a slight selection of soup starter mixes and some tea-related equipment. Overall, as we reside very close to Crystal River, my wife and I will be sure to visit again... Next time on the sunny rear porch!

Great sandwiches, soups, and salads. Many choices of hot and iced teas. Quaint surroundings with nice items to purchase. Nice variety of loose leaf teas to buy. Very few parking places. And most unfortunately, the services has really gone downhill. If you have patience and time, it is a very nice lunch spot.

My boyfriend pup and I decided to stop in for lunch during the manager festival and were beyond satisfied! One of the gentleman even brought out a bowl of water for our Malibu! Everyone was extremely friendly and personable. The food was refreshing and delicious!

Love this adorable tea house. They are a little slow, but be patient because it’s worth the wait. Their teas are lovely. I have not eaten here yet, but everything looks very fresh and healthy and I’m looking forward to visiting for lunch one day soon.

We had a nice Thursday afternoon lunch. ( right now they are only open on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday) The inside was full when we arrived. It was very hot to sit outside. We ended up sitting at the bar. They waited on us quickly. We had taste of some of the specialty teas already made. My mother in law had the quiche and salad. We both thought that the quiche was delicious. Neither of us liked the Arugula spring mix salad. Just not our preference. The Tea house panini with the soup du jour (chicken & rice) was wonderful. I had the sauce on the side, just in case. It was very filling. We bought some soup mixes to go, and teas of course. It's a great place to eat nearby the shoppes in Crystal River. I'll be going back. Just check the hours before you go.

Horrible experience. To say the service at this business is subpar would be a gross understatement. Only visit if you have all day to kill. With the small portions you’ll need to stop by another spot for a real meal when you finally get out of there. I can see why they make you pay up front, walkouts would be common if not.

Greeted by a very kind lady taking in an order, Laura. She worked her way to my table when she was finished and offered me a menu that was filled with so many delicious things. I choose the Holiday sandwich, Turkey, cheese, rosemary mayo with cranberries grilled on Sunflower bread. OMG hopefully this sandwich is around after the holidays. Looking forward to going back already. I think that I just found another favorite place to enjoy some teas, coffee, wines and delicious food.

This was a 2nd time to visit for me and my sister. We love the quaint lil Tea House. We had the chicken salad with grapes and a croissant. The waitress forgot to turn in our order. As soon as we said something our order was out right away . We will be back since we are locals. Come and visit all the little shops in Crystal River and stop by the Tea House for lunch.

Service was friendly and servers were knowledgeable about the menu items. Totally enjoyed the calm atmosphere and fresh foods. I ordered the Cashew Butter, Broccoli, and Quinoa wrap,which is served with Humus and Kettle Chips (not pictured). The other guests I dined with ate the Broccoli Quiche with side salad and the half panini with the Wild Mushroom Soup (pictured). I even purchased gifts.

I work at a tea shop in Kansas and was looking for some good tea while on vacation. My family stopped for lunch where we were immediately welcomed and were told to have a seat. We received our menus and ordered some delicious teas and sandwiches. 650 is a great place to get a single cup of tea or any amount of loose leaf. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great cup of tea!

Amazing selection of teas, bakery products, kitschy and decorative stuff. Beautiful little shop staff that remembers you pretty quickly after the first visit or two. They can recommend you new flavors if something you liked is discontinued, are pretty good at help you pick what you want even if you don't know. Fabulous staff ladies, always kind and welcoming.

Love this place! Their scones are so crumbly and moist which is baffling. Their food is very fresh and on the lighter side and they are very helpful when choosing which tea you would like to try.

I stumbled upon this charming place. Let me say first the food was wonderful and the staff very pleasant. I ordered the Quiche with Waldorf salad but received the garden salad instead. The waitress was kind and offered to correct the mistake bringing me a larger portion size to make up for the error. When I checked out to pay I informed the Manager/Owner of the incident and how wonderful her staff was & how good the food was. I then decided to take a dessert for later so I ordered the lemon blueberry scone. A few hours later as I took a bite of my scone, I realized it was chocolate coconut! Very disappointing hence the 3 stars. Mind you the Manager/Owner took both my orders so just not sure if she was distracted even though both times at the register I was alone. With all that being said, I don’t usually write these but would definitely be back but I’ll check my order when it’s takeout.

This little tea house was also very delightful and I had never been before but I do plan to go back again. I had a turkey panini that was absolutely wonderful. They also had some unique gift items and what woman doesn't like to enjoy a little shopping as well.

Only go here if you want to pamper yourself when amazing tasty treats and great service. I have never tasted tea like the tea I’ve had here. I don’t know how they do it. Also food is very delicious. They must be very good to their staff because everyone is always happy and doing a great job.
